It’s the feud that has engrossed us all – and now that Katy Perry (AND inadvertently, Rihanna) have chipped in too… things have just got a whole lot better.

Following on from yesterday’s explosive social media battle between Tay-Tay Swift and a seemingly snubbed Ms Minaj, yet more A-listers have been adding in their tuppence worth.

And leading the onslaught is certainly Ms Perry, who seriously got the claws out when she accused her former BFF (and now arch nemesis) Taylor of capitalising “on the takedown of a woman”.

Tweeting to her 73million followers, the 30-year-old stated: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…”

OUCH!

She also then dragged Rihanna, 27, into the dispute, saying the real VMA nominations travesty was that the Barbadian singer’s controversial Bi**h Better Have My Money video wasn’t eligible this year, having only been released recently.

It has long been rumoured that 25-year-old Ms Swift’s hit Bad Blood single was a less-than subtle dig at Katy over unresolved personal issues between the two.

And last September Taylor also said in an interview with Rolling Stone the song was about a female musician and “straight-up enemy”.

Katy furthermore appeared to call her one-time friend a “Regina George in sheep's clothing” on social media.

The feud reportedly ignited when three of Taylor's dancers quit to go work for Katy on her massive world tour, with Swifty explaining in the same Rolling Stone interview: “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.

She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

The pair have also both at one time or another dated Hollywood player, John Mayer.

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are very different people these days from when they started out as country music's sweethearts back in their teens.

While at one stage they definitely seemed to be friends, neither of them have made any secret of the fact that they don't see eye to eye any longer, and Miley Cyrus took the opportunity to poke some fun at her fellow pop star on social media today.

The Wrecking Ball singer headed to Instagram to re-post a faceswap of Taylor and Justin Bieber with the caption "…they look like a cute lesbian couple."

We couldn't help but laugh, though somehow we doubt Taylor's reaction was quite as positive.

Back in 2008 and 2009, Taylor and Miley's friendship was the envy of tweens the world over, especially when they duetted to Taylor's hit Fifteen at the 2009 Grammys.

Fast-forward a few years though, and the singers had definitely grown apart, with Miley subtly criticising Taylor's outfit choice at the 2013 VMAs, saying that attendees were meant to have fun and were not "supposed to show up in a gown, Vanna White-style."

Plus, who can forget Taylor's reaction to Miley's Blurred Lines performance with Robin Thicke that very same year?

If the girls were on shaky ground before that, we reckon that awards show was certainly the last straw. Of course, this isn't the only badly-hidden feud Taylor has with a female pop singer, given that she and Katy Perry spent months slinging insults back and forth last year following a disagreement over backing dancers.

In a tell-all interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor said she was "straight-up enemies" with another female star, and though she didn't name Katy directly, it was almost certainly in reference to her.

"She did something so horrible," Swift says. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

As is to be expected, Taylor has not made any response to Miley's social media dig as yet, but you can bet there is some serious shade throwing going on behind closed doors…

They may only have broken up back in March, but it looks like things are already back on track for Katy Perry and John Mayer.

The pair were spotted looking every bit the happy couple on Saturday night as they cuddled and laughed their way through a Fourth of July gig by legendary rockers The Grateful Dead, according to TMZ. Fans were quick to post pictures of the pair on social media, like this one that popped up on Twitter:

Other fans reported seeing the pair enjoying themselves at the concert:

Although Katy didn't reference her cosy evening with John on her own social media profiles, she did subtly allude to her date night by posting this colourful picture of her hand holding a bunch of roses with the caption, "grateful."

This is the third time that Katy and John have reconnected after a break-up. Earlier this year they split following a brief reunion, and sources say the main reason for the split was Katy's busy touring schedule. "John can’t handle the lack of attention, and she can’t handle the trust issues she has when she’s so far away," an insider told RadarOnline at the time.

It was also rumoured that Katy suspected John may have cheated on her while she was away and he was in Los Angeles, though this was never officially confirmed.

Now that the pop star's schedule has calmed down, it seems the pair are trying to rekindle their romance.

First it was Taylor Swift, now it’s Demi Lovato. Katy Perry just can’t seem to stay on the good side of her fellow pop stars. The face of Moschino is under fire again, and this time it’s because Demi isn’t appreciating fans claiming her music is a rip-off of Katy’s.

Demi had plenty of reason to celebrate this week after her new single Cool For The Summer went to number one on the iTunes charts, but it was a short-lived celebration for the 22-year old as some music fans were quick to point out the sound wasn’t all that original.

After hearing complaints that the song sounded a little too like Katy Perry’s smash hit I Kissed a Girl, Demi lashed out on Twitter to stop the comparisons.

Fan were saying Demi’s new song sounded like a mix of Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl and Jessie J’s Domino, but Demi was quick to respond in defence of her work.

Katy has yet to respond, but given her history of dramatic catfights, we reckon it won't be long until she does.

Katy Perry has now been named the highest paid female musician in the world – as well as the third highest paid celebrity around.

Katy earned a huge €120m in the past 12 months and, according to the July edition of Forbes magazine, she earns more than many other of our favourite musicians… cough, cough arch nemesis Taylor Swift.

Still, Tay-Tay grabbed second place among the gals, earning a not-too shabby €71m over the past year (though she was only in ninth place in the overall list).

Thirty-year-old Katy took to Instagram to express her happiness at being named the top earning female performer.

"Before accepting the offer to be on the cover of Forbes, I was told that a lot of women have previously shied away from doing it. I wondered if it was because they thought socially it would look like they were flaunting or bragging or it wasn't a humble decision."

The Teenage Dream singer went on to explain that there is a difference between being cocky and being proud of what you have achieved: "Ladies, there is a difference between being humble and working hard to see the fruits of your labor blossom, and your dreams realized."

Finally, the ex-wife of comedian Russell Brand went on to tell all women out there that it's OK to be happy with what you have achieved.

"Hopefully this cover can be an inspiration to women out there that it's okay to be proud of hard earned success and that there is no shame in being a boss. Also… don't think that I didn't celebrate this moment by going straight to Taco Bell and getting my crunch wrap supreme"

In the women's category, Katy came in ahead of Ellen DeGenerous (3rd), Beyonce (4th), Lady Gaga (5th) and Kim Kardashian (6th).

Katy has her mega-selling Prismatic World Tour, which saw her travel to 24 countries and perform 127 concerts, to thank for her huge fortune.

Katy Perry is barely recognisable in these latest images from Moschino’s striking new campaign.

The 30-year-old singer appeared remarkably different in the shots, one of which she has now posted to Twitter. Wearing a gold bralet, heaps of chains and a cropped denim jacket, Katy was even sporting her much talked about pixie-cut. Very retro glamour.

With a tight black pencil skirt accessorised with even more heavy gold chains, the grunge-glam style shoot is giving off a very Madonna type vibe.

Not all that surprising considering both Katy and Madonna were a part of the Met Gala Moschino squad not too long ago.

Designer for the brand, Jeremy Scott, and Ms Perry are close friends too so it’s no surprise the Firework singer has been enlisted for the Moschino Fall 2015 campaign.

He was also responsible for dressing the star for her recent, much-talked about Super Bowl performance. Back in 2014, she also modelled in the Moschino show during Milan Fashion Week.

And wait a minute: doesn’t that gold quilted bra look a little familiar?

Being of an eagle-eyed persuasion, we realised that that gold number is the very same one she wore at Coachella earlier this year. Back then, Katy paired it with some over-sized (emphasis on the over) gold hoops and patch-work denim jeans.

It’s been a busy week for the singer too: not only did the Moschino image generate serious buzz on social media, but her Dark Horse video reached 1billion views on Youtube. That’s a first for any female singer. Wowsers.

OK, say what?

The internet went into a flurry earlier this week, when it was widely reported that Katy Perry was quietly planning to get her own back on former BFF, Taylor Swift.

Her means of revenge? A song aptly entitled 1984 – something which could only be, it was construed, a reference to Tay-Tay's hit 2014 album, 1989

But this morning, Ms Perry’s managers have thrown us a curve-ball; namely that there is NO 1984 song in the pipeline.

Talking to E! her people say that the story is totally fake and that Katy had no involvement in writing, recording or registering the song.

That's told us, so.

In the aftermath of the mix-up, we're wondering if a reconciliation could now be on the cards for the former besties? If nothing else, surely by now the row has run its course.

To recap: the feud between the superstars has been going on for close-to two years and in that time they've both strongly alluded to (albeit without explicitly stating anything), the falling-out in interviews and on Twitter.

Though Katy might be feeling a little raw still. After all, it's not all that long ago that Ms Swift was gathering up some Hollywood heavyweights to help her make a point via her scathing Bad Blood video.

As we previously reported, a source close to 30-year-old Ms Perry said she felt the video "was a little desperate”.

Apparently the one-time wife of Russell Brand also thought that TayTay “tried too hard".

Let’s just hope for Katy’s sake that she didn’t take the celeb appearances in the video too personally. Otherwise her Hollywood friends list is going to become a whole lot shorter.

As recently as three years ago, singers Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were bosom buddies, appearing arm-in-arm at awards ceremonies, parties and fashion weeks.

But their relationship has in more recent times soured – and Taylor Swift's recent Bad Blood video is widely believed to be a dig at her former BFF.

Now Ms Perry appears to be on the war-path herself: she has legally and officially registered a song called 1984 with BMI, a major music publisher.

The significance? Her nemesis released the massively successful 1989 album last year to critical and commercial acclaim.

Coincidence… we think not.

The pair are believed to have met around 2009, and they shortly afterwards struck up a friendship.

In the preceding months, Taylor, 25, and Katy, 30, would regularly Tweet at each other, also posting cosy images together on social media. Ms Perry even made a guest appearance on stage at one of Tay-Tay's shows.

But by 2012 things had begun to turn sour. And then a year ago, the feud was pretty much confirmed when Taylor revealed the inspiration behind Bad Blood.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"

She added that in 2013, this person then "did something so horrible, I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies'".

Ms Swift continued: "It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

Meanwhile, in response Katy herself Tweeted a reference to the film, Mean Girls, and later unashamedly admitted it was directed at her one-time pal. And evidently she feels the battle isn't over just yet.

Sadly, there is as yet no indication as to when 1984 might be released.

When Ellie Goulding posted and then promptly deleted an Instagram picture of herself and a group of gal pals over the weekend, the internet promptly jumped to conclusions.

The Lights singer was hanging out at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood when she shared a group shot including fellow stars Lorde and Katy Perry among others – but she soon had second thoughts.

When the photo disappeared from Ellie's page just hours later, many assumed it was to avoid any bad feelings with the singer's bestie, Taylor Swift, given her long-running public drama with Katy.

What started as a business issue when Katy poached Taylor's dancers for her own tour last year has since turned personal, and neither star looks set to back down anytime soon.

In fact, Taylor's newest single Bad Blood is said to be a direct dig at Katy, with the video even featuring a "villainous" Selena Gomez in a very Katy-esque black wig.

So did Ellie delete the picture to keep Taylor sweet? Definitely not, she says.

"I deleted that because I looked bad in it," she told ODE Entertainment at the Glamour Awards. "I think I was a bit drunk and I thought it wasn't a very good example of myself."

Ellie admitted she deletes pictures of herself "all the time" when she reckons she's not looking her best. She's just like us, so…

While there has been a lot of back-and-forth bitchiness between Katy and Taylor, one of the girls in particular refuses to go into detail about the feud.

"I'm never going to talk about her [Katy] in my interview. It's not going to happen," Taylor told The Telegraph recently.

"It's not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone. I have my friends. I have enemies. I have bad days…I'm not nice all the time but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don't deserve it."

Katy Perry may have split from Russell Brand over three and a half years ago, but their split still seems to be big news.

The singer took to Twitter just now to hit back at Sydney's Daily Telegraph newspaper for re-printing quotes from an interview she did with one of their journalists three years ago, leading readers to believe it was a new interview.

The quotes, which are mainly to do with Russell, were picked up by a number of media outlets over the weekend and include the line, "He [Russell] hasn't spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce."

Now Katy has called out the journalist in question to her 70m followers, saying his conduct was "inappropriate."

This is not the first time Katy has hit back at the Australian media. Last November she took to Twitter to complain about invasive practises by paparazzi Down Under.

Posting a picture of a typed open letter, Katy wrote, "Australian PRESS: You should be ashamed of your paparazzi and tabloid culture… I was stalked by many grown men today as I tried to take a quiet walk to the beach. These men would not stop as I pleaded over & over to let me have my space."

She even followed it up with images of a number of the photographers and the caption, "THESE ARE A FEW OF THE STALKERS."

We definitely won't be getting ourselves on Katy Perry's bad side, that's for sure.

Taylor Swift released her video for Bad Blood yesterday. It pretty much features everyone, including Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding. Seriously, don't be surprised if you spot your most distant cousin, your ex boyfriend and your pet goldfish somewhere in there.

Rumours have been circulating that the video is a major dig at Taylor's enemy, Katy Perry. Selena Gomez even plays the villain who is wearing a wig that is a very Katy-like bob style.

Of course, it may not be about Katy, but given Taylor's usual song inspiration, we're guessing it is.

Katy has now responded to the video after watching it.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: “She saw it, she thought the video was a little desperate and that she tried too hard but she isn’t going to worry about Taylor too much because she has her own career to worry about.”

"She felt slighted with the song but the video didn’t really bother her,” they added.

Hmmm…

Katy's friend Trevor McFedries appears to be defending his friend on Twitter. He toured with her in 2011. After TayTay's video aired at the Billboard Music Awards, he posted a cryptic tweet stating his disapproval.

"Using a group of women to take shots at another woman" beside a thumbs down emoji.

He then tweeted: "Let's be good to each other".

The reaction from his followers varied as some agreed while others don't believe the video is about Katy at all because some of her friends are featured in it.

One thing is for sure, we don't think this will be ending anytime soon.

We didn't even recognise Katy Perry in a picture she posted to Instagram recently.

The usually brunette babe was showing off bleached hair AND eyebrows in the dramatic picture, along with the caption: "TOMORROW one of favourite shoots I’ve EVER done is coming out on @wonderlandmag There’s a couple rotating covers… But here’s a sneak (peek) for now!"

Thankfully, it was only for her latest magazine shoot.

Saying that though, we actually think she still looks gorgeous!

We can't get over how different she looks with her hair slicked back and with lighter eyebrows.

The shoot appears to be eighties inspired and is for Wonderland magazine.

It's a big change, but we actually think we could get used to it.

This isn't Katy's first image change in a while as she recently took to Instagram to sport a new cropped hairstyle where she "asked for the Kris Jenner".

That girl can pull off anything.
