Saoirse Ronan is our red carpet queen. The Little Women actress always manages to stand out in a unique and classy way when it comes to her style.

She wowed us at the 2018 Oscars in a beautiful pastel pink Calvin Klein by Appointment dress and left us speechless when she arrived at this year’s Met Gala in that sequin Gucci gown.

The Brooklyn actress debuted one of her best looks at last night’s Paris premiere of Little Women.

The 25-year-old wore a lace gown by Galvan London for the premiere and we’re just obsessed with it.

Saoirse’s red and lilac coloured dress featured a floral print, high neck and capped sleeves.

The Oscar nominee opted for a bold makeup look that complimented her stunning dress. The red lip and lilac eyeshadow go perfectly together, but we can’t help but feel like we’d look like we escaped the circus if we even attempted the look.

Saoirse was joined by her Little Women co-stars Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Louis Garrel and director Greta Gerwig at the premiere.

The actress, who stars as Jo March, in Little Women has received high praise for her portrayal as the protagonist in the beloved Louisa May Alcott story.

Saoirse recently received a Best Actress nomination for the 2020 Golden Globes and there have also been whispers of an Oscar nod for the Irish star and rightly so. The actress was made to play Jo March.

One of our favourite films of all time is being remade, and the cast could not be more perfect!

We all watched the 1994 version of Little Women, starring Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Susan Sarandon and Kirsten Dunst. It was one of those films we watched to get out of reading the book for school, but we ended up actually loving it.

Winona stole our hearts as the spirited Jo, who strained for independence and leaned on her sisters when life got tough. The movie adaptation was a heartwarming tale of sisterhood, romance, war, identity, and family.

Then last year, BBC’s mini-series took a new perspective on Louisa May Alcott’s classic. Each actor adhered to the book’s interpretation of them: Maya Hawke, playing Jo, strived to illuminate her character’s imperfections, Willa Fitzgerald showed Meg’s journey was one of self acceptance, and Annes Elwy embodied Beth’s social anxiety in a real and moving depiction.

Now, rumours of a modern interpretation of Little Women are spreading, and the word is that it will begin filming next month, according to Variety.

Allegedly, Emma Watson has been approached by Sony for a role, and although it is unknown which March sister she will play, her shorter hair and fiery Hermione attitude suggest she would be the perfect Jo. However, her poised and determined role of Belle as a romantic could suggest she would make an excellent Meg.

The Harry Potter star is said to be replacing Emma Stone, who was originally asked to be part of the film but had to turn the offer down due to filming clashes with Fox Searchlight film The Favourite.

The upcoming drama will be directed by Lady Bird’s Greta Gerwig. It will also star Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, and Florence Pugh.

As of now, the film’s release date is sometime next year, and we cannot wait to see it!

Stay tuned for an upcoming trailer as more of the classic movie’s details are confirmed.

Lady Bird stars Saoirse Ronan and Timotheé Chamalet will join forces again for a remake of one of the best novels.

The duo are set to star in Greta Gerwig's adaption of the beloved Louisa May Alcott book Little Women.

Variety reported that Meryl Streep, Emma Stone Florence Pugh will also join the Lady Bird actors in the remake.

Little Women follows the lives of the March sisters -Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy- and their mum during the Civil War. Their father is away at war and the family face many difficult times, but their sisterly bond helps them get through the highs and lows of teenage life.

The four sisters travel down different paths and soon realise that growing up isn’t as easy as they once thought it would be.

Saoirse Ronan recently gushed about her love for coming-of-age movies, so this will be the perfect fit for her.

She told RTÉ Entertainment about her love of movies similar to The Breakfast Club and Lady Bird.

“I loved things like Rebel Without a Cause and Dirty Dancing. Lots of films that, I suppose, were about a young person figuring out who they were in the world. That seemed to be what I was really drawn to,” Saoirse expressed.

There’s no doubt in our minds that Gerwig’s adaption of Little Women will win the hearts of fans across the globe, especially with such an impressive cast.

We cannot wait to hear more about it!

Any Little Women fans desperately in need of a fresh adaptation of their favourite sisters might just be in luck.

According to Deadline, the CW network (home of The Vampire Diaries and formerly Gossip Girl) are taking on the literary success in their latest script buy for next year’s development season.

Up and coming series writer Alexis Jolly is said to have penned the script while NCIS actor Micheal Weatherly is also reported to be involved in developing the series.

It is described as “a hyper-stylized, gritty adaptation of the 1868 novel by Louisa May Alcott, in which disparate half-sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy band together in order to survive the dystopic streets of Philadelphia and unravel a conspiracy.”

Apparently the sisters must also try and “not kill each other in the process” of uncovering the great big conspiracy.

We think this will certainly get some serious viewer attention when the project goes ahead.

In the past Little Women has been adapted numerous times for the screen. In 1994, the film adaptation staring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Kirsten Dunst and Christian Bale was called the “loveliest” version ever to make to our screens.

As recently as last year American network ABC intended to develop a modern-day take on Little Women. Clearly the much loved classic is still worthy of some Hollywood attention then.

It might be awhile before this latest adaptation hits our screens but we’re sure there is going to be plenty of people tuning in. We know we’re all pretty excited about it.
