A royal etiquette expert has explained some of the more confusing royal style rules to news.com.au, and we can't even process how strange this is.

With a rake of high profile events in the Buckingham Palace calendar, The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex have the chance to wear the finest jewels in the world.

Both women possess some beautiful jewellery of their own, and from their late mother-in-law Diana, Princess of Wales.

The pair are frequently given permission to wear select pieces from the royal collection, as well as their own. Basically, they own a shed-load of bling.

“Other jewels are worn pre-6pm,” Meier told news.com.au, which explains why the duo are normally only seen sporting stones like pearls and topaz, or minimalist precious metal pieces during the day as well as their engagement rings.

The Duchesses are meant to avoid looking "flashy" before the evening time, for some reason.

"At night, you’ll see the diamonds come out, and that’s in order to not come across as flashy in your appearance.”

Considering their lifestyle is fairly different to our own, we don't think not wearing jewels while the sun is up will suggest that they're just like us.

James Middleton has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Alizee Thevenet. The businessman proposed in the Lake District this week.

He took to Instagram to reveal the joyous news. James posted a photo of him and Alizee, who look as loved up as ever.

He captioned the snap, “She said OUI.”

He added, “Our secret is out but we couldn’t be happier to share the news.”

The Duchess of Cambridge’s brother has been dating Alizee for over a year. They just moved in together in West London in September.

A source said, “It wasn’t until after they’d met for a drink that Alizee realised who he was — one of her friends had to tell her.”

Alizee’s father said his daughter is ‘deliriously happy’ with James.

You can have your chance to stay in a property beside Prince William and Kate Middleton's country house in west Norfolk, and it's cheaper than a one-bedroom flat in London.

The Sandringham Estate listing have one catch; tenants must be cat-free and vetted, instead of a first-come first-served basis.

The Sandringham Estate rents out an array of properties in the area, including 20 Cherry Tree. The cottaged terrace has two bedrooms across from Amner Hall.

The property has a huge amount of green garden space and parking, but its famous neighbours will most likely be the main draw.

The letting adds, "Properties are not let on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather on which prospective tenant is best suited to the property."

They have a very strict no cat policy, but dogs will be "considered". The area has only 29 houses and a population of roughly 63 people.

Anmer has a small population but a wide variety of amenities including; a social club offering film nights, quiz evenings and barbeques, an active Bowls Club and a Women’s Institute and a 14th century church; St Mary the Virgin.

Most of the homes in the village were lived in by those employed at Amner Hall and the Royal estate.

We're shaken, but not stirred, with the latest Bond 25 news.

Prince Charles has reportedly been invited to join Daniel Craig in the next superspy movie, according to The Sun.

The heir to the throne "discussed" a potential cameo in the next flick, while visiting the set of the film alongside 007 stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris.

The source added;

Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth’s previous Bond cameo was at the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and received rave reviews so he'd have big shoes to fill.

A convincing body double of the Queen made a dramatic entrance to the London stadium by throwing herself out of a helicopter and parachuting down into the tournament.

Another insider also told The Sun that if Prince Charles turns down the opportunity, then “Harry and Wills could be in producers’ sights next"

The source continued;

 Kensington Palace recently revealed that the Duke of Cambridge has undertaken a three week internship with MI6, MI5 and GCHQ, which Prince William called “a truly humbling experience”. 

“Spending time inside our security and intelligence agencies, understanding more about the vital contribution they make to our national security, was a truly humbling experience,” he said

He continued;

 “These agencies are full of people from everyday backgrounds doing the most extraordinary work to keep us safe. They work in secret, often not even able to tell their family and friends about the work they do or the stresses they face. They are driven by an unrivalled patriotism and dedication to upholding the values of this country. Bond 25 is due out in spring of 2020, though production issues have halted production numerous times.

Daniel Craig received an ankle injury on set which required him to have surgery, and director Danny Boyle left the film over creative issues. Cary Joji Fukunaga has replaced him in the director's chair.

Another source told The Sun, “Bond 25 producers are desperate to sign Prince Charles. It is no secret that the film has suffered a number of setbacks but landing a royal could be just what the movie needs.”

Appearing in the coveted Vogue magazine is one of the most lucrative gigs in the media and fashion business, and it looks like Meghan Markle will be involved in the September issue.

The Duchess of Sussex will reportedly invite photographers into her Frogmore Cottage home for a photoshoot, but without Prince Harry and her newborn baby Archie.

The royal, philanthropist and global style icon will be joining British editor-in-chief Edward Enninful to create the most important issue of the entire year.

Enninful has been forward in his intentions to diversify the magazine, which is perhaps why Meghan arranged the collaboration directly with him rather than US Vogue boss Anna Wintour.

The British editor has been a long-standing fan of the Duchess. In an interview with The Evening Standard, he previously expressed his hope of her appearance in the magazine:

An insider Vogue source told the Sun : "Meghan is going to write a piece on causes such as female empowerment and women’s education.

"Edward has been courting her since day one. Anna is massively miffed that she’s missed out. This is nothing to do with Archie, or family, or home life. It’s purely on women’s empowerment."

Meghan's editorial debut will also include an opinion piece and a list of female 'change-makers', who will pen personal essays within the iconic pages also.

The former actress appeared on Vanity Fair's infamous cover after her relationship with now-husband Prince Harry became known.

The Duchess of Cambridge previously appeared on the cover of Vogue UK for it's 100th edition, in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery.

We'll have to wait and see if Meghan's collaboration will resemble Kate Middleton's in any way. The new mum was recently named one of Vogue's 25 Most Influential Women of 2019.

James Middleton has confirmed his relationship with French financial expert Alizee Thevenet. The 32-year-old took to Instagram to share a loved up snap of him and his girlfriend with his followers.

The duo are sailing together in the romantic shot. James captioned the photo, “Sail away with me.”

He captioned his latest snap, dated New Year's Eve;

“Proud of Ella for becoming a PAT dog this year. Animals can provide a sense of calm, comfort, or safety and divert attention away from a stressful situation and towards one that provides pleasure.”

He shared photos of at least eight other dogs, among his own pet family includes a gorgeous Golden Retriever, a black Labrador, and multiple Cocker Spaniels.

Looking through his posts that offer an insight into his Scotland life, three main themes which emerge about the future Queen Consort's little brother are; animals, selfies and celebrity cameos.

Many candid family moments are also on display, such as those from charity events with Pippa and even some images of his ex-girlfriend Donna Air.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome their first child into the world in 2019, but it looks like the royal couple may be saying hello to their tiny tot sooner than we first thought.

Meghan Markle was glowing at her solo royal engagement this morning. The mum-to-be charmed residents at the Royal Variety residential nursing and care home in Brinsworth House in Twickenham.

The Duchess wore a grey and white floral Brock Collection dress that showed off her growing bump perfectly.

She kept herself warm in a sleek grey winter coat by Canadian brand Soia & Kyo.

Duchess Meghan looked as beautiful as ever during her visit. She helped make Christmas decorations and enjoyed a merry carol service with the men and women of the Royal Variety nursing and care home.

One woman couldn’t help but ask Meghan how she was finding pregnancy and her response was so sweet.

The royals tend to avoid personal questions, but Meghan happily told the residents that she was doing “very good.”

The nursing home helps men and women who have worked in the entertainment industry and are in need of help and assistance due to old age, poor health or hard times.

The Duchess of Sussex has certainly been winning over the public during her solo royal engagements. We’re sure it can be quite daunting without Harry by her side, especially as he is a professional at this stage, but Meghan is certainly proving she was made for this role.

A royal source told The Sun that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned down Prince William and Kate’s offer to host them this Christmas.

However, Kensington Palace has spoken out in response, saying that this claim is untrue.

But while it was confirmed that the fab four would spend the day together, the palace could not say whether they would continue the celebrations side-by-side or go there separate ways afterwards.

The happy couples spent last year’s Christmas together during which they reportedly had a fantastic time.

There is no doubt that the Queen is overjoyed to spend the holiday with her beloved grandsons and granddaughters-in-law.

Last month, Kate Middleton shut down the gossip when she gushed about Meghan and Harry’s baby.

It seems she is happier than ever for her sister-in-law and can’t wait to meet the family’s newest arrival.

“It’s such a special time to have little kiddies and a cousin for George, Charlotte and Louis,” Kate said.

“It’s really special.”

Kensington Palace wanted to make sure that the public were not misinformed and was eager to confirm the two couples were spending the holidays together.

So we will just have to wait and see how it all unfolds at Sandringham but for now, it appears there is no bad blood between the four.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have brightened up our Friday morning by releasing a new photo of their darling family.

Kensington Palace posted the adorable photo on behalf of the parents this morning.

They tweeted: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family."

The photo features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.

The family-of-five look as happy as ever in the wholesome snap which was taken by Matt Portenous at Anmer Hall.

We simply cannot cope with just how cute Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis look.

The family-of-five have had quite the magical year since Prince Louis was born in April.

Christmas at the Cambridge household is bound to be extra special this year.
