She confirmed her relationship with former flame Jake McLean mere weeks ago – seemingly in response to ex-fiance Mark Wright's claims she needed to "get over" him.

But Lauren Goodger evidently sees a firm future with the convicted armed robber: she has had his name tattooed on her wrist.

Making the revelation in her New! magazine column, the 28-year-old added that she "can always get it removed," if she changes her mind.

It seemingly was a spur-of-the-moment decision. The reality TV star explained: "I didn’t properly think about it beforehand, I just went and had it done.

"This is the s*** I do, ha ha! I’d been to pick up some garden furniture, had a pub lunch, then thought, 'I might get a tattoo…'"

And Jake appears to be have been in the dark in advance of the procedure too: she explained that her boyfriend laughed and said she's "mental" upon seeing the inking. 

The lovebirds recently enjoyed a sun-drenched mini-break in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, although rather awkwardly Mark and his new wife Michelle Keegan were also in the region at the same time – enjoying the final few days of their honeymoon.

Indeed, the coincidence is said to have prompted Mr Wright's online rant, which was directed at Lauren. In it, he called her "embarrassing" and "hurtful" and claimed that she needed to mention him regularly in order to make money.

Ms Goodger strenuously denied the allegations a day later.

The reality TV star has been refreshingly open about her on-going battles with the bathroom scales. 

Indeed, at the beginning of this year, Lauren Goodger was photographed wearing an orange bikini on a beach in Egypt. The resulting shots showed that the 28-year-old had gained a considerable amount of weight.

Writing in her New! magazine column shortly afterwards, she admitted: "I’m too upset and embarrassed to look at those photos of me in a bikini taken on holiday in Egypt.

"They make me feel humiliated – they’re horrendous."

She also revealed her weight: "I’m 12st 9lbs and the heaviest I’ve ever been, but I’ve been distracting myself with other things so I don’t have to think about it."

Still, it seems that they provided the motivation she needed to get in shape.

This evening, just six months after those pictures were released, Lauren took to Instagram to share her outfit for the evening – and in the process she truly wowed her fans. 

Donning a khaki-coloured playsuit, she also wore knee-high sandals from The Secret Runway. 

Her slim, tanned legs were on full display; as was her tiny waist.

And the online reaction was seriously impressed. 

"Looking good girl well done," said one Instagram user. "Keep it up don't lose to much though," they added.

"Best you've ever looked," remarked another. "How amazing does she look here?" asked a further user.

Another person was more playful, however. Tagging a friend, they laughed: "This could have been us if we stuck to our diet 6 months ago lol x"

After an online spat with her former fiance, Mark Wright, Ms Goodger confirmed last week that she had rekindled her romance with ex boyfriend, Jake McLean.

It was the week when – seemingly out of nowhere – Mark Wright and his one-time fiancee Lauren Goodger engaged in a spot of social media tit-for-tat.

Speaking of which, as Lauren's Middle Eastern jaunt comes to an end (and yes, Mark was also in the vicinity with this new wife, Michelle Keegan) we can't help but comment on her new-found confidence since losing weight earlier this year.

And for Lauren, confidence evidently means low-cut tops. Lots of low-cut tops, in fact.

PS… While this now famous shot isn't from her recent trip to the UAE,
we nevertheless think it perfectly sums up Lauren's endearing love
for all things low-cut. More power to ya, Ms Goodger!

Mark Wright took just about everyone aback in the early hours of this morning.

Taking to Twitter following a night out in Dubai, where he is enjoying the last moments of his honeymoon, he launched a scathing attack on his former fiancee, Lauren Goodger.

"It's hurtful to think one person needs to mention YOU every week to earn a living," he Tweeted: "If your reading this, please PLEASE respect my wife and STOP. Everyone has a past, get over it!!"

He concluded with: "I'm sure there is other ways to make money."

And considering Lauren has never been one to hold back and keep quiet, we've been waiting for her inevitable response ever since.

“Mark is right – this situation is incredibly embarrassing," a statement just released by her rep read. "Week after week Lauren has to suffer endless source story lies printed about her in the press surrounding Mark.

"The list is as long as it is ridiculous.

“It’s hurtful for Lauren to constantly be painted in this way," the statement continued.

Her rep also cited the reports of her attempting to gate-crash Mark and Michelle's wedding as "ludicrous".

Interestingly, the rep states that Lauren is actually "privately" with a new man: “Lauren has privately been in a relationship too and this unwanted attention surrounding her ex of many years ago is certainly not welcomed."

The statement concludes with: “She once again wishes them nothing but the best.”

Seems rather lady-like and civil – but are you #teamMark or #teamLauren?

Wowsers!! On his last night on honeymoon, newlywed Mark Wright has lashed out at his former fiancee, Lauren Goodger.

​The reality TV star and his wife of two weeks, actress Michelle Keegan, have been sunning themselves in The Maldives, and latterly in Dubai, where they remain now.

But following a final night-out in the Middle Eastern city, 28-year-old Mark couldn't help taking to social-media for a rant.

He said the "endless mentions" of him and his new love were "embarrassing" for Lauren and further revealed that lawyers have become involved in the situation.

He added: "It's hurtful to think one person needs to mention YOU every week to earn a living," before tweeting: "If your reading this, please PLEASE respect my wife and STOP. Everyone has a past, get over it!!"

He concluded with: "I'm sure there is other ways to make money."

Don't hold back, Mark!

Lauren and Mark dated on-and-off for more than a decade, and were even engaged for a period of time.

However, within six months of their 2012 split he met Michelle – and evidently was smitten. He popped the question within nine months, and they married in a lavish €1.4m ceremony in Suffolk late last month.

It is suspected that a picture Lauren posted to Instagram may have sparked her former love-interest's anger. In the shot, which she has entitled, "Dubai my holidays," complete with a double-heart emoji, she is seen holding a glass of champagne having tucked-in to a lobster feast. Interestingly, just six hours later, Mark began his tirade.

Following his late-night outpouring, Essex-native Mark made sure to re-Tweet messages of support from his fans. One said: "Actually about time you did write something Mark! Good on you."

Another stated: "Very well said Mark – why can't she just leave you and your lovely wife alone and move on.

Although, a third fan highlighted: "Don't give her the attention & publicity she craves, leave lawyers to deal with it. Congratulations on your wedding xx"

Ms Goodger raised eyebrows when she posted a cryptic message to her Instagram account just 48hours before Michelle walked up the aisle.

In it she wrote: "She's the kind of girl a guy meets when he's too young, and he f***s up because there's too much living to do. But later he realises she's perfect."

However, since Mark's incredible late-night revelations, she has so far remained silent on social media.

The note was widely read as being directed at Mark Wright, her one-time boyfriend of a decade – and the man who married actress Michelle Keegan in a lavish €1.4m celebration last Sunday.

And the comment certainly attracted a lot of criticism – with many observers stating that the former reality TV star was merely looking for attention. "Even if this isn't about Mark, this is just terrible timing on your behalf," another follower also wrote.

Now Lauren Pope, a close friend of Ms Goodger's, has come out in her defence. "I think some people look too deeply into things like this.

"I always say Instagram is the life you want people to see, rather than the life you have," Ms Pope said.

"For all anyone else knows, she could be dating someone else and talking about them," she added while in conversation with Mail Online.

"She probably didn't even think that people could interpret it any other way."

The Towie cast member furthermore confirmed to the website that there certainly was no malice in her friend's online post.

Mark and Michelle are currently on honeymoon. Although it was widely rumoured that they would jet-off to Dubai, it seems the pair have instead opted to holiday in the Maldives.

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright said their "I do's" yesterday in a lavish ceremony attended by 120 of their family and friends.

Many details of the €1.4m wedding were kept under wraps on the day, with the official pictures set to be published by Hello! magazine as part of a €1.7m deal.

One piece of information that did do the rounds yesterday though was that Mark Wright's former co-star and ex Lauren Goodger was planning to crash the couple's big day.

According to The Sun, Mark and Michelle had put security at St Mary's Church and Hengrave Hall on "high alert" as they feared Lauren might show up to the ceremony or reception uninvited.

Mark and Lauren split in 2011 after ten years of dating. He began seeing Michelle in 2013 and proposed after just nine months, something we're sure Lauren was none too happy about.

"There were real worries about Lauren as she has been very vocal and is an unpredictable character," a source reportedly told the newspaper.

Lauren herself took to Twitter today to hit back at the rumours, saying there was no truth in them whatsoever.

Responding to a tweet by her former TOWIE cast member Cara Kilbey, Lauren wrote, "@carakilbey seen some crazy stories in my time but this one takes the lead "

Much as we want to give Lauren the benefit of the doubt, she did go a bit bunny-boiler on Friday night when she posted a cryptic message about relationships.

Whether the break-up was mutual or not, watching a former flame head up the aisle is never easy, so we're sure Lauren Goodger is feeling a mixture of emotions as childhood sweetheart Mark Wright prepares to say 'I do' to Coronation Street star, Michelle Keegan this weekend.

So when the 28-year-old reality star chose this particular weekend to post a cryptic message on her Instagram account, it's no surprise social media went into overdrive.

Given the timing of the post, legions of TOWIE fans assumed Lauren was throwing shade at Mark and Michelle just hours before their big day, with one writing: "Obviously trying to get some attention on somebody's wedding day! Good luck to the happy couple."

Others were prepared to give Lauren the benefit of the doubt, but questioned her inappropriate timing, saying: "Even if this isn't about Mark, this is just terrible timing on your behalf. Wouldn't get so much negativity if you posted this a month or so down the line…"

However, many other fans of the Essex beauty wasted no time jumping to the reality star's defence, posting: "You's are all so nasty!! Wow!! Jumping to assumptions and being down right mean. Who are you to judge? It's her IG, she's allowed to express herself and put up whatever she wants."

Some of the most tender hearted of TOWIE fans took to social media to praise Lauren for her honesty and slam critics who suggested she should have kept her thoughts to herself, writing: "Lauren is allowed to be hurt or show her sadness! She was with him for many years so no doubt it's gonna hurt her this weekend. You'd all swear you never lost love before! If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all!"

While fans of the show raged back and forth over the meaning of the original post, Lauren, who was apparently planning to text her ex before his big day, appeared to take the whole thing in her stride, tweeting: "Lol laughing at the what'sapps – think the worlds gone mad! There's so much more going on in life than a quote wow."

Choosing to keep schtum as to the meaning behind the post, Lauren took the high road and let the image speak for itself.

According to sources, Lauren Goodger is preparing to text Mark Wright the night before he marries Michelle Keegan.

A source has said:  "Nobody wants to see their first love marry someone else, but Lauren's adamant she wants to text Mark the night before his big day. It'll be a nice text, saying she wishes him a happy and healthy life with his new wife. She doesn't want Mark thinking she'll be in bed crying over him on the day."

We wouldn't blame you if you were Lauren, we would be too!

"She says it'll be the last time she'll ever contact him, and that she's already found closure in her heart and moved on," they said.

She is also said to be a "bag of emotions" because their ten year relationship ended up with him marrying a woman that isn't her.

They claimed she was looking for the help of Katie Price for her new career, and wants a boob reduction to look slimmer.

A source told Heat Magazine: "Lauren would love to tease Mark with sexy pictures of herself, and wants to knock Michelle off the top spot."

However, Lauren's rep has now responded and said: "She will not be texting Mark, her weight loss is her own personal goal that she has been trying to achieve for herself and no-one else and as for Katie Price well they’re friends and Lauren respects her and her career but won’t be enlisting her for support on hers!"

Meanwhile, excitement is building for Mark and Michelle's big day as TOWIE star Lydia leaked a picture of the invitations along with the caption: “Probably the most beautiful wedding invitation I have ever seen. So excited to celebrate this beautiful day for two special people.” 

She has since deleted the photo.

The gorgeous couple are set to wed this month. They got engaged in 2013.

Charlotte Crosby may be looking super-svelte these days after dropping three stone over the last year, but she's not about to let anyone else steal her thunder without a fight.

The Geordie Shore star had a few choice words for Lauren Goodger this week, after it was revealed Lauren had dropped almost a stone in the last three months.

TOWIE cast member Lauren was pictured on holidays recently in a bikini, clearly delighted with her new slimmed-down figure. The photos came just three months after the unflattering bikini pictures that prompted Lauren to shed the pounds in the first place.

However Charlotte revealed this week that she doesn't agree Lauren deserves the praise she's been getting in the press and online.

"Everyone's been saying 'Wow, she looks amazing'. I'm like, 'Well she doesn't look that good to me,'" she told new! magazine. "She looks pretty much the same."

Of course, Charlotte didn't mind offering up some weight loss and fitness advice to Lauren, saying, "Just keep at it. It's not something that happens overnight."

We can't imagine Lauren was all that grateful for Charlotte's "kind" words.

The TOWIE star has been busy sharing weight loss and workout updates for her followers of late, and said she feels "free and confident" after dropping some weight,

After Lauren Goodger's previous struggles with weight, we are delighted at how well she is currently doing.

Earlier this year, Lauren expressed how upset she was about unflattering pictures taken of her while she was on holiday in Egypt.

Lauren said: "I’m too upset and embarrassed to look at those photos of me in a bikini taken on holiday in Egypt. They make me feel humiliated – they’re horrendous!"

Now Lauren has taken the step to get her weight loss back on track. The former TOWIE star has been posting photos of herself to Instagram, and she is looking gorgeous.

She started a weight loss plan last month and has been hitting the gym a lot. She has become more toned and it is clear in her defined cheek bone selfies that the pounds are quickly dropping off of her.

Last week, she captioned one of her pictures: "I'm going bring you on my journey .. But one thing girls.. skinny doesn't mean FIT something you can't deny… I'd rather be fit and healthy any day".

Lauren posted the above photo to Instagram on Thursday before setting off on holiday. In her latest column Lauren wrote: "It'll be the first time I'll have been in a bikini since those pictures of me in Egypt earlier this year."

"I'm not nervous at all because I know I'm looking and feeling better than I did then. I'm looking forward to feeling the sun on my skin and getting a real tan," she added.

Former TOWIE star Cara Kilbey proved she's a grade A gal after she forgave her mate Lauren Goodger for driving over her foot this weekend and leaving her in a cast.

Taking to social media to highlight the result of Lauren's questionable driving skills, Cara posted a snap of herself sporting an enormous cast on her right foot and a cute pedi on her left one.

Deciding to take the high road and remain good humoured about the accident, the lovely Cara captioned the shot with a very tongue-in-cheek post, writing: "Suppose it's a day indoors then… Thank you @LaurenGoodger for running my foot over."

Determined to remedy the situation, the hapless Lauren apologised for the mishap, writing: "@carakilbey nothing can be normal with us- like I said shout me if you need any running about…Loves ya #sorry #imsillycow."

Cara, who has experienced incredibly sad times recently, seemed to take the whole incident on the chin and was flooded with well wishes from concerned fans and followers.

Expressing shock that Lauren actually landed her mate in hospital, one concerned fan wrote: "Did she actually?!"

Unfortunately yes, she did!
