Katherine Jenkins says she is ‘besotted’ with her new arrival
Katherine Jenkins has given birth to her first baby.
The Welsh opera singer and husband Andrew Levitas welcomed their baby girl Aaliyah Reign Levitas on Wednesday. The couple announced her arrival on Instagram.
The proud couple wrote: "We are absolutely besotted with her & grateful for the beautiful blessing of this happy, healthy, little miracle.”
It seems like the little one could already be following in her famous mom’s footsteps as according to the pair, little Aaliyah “came loudly into the world weighing almost 7lbs and surrounded by love.”
Andrew also added that Katherine is “recovering well” while “Daddy couldn’t be prouder of his two gorgeous princesses.”
Andrew, a painter and sculptor originally from the US, married in September 2014.
They announced Katherine’s pregnancy seven months later. Not long before the news Katherine had revealed her desire to start a family:
"I do really want a family," she told the Sunday People. "Please God, touch wood, we'll be lucky and they'll be fit and healthy. That's all I care about…Having kids is on the list of priorities. We'll see what happens."
