Taylor Swift did the most AMAZING thing to mark her godson’s b-day
Taylor Swift could be criticised for many things, but a failing sense of generosity definitely is not one of them.
Having previously donated sizable sums to victims of flooding, literacy programmes for children and the arts, the singer has now chosen to assist a facility of great personal significance.
Yesterday, Hart of Dixie actress and good friend of Taylor Swift Jaime King took to Instagram to share an open letter in which she thanks her Grammy-winning BFF for a donation she made to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in honour of her son Leo Thames.
Along with a letter of acknowledgement from the hospital, the mother of two shared the story of how the Bad Blood songstress – who happens to be the godmother of Leo Thames – supported their family during the little boy's heart surgery.
She wrote: “Dear all – at 20 weeks our son was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries AKA TGA. He had a major heart surgery, that was terrifying, and traumatic for us as parents, for our family.”
“Only a few of our best friends knew. I felt that I had to protect him in fear of the unknown, fear he would not make it. We felt isolated & confused.”

Praising her friend’s spirit of “unconditional giving”, Jaime said: “Taylor Swift does so many selfless acts that go unnoticed because she does them silently.”
“As the Godmother of Leo Thames for his birthday she gave an incredible donation to the people that saved his life.”
“TS knew that by giving back in this way would be the greatest gift one could give to us, to Leo Thames and to all of those with congenital heart issues.”
The Pearl Harbour star continued by expressing her gratitude to Taylor and acknowledging how the singer has supported the family on an emotional level.
“She came to the ICU to comfort us, to hold and bond with him with such grace & strength. Our gift back is to share our story that anyone that is going through this is not alone.”
“Leo Thames is the strongest, healthiest boy because of this team. He will live a full and whole life & never have to look back. Thank you.”
