After much speculation it has finally been confirmed that Lady Gaga will headline the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show.

According to Us Weekly, the Bad Romance singer has officially signed a deal which will see her follow in Beyoncé’s footsteps and perform as lead entertainer at the highly anticipated sporting event which is due to take place in Houston, Texas, on February 5.

While this will be the singer’s first time headlining the show, it will not be her first time performing on the NFL field.

Earlier this year she kicked off Super Bowl 50 with a performance of the US national anthem, a gig she described as “one of the highest honours of [her] career”.

Given that the event’s halftime show is always a major spectacle – and that Lady Gaga is well known for her over the top approach – we can’t wait to see what the star comes up with.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney broke off their engagement a few months back, and broke all our hearts in the process!

However, it would seem as though there is still a glimmer of hope for these two love birds.

Lady Gaga released her highly anticipated new song this week, and the lyrics have EVERYBODY talking!

Gaga refers to a "fake love" in this new track, aptly named Perfect Illusion.

What a great charity @OperationSmile. We love supporting you and all you do!

Despite the controversial lyrics, an insider told E! News that there is still a chance of reconciliation.

"It was a very intense, emotional relationship…Maybe she had some things she needed to get out of her system."

The source went on to say that "there's still a chance they may find their way back to each other."

Apparently, the couple have been working towards reuniting, and have been spending time together.

When a current popstar decides to cover a chart classic, it can go one of two ways.

And thankfully for Lady Gaga, her brief duet with Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, this morning went down an absolute storm with Instagram users.

Capturing the moment on camera for fans and followers, Emma, who now has a breakfast slot on Heart FM,  looked thrilled to be giving it her all with the queen of meat dresses.

And despite the fact Gaga altered her line from 'Wanna make love to ya, baby” to “I’ll make love to you, baby', the duet has received nothing but love from thousands of fans this morning.

"Omg I love it. They need to do a song together," wrote one while another added: "This has just made my life. Got a tear in my eye."

It's two generations of popstars, and it is EVERYTHING.

We were all shocked and saddened when Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney ended their engagement.

They're a bad-ass couple, and we were really rooting for them.

However, if this is anything to go by, there might still be a chance.

An insider close to Taylor told Us Weekly: "There is absolutely still a chance they can get back together."

The website also claims that even though Gaga has moved her things out Taylor's Chicago home, she kept her sparkling engagement ring.

The insider added that the break-up is also taking effect on both families.

"Both of their families are upset. And his co-stars tell him that they miss her. Everyone is hoping they get back together."

We are too!

Fans of Lady Gaga were left stunned this week when news broke that she and Taylor Kinney had called time on their five-year relationship.

But it looks like there's still hope for the pair, who met on the set of Gaga's You and I video in 2011, if the star's recent Instagram upload is anything to go by!

Sharing a black and white shot of the couple with their arms around each other, the Bad Romance singer said: "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break."

"We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared," she continued in the post which has been liked 362,000 in a mere six hours.

Reminding her followers that their separation is not simply tabloid fodder or there for the entertainment of the public, she added: "Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."

Lady Gaga's followers wasted no time showing their support for the couple's current predicament, with one writing: "As long as you guys stay strong in your love you will make it no matter how far or near you're from each other."

Overjoyed that the separation may not be a permanent one, another fan wrote: "I knew you didn't break up!"

"After seeing you two so happy and in love with each other I would have never believed that rumor," they added. (sic0

Here's hoping those guys can make it work.

Lady Gaga has reportedly ended her five-year relationship with actor Taylor Kinney.

E! News has reported that the pair – who met in 2011 on the set of Gaga’s You and I music video – have called off their engagement following months of speculation that their relationship was in trouble.

A source told E! that Gaga and Taylor “want to keep it private” before describing the situation as “heartbreaking”.

Currently it is unclear as to who broke up with who but the Just Dance singer has been spotted out without her engagement ring on two occasions in the last week.

Taylor proposed to Gaga with a sizeable heart-shaped diamond ring on Valentine’s Day last year.

Lady Gaga is making headlines once again, and this time she has been banned from China…yes BANNED!

Gaga met with the Dalai Lama, an exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, last week at the at the US Conference of Mayors in Indianapolis.

According to The Guardian, the pair discussed a number of topics, including yoga, charitable giving and mental health.

The Poker Face singer, who has an insane following of 17.5 million on instagram, then shared an image of herself and the Buddhist Monk on Monday in a move which sparked outrage in Bejing.

The Dalai Lama, who seeks autonomy for his Tibetan homeland, was exiled in 1959 after a failed attempt at an uprising against Chinese rule.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei spoke about the Dalai Lama, and his meeting with Lady Gaga, saying "There is a broad consensus internationally about what kind of person the Dalai Lama is and what he does internationally."

Commenting on her meeting with the world famous Monk on Instagram, Gaga wrote ' We must stay unified. Be Kind not only to your friends, but to your enemies.'

But it doesn't look like everyone is on the same page as the star.

"After the relevant incident happened, if you look at comments on the Chinese Internet, their anger has welled up," Hong Lei went on to say.

The social media backlash was evident, with one follower commenting on the picture saying 'You don't love your Chinese fans at all. Maybe you will lose all of them.'

'This old man is a cheater, he wanted to split China,GAGA don't trust him' another fan went on to say.

Following her meeting with the religious leader, the Communist party in China announced that Lady Gaga was to be put on a blacklist, and her entire repertoire was to be banned from the Chinese mainland.

Seems a bit extreme lads?

While Gaga has never played a gig in mainland China, she has a massive fan base there, and has played in Hong Kong and Macau.

Lady Gaga just landed herself a major new movie role – and we just LOVE who she's going to portray.

Yep, Gaga has been cast as Cilla Black (did anyone else religiously watch Blind Date as a kid?… No, just me then? OK) in a new flick based on the life of singer Dionne Warwick.

The movie will tell the story behind Dionne and Cilla's feud which was ongoing for years through their careers.

Dionne previously said that she didn't like Cilla, "because she stole my music," speaking of the time Ms Black covered her song Anyone Who Had A Heart which was number one in the UK charts for three weeks.

Taking on the role of Dionne is former Destiny's Child singer LeToya Luckett.

The news of the movie, My Life, As I See It, broke at the Cannes Film Festival yet no release date has been mentioned.

Since Prince's untimely passing on Thursday, we have heard from countless Hollywood heavy-hitters on the impact the Purple Rain singer had on them and their careers, but none of have pulled on our heartstrings as much as Lady Gaga's.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, the Til It Happens to You singer honoured the pint-sized pop sensation with a touching tribute which has us contemplating EVERYTHING this morning.

"I tend to believe that when we die our souls hover for at least a moment if not longer before they either rest or are recycled into the consciousness of an already living being or maybe a newborn baby," she wrote.

"Isn't it amazing Prince shared his soul with us so deeply before his death, and now after we will be replenished endlessly by both his legacy and all that he still has to give from the beyond."

"Thank you for sharing your life with us Prince," she continued. "Giving up your anonymity because you felt compelled to share your gift. We learned so much."

The 30-year-old Grammy Award-winner finished the post which was accompanied by an iconic shot fo the Raspberry Beret singer by writing:" You just found God early, he needed you upstairs to innovate in heaven."

Unsurprisingly, the post has proved hugely popular, clocking up almost a quarter of a million likes since its upload this weekend.

Lady Gaga's performance at the Oscars last week left us with all kinds of feelings.

Performing her song Til it Happens to You, she was joined on stage by a number of sexual assault victims in a moment that will not be forgotten easily.

Taking to Instagram today, she described the emotional journey to the stage.

"The first day of rehearsal with all the survivors I could barely get myself together. My body was wrecked with inflammation and pain, crying and shaking the whole walk to the stage.

"The whole night before I did not sleep. The fear of knowing I would finally face that I belonged in that group. I told them I was so sorry I couldn't be Lady Gaga for them, that I couldn't even get dressed.

"I could barely get through the song, couldn't hit any of the high notes. Hair wet, sloppy tee shirt jeans uggs, tissues. They all hugged me and told me that it was okay because it was more real this way, that they understood that they were in pain too.

"They told me they were there for me to support me because they believed this message needed to be heard. Without them I never could have felt strong.

"They accepted me for me, at my lowest and that was good enough for them, so somehow through the magic of their courage they made it good enough for me too."

We reckon Gaga slayed it. Watch the performance below:

From audio fails and slaying speeches to last minute cancellations, the Grammy Awards certainly did not fail to deliver in the entertainment stakes last night.

Topping headlines this morning was Taylor Swift who not only made history by being the first woman to win Album of the Year twice at the prestigious awards ceremony but also for taking the time to slam Kanye in her acceptance speech.

Last week Kanye debuted a song at his fashion showcase in New York which included the lyrics: "I made that bitch famous" in reference to Tay.

Taking to the stage with a new cropped hairstyle, Taylor, who had remained quiet on social media since the incident, was quick to defend herself.

"I want to say to all the young women out there – there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame."

Yas, queen!

Another young female singer who was expected to steal the show was Adele, but after suffering from audio and pitch problems during her performance of All I Ask, fans were left wanting.

Adele took to Twitter to explain the issues: "The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens."

While Rihanna had to cancel a performance of her new material due to an infection, Lady Gaga took to the stage channelling the late David Bowie as she donned a sparkly catsuit and bright orange hair.

Adopting Bowie's infamous Ziggy Stardust persona, the You and I singer bashed out a medley of the late singer's greatest hits including Heroes, Space Oddity and Let's Dance

However, the performance is garnering a certain amount of criticism with fans saying she was trying "too hard" while David Bowie's own son Duncan Jones seemed to tweet a comment that was thinly veiled with sarcasm.

In the awards stakes, Ed Sheeran has something to cheer about as he won his first Grammy for the song Thinking Out Loud

Justin Bieber also took home his first award while Kendrick Lamar swept away the competition taking home a total of five awards on the big night. Marc Ronsen and Bruno Mars also had a rather successful evening as Uptown Funk swept up two gongs including Record of the Year.

Lady Gaga is getting set to perform an eight-minute tribute to the late David Bowie at the Grammy Awards tomorrow night.

But the singer found a more permanent way to memorialise David, who died last month after a battle with cancer.

Gaga shared a series of Snapchat videos on Saturday which showed her getting a tattoo of the star on her left side. Ouch.

The 29-year-olds new tattoo is a copy of the Aladdin Sane album cover, where David is wearing the iconic lightening bolt across his face.

She captioned one of the snaps "this was the image that changed my life."

We can't wait to see Gaga perform tomorrow, and one thing's for sure, it's going to be an immense tribute.
