London

Posting a stunning snap to her Instagram account, it's clear that X Factor's Cheryl Fernandez Versini had picked an incredible location for judges' houses this year.

Admitting that she was a lucky girl, she shared a photograph from Rome, Italy, which showed the breathtaking lakeside view from her bedroom.

Unsurprisingly, it was an image which quickly garnered more than 35,000 likes.

"Oh wow… what I would give to be sat there for a couple of hours… amazing image x," one fan said in response.

"Wow such An amazing view," said another, while a third added: "What a beautiful view!! You are one lucky girl."

The 32-year-old singer was in the Eternal City for a whistle-stop, two-night stay. There, she was faced with the task of whittling down the groups from a total of six to just three.

And rather than hire a private jet to transport her and her entourage, Ms Fernandez Versini was happy to catch a BA flight from London there and back, although she did enjoy a helicopter transfer to the luxurious villa on arrival in Rome.

Still, her return journey was not entirely without incident: she said that she was surrounded by coughing and sneezing sick passengers. "Dear work," she added in an Instagram picture, "I think I'm getting sick I may need a week off."

Luckily, however, Cheryl had recovered sufficiently to make BFF and fellow Girls Aloud songstress Nicola Roberts's 30th birthday bash.

Held in London's swish Hotel Chantelle in Mayfair, the woman-of-hour herself looked stunning in a full-length black dress with thigh-high slit and a deep-V neckline.

Happy 30th to this gorgeous lady @lilcola thanks for a super fun night

Also in attendance was Kimberley Walsh, though noticeably absent were Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle.

The Roman episode of judges' houses will be aired later this month on The X Factor. Cheryl was accompanied on the trip by guest judge, Jess Glynne.

Simon Cowell, meanwhile, was in France for the same segment, while Rita Ora jetted to LA. Due to additional work commitments, Rick Grimshaw remained in England.

Next week's game versus France will now determine where Ireland finish in Pool D: we have a guaranteed place in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals following our win over Italy.

This evening's game was rarely pretty, but it was ultimately job done by Joe Schmidt's men – they won by 16 points to 9 at London's Olympic Stadium.

Keith Earls scored the only try of the game on the 19th-minute.

Ireland remain top of the table in their group – ahead of second-placed France on points difference.

The Boys In Green had been expected to win comfortably, but faced an Azzuri squad in dramatically improved form. Indeed, the Italians arguably played their best rugby in a long time.

Ireland faced more than one hairy moment, and in the end Johnny Sexton was relieved to kick the ball into touch to sound the final whistle.

And while he'll have plenty to address before next-week's decider, Joe Schmidt will at least be content to come through today's contest without any serious injury worries.

Next Sunday, the team return to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff – where they opened their World Cup campaign with a win over Canada on September 18 – in the final game of the Pool D group stages.

Now, we've all had our fair share of bad dates, but this just takes it to a new level!

A London woman was asked out on a second date by text, but she reclined as she thought they weren't a good match – but the response she recieved back was astonishing.

The man actually had the cheek to ask her to pay back the £4.50 (€6) that he spent on a drink he bought her.

The text conversation between the woman, a Londoner in her mid 30s who chooses to not be named, and the man, took place after a 45-minute date earlier this year.

The conversations shows her telling the date that she is not interested in a second encounter and wishing him the best of luck.

But he had different ideas.

Despite her very kind rejection, the date is not ready to give up just yet, offering to cook her dinner.

She replies: 'Very kind of you but as I said, I don't think we are right for each other, so would not want to waste your time.'

Not one to take rejection lightly, the lad then requests she pay for the drink he so kindly bought her on their date.

As for the next day, he's all about the business:

Talk about a bad date!

Let's face it – she's pretty much perfect.

After all, Victoria Beckham has made her own millions, is a style icon, has a perfect family and an amazing career – not to mention that gorgeous husband she's been married to for more than a decade-and-a-half.

Which is why we did a double-take when we spotted the designer with a large, mysteriously wet patch around her groin area.

Forming a perfectly oval stain, it certainly seemed like the 41-year-old didn't quite make it to the bathroom on time.

However, not least for someone so very prim and proper (she wasn't called Posh Spice for nothing) we're sure the dark area is the result of a spilled drink – something which was perhaps then exaggerated by the waiting photogs' camera flashes.

Victoria and David were socialising at her central London flagship outlet – hosting a swish party to mark the one-year anniversary of the store's launch.

A-list invitees included the likes of Ellie Goulding, Naomi Campbell, Jade Jagger and Noel Gallagher.

Thank u to all who helped celebrate the #VBDoverSt first anniversary! x vb @HaigClub #LFW

Clearly in the mood to celebrate, the Beckhams left at 2.40am, with Ms Beckham taking a bit of a tumble on the steps outside the Dover St boutique.

Luckily, David was on-hand to catch her – though we hope she's since had the chance to get those stained trousers dry-cleaned.

OK, so we know we saw her outside the Lindo Wing at St Mary's maternity hospital in London back in May.

AND then we were treated to another appearance at Princess Charlotte's christening in July.

But it's only now that we feel that royal lovely Princess Kate is well and truly back in our lives: she made a charity solo appearance this afternoon, visiting a centre that is involved in mental healthcare for children and young people in north London.

Understandably – all eyes were on what she was wearing: and here at SHEmazing! Towers we were particularly taken aback to spot a whole load of toned Duchess leg on display.

Kate, who is celebrated for her demure style (topless snaps taken with a long lens in France aside), evidently decided to throw caution to the wind: a stiff breeze insured that more than once the hem of her €1,750 Ralph Lauren shirt-dress flew into the air.

Still, she remained all-smiles for the entirety of the royal engagement, and certainly the mother-of-two looks pretty incredible considering Charlotte only arrived into the world four-and-a-half months ago.

Earlier this week, the 33-year-old debuted her new hair style – complete with long fringe – while on an outing with Prince William in Scotland.

The look divided opinion in the aftermath, but it's clear that Ms Middleton is eager to return to public life with a bang: not only does she have brand-new tresses, but today she also shunned her wardrobe of British labels for a US designer.

Late last year it was reported in InStyle that the mother-of-two had hired Natasha Archer, her former personal assistant, to style her.

According to their source: "Natasha shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for her to try on. She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks.

"The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes."

New hair; new clothes – A LOT more leg, could this be a more sassy queen-in-waiting that we’re about to witness?

Let's hope so!

If you thought the shortage of housing in Dublin was a nightmare, then you should maybe hear about the issue London is dealing with.

In Dublin, plenty of the city’s finest residences are occupied by the super wealthy who have come to study here. London also has a history of oligarchs and sheiks snapping up some of the finest real estate on the market.

Estate agents EJ Harris have new data with shows that super-rich students are filling up some of the city’s finest rental spaces.

Rent in some of the most sought after addresses, Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Kensington, can cost up to €2,000 a week.

The estate agents have noted that "smoking tends to be the only common vice" amongst the students. Otherwise they are almost the perfect tenants."They tend to be quiet, hard working and tidy.”

This is certainly a far cry from what we normally think of when someone says 'student accomodation'.

How many of your friends floor to ceiling windows in their college houses?

Do you think any of these students spend their winter nights huddled around the one working radiator? We didn't think so either.

Harnaam Kaur is still just 24 – but she’s already weathered her fair share of personal storms.

For one, and much to her initial distress, she started growing facial hair from the age of 11.

The Berkshire-native was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition that causes the body to produce more male hormones than usual.

In response, she spent thousands on treatments and procedures to get rid of the beard-like growth.

“For many years, I removed my facial hair, and it was emotionally and physically painful.

“I remember having my face waxed and threaded, and it was horrible. It burned because my skin was so soft and tender at that age,” she told Women’s Health.

“My skin would rip, and I used to bleed. I used to wax two to three times a week, but, like with arm or leg hair, the hair on my face would still come back.”

She added: “I really wanted to get laser treatments done, but I was too young at the time.

“I even started bleaching my hair at one point to make it lighter and less noticeable, but you could still see it, especially when I was out in the sun.”

Sadly, as a result, she suffered at the hands of bullies: things got so bad that at one stage she considered ending her life.

As Harnaam has also told Rock ‘N’ Roll Bride: “At the age of 16 I hit my biggest low. I had been suicidal all year due to immense bullying from school and people in society.”

However, one day she recalls thinking: “Why don’t you try living with your facial hair? Why don’t you try embracing it and actually growing it out and see how you feel?”

So she stopped listening to the bullies and instead decided: “I’m just going to live how I want to live.”

In the spring, Ms Kaur’s photo was included in a major London exhibition celebrating the world's best facial hair and she was also invited to appear on ITV's This Morning.

Today, she is says she is a “brave, confident woman who isn't afraid to break society's norms”.

Based in London, she considers herself a “body-confidence activist”.

Harnaam explains that a lot of women with PCOS now reach out to her to talk about their struggles, thank her, or tell her her story has given them strength or inspired them.

“I think the comments that have really stood with me the most are the ones where people say things like, ‘I want my daughter to be as strong as you,’ or ‘I’ve started to love myself after hearing your story’.”

It's notoriously a time to really let your hair down surrounded by your closest friends: yes, hen and stag weekends have something of a reputation for debauchery and drunken antics.

But Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz are definitely maintaining low-key celebrations in advance of their Monday nuptials in Scotland.

In fact, it is the former Boyzone singer's teenage children who have been tasked with organising the events.

For Storm, that means getting the Eurostar from London to Paris with a dozen friends and family of varying ages. The group, who donned pink Storm's hen lanyards, were this morning all gifted with chic monogrammed Burberry scarves.

They also brought on board with them champagne or lemonade and brunch in wicker baskets from London's famed and oh-so posh Fortnum & Mason

In one Instagram snap, the bride-to-be was eager to thank her stepdaughter-in-waiting, Missy Keating, 14, for organising the particulars. Also visible in the same image is younger sis Ali Keating, nine.

Meanwhile, back in Ireland, Ronan's own bash was underway with thanks to Jack, his 16-year-old son. In an online post, the musician thanked his eldest child – as well as Storm – for pulling together the pre-wedding celebrations.

The accompanying snap also showed lines of brightly-coloured cooler pouches, each with a sticker naming the reciprocate, as well as a row of white gift bags. "The stage is set," the Dubliner said, playfully adding: "This could get messy."

Ronan, 38, popped the question to his 34-year-old Australian girlfriend of three years in April during a tropical trip to Thailand. "We've been together a few years now and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

"I felt it was the right time," he said in a Hello! magazine interview announcing their intention to marry.

Mr Keating also helped design her ring: a stunning oval-shaped diamond set in a diamond-encrusted band.

His divorce to Yvonne Connolly, 41, whom he married in 1999, was finalised earlier this year following their 2011 split.

Ronan's friend Brian McFadden had previously warned that the stag-do "won't be wild". He added in conversation with the Daily Star: "Ronan's stag do will be all red wine and cigars."

Following their lightning-quick engagement, Ronan and Storm will marry on Monday at the luxurious Archfield House estate and golf club in East Lothian.

She has also been married once before – to finance chief Tim Iver.

We've all been there, spending the majority of our pay cheques on rent and and then bitching about it until we get our next pay cheque.

Usually we threaten to leave our jobs, leave our apartments and then leave the country.

Well this guy did just that, besides leaving his job, and commutes from around 1,500 km away every day.

Sam Cookney was so sick of the extremely high rent prices in London that he decided to move to Spain and travel to work in England each day.

Two years ago, Sam tweeted saying: "Done the sums. Would actually be cheaper for me to rent 2 bed flat in Barcelona+commute to London, than get 1 bed here. Genuinely. Blog it?"

He then wrote a blog post two years later confirming that this was in fact what he was going to do, explaining his reasons behind the move and how much money he was going to save each month by moving country.

In his blog post he wrote:

"I think many people thought I was joking when I boldly declared it would be cheaper for me to rent a two bed flat in Barcelona and commute to London every day than get a one bed flat here. Turns out I was – I could in fact get a three bed flat."

The 32-year-old now travels four days a week to London from Barcelona and he actually saves money on rent! Even though he moved from sharing an apartment in London to his own Three-bedroom apartment in Spain.

In his blog post, Same explains how he paid €1,979 a month to live in London which includes rent, travel and council tax. He now pays €680 a month for rent in Barcelona and €912 on travel which brings him to a grand total of €1,592.

And turns out he's saving more than just pocket change, he has a saving €387 to spend as he pleases on his new life in Barcelona. We have to say, we are a bit jealous.

When a lot of people – men and women alike – hit the big 5-0, their need to keep fit and appear super sexy goes somewhat out the window.

Not 54-year-old Carol Vorderman, however: she stepped out last night looking sexier than ever as she left Scott's restaurant in London's swanky Mayfair.

Sporting her new bright blonde locks, Carol re-wore a vivid green Roland Mouret dress – the same, headline-grabbing dress she donned back in 2005 to great acclaim.

The figure-hugging dress was from Mouret's spring/summer '06 collection which took the fashion world by storm with celebrities such as Cameron Diaz and Victoria Beckham wearing them to red carpet events.

To update the look for a new decade, Carol teamed the slinky number with a chunky white belt and light khaki lace-up heels.

And we think she wore it better last night than she did ten years ago.

Carol has clearly been working out as the show-stopping frock clung to her tiny, gym-toned figure and for a woman her age (or any age!) she wasn't afraid to show off her body. But that's no surprise as recently she has been sharing snaps of her enviable physique on social media. All we can say is… fair play.

As many celebs these days would not dare to be seen in the same outfit twice, Carol is not afraid to re-use items from her wardrobe. She has stated in the past that she doesn't care what people think and once she likes something she will stick to it.

We have to say though, if we looked that good when we hit our 50s, we won't complain!

Each week we speak to an inspiring go-getter as part of our Rising Stars series.

Here, 24-year-old Hazel Wallace – better known to her many fans as the Food Medic, explains to us how she mingles her medical degree studies with managing her incredible online profile.

She also intimately discusses 6am starts, the sudden death of her father, and her BIG plans for the future…

Hazel Wallace is busy. Very busy in fact. She’s taking medical exams for one, and she runs her own business. Oh, and she still finds time to go to the gym.

If you follow her on Instagram (and if you don’t you should), you will probably have noticed that she looks her happiest when she’s working out.

And yes, she now has a body to die for.

By Hazel’s own admission, however, this wasn’t always the case.

Five years ago, when she moved from her native Co. Louth to the UK to pursue an initial degree in medical sciences, and a subsequent degree in medicine, she found herself switching between comfort food and what she thought was a healthy diet of fruit, cereals and yoghurt.

Although Hazel was slim, she says she felt lethargic, lacked in body confidence and had dry skin and hair.

“I developed bad eating habits and an unhealthy relationship with food,” Hazel explains to SHEmazing! “During a six week revision period leading up to exams, I decided to join the gym as an incentive to keep me motivated and energised during the study period.

“Alongside my new training programme, I began to feed my body the nourishment it so desperately needed and soon became a more energised, healthy and happy girl. I started to cook meals from scratch, try new foods and experiment with different ingredients.”

Two years ago, Hazel decided to merge her love of health sciences with her interest in nutrition and fitness, and in doing so, created the Food Medic blog. Her aim was simple: to show people that a healthy lifestyle is possible for everyone regardless of how busy they are.

She also began posting to Instagram pictures from her sessions in the gym, and at last count, her followers totaled some 48,000.

Hazel finds her insta-fame “all a bit surreal” but says she is “humbled by the support and constant positivity” she receives from her followers.

Last year, she even released her first eBook, Clean Eats And Protein Treats.

The 24-year-old explains that her interest in medicine was first triggered at 14 when her father suffered a stroke and sadly passed away. Medicine, she says, pushes her mentally, while training pushes her physically.

Understandably, her day is planned with military precision – because it has to be.

“I get up at 6am every day to reply to emails and get organised for the day ahead by packing my lunch, a gym bag and my bag for placement or the library,” she explains.

“I spend 9am-4pm in the library revising. I hit the gym afterwards for 60 minutes and come home for dinner. I do an hour of emails and social media or any Food Medic admin that needs attending to.

I revise for another few hours, prep my lunch for the next day and try to get to bed by 11pm. On the weekends I generally do all my meetings and events. I’m just back from the NIKE NTC tour in Stockholm!”

And Hazel has big plans too for the Food Medic brand and hopes to one day open a health food café.

“Some say I might bite off more than I can chew, but so far I’m enjoying juggling medicine and a business!” she laughs.

Some of her harsher critics have claimed that her use of Botox and other fillers is at times OTT – resulting in a waxen appearance.

But when Kim Kardashian arrived in London earlier today, it was clear that she'd had quite bit of work done: €200,000 worth of work, in fact.

Yes, fans may now be rather concerned that reality TV's biggest star has once and for all gone down the plastic surgery route… but they need not fear!

For the Kim Kardashian spotted in England is, in fact, made entirely of wax.

The €200,000 Madame Tussauds statue, which was unveiled today, even takes selfies – an activity perfected and championed by Mrs West herself.

The figure also wears the same striking Balmain minidress that Kim wore for her Paris hen party two days before her wedding to rapper Kanye West (well, it's an expertly-crafted recreation, as the original is worth some €16,500).

Although, appropriately for a woman rarely seen in the same item twice, Kim will undergo a number of designer outfit changes throughout the summer: the Balmain dress will depart at the end of this month, making way for a fresh look.

And Kanye himself will shortly be arriving at Madame Tussauds in waxwork form, being placed alongside his wife of a year.

The tourist attraction – one of the most popular in the city – said today: "When we were thinking about how we should portray Kim here at Madame Tussauds London, it quickly became obvious it HAD to be taking a selfie.

"But we wanted to make it really special and create a set where guests can take a picture that will look as if they have just bumped into Kim."

The 34-year-old, who is expecting her second child, already has a wax work in Madame Tussauds New York.

Depicting her donning a hot-pink Hervé Léger dress, it was unveiled in 2010. At that launch, Kim said: "This is one of the greatest honours ever and I am so thrilled and excited.

"Now I will never have to leave NYC."
