Some very exciting baby news from Hollywood this morning as it's been revealed that Josh Hartnett is expecting his first child with girlfriend Tamsin Egerton.

Josh and English model Tamsin confirmed the news via their rep overnight, saying they were "beyond thrilled."

The couple met back in 2011 on the set of their film The Lovers, and although Josh was also seeing fellow actress Amanda Seyfried at the time, he clearly saw something special in Tamsin as the pair have now been together for over three years.

Tamsin had spoken openly in interviews last year about wanting to wait before having a child, but it seems she changed her mind in recent months. "Not yet… I'm 25! I want to stay travelling and working as much as possible," the Love, Rosie actress told Mail Online when asked about plans for a family in October of last year.

An interview with Josh just a few months ago told a different story, however, with the Black Hawk Down star telling reporters he was already thinking seriously about starting a family. "'I have to get a car that's safe for my kid. I don't have a kid yet, but that's the idea coming into my head these days," he admitted to Playboy.

Prior to meeting Tamsin, Josh was linked to a string of stars including Rihanna, Mischa Barton and Scarlett Johannson. Now though, he appears to be ready to settle down and we couldn't be happier for him.
