London was awash with colour and love last weekend as crowds took to the streets of the capital city to celebrate the annual Pride festival.

While onlookers enjoyed all the sights and sounds the parade had to offer, one couple used the setting as the background for one of the most special moments of their lives.

In a video that has since gone viral, we see a woman propose to her girlfriend, who just so happens to be an on-duty police officer – and it's by far the sweetest thing you'll see this week.

Of course, she said yes, and their engagement was met with cheers of joy from the crowd.

The women remain unnamed, however the British Transport Police did share footage of the special moment on Twitter.

According to The Sun, the pair have been together for five years and live together in London.

Shortly after the footage was posted online, the couple were flooded with congratulations from members of the public and other police forces alike.

We can't help but be reminded of a similar proposal which took place at last year's London Pride parade when police officer,  Phil Adlem, momentarily stopped marching in order proposed to his unsuspecting boyfriend who was watching from the side.

Congratulation all around!

Axl Rose and Tom Jones might be in a bit of trouble after a party they hosted in London.

The performers were partying at the Chiltern Firehouse in the city, which officially closes at 3am, but it seems Axl and Tom didn't stick to that deadline.

Two council officers were called at 4.30am to shut down the party, yet the singers didn't listen and kept going for another hour and a half.

After further complaints, the officials returned and waited until everyone left the venue at 6am.

According to The Sun, Axl threw the get-together and many celebs were in attendance, including Kate Moss' ex-husband, Jamie Hince.

A source told the publication: "The music was pumping. There was screaming, with boozy celebs cheering the fight from Las Vegas, which didn't start until 4.20am UK time."

A post shared by Los Kingdom (@loskingdom) on

"Axl was rooting for the US fighter and wasn't happy about noise complaints. The bar manager tried to argue it was a private party.

"The Westminster council officials were made to wait outside by security. Management eventually turned the music off but the shouting continued."

It seems like everyone had a ball, so!

Some people drag themselves to the gym because… you know… health and stuff.

Others enjoy the gym, but know that a sesh is just around the corner and missing one class won't signal the end of the world.

And then there are the people who will find any way to shoehorn more exercise into their daily life.

Luckily for those people, a fitness studio in Britain's capital city has announced plans to transform a bus into a… wait for it… mobile spinning studio.

The good folk behind 1Rebel have explained that they intend for the bus to travel from four pick-up points across London, ending at the fitness company's studio.

The morning sessions, which will last 45 minutes and take place behind the tinted windows of the bus, are set to launch at the end of the summer pending Government approval.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, founder James Balfour explained the motivation behind the concept, saying "It is an absolute no-brainer for us that we can create more efficiency in people’s routines by transforming their commute."

"For those who want the components of a class, but perhaps don’t have the time to commit during the day, this provides a great solution for them to maximise time they would otherwise be spending just travelling to work."

Addressing safety concerns with CNBC, James said: "We are working with bus companies and the government to establish all health and safety conditions,"

"As this is such an innovative idea there are no established norms but due to the high levels of interest this is something that all our partners are focused on," he stressed.

Now cynical and all as we might be, would it not just be simpler to cycle to work and save the cash?

Update: London Fire commissioner reports "a number of fatalities" but can't say how many.

Earlier: 30 people have been admitted to five hospitals around London following a huge blaze which engulfed a block of flats in the west of the city last night.

Many eye-witnesses told how people residing on the upper floors of Grenfell Tower had been trapped in their homes.

The first call to London Fire Brigade came at 12:45am on Wednesday morning.

Around 200 firefighters and 40 engines were deployed to the scene as rescue workers tried to evacuate the 24-story building in North Kensington.

The fire burned from the second to the top floor, and the cause of the blaze is not yet known.

In the early hours of this morning, London Fire Brigade said around 30 flats near the scene had been evacuated and a cordon was in place.

London mayor Sadiq Khan has said the fire has been declared a "major incident".

According to The Guardian, a resident group had repeatedly warned of a fire risk at the building and claimed that a major fire was narrowly averted after a power fault in 2013.

The Metropolitan Police have set up an emergency number for anyone who is concerned about a friend or family member who might have been affected by the incident.

Following the attack on London Bridge earlier this month, a group of Muslims have been handing out roses with messages of love and peace at the scene of the incident.

Eight people were killed and 48 injured after three attackers mowed down crowds and stabbed passersby.

The 1000 Roses London initiative was organised by a group of London-based Muslims in an effort to spread “love, solidarity and appreciation”, in the aftermath of the attack on England's capital city.

Their message said: “This is the place, the time, the moment to take the pen and write narratives of love and solidarity – not of hate and division.

“We won’t let London Bridge fall down nor any bridge upon which the communities of this great city and nation are built.”

The campaign initially set out to hand out just 1,000 roses, however, due to the overwhelming response, both online and from the public, that number was then tripled to 3,000.

Meanwhile, the British Red Cross launched an initiative to encourage people to visit bars and restaurants in the London Bridge area on Saturday night – exactly one week after the attack.

A total of seven men are being held in custody under terror laws following the incident on June 3.

However, it has now been made public that all 12 individuals – seven men and five women – have been released without charge.

According to numerous reports, the individuals were released as Scotland Yard named two of the men responsible for the death of seven people on London Bridge and Borough Market.

Khuram Shazad Butt, a 27-year-old British citizen born in Pakistan, and Rachid Redouane, who claimed to be Moroccan-Libyan, were named as attackers last night while the third individual has yet to be named.

All three attackers were shot dead at the scene.

48 people were injured during the latest terror attack to befall Britain.

The BBC has reported that up to seven people have been killed in a terror incident in London last night.

Shortly after 10pm, a white van hit pedestrians on London Bridge, which was followed by three man embarking from the vehicle and stabbing people in nearby Borough Market.

A police officer was stabbed while trying to help, and it has been reported that the attackers were wearing fake bomb vests at the time.

It is the third terror attack in the UK in three months following the car and knife attack in Westminster in March, which left five people dead, and the Manchester bombing less than two weeks ago, in which 22 people were killed.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said it was "a deliberate and cowardly attack on innocent Londoners."

The injured, some of the in a critical condition, are being treated at five hospitals around the city.

Arthur Collins, the boyfriend of TOWIE's Ferne McCann, is wanted for questioning over an acid attack at a London nightclub.

Two men remain in a serious but stable condition at a special burns unit in London after the attack in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police believe an argument kicked off between two groups in the club, which ended with a male suspect spraying an acidic substance on two intended victims.

Among those injured was Australian model, Isobella Fraser, 22, who was burnt down her arm and back when the acidic liquid burnt through her dress.

Ex-Premier League footballer Jamie O'Hara's cousin was also in the nightclub when the attack took place.

He described the it as "sick" after seeing his cousin, Sadie's face and head covered in blisters.

He tweeted pictures of her burns, saying, "Sick that my cousin got burnt from this acid attach in Hackney, innocent people get injured for the sick act of violence."

Ferne has urged her boyfriend to come forward and "co-operate fully" with the police.

A rep for the star said: "Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him.

"Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries.

"She was not with Arthur on Sunday night, was not at Mangle and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.

"As much as anybody she wants to know that truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately."

The venue was packed with about 600 people before the attack happened at 1am on Monday, at the tail end of the Easter Bank holiday. Some 600 party-goers were evacuated when emergency services arrived.

Imagine going about your daily journey to work and then John Legend pops up at the train station!

Well, that's what happened to London commuters this morning.

The dad-of-one cheekily tweeted that he was arriving at London's St Pancras Station, and asked, "Do they still have that piano there?"

After landing at the station, he then proceeded to perform a 10-minute set of some of his greatest tracks, which included All of Me and Ordinary People.

And needless to say, everyone rightly lost their sh*t:
