Joan Rivers is not afraid to make the odd controversial comment – but her latest one is particularly dicey considering it was about Michelle and Barack Obama!

When asked by a reporter if she thought America would ever see a gay president, she replied:

“Well we already have it with Obama, so let’s just calm down.

“You know Michelle is a tranny?”

But the reporter didn’t know, so just to confirm, Rivers said:

“A transgender. We all know.”

Eh, ok Joan, whatever you say!

We really hope Michelle has a sense of humour!
