This year’s Golden Globes saw some impressive movies and TV shows go head-to-head for those shiny gongs.

There wasn’t too much surprise when it came to the main movie awards, with Best Drama going to 12 years a slave and American Hustle winning Best Comedy/Musical.

There was a murmur of recognition when it came to Best Actor in a Drama, won by Matthew McConnaughey for his powerful portrayal of Ron Woodruff in Dallas Buyers Club.

Staying with the fellas, Leonardo Di Caprio won Best Actor for a Comedy/Musical for his role as corrupt and wild stockbroker Jordan Belfort.

Cate Blanchett won Best Actress for her role in Blue Jasmine, while Amy Adams was awarded a globe for her portrayal of con artist Sydney Prosser.

Jennifer Lawrence and Jared Leto were awarded Golden Globes for their supporting roles in American Hustle and Dallas Buyers Club respectively.

Gravity seemed to disappoint in its predictions of numerous awards however Alfonso Cuaron did walk away with the Best Director award for the 3D science-fiction thriller.

Finally, Disney’s newest contribution Frozen won the Golden Globe for Best Animation.

Oh Jen, you really do keep us young.

The starlet has spoken about her disappointment following the kissing scenes she shared with on-screen husband Christian Bale in new movie American Hustle.

American Hustle director David O. Russell, who was spilling the beans on Jen’s real thoughts on her scenes with Christian Bale, recalls her saying: “I finally get to make out with Christian Bale and he’s a really fat guy. He’s Fatman, not Batman.”

To be fair, Bale isn’t exactly in the best shape of his life in the film and is a long way from his portrayal of Bruce Wayne in the Batman franchise, but for someone who got make out on screen with Bradley Cooper, we feel you have nothing to complain about, Jennifer!

We all know from past awards shows that Jennifer Lawrence is a big fan of photobombing and last night’s Golden Globes were no exception.

Jennifer was spotted lurking behind Taylor Swift making faces and generally acting the maggot.

The Hunger Games actress then went on to tell Taylor that she was going to come up and “push her down the stairs” to which Taylor replied, “People would love that”.

The girls both looked absolutely stunning, with Jennifer dressed in white Dior and Taylor looking classically beautiful in Carolina Herrera.

Ryan Seacrest later uploaded the incriminating photo onto his Instagram, labelling it “the most important photo from the #goldenglobes red carpet”.

We agree, keep up the good work Jennifer!

We nearly lost our beloved Jennifer Lawrence after a fog machine malfunctioned on the set of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in Atlanta.

According to sources: “filming came to an abrupt halt when this fog machine broke and began spewing so much dense smoke during a tunnel sequence that Jennifer literally disappeared from sight — and everybody panicked.”

Apparently, the 23-year-old and her co-stars were unable to find their way out of the smoke and were heard choking and coughing. The choking actually saved the day though as the noises of gagging and coughing helped set workers find the cast.

Thankfully, the assistant director had their priorities right and screamed: “shut off the smoke machines, get those big fans running… and get Jennifer out of there!”

Hollywood’s sweetheart was a little shook up after the ordeal and felt very nauseous.

Thankfully that’s all she suffered from; without Katniss who would save the city of Panem.
