After the singer trademarked Fenty Beauty last year (Fenty is her legal surname), we expected to see Rihanna unveil a beauty and/or make up line any day.

And while we're STILL waiting… in a recent interview with Refinery29, the singer did appear to be preparing for a cosmetics launch in the not-so-distant future.

Hurrah!

"A beauty range is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do", she said.

“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I'm going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that."

Sounds promising to us.

The Barbados-beauty also shed some light on what would be her fantasy beauty products.

"There are a lot! Lashes that could just put themselves on… lipstick that doesn’t move, but doesn’t dry your lips out, that you don’t need a liner for. I mean, it sounds so unreal."

Following her collaborations with MAC and her own reputation for looking great ALL THE TIME, we're sure her beauty line will be far from dull.

Once payday comes around, the Brown Thomas cosmetics counter becomes a place of irresistible temptation. Rewind ten years and it was the same story, except we were blowing our pocket money in Boots and the local pound shop.

After all, how could you have faced the local GAA disco without a thick layer of baby blue eyeshadow and green glitter gel eyeliner?

Here are just a few of the items no self-respecting Noughties teen was ever seen without…

1. Scented body glitter
Roll-on, of course. Mainly used on the cheeks, plus the collarbone if you wanted to feel *sexy*

2. Coloured hair mascara
The actual purpose of this still eludes us, but by God if we weren't going to collect every shade.

3. Two-tone purple eyeshadow palettes
They had the lilac AND the violet, y'see. Looking back, we probably looked like we had two black eyes, but at the time we felt FLY.

4. Perfumed body spray
You could always rely on Santa to give you a Charlie Red or So! gift set.

5. Sun-In
Back before we'd ever heard the words 'professional colourist.'

6. Tommy Girl perfume
For occasions that required something more sophisticated than body spray, Tommy Girl was our go-to scent.

7. A GIANT eyeshadow set
'Cos surely that was what real make-up artists used?

8. Juicy Tubes lipgloss
Sophie's Choice: go for an everyday baby pink or risk spending everything on the bright red one?

9. Urban Decay glitter gel eyeliner
To go with your lilac eyeshadow, obvz.

For all you Potterhead and beauty lovers out there, it seems your dream has finally come true!

LA Splash Cosmetics has come up with a line of liquid lipsticks named after J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter characters and wizardry terms.

Needless to say, the colours are getting some serious publicity.

The lipsticks come in a range of dark and bright colours and some of the names include Bellatrix, Sirius, Lovegood and Ravenclaw.

While the whole Potter world is freaking out with excitement, some fans are taking it very seriously and getting angry that the colours and names don't match.

One Facebook user Samantha Miller commented: "Just because they took the names from a book, they think they're great and geeky. But the colors they used for each one are just No. Bellatrix should have been that deep, deep red she wore. Sirius should have been close to black in color. The navy for Bellatrix should have been Ravenclaw. Its just a mess."

If you agree or disagree, here's a look at the fabulous colours:

Don't you just HATE it when you come to the end of your foundation?

There's still make-up at the bottom of your bottle that you JUST CAN'T get to.

Frustrating right?

Well not anymore! There has been a new beauty revelation and it goes under the name of the Beauty Spoon.

With this nifty little spatula you can now use every ounce of the products you purchase.

It comes with a reusable flex stem and contoured bottom to make it easy for you to retrieve all the liquid along the bottom and sides of your product bottles and containers.

When you're finished using it, simply wash the Beauty Spoon with soap and water and it's as good as new!

Oh… and did we mention they are only €7.50? Bargain!

We all know the drill by now… You created beautiful, perfect brows this morning and come lunch time your strong brow game has changed to a no-brow game.

We HATE when this happens so we caught up with Fuschia Make-Up MD Gillian Moore-Brady and make-up artist Dawn Finnegan to find out how we can master gel brows that actually stay in place from morning all the way to night.

We all have our tried and trusted male up routines at this point. Whether you contour, strobe, fill in your brows or go for a minimal look, there’s something you do with your make up that you just know will give you the look you want every single time.

Unfortunately, those habits can actually be doing more harm than good. Allure spoke with some professional makeup artists who revealed the things that we all do that they absolutely hate. Oops, let’s try avoid these next time then.

Using too much foundation.

Instead use a lightweight tinted moisturizer and spot-check with a fuller-coverage concealer. If you get shiny, carry oil-blotting papers to keep the skin fresh.

Taking trends too seriously.

Instead of trying to look the same as everyone else, some makeup artists want to remind us that a certain individuality is just as, if not more beautiful. They say have fun with your look and try not suck all the joy out of it because you’re worried your contour isn’t on point.

Making a mess of mascara.

"I constantly see women who apply so much mascara but then don't clean up the eye area properly. You're then left with mascara smudged all over the lid. After applying mascara, I like to wait for it to dry before taking a dry Q-Tip to wipe away excess product that may have transferred onto the eyelid and underneath the eye,” says Carissa Ferreri.

Going OTT with the brow pencil.

The renaissance of the eyebrow is in full swing. However, be careful because it is a slippery slope and makeup artists warn that too much pencil or filler can leave you looking a little unnatural and false.

We just a handle on strobing, but now for the next phase in contouring madness, we think we might need a much more steady hand.

This new method may or may not require you to have an art portfolio, but it definitely looks like the work of some people with serious skills.

A makeup/henna artist from Pakistan, Sahur Sleim has changed the game for everyone at this point with her incredibly intricate henna patterns used to map her face for highlighting and contouring.

Usually, henna dye is made from the natural dye that comes from a Henna tree. Instead Sahur uses foundation and concealer with a super thin paint brush. She uses her usual make up sponge to blend the patterns together to get some incredible definition.

"Face painting, henna and makeup have always been dear to me and I saw an opportunity to tie them together and grabbed it instantly," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Her account is currently of major interest after Huda Kattan, a Dubai based blogger, reposted her images to share Sahur’s henna contour with her 6 million followers.

Sahur talked to Marie Claire about the process and how she came up with the technique. She said that when she was practising the clown contouring method with a friend, the idea came to her.

“I practice henna and I have a pretty good understanding of patterns and how to pair them so they look fluid and can fit into certain spaces and end at a certain spot,” she explains that while she has the experience, it’s mostly “intuition and practice.”

She counts Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic as one of her role models, along with Fyza Ali: “All the work they do, especially with contouring is so flawless.”

Amazing.

There are probably not many things worse than being fully prepared for a big night out only to open your beloved make up bag and realise you are fresh out of concealer. Or lipstick. Or mascara, or any other of your favourite beauty products.

It happens, and it can be a nightmare. We have busy lives and while we love our cosmetics, sometimes they can be touch pricey.

Next time you are running low on your must-haves, make sure you give these handy hacks a read because they could save you millions. Ok not millions, but enough to put a smile on your face.

Broken powders (eyeshadows, blushers etc.) can be repaired with a few drops of rubbing alcohol.

Use a lighter to reattach your broken lipstick.

When you come to end of your favourite lippy, scoop it out and pop it in a pot for extra uses.

Use warm water to help your mascara loosen up.

Any dried out gel liners can be brought back to life with eye drops.

Eyeshadow primer will make colours pop and stop you using excessive amounts to get a decent colour.

A dried out eye liner can be rejuvenated by running it under cold water.

Perfume nearly empty? Add the last few drops to your body lotion. Not a very intense scent mind you, but better than nothing!

Put your nail varnish into a glass of hot water upside down if the lid is stuck.

You can use a reasonably priced bar of soap to clean you make up brushes instead of buying expensive specific cleaners or sacrificing your shampoo.

When model of the moment Karlie Kloss announced earlier this month that she was starting a YouTube channel called Klossy, it sparked much debate about whether or not YouTube was a viable source for models to gain exposure.

While social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram are great for getting your name out there, it seems YouTube offers them a more unique outlet of expression.

So we did our own digging around – finding a few amazing models just like Karlie who have their own YouTube channels.

Read on to meet the models of YouTube

Ruth Crilly

Between all the makeup for fashion shows and photo shoots over the years, models practically become beauty experts. Ruth Crilly's experience in front of the camera led her to start her own YouTube channel dedicated to product recommendations. You will see her sampling countless products from perfumes, to lipsticks and moisturisers. This girl knows her stuff!

Taylor, Logan and Mackinley Hill

The Hill sisters started their YouTube channel to document their journey from high school students to top models. With Taylor tapped to be the next Victoria's Secret Angel and sister Mackinley following shortly behind her, the sisters have charted every moment via their online channel. They also take time to answer questions from aspiring models.

Alexandra Elizabeth and Harleth Kuusik

Alexandra Elizabeth was on YouTube well before she became a model but initially she focused more on dance than fashion. Now that she's on the runway she captures all the moments with fellow model Harleth Kuusik. From all the backstage chaos and international travel that comes hand-in-hand with their job, this channel gives you some great insight to the world of a top model.

Dauphine McKee

This blonde beauty gives a little bit of everything on her YouTube channel from modelling advice to make up reviews and even the occasional song cover. A medical degree is also on the horizon for Dauphine so expect to see a lot of health and fitness reviews coming along soon.

Nowadays we pretty much have a make up trick in the book to fool everyone. From contouring to strobing, concealing and filling in, we know how to do it all.

But this year the whole world went crazy for big lips (cheers, Kylie!) and now there's a new trend in town that will achieve the plump lip look without any fillers or injections. #score

What's more is that you will not only look like you have a fuller pout, you will have two gorgeous colours gracing your lips and that is bound to make you look fabulous, no matter what other make up you have on.

All the trick comes down to is SHADING. It's like contouring on your lips (because we can contour everything now) and the use of two colours, one darker that the other, creates depth and fullness.

The Make Up Store's creative director, Maria Gabriel, commented on the new trend saying: "The technique has changed from the ombré shifting from top-to-bottom on the lip, to instead start at the corners of the mouth and fading into the centre".

Here is a little lesson on how to ace the trend. Believe us, you will be racing to your lipsticks to try and achieve this.

1. To start off you need to prep and prime the whole lip. Make sure your lips are fully covered in primer as it is an essential part of the process. Then line the outside with a natural lip colour to keep the lipstick from bleeding.

2. Next, choose a neutral lip liner and completely fill your lips with it. This is to make sure the colour is consistent throughout .

3. Clean or cover up any lip liner that's slipped with concealer so you have the perfect outline and get them looking precise and perfect.

4. You now have to get your dark lip shade and feather the outer corners of your lips, then blend the colour in using a lip brush.

5. To finish, get your lighter lip shade and fill in the centre of your lips to give you that pop of colour!

And there you go! The secret to the perfect pout.
