Love Island star Maura Higgins isn't one to withhold vital information, including about shenanigans from the Spanish villa that she may have caused.

The reality star has fast become a fan favourite due to her frank and honest nature, though she has now admitted to skirting around the rules to get some extra wine. Mad respect.

"I should never tell, but I'm gonna…" she revealed during an Instagram Q&A after an appearance on The Late Late Show last Friday night.

"Some nights you get one glass of wine, some nights you get two, you either get a choice of beer or wine, I always choose wine," Maura explained.

"One night I went into the larder where the drinks get prepared and there's like a water dispenser there. I went in before everyone else and I downed everyone's wine and I filled it up with water.

"And I got in really big trouble. The whole island got punished the following night because I got really drunk. I shouldn't have probably said that. I'll get in big trouble now!"

We can relate to the struggle of craving some vino, especially if we were on a stressful reality show fighting off other gals to find love.

The Longford native has also divulged on other behind-the-scenes secrets from the reality show, admitting that some scenes were reshot.

"Yeah, we did re-shoot," Maura said. "Just say, for instance, if a text came through and you weren't loud enough or if you stumbled on your words, you'd have to re-take obviously."

Maura Higgins has spoken out for the first time about her fellow Islander Amber Gill's split from Greg O'Shea, insisting that the winner is a "strong, independent woman."

The Love Island star believes that the Geordie beautician, who won the show with the Irish rugby player, will thrive despite being dumped ruthlessly via text.

Greg broke up with the Newcastle beauty only five weeks after they split the £50,000 prize and beat out Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.

Speaking at the TV Choice Awards, Higgins claims that Amber doesn't need the honest relationship advice she now dishes out on ITV's This Morning.

"You know what, Amber is such a strong girl. I don't think Amber needs much advice, she's very strong. She is a strong, independent woman and she will be absolutely fine."

Gill appeared on Loose Women yesterday to confirm that the relationship ended over text after she had asked Greg to make more of an effort with the romance by flying to London or Newcastle.

She appeared at the TV Choice Awards alone, without O'Shea in attendance. Maura also spoke about joining the ITV team, saying she felt "part of the furniture".

The emphasised that the villa friendships still exist; "We try to see each other as much as possible but it's difficult. Once you've been through that experience you want to be there to support one another."

Maura has had huge success since leaving the villa; "With the opportunities, it's insane. I feel very, very lucky, honestly."

Tubs has previously hinted that the Longford lass will join him on the sofa, saying to the Irish Mirror last week;

“I was watching it (Love Island) over the shoulders of youngsters no but like my feeling about that is even if you didn’t watch it, you know that even when it was going down the toilet and people were saying it was boring and it was the worst series of it, what did it take?"

This year will mark Tubridy's 11th year as host of the show;

“As of midnight when we get to the end of the show on September 6, I’ll be the second longest-serving host of the Late Late Show which is a strange mantel but a very big honour in my life.”

 Maura is currently taking a break from her appearances at events after admitting via her Instagram stories that she's completely "shattered" and "burnt out".

You're missing out on some Wild Atlantic Way beauty, gal. Your loss, we say.

Looks like we'll be seeing plenty more of Maura on our screens pretty soon, thank Goddess.

Maura Higgins is set to land her own reality show after TV bosses were impressed by her attitude and personality on ITV's Love Island.

The fiesty nature of the 28-year-old former grid girl has meant that she's become a breakout star of the villa, but Curtis Pritchard won't be needed for her new show.

Curtis himself has been named as the receptionist for the next series of The Greatest Dancer on BBC, while Maura is joining ITV's list of big stars.

While the producers aren't offering any couples a spin-off show (we want more GREG) due to fears of the partners splitting up before filming finishes

Maura made a flying start on This Morning as an agony aunt, but plans to challenge the star with a number of activities are in the works.

The Sun reports that there are plans for Maura to tick off a number of items from a 'turning-30 bucket list', which will see her take on everything from bungee-jumping to pottery making.

An inside source told The Sun that Maura is "great on screen so bosses want to create a platform where viewers can still get their fix."

Producers are "focusing on Maura" as "no-one really knows what the future holds" for her relationship with Curtis. Maura has "ratings-winner potential," and ITV are "ironing out details at the moment."

Maura's fanny flutters are getting her far in her career, it seems.

The Love Island contestant has represented her country proudly, uttering the word 'tanks' at every turn and using her wily ways to nab Curtis Pritchard.

We're all pretty dedicated to her for providing us with endless entertainment, but Naturally Fast Food brand LEON has taken the crown for possessing the most commitment to the grid girl.

LEON Ireland have pledged to rename their famous LOVe burger to 'The Maura Burger' for a day if the hilarious hopeful bags the £50,000 prize.

Her bid to win the Love Island crown hasn't gone unnoticed by the food brand, who recently opened their doors in Dublin's Temple Bar. Their gas offer is sure to turn heads and set pulses racing.

The day after the reality show's finale airs, The Maura Burger will come to life if the Irish hopeful bags the crown.

The burger itself will be exactly like the LOVe Burger, but with extra sauce on the side for some added spice. We all know Queen Maura loves a bit of seasoning and flavour in her life…

All customers must do is say “I got a text from Maura” when ordering and they will be offered a free side.

We're all about celebrating our icons with food, that's for sure.

Managing director of LEON Ireland, Stuart Fitzgerald, said;

Our team are addicted to Love Island and our favourite islander is definitely Longford native, Maura. Our team are 100 percent loyal to Maura so we thought we’d share the love with our customers."

The poor girl must have crippling back pain from carrying the ENTIRE series of the show. Don't miss out on LEON's offer, and remember your manners. As Maura would say; "Tanks".

It is a very good day for the locals of the town of Longford because they have just been bestowed with the title of Ireland's tidiest town for the year of 2015.

Snatching the crown from the reigning champs, Kilkenny, the central Irish town won the title closely followed by Dublin's coastal town of Dun Laoghaire.

The winner was announced at a ceremony in Dublin on Monday which was organised by the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL)

The shortlist for the win included Dungarvan, Dun Laoighaire, Drogheda and Kilkenny but all were pipped to the post by Longford.

Reviewers of the town noted that Longford's public spaces were: "not just clear of litter, but many were also superbly presented and maintained."

In recognition of their achievement, IBAL will commission a prominent artist to design a public sculpture to be proudly displayed in the town.

And even if your town did not make cut, there were no areas in Ireland that IBAL deemed as "black spots" for litter.

Phew! Because that could have been embarrassing.
