It’s only been a matter of weeks since Paris Jackson revealed her new butterfly neck tattoo to the world and already the 18-year-old has been back to the studio for more ink.

Using an Instagram story to document the tattooing process, the teen has today offered fans a look at her brand new John Lennon inspired piece of body art.

In a post captioned “the yeti permanently stamped my skin with the face of a legend today” Michael Jackson’s daughter shared a pic of an inner arm tattoo of John Lennon’s face underlined by lyrics from his song Imagine.

Earlier this summer Paris explained how she uses arm tattoos to cover scars left from periods of self harm.

According to Teen Vogue, she stated on Instagram: “Today I can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, I don't see a dark past anymore.  My scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity…and depth.”

“Sure I will always carry my past with me, but I see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving.  They represent strength for me.”

The John Lennon tattoo’s Insta debut comes just days after Paris shocked fans by sharing a heart-wrenching video in which she revealed the distress she’s suffered at the hands of online bullies.

Hopefully getting this latest piece of ink is a sign that the star is ready to put the effects of such hate behind her.

Just last night, the Bataclan concert hall in Paris was the site of one of several attacks around the French capital.

Dozens of innocent concert-goers died when gunmen stormed the venue where Californian rock band Eagles of Death Metal were playing to a crowd of 1,500 people.

Today, the concert hall was the site of one musician’s heart-felt message. The talented pianist cycled to the famous Parisian venue and performed a moving rendition of John Lennon’s Imagine.

Surrounded by the public and the press, his performance was recorded and shared with millions.

According to a Wall Street Journal reporter in Paris, the pianist arrived at the scene with a piano attached to a bicycle. He has not been named yet, but there is speculation that it is noted pianist Davide Matello.

You can watch his beautiful performance below:

Pianos, guitars, masks, clothing and… em, fake teeth, were among the items being auctioned at the Idols & Icons: Rock and Roll Auction in LA last weekend.

The collection of ridiculously-rare items were collected by Julien's Auctions, 'the auction house to the stars.'

The teeth up for grabs were worn by Michael Jackson in Thriller and the instruments were among those used by John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Elvis Presley and Nancy Wilson.

There was also the mask that Lady Gaga wore in her Bad Romance video.

But most notable, was Kurt Cobain's cardigan, worn in the 1993 MTV Unplugged performance that won a bid of more than €128,000.

The green mohair cardigan is an item that many fans say defined Kurt as he wore it during one of Nirvana's best live shows. The Grammy-winning performance was one of the band's final performances before Kurt's tragic suicide in 1994.

Other major bids on the weekend included John Lennon's acoustic Gibson J-160E quitar, that sold for €2.2m. three times the estimated bid.

When we heard research was carried out to see what song was the most iconic of all time, a few artists came to mind – but not Nirvana.

Scientists at the University of London have created an algorithm to find out which songs are the most iconic of all time.

They researched lists of greatest songs from sources including Rolling Stone and VH1 and then they studied each song's key, the beats per minute, chords and song variance to see how musicians make their songs more memorable.

The study, carried out for Fiat in order to find the best song to promote their new car, was conducted by Dr Mick Grierson.

Mick said, "We looked at a range of measures for each song and compared them to see if there were similarities in these recordings which occur less in other songs."

However, he told the Daily Mail that there is no "formula" for creating an iconic song.  It just has to "sound great".

"Even by applying scientific process, what is considered iconic is ultimately up to the individual.”

“My conclusion is that if you want a formula for creating great music, there is one: you just have to make something that sounds great."

Very vague, but we understand!

Coming in at the top spot is Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, which was released in 1991 and featured on the band's second album, Nevermind.  It beat John Lennon's Imagine into second place and U2's One came third.

Here's the songs that made the top 10:

1. Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana

2. Imagine, John Lennon

3. One, U2

4. Billie Jean, Michael Jackson

5. Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen

6. Hey Jude, The Beatles

7. Like A Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan

8. I Can't Get No Satisfaction, Rolling Stones

9. God Save The Queen, Sex Pistols

10. Sweet Child Of Mine, Guns N' Rose

Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous style, remember that time she wore the meat dress?

It’s also kind of hard to forget that time showed up in Paris literally dressed as a star.

Last week though, the pop powerhouse was at the opening ceremony of the 2015 Baku European Games in an unusually understated white flowing long-sleeved gown.

For all her usual outrageous antics and wacky onstage behaviour, it was her incredible vocals that were most on display as she covered John Lennon’s Imagine. From behind her piano covered in a blanket of flowers the ARTPOP singer delivered an incredibly powerful performance.

It’s been a while since she treated us all to a display of her impressive vocal range, and yes, it really is impressive. She moved the jam-packed stadium of sports fans to absolute awe as she put everything into the performance, especially that second verse.

The video has only now appeared on YouTube for us all to witness her musical prowess. It will give you chills, seriously.

Earlier this month, Gaga was in Britain to perform with Tony Bennett at the Royal Albert Hall in London but unfortunately had to cancel. The pair have confirmed they won’t be rescheduling because of their other commitments.

Still, Lady Gaga will be back in our lives next year as she’s set to star in Ryan Murphy’s highly anticipated American Horror Story: Hotel. We can’t imagine someone more perfect for the brilliantly creeping series.

The growing cast also includes Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson and Chloe Sevigny.
