Blue Ivy has a playmate!

Singer Kelly Rowland has become a mum for the first time. The star and her husband, manager Tim Witherspoon, welcomed a baby boy yesterday.

"We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son," Kelly said in a statement. "We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!"

The little one was born weighing 7.5lbs and has been named Titan Jewell – a big name for a little boy!

Kelly and Tim married last June in a small ceremony in Costa Rica, and Kelly announced she was expecting a month later, sharing this cute snap of baby Nike Jordan sneakers to Instagram, with the caption, "I'll be stuntin like my daddy":

The Say Yes singer revealed last month that she couldn't wait to become a mum. "I'm excited to bring a child into the world," she told Elle magazine. "Sharing that experience with my husband is probably the most beautiful part."

Speaking about whether or not she would protect her new arrival from the limelight, the Destiny's Child star said, "I just plan to play it by ear. Everybody has their normal."
