There’s still some time before any major music festivals kick off and we’re WEEKS away from our summer holidays, but instead of dropping to our knees and howling in desperation, we got busy trying to figure out how to make the most of our upcoming weekends.

And as a right old savvy bunch here at SHEmazing! HQ, we decided to check out what Tayto Park has to offer in the coming days, and lads we are PUMPED.

Kicking off this Saturday and running until June 4th, the good folk behind Tayto Park are encouraging us to get to grips with nature and relive our childhood as part of their Love Your Zoo campaign.

And with a whole host of incredible activities including Animal Stampedes, Owl Encounters and Dinosaurs Alive, we definitely aren't missing out on this one!

Oh, and if you plan to treat the younger members of the family to a day out, they’ll go free as long as they’re dressed as their favourite animal. Not too shabby, right?!

It’s no secret that there comes a time when we start noticing similarities between ourselves and our pooches.

Whether it’s facial expressions, personality traits or our desire to have our tummies tickled, us humans and our animals end up having A LOT in common, but these similarities actually start earlier than you might think.

Like all of us, each and every dog has their own unique personality and like all of us, they need certain stimuli in order to be the best they can be.

We caught up with Kelly Donegan and her adorable pooch, Tyson, who filled us in on Pedigree Ireland’s 'Feed Their Big Personality' campaign and revealed why we’re more like our doggies than we think.

Getting our sweat on

We all feel much better when we get our sweat on on a regular basis, and it’s absolutely no different for our dogs.

Exercise helps to elevate your dog’s mood and keeps them feeling well-balanced and ready to take on anything – just like us!

Although we wish someone spelling out G-Y-M to us would have the same effect as us spelling out W-A-L-K to them. Sigh.

Getting our eats on

A weekend getting our munch on means a guilt-ridden and sluggish Monday – something our pets are not immune to.

Ensuring that your dog gets all the nutrients their body requires by researching their breed is absolutely vital if you want to see your dog at their very best.

From a strong immune system to easier digestion, keeping your dog on the nutritional straight and narrow is as important as keeping yourself on it.

Getting our cry on

Like people, dogs endure ups and downs with their moods, but as its owner it’s up to you to learn about their traits so you can properly assess their needs.

Our friends and other halves know the difference between our need for chocolate and our need for a cry, and our dogs expect that of us too.

As Kelly reminded us: “There’s no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner” so as it’s momma you need to be able to identify its needs when its mood starts to take a turn.

If you’ve found ourselves channelling your inner sulky teen on more than one occasion when it comes to your social life, you’re not alone.

Moaning that there’s nothing to dooo and nowhere to gooo is more common than we’d like to admit here at SHEmazing! HQ, so we are absolutely PUMPED that Dublin will soon be hosting an event which is literally too cool for words.

Yes that’s right ladies, we’re about to get our very own multisensory ice experience!

The 7UP Mojito Free RefreshMINT Experience, which is kicking off on Thursday May 26th and running until Monday June 6th, is the perfect way to shake up your social life this summer.

And here are just five reasons why we are all OVER it.

1.  The entrance

It wouldn’t matter if Liam Hemsworth himself was standing on the other side of it, we’d prefer to open a fridge door over a front door any day, and it looks like  these lads seem to know it.

Kicking off the event by pushing through a lone fridge door on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay has got to be the slickest way to start, right?!

2. The dress code

People tend to judge us when we bumble around indoors draped in a blanket while clutching a hot water bottle, but now we’ve got the actual go-ahead!

The good folk behind 7UP Mojito Free will be kitting us out in cosy, frost-fighting attire, so we’ll be channelling the lads from East 17 in no time.

3. The beverage

Put it down to our Irish Mammies if you want, but there are very few amongst us who don’t have soft spot for 7UP.

From getting us through every childhood illness to kickstarting our summer with their new Mojito Free range, these lads have had our back from day one.

4. The selfie

Look girls, we’re going to be honest here, we’re permanently on the hunt for an Insta-selfie which suggests we do more than just faceplant every weekend, and this could definitely be it.

Posing in your winter get-up while clutching a chilled tumbler is not what you’d expect of a June upload, right?! SORTED!

5. The experience

How often do we actually get a chance to go on an urban adventure which manages to involve the best things about winter and summer?!

Embracing an experience which manages to chill AND thrill is exactly what we need!

Sweet and sour, hot and cold, salty and sweet; there’s something about contrasting combinations that we all just love, right?

We can’t quite explain it, but they totally WORK, and we generally can’t get enough.

Honing in on this like absolute pros is the Dunboyne Castle Hotel in Meath who are all about soothing your calmed nerves in their stunning Seoid Spa and Thermal Suite before sending them into the stratosphere with a visit to Tayto Park.

That’s right, ladies, it’s now possible to get your chill AND thrill on in the same weekend with the Tayto Park Packages at the Dunboyne Castle Hotel, and we are PUMPED!

Located just 18km outside Dublin city centre, this is the perfect spot for when you just can’t decide whether a flake-fest or a fear-fest is on the agenda.

Where do we sign?!

Most of us have endured the horror of having a pet go missing, but few of us consider our pet's feelings when we up and leave for days, weeks or even months at a time.

As long as they're being cared for by a friend or family member, they'll be fine, right? They probably won't even NOTICE I'm gone, right?

Wrong. They'll miss you, pine for you, and when they get the tiniest hint you're back, they'll make like Sandy in the below video and tear the house apart in an effort to find you.

After seven months away from her beloved dog, Maria Macioia uploaded footage of the moment the pair were finally reunited, and it is our new EVERYTHING.

The clip, which has clocked up thousands of hits since its upload at the beginning of the week, was accompanied by a short message: "So I returned home to Scotland this morning for a week…I was reunited with my best friend after 7 months."

"Been through thick and thin with this boy. And sorry I'm ugly when I cry haha," Maria wrote.

Ugly crying is all we know when it comes to stuff like this.

If we had our way, we’d get a chauffeur-driven limousine to work every damn day, but until those Prize Bonds Nana gave us come through, we’re pretty sure there’s going to be a whole lot of early morning commutes and Leap Card panic in our future.

And when we were recently forced to change our perfectly-honed routine and seek alternative modes of transport during last month's Luas strikes, it’s safe to say we all went into full meltdown and couldn't complain enough.

We yearned for the soft purr of the Luas engine and we positively wept for the reassuring sound of the on-tram announcements, but that, ladies, is because we all have VERY short memories.

As any regular Luas user knows, there are some things about riding that rail which are LESS than pleasant.

And here, friends, are just ten.

1. Tag-on panic

You could be clutching your Leap Card with the best intentions in the world, and you might still find yourself boarding the tram without having tagged-on.

“I didn’t…did I? I did…I forgot! They will NEVER believe me!”

2. Manspreading

That lad who thinks God has gifted him with such a serious package, he can’t HELP but take up a double seat while you’re left squeezing half a bum cheek onto the edge.

“Oh, don’t mind me. You OBVIOUSLY need the space.”

3. Random checks

The first flash of an orange high-vis, and you’re reaching for your parachute.

“Why do I always feel so guilty?! Play it COOL.”

4. More manspreading

Desperately pushing your knee against his in an attempt to close his legs has got to be the least glamorous way to spend a morning.

“I swear, I won’t rest until he realises what an ASS he is.”

5. The low-balance beep

You KNOW you topped up only last week, so why is this machine lying to your face with its judgemental low-balance beep?

“Hand on heart, I’ve been the victim of a crime here.”

6. The scary flip seats

Why must they flip up so violently when you finally stand up?

“If I’m not careful that’ll take the arse off me next time.”

7. Further manspreading

It can seem like a flash mob is slowly getting underway across the tram because when one dude supposedly blessed in the pants department starts, the rest suddenly join in.

“I hope all their pants split before work.”

8. The overhead safety strap

If you’ve made the decision to rock a hunbun AND a pair of headphones, you’re just looking for trouble.

“Am I actually caught in this thing? I am…amn’t I?”

9Tag-off panic

If you break your stride for even a second while tagging-off, you’re officially the LEAST popular person in Dublin.

“I timed it wrong! Oh God, I’m sorry!”

10. Keeping pace with a manspreader

Your on-tram knee-struggle with this stranger wasn't supposed to extend further than your Luas journey, but now you're both waiting at the same traffic lights together.

"Yeah, keep looking. I'd do it all over again."

If you're a dog-owner, then you might just want to relocate to the States, you know, like right now.

In a move which has captured the hearts of millions in Seattle, a business has been established which treats doggies just like their beloved humans.

Catering to man's best friend and their adoring owners, The Seattle Barkery provide all the city's canines with treats from a food truck while they're out and about, and just generally doing their thang, you know?

Hitting up doggy-friendly areas around the city, the food truck sells bacon cupcakes, peanut butter and pumpkin pretzels, beefy carrot bagels, peanut butter banana biscuits, special ice cream sundaes in edible bowls and…wait for it…pooch-friendly birthday cakes!

Oh, and before you think the dogs get to tuck in while their humans starve, the Seattle Barkery also provide people-friendly snacks too!

They have literally thought of everything, right?!

Another day, another phising scam, right?

It seems we hear about these things so often that it's easy to become desensitised to the issue, but it's important to stay on top of these things if you want to keep your personal details…well…personal!

Apple have this week issued a warning to customers to be aware of a spam message which is currently doing the rounds, and requests recipients to click on a particular link.

"Your Apple ID is due to expire today. Prevent this by confirming your Apple ID at http://appleexpired.co.uk – Apple Inc," it reads.

As always, you are advised to avoid clicking on the link, which requests a user's iCloud username and password, and then flag the spam message in order to avoid any potential stress.

Crisis averted!

If you're still reeling from this weekend's bizarre combination of sunshine and hailstones, then you'll be only delira to know that those days are now behind you.

According to Met Éireann, things are about to get a lot brighter around here, with the arrival of prolonged dry and sunny spells this week.

With temperatures expected to reach 16 degrees in some places, it looks like we may finally be able to ditch our damn brollies and dust off those our shades of ours.

The forecaster has made ALL our Mondays by predicting a number of dry and sunny days which…wait for it… may even last into next weekend.

Periods are a fact of life. Period.

And just because we’ve been advised how to handle them, that doesn’t mean their surprise appearances or late shows are any less stressful.

From waiting on one to missing another, Aunt Flo really knows how to keep us gals on our toes – something which women’s health site, HelloFlo, captures perfectly in their latest YouTube offering.

Who knew that period of yours was the perfect mix of sympathy, sass and straight-talk?!
