Matthew McConaghey is spreading his wings and branching out by joining his old university as a professor, no less.

The actor and producer is set to start working in the Radio-Television-Film department at the University of Texas at Austin in September and will teach a class on script to screen film production.

He said: "It's the class I wish I would have had when I was in film school. Working in the classroom with these students gives me a chance to prepare them.

"Making movies, turning words on paper into film, is both a science and art – no matter the time or generation. The elements of truth and genuine joy for the process are timeless. That will always be our classroom focus."

The 49-year-old graduated in 1993 with a film degree from the university, and went on to win an Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. The McConaissance is real, gals.

Noah Isenberg, chair of the Department of Radio-Television-Film at the university, said: "He has a passion for teaching, and for all things cinematic, that is palpable, even infectious."

Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen, because yet another nostalgic movie from the early noughties is coming back with a bang.

The 2003 romantic comedy How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days is returning to our screens in the form of a reboot, and we are LEAPING for joy.

The flick starred Kate Hudson as a magazine journalist tasked with driving a man away, and Matthew McConaughey as an advertising executive who must make a woman fall in love with him respectively.

Writer Guy Branum, who previously worked on The Mindy Project, confirmed he was working on the project as a TV series for new streaming service Quibi.

Branum wrote to his followers on Twitter about the momentous task;

"We were all certain you could not make a good romantic comedy anymore because print media is dead and com-com ladies have to work at magazines (we feel seen).

"…but against the tides of history, Quibi & Paramount have agreed to let me re-write How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days."

He added; "I will be observing and consulting numerous photos of shirtless Matthew McConaughey to properly research this task."

This was the handsome actor's pre-'McConaissance' days, remember?

Kate Hudson has something to say about her comments on raising daughter Rani ''genderless.''

The 39-year-old had spoken to AOL when she said that she and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa were planning on bringing up Rani Rose with a  "genderless [approach]." 

The actor took to Instagram to straighten out her comments.

She continued, ''This whole click bait tactic of saying I'm raising my daughter to be 'genderless' is silly and frankly doesn't even make sense."

Her post went on to say that, ''I raise and will continue to raise my children, both my boys and girl to feel free to be exactly who they want to be. To feel confident in their life choices and feel loved and supported no matter what."

She added, ''I just try to raise my kids to be good people with the best tools to face this big crazy world. And if they grow up and identify with something different than what others want to identify them as…Mama's cool with it! Kate also made the point that she felt the question of gender was a bit old-fashioned as she believes that, ''not all girls want to be a princess, some want to be king."

Rani is Kate's first daughter and first child with boyfriend Danny.

She also has two sons from previous relationships – 15-year-old Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson and seven-year-old Bingham with ex-fiance Matt Bellamy.

Kate calls her daughter her “little rosebud” after her middle name – Rose. She gave Rani her first name after her grandfather Ron.

“Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor,” she said.

Little Rani Rose is looking more like her mum with each passing day and we hope Kate continues to share cute snaps of her baby girl.

Kate announced her birth on Instagram as well as her unusual choice for a name.

She wrote, ''we have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour."

She also spoke about how she is adjusting to the new family life saying, ''everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thank you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send our right back.

As if there aren’t enough bums on the Internet already, actress Kate Hudson has gone and uploaded a new nude to Instagram for no obvious reason other than because she can.

In the full-length image the A-list star can be seen posing as she looks out a large window with her bare bum to the camera – you know, as you do.

The dimly lit photo is captioned with no other explanation than the hashtags “#tbt”, “#PrettyHappy”, “#LOVE” and “#AlmostFriday” but in fairness to the star she probably doesn't need an excuse when she looks that good in the share.

Kate hit headlines last month after a pretty revealing bath pic of her was posted by her stylist. 

According to numerous news outlets, the steamy pic was intentionally published to make Nick jealous as things had fizzled out before Christmas. 

And if that's to be believed, it apparently worked. 

1) Kate's assertion that she is "very happy"  

In an interview on CBS This Morning earlier this week, Kate couldn't help but smile when asked about Nick. 

"He's a great guy. He's a sweetheart.

"Apparently, we have a really beautiful connection!"

What's the key to keeping your toyboy in check? A very pert derrière according to Miss Kate Hudson. 

While Nick Jonas and Kate's romance was supposed to be a casual fling it seems that the pair have taken their relationship well into winter as they were snapped together on a ski trip earlier this month. 

However, things were not always simple between the on-again, off-again couple.

According to US Weekly, a source revealed that Nick had made the decision to end the fling in November but it would seem that Kate had a cunning plan. 

That very month, Kate's stylist Sophie Lopez took to her Instagram to share a Polaroid snap of Kate in the tub. 

The 36-year-old actress even posted a cheeky comment on the pic saying: "Omg! You are so fired! #Fabletics."  

But if this source is to be believed, Sophie was told by Kate to post this in order to show the 23-year-old singer exactly what he is missing. 

And if all this is true, then it would seem that the plan has most definitely worked as the handsome due seem to be still together. 

The pair were spotted hanging out over the summer though they have remained tightlipped about any romantic relationship. 

Kate has two children from previous marriages to Muse frontman, Matthew Bellamy and lead singer of rock group the Black Crowes, Chris Robinson.
