The couple is parents to two daughters – four-year-old Violet and two-year-old Hazel.
So what's their secret to juggling their marriage and family life?
Rob Marshall, who directed Emily in Mary Poppins Returns, says it's for a specific reason.
He says, ''Neither of them has a jealous bone in their body. People think marriage is looking deep into each other’s eyes. No, it’s looking out and seeing the same life. Emily and John see the same life.”
Jennifer Aniston has had her fair share of headlines over her lengthy career in TV and movies.
But now, on the cusp of hitting her milestone 50th birthday, she says that she is perfectly content with how her life is – and her career is certainly going from strength to strength.
She sat down with ELLE magazine to open about her life, love and how she's won't let her age get in the way of having a family.
The public's fascination with her
The media have been obsessed with Jennifer since her days of Friends – when is she getting married? Is she pregnant? When will she get pregnant?
She believes that using marriage and children as the ultimate marker of female happiness is a way to disempower successful women.
She says, ''What quantifies happiness in someone’s life isn’t the ideal that was created in the ’50s. It’s not like you hear that narrative about any men.”
She added, ''Why do we want a happy ending? How about just a happy existence? A happy process? We’re all in process constantly.''
Jennifer is keen to make sure that women know that they have other options – that being a wife and mother aren't the only ones.
She said, ''We live in a society that messages women: By this age, you should be married; by this age, you should have children. That’s a fairy tale. That’s the mould we’re slowly trying to break out of.''
How has the media's response to her not having kids affected her?
She said, ''It’s such a shallow lens that people look through. It’s the only place to point a finger at me as though it’s my damage – like it’s some sort of a scarlet letter on me that I haven’t yet procreated, or maybe won’t ever procreate.”
Is a family something she wants?
She said, "Who knows what the future holds in terms of a child and a partnership – how that child comes in…or doesn't? And now with science and miracles, we can do things at different times than we used to be able to."
The actor has been married twice – to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and Justin Thereoux from 2015 to 2017.
She believes that her unions have been successful.
She said, ''When they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness didn't exist within that arrangement anymore."
Sure, there were bumps, and not every moment felt fantastic, obviously, but at the end of it, this is our one life and I would not stay in a situation out of fear. Fear of being alone. Fear of not being able to survive. To stay in a marriage based on fear feels like you’re doing your one life a disservice.
Social Media
Jennifer is not a fan of social media – and for good reason.
She said, ''The one thing I have is maintaining this little circle of sanctity that’s my own.''
She added, ''If I’m sitting here posting something about my dogs or I’m Boomeranging my coffee mug in the morning, that’s just giving away one more piece of something that is mine."
Her relationship with her mum
Jen was famously estranged from her mum, former model Nancy Dow, for years.
She opens up about their strained relationship, which began when she was a kid and her mother was focused on Jennifer's physical appearance.
Jennifer said, ''It wasn't her fault, it's just the things she would teach me…It didn't instil a lot of security about how I felt about my physical appearance."
She continued, ''I think she was just holding on and doing the best she could, struggling financially and dealing with a husband who was no longer there. Being a single mom in the ’80s I’m sure was pretty crappy.”
We're sure 2019 will be another stellar year for Jennifer – and that she will continue to live her life according to her own rules.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge announced the news via Insta.
"After nearly ten years together, Salvador and I have decided that the time has come to part ways," he penned.
However, throw away the popcorn as the break-up hasn't given us any juicy drama, and Ross explained that they're keeping their split classy.
"This split is amicable and filled with kindness, compassion and a genuine love for one another. As we go forward, each of us feels as if he has a cheerleader in our corner – a family member for life."
"We are happy. Thank you all for your well wishes and love," he finished.
A big congrats are in order for Joe Wicks and his gf Rosie Jones.
The Body Coach took to Insta to announce the exciting news that he proposed to the 27-year-old – and she said yes.
Posting a gorge snap of the couple and their baby daughter Indie, Joe penned a beautiful tribute to his family.
He wrote, ''My little family. Our 3rd wheel comes everywhere with us and we love our adventures together. My mum and dad never got married when I was growing up and spent my whole life separating and getting back together and I always thought I didn't believe in marriage."
He continued, "But I now know what it means to want to stick together and to love someone enough to want to marry them. I asked Rosie to marry me and luckily she said yes. It’s my goal in life to be committed and loyal to Rosie and Indie and always be there for them."
The 32-year-old fitness guru might not have believed in marriage in the past but it seems that Rosie has changed his mind.
His fans were quick to give the pair their well wishes, with one writing, ''Wonderful news!! I love hearing good news like this. You make a beautiful looking family.''
Famous friends also left sweet comments, like Giovanna Fletcher, who wrote: "Aaaaaaaaaah!!!! Congratulations to you both!"
Joe and Rosie, who have been together for two years, welcomed their first child Indie in July and she has been a regular feature on their social media since then.
Joe has also opened up about his first Christmas as a dad.
He said, ''My plan is to spend my first Christmas with my little daughter Indie and give her a nice day and let her experience it. And also Oscar and Milo, my nephews. Just get all the family together, have a nice meal and just cook a nice big Christmas dinner.''
We wish this stunning couple all the best for their impending nuptials and first festive season with their little one.
In case you don't remember Aaron Carter (brother of Nick), he was essentially the 90s embodied; a teen singing heartthrob with questionable blonde hair who sang about candy.
Yes, he's the young boy who sang I Want Candy, and yet continued to have a career.
He's still performing nowadays with a new album, but he frequently serves clapbacks to his online haters through his Twitter account, and this time it was all about adolescent male singers.
According to Carter, he "paved the way" for Justin Bieber's fame, and was never given any credit for it. Hmm, I know we have some thoughts on this matter.
Listen man. I can’t sit here & just not say anything to that, I’ve been in this industry before he was born. I’ve had harder times and always bounce back. No I’m not Justin Bieber I’m Aaron Carter. I’m also in construction I paved the way. These kids have NEVER paid me homage. https://t.co/Qe86BI22Pq
Seems a little self-absorbed to us, but what was even more surprising was Justin Bieber's response.
Seeing as Carter, now 30, claimed that singers such as Jesse McCartney and J.Biebs never "gave him homage", you'd think they'd be annoyed at this comment, but Bieber actually backed him up on this.
Justin tweeted: "Aaron Carter, I had your album when I was little. And bumped the song Aaron's Party. I was like 7, if you need a hype man i got you." Well, colour us surpised.
Aaron carter i had your album when I was little. And bumped the song Aaron’s party. I was like 7. if you need a hype man I got you.
Their conversation continued in a pretty friendly manner, and maybe Carter had a point.
He never reached the level of success which Justin Bieber achieved, but did he begin the era of teenage boys singing absolute bops to teenage girls?
No bro it’s all good. No hype needed fr people just come at me sideways and I’m just doing my best I’ve also been a big supporter of you since your start. I also stood in line to watch your movie man. It’s all LøVë ps your music insipired my new stuff. So there’s that. https://t.co/x1Twhzgyak
So it's true, Aaron Carter was one of Justin Bieber's inspirations, and then Justin Bieber's new tunage inspired Aaron Carter's new album, LøVë.
Consider us confused and amused.
There's no doubt that late 1990s teen singer Jesse McCartney was influenced by Aaron Carter too, I mean the Beautiful Soul singer literally resembles his twin.
What do you think, was Aaron Carter just being a slightly bitter lemon that he never got the same attention, or did he pave the way for The Biebs?
We, for one, are glad this didn't turn into a spat.
Chris Pratt is reportedly all set to have wedding bells ringing, according to UsWeekly. The Jurassic World actor met his new girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger only months ago, but is so in love that he's ready to tie the knot already.
Well, they're living life in the fast lane, eh?
The 39-year-old actor is apparently so in love with 28-year-old Katherine that he has been turning down acting work simply to spend more time with her. Now that's commitment.
Schwarzenegger and Pratt were first spotted in June on a date, but they have been an item for a significantly longer period of time according to RadarOnline.
Pratt was also seen bonding with her famous father Arnold Schwarzenegger recently, and the couple were apparently set up by Katherine's mother Maria Shriver.
Even though the pair have only dated for six months, their friends seem convinced that marriage is inevitable for them.
People also that it seems pretty likely that Pratt will put a ring on it soon. “They’re such a great fit together,” the source explained.
“It’s only been a few months but Chris and Katherine are both very serious about the relationship and their friends wouldn’t be surprised if they got engaged sooner rather than later."
Katherine has spent time with Chris’ family and they all love her too. She fits in really well with them and vice versa.”
Chris was formerly married to actress Anna Faris from 2009 until this year, and the pair share joint legal and physical custody of their six-year-old son Jack.
Faris has since moved on, and is dating her Overboard cinematographer Michael Barrett.
We hope both couples are happily loved up, it must be intimidated to date The Terminator's daughter though… just sayin'
The temperature has MAJORLY dropped, Halloween is long gone and it's dark at 5pm; you know what this means. IT'S CHRISTMASTIME.
What better way to celebrate the festive season than Netflix and Chill? (literally, it's freezing)
We've decided to do a round-up of all the newestNetflix films which can get you in the holiday spirit, as well as remind you of the best ones available on the streaming service.
As "research", we've even decided to watch them all. Don't say we aren't committed to our jobs…
Netflix remains the Rudolph of the pack when it comes to streaming services, and they have made some absolute gems for us to enjoy this year.
1. The Princess Switch
While Vanessa Hudgen's latest offering contains a huge amount of confusing plot points (I mean, when the identical women who are both played by Vanessa Hudgens meet for the first time, they literally aren't shocked at all…) it cannot be denied that it's entertainment GOLD.
Stacy De Novo and as Lady Margaret Delacourt are a doppelganger duo who bump into each other and decide to switch places. Margaret wants to experience normal life, while Stacey (obviously) wants to be royal for a few days.
The Princess Switch is fairly inexplicable, but contains two charming men who Hudgens gets to kiss repeatedly, a lot of snow, a huge amount of Christmas themes and a gas game of Twister.
Watch to switch off your brain and succumb to holiday cheer.
2. The Holiday Calendar
Kat Graham stars as a struggling but talented photographer who inherits an antique holiday advent calendar which can PREDICT THE FUTURE.
The question is, can she use the calendar to find love this festive season? Quincey Brown plays her love interest; we are hooked already.
You don't have to ask us to watch this, we're already on the couch ready for the ultimate That's So Raven Christmas experience.
3. The Christmas Chronicles
Kate and Teddy Pierce are siblings who hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus, played by Kurt Russell, on Christmas Eve.
However, the plan goes awry and the kids must join forces with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save Christmas before it's too late, experiencing the adventure of a lifetime while they're at it.
Russell has dedicated his performance to his father and the California wildfire victims.
The Christmas Chronicles will be released November 22, 2018.
4. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding
OH. MY. GOD.
When the news came in that 2017's iconic A Christmas Prince had a sequel, it's fair to say we had an absolute meltdown.
The first movie was essentially a 'SOB, Prince Harry is taken' comfort flick, featuring Rose McIvor as an aspiring young magazine journalist, Amber Moore, who is sent to Aldovia to cover a press conference with prince Richard.
Richard, a rumoured playboy, is set to take the throne following his father's recent death, but has mixed feelings about the task. While snooping around the palace for a story, Ambers mistaken for young Princess Emily's new tutor.
Amber then goes undercover. Royal security just doesn't exist in Aldovia it would seem.
OF COURSE, a love story ensues between Amber and Richard, but will they make it down the aisle? STAY TUNED:
Don't forget the original: A Christmas Prince
Classic Netflix Christmas movies:
Don't miss these absolute gems from previous years, if you've already watched all of 2018's Christmas additions. (We can't help it okay? We're addicted.)
It's a shame Love Actually or How The Grinch Stole Christmas haven't made it to Irish Netflix yet, but here's hoping for 2019. Fingers crossed, lads.
A Christmas Inheritance
Ambitious heiress Ellen Langford is in line to inherit her father's business, but before this happens she must deliver a special Christmas card to her dad's former partner in Snow Falls.
A snowstorm strands her at the town inn and hinders her goal, but will she learn a few lessons about the true meaning of Christmas while trapped in the town?
We suspect so. There's a clumsy meet-cute, a love/hate relationship with the love interest Jake, a fiance who isn't good for her; in other words, the classic rom-com Christmas clichés.
Cliché-ridden nonetheless, we're still going to watch it, aren't we?
Arthur Christmas
James McAvoy voices Arthur, Santa's youngest son who must deliver a crucial present before Christmas morning dawns.
Santa Claus delivers presents to every last child on Earth, but what everyone doesn't know is that Santa accomplishes this with the assistance of a very high-tech operation beneath the North Pole.
The unthinkable happens, and Santa misses one child out of millions. Will Arthur save the day?
The Christmas Wedding Planner
A wedding planner's world is completely turned upside down when a devilishly handsome private investigator is hired to disrupt her biggest job yet, but will they put their differences aside?
Kelsey Wilson's must organise her cousin's lavish wedding to perfection, but Connor McClane quickly upends the upcoming nuptials after being hired by a private source.
Hint: sparks fly. Otherwise there would be no movie…
Jack Frost
Michael Keaton stars in the 1998 Christmas flick about a touring musician clinging to dreams of stardom.
Ageing rocker Jack Frost doesn't dedicate enough time to his wife Gabby, and young son, Charlie. Following Jack's tragic death in a car accident on Christmas Day , Charlie plays a mournful tune on his father's harmonica.
To his understandable shock, his dad Jack Frost is magically brought to life as a snowman on the family lawn. Charlie and Jack struggle to make up for lost time as father and son, it's the ultimate family tearjerker.
A Wish for Christmas
Lacey Chabert (OMG it's Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls) stars as Sara, a frustrated web designer who makes a Christmas wish for the courage to stand up for herself.
After exposing her boss for stealing her ideas, Sara is thrust into the spotlight and may get more than she bargained for in both her work and love lives.
Be careful what you wish for, but our Netflix wishes have most definitely come true.
The Holiday(coming 7th December)
Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Jude Law and Cameron Diaz star in the classic 2006 winter season house-swap comedy.
Two women plagued with guy-problems swap homes and countries, where they each meet a local guy and fall in love.
It's such a perfect movie for friends and family to watch together, one of the best and most-loved rom-com's of the genre.
Remember Cameron Diaz blasting Mr Brightside in her cottage drinking wine? Us in roughly three hours.
Happy Netflix-ing, gals. These should keep you in the Christmas mood all throughout December, at least.
Enjoy all of the romance, comedy, drama and holiday festivities which streaming can give, we know we will.
Let's not lie to ourselves, we are all GUSHING over the whirlwind romance that's sweeping Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra off their feet.
They are both stunning to look at, and no one can deny how in love they are. Since meeting at the Met Gala in 2017, it's been no secret that they enjoy each other's company, to say the least.
Now that they're engaged, and Priyanka has that WHOPPER of a Tiffany & Co. ring on her finger, we feel it's time to learn how their relationship really started.
So let's get the dirt, how did he go from being her Fashion Forward date to future hubby? Following Chopra's NYC bridal shower, she gave us a few deets on their romance and we are LAPPING it up.
"Just being in the whole situation of finding somebody who can be a partner to you in so many more ways than one is amazing, so yes I'm very excited," she mused. Ugh, they're too cute.
In a separate interview, when asked about her singer fiancé, Priyanka gushed that the key to their relationship is all about a dose of Aretha Franklin's fave thing: respect.
"By that, I don't mean makes coffee for you, not that," she clarified. "But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life."
The bride elaborates that, for her, a respectful person is someone "who respects that if his work is important, so is yours. Or if he makes choices that are important to him, so is your opinion. That's respect, and that's incredible to have."
Their relationship sounds hella healthy to us. We're so happy for them, but where's our formal text message and Met Gala 2019 date?
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are one of those on-again-off-again couples we struggle to keep up with.
However, Gigi gave us some clarity on their relationship status this morning with a very cuddly Insta pic.
Clearly the couple are very much over their March break up and are enjoying some quality time together, as Gigi shared a snap of the two in an intimate embrace.
The Shallow Hal actress took to Instagram to show off her gorgeous wedding band and we’re sure it cost a pretty penny.
She shared an intimate snap of her hand placed on the American Horror Story producer’s hand. The pair wore matching gold bands in the snap that has amassed over 266,000 likes in less than a day.
Fans couldn’t help but swoon over the romantic shot: “I wish you all the best. I love you and hope he brings you all the happiness in the world.”
“Amazing rings. Simple and beautiful,” said another.
“I wish you a life full of love, happiness and joy with your husband,” another wrote.
The lovebirds announced their engagement in the January of this year by posing on the front cover of Goop magazine.
Speaking about finding love again with Brad, the Iron Man actress shared: “I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.”
She’s shared a snap of the rings, now we can only hope Gwyneth will give us a glimpse at her stunning wedding dress.
