Surely… and we mean SURELY this must be it!

For five years we have been able to hear the sound of the world’s heart breaking when Leonardo di Caprio again and again fails to win the Oscar.

The only positive thing to come from these losses is the internet doing what it does best – hilarious memes.

However, with the first trailer for his new film The Revenant having been released, it looks as if the five-time nominee may well be on his way to achieving his (or at least our) dream.

This time, Leo has teamed up with Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu (Scorsese clearly wasn’t getting the job done), the mastermind behind this year’s multi-award-winning Birdman.

The film chronicles the real-life events of Hugh Glass, a fur trapper who is attacked by a bear before being left for dead by his partners. The film follows Glass’s journey across the wilderness to seek revenge on the men who robbed him.

With the combination of Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and the Oscar-winning cinematographer on Birdman, Emmanuel Lubezki, The Revenant is undoubtedly going to be a triumph.

The only question left is, will Leo be triumphant to?

Now these are two stars we would never have put together, but sometimes the world works in strange ways!

Rihanna attended a birthday party for designer NIkki Erwin at the Playboy Mansion over the weekend and she was seen getting seriously flirty with none other than… Leonardo Di Caprio! 

Bizarre or wha'?!

Reports have even emerged of the pair kissing on the dance floor in view of attendees like Paris Hilton, Tobey Maguire and Hilary Duff. One onlooker tweeted, "Just saw Leo and Rihanna makeout while ‘pour it up’ was playing. What is this life." TMZ also claimed that RiRi and Leo were seen "swapping spit" (ew).

However a source close to Rihanna has apparently denied any actual PDAs took place between the two stars – even though similar reports emerged after the pair ended up in the same club in St Barts on New Year's Eve. 

"She definitely did not make out with Leo and nothing went on," one insider told Us Weekly, while another said the pair engaged in some "innocent flirting at most".

So who's telling the truth?! Well whatever happened, it sounds like the pair had a pretty epic night after leaving the Playboy Mansion, with many revellers heading back to Leo's Los Angeles home for an afterparty. 

This isn't the first time Rihanna has been linked to an unlikely partner – in the past there have been rumours of hook-ups with Sisqo, Shia Le Beouf and an array of sports stars.

It’s all over for Leonardo Di Caprio and Toni Garrn. The couple had been dating for eighteen months, and while split rumours had surfaced previously, it seems this time it’s official.

News of their split comes only days after Leo was spotted leaving a nightclub in Florida with twenty women on his arm. Yes, twenty. So perhaps things have been over for a while; if not, then we reckon this may have been what sent Toni over the edge!

Toni and Leo have been very tight-lipped about their relationship and never made an official public appearance together. 

Leo was previously in a long-term relationship with supermodel Gisele, but they broke up in 2005 after five years together.

Model Toni Garrn will be painting her body to support her country’s team in the World Cup.

The 21-year-old model who hails from Germany has said that she will paint the German flag onto her body to show her patriotism to her country. Talking to the German edition of Grazia, the model, who is currently dating Leonardo Di Caprio, said: “I’m totally into body paint. Every year at Coachella I’m covered in paint, so I’ll obviously be drawing on the German flag. Maybe not on my face – but it’s fine anywhere else!”

While the blonde beauty now lives in New York she will always support her home town. Talking about who she will support, Toni said: “Of course I’m cheering for Germany. I try to watch as many games as possible. There are loads of beer gardens in New York. My brother’s in town at the moment, he’ll be dragging me along to watch. It’ll be fun!”

Painting her body may be welcome distraction from the fact that Leo enjoyed the World Cup opening ceremony without her and instead handpicked 50 female guests to party with… hmmm.

This has to be the most ridiculous thing we’ve heard today!

It has been reported that Jamie Dornan is set to leave the Fifty Shades of Grey movie franchise, and be replaced by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.

Say. What?!

Jamie is said to be leaving the franchise following this movie and will be replaced for the second movie, Fifty Shades Darker.

Jamie joked in an interview recently that he hoped to land a job in which he wouldn’t have to, “tie women to beds.”

Other actors pitched to play the role are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Christian Bale.

We wonder what Kate Winslet’s hubby would have to say about her recent declaration that Leonardo DiCaprio is the love of her life.

Despite having walked down the aisle three times before, the actress said she will always have a special place in her heart for Leo.

Kate first met the heartthrob in 1997 when they starred together as fated lovers Rose and Jack in Titanic and were reunited as husband and wife for Revolutionary Road in 2008.

The actress’ current spouse Ned Rocknroll needn’t panic just yet as there has never been any romance between Kate and Leo.

When asked who she would choose between the leading man in her new movie Divergent Theo James’ character Four or Leo’s Jack, Kate didn’t even need to think about it.

“Leo is my love of my life, how could you possibly even ask me that question!” she said. “If I said Theo over Leo, he would never let me stay the night at his house ever again. And we can’t have that because that’s where I stay.”

Kate Winslet is to be honoured with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Titanic actor will become the 2, 520th star to be honoured with a star.

Titanic director James Cameron and Kathy Bates, who also stars in the film, will be by her side for the big day.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies spoke about Kate’s honour saying: “We are so happy that Kate Winslet will be here on our famous Boulevard of Dreams receiving her well-deserved star … we’ve seen Kate shine in her roles and fans around the world have been anxiously waiting for this special day to come.”

All we want to know is, will Leo be there? Do it for Rose, Jack!

Not that he needs reminding, but poor Leonardo Di Caprio has been up for five Academy Awards but has never won an Oscar.

However, the Wolf of Wall Street star still manages to have a laugh about it. While he was attending the Academy Award’s annual luncheon for nominees (annual luncheon, excuse me), The Great Gatsby actor took out a small white card for a journalist, pointed at a part that said ‘five nominations, zero wins’ and said “Zip!”.

He added: “It’s quite interesting. People think I feel I’m overdue for something. Anyone wants to be accepted by their peers, but the truth is every year is unique and everyone is just going to vote for who they think is worthy.”

The actor, who is up against Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthew McConaughey this year, went on to say: “I’ve had the same mentality ever since I got my first movie. I got my foot in this door and I am going to continue to jam it in there.”

Aw, poor Leo – fingers crossed for this year.

Poor Leonardo DiCaprio – he mispronounces one movie title at the Golden Globes and the next thing his mistake is trending on Twitter.

As he was announcing the winner of the Best Actress award (it was Cate Blanchett btw), he mispronounced Philomena as ‘Philomania’.

Not a huge deal, you would think, and it exploded with the likes of Ashley Tisdale and Ellen now tweeting that they have ‘philomania’.

Hopefully he sees the bright side of the situation – if word is spreading, maybe more people will see the movie and see Philomena’s true story. Silver linings and all that.

Leonardo Di Caprio has revealed that he was nearly attacked by a great white shark during an underwater expedition in 2006.

The incident occurred when Di Caprio was filming for the movie Blood Diamond in Cape Town, South Africa.

Revealing all to Ellen De Generes, Leo said, “I had a huge fear of sharks and when I did Blood Diamond in 2006 I actually got stuck in a cage with a great white, which was awesome”.

The actor, who is currently promoting the highly anticipated The Wolf of Wall Street, explained just how he survived the ordeal; “It went into the cage with me and half of its body was in and out. And I flattened down at the bottom and it was this far away and it chomped a few times. But I survived it.”
