Pulling yourself together after a long-haul flight or even an early morning commute can be a day’s work in itself, but as Bella Hadid has shown in a new Vogue makeup tutorial, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Given that she’d been travelling for “for two months straight” at the time of filming, Bella – who is well known for her stunningly simple beauty looks – surely knows a thing or two about concealing the dehydrating effects a hectic lifestyle can have on the skin.

And while it’s clear that the young model is using high-end makeup products in the clip, it is interesting to note the ease with which she applies them.  While so many makeup tutorials achieve stunning results through precise, intensive and time-consuming application processes, the secret to Bella’s success seems to be her laid back approach.

In the short new video the teen can be seen applying a liquid concealer to much of her face before blending it in quickly with a beauty blender.  She then uses a cream Dior contour stick to define her cheek bones.

Again she uses the cosmetics sponge to blend, before adding a powder highlighter to the high points of her face and filling in her brows roughly with an eyebrow pencil.

Unusually the 19-year-old is shown putting a lash primer and mascara on her eyelashes before adding a gold shimmer shadow to her lids with her finger.

Finally Bella uses some clear gloss on her lips and twirls her wet hair into a bun to complete her fresh-faced off-duty look.  It’s that simple!

Most of us are guilty of working out with a face full of makeup, right?

Whether it's down to a lack of time to remove it or the fact that you are a little self-conscious about your skin and you just know the gym is brimming with hotties, there are few women who can say hand-on-heart that they have never gone to the gym working a full foundation look.

We all know that we SHOULD remove makeup before getting all hot and bothered, but do you really know why?

1. It clogs your pores:

Which can lead to blackheads and dull looking skin.

2. Your skin needs to sweat AND breathe:

But when there is a barrier of makeup, creams and oil it can struggle to release perspiration and breathe.

3. When your skin cools down the pores tighten:

This in turn locks dirt and grime in.

4. It can cause redness and uneven tone:

When you are working out with makeup on the heat can become trapped under the skin which can cause flare ups like rosacea.

5. You are merely hiding a skin issue:

Most of us who wear makeup when working out either don’t have time to take it off or are self-conscious about our skin. However, covering up with makeup is merely masking the issue and in fact can make it worse.

6. You don’t need it:

Seriously! Everyone will be too busy making sure they look OK working out to be bother by whether you have makeup on or not.

It’s hard to believe it’s been six years since the tantastic stars of TOWIE first entered our lives and while the controversial cast have long been noted for their unique sense of style, some of the show’s stars seems to have changed a lot more than others since their 2010 debuts.

From slimmed down frames to more pronounced pouts, we take a look at the ever-changing appearances of some of Essex’s best known personalities.

Gemma Collins:

Back in 2011 Gemma Collins had dark brown hair, a full fringe and a tan which could only be called abnormally orange.  Since then Gemma has taken a slightly more subtle approach to the slap and has dyed her locks to her familiar blonde shade.  Despite continued speculation that she’s followed the likes of Charlotte Crosby and had her lips plumped, Gemma still denies using fillers.

Amy Childs:

Since finding fame on The Only Way Is Essex and It’s All About Amy model Amy Childs has become quite the businesswoman.  But while Amy’s signature style has remained relatively constant over the years, the star’s physical appearance has changed as a result of cosmetic surgery.  The 26-year-old has openly admitted to having her boobs enhanced and her lips and cheeks filled, alterations which she now claims to regret.

Chloe Sims:

Since joining the Essex crew in 2010, Chloe Sims has had a fair bit of work done.  Aside from giving her brunette do a blonde overhaul, Chloe has openly admitted to having a boob job, bum lift and fillers to alter her physical appearance.

Lauren Goodger:

Lauren Goodger has made one of the most dramatic TOWIE transformations in recent years as not only has the star’s frame got slimmer, her lips now look bigger than ever before.  In January this year Lauren revealed she’d dropped four stone and five dress sizes after swapping yo-yo diets for a new workout regime.  Like her former co-star Gemma Collins, Lauren denies having her lips done and instead claims her new pout is the result of a lip plumper she bought at MAC.

Lydia Bright:

While always a fan of feminine style, boutique owner Lydia Bright has pared back her look for the better.  While once a fan high-coverage foundation and frilly dresses, the star now favours a more natural-looking complexion which goes perfectly with her soft boho dress sense.

Sam Faiers:

Former glamour model Sam Faiers has ditched the blonde bombshell look she once sported in Essex in favour of a much subtler brunette style.  The mother of one now rocks dark roots and a healthy glow as she focuses her attention on baby Paul.

Considering MAC smash everything from lipstick lines to special collections it is no great surprise that the brand's cosmetic counters are always buzzing.

But have you ever wondered what kind of juicy insider secrets you would learn while working for the makeup giant?

Buzzfeed Style recently rounded up a long list of MAC employee secrets, so we've picked out our favourite eight just for you:

1. MAC staff get a pretty decent discount:

As anyone who’s ever worked a retail job will know, people are always mad to know what kind of discount you get and for MAC employees, it’s pretty hefty indeed.  MAC staff can reportedly get up to 60 percent off the brand’s products as well as a monthly allowance to spend in store.

2. And once a year they can get whatever they want for FREE:

MAC’s annual gratis is a time when staff members can order a selection of their favourite products for free.  The actual dream.

3. But in fairness you’d want a helping hand if you had to wear makeup ALL of the time.

There’s no taking a makeup free day if you work at MAC because the MAC MUA’s are expected to wear a full face of makeup all of the time.  If you’re working in-store and aren’t seen to be wearing enough product, you will be asked to apply more.

4.  So how do they keep themselves fresh faced on the floor all day?

A good spritz of Fix + is how.  MAC’s must have refreshing mist is a bit of a cult beauty product as this lightweight water-based spray helps keep the face hydrated while giving fading makeup the boost it needs.

5. Which must have product is impossible to get hold of?

The brand's most in demand product is the Soar lip liner thanks to Kylie Jenner.  Back before Kylie Cosmetics began breaking the Internet on a daily basis the reality star also recommended MAC's Whirl liner.

6. Six MAC empties do equal a free lipstick.

So be sure to hold on to those bad boys.

7. They know their stuff:

You can't just wander in off the street and land a job in MAC – you've got to earn those benefits.  While some staff members were trained by MAC and others learned their trade elsewhere, everyone working in MAC is a qualified makeup artist.

8. Oh, there is one more perk…

We’re seriously big fans of Urban Decay around these parts.

Let’s face it too – Urban Decay is ALL about packaging. For this reboot, the iconic Vice Ltd case has been used, albeit this time drenched in black and topped it off with a purple jewelled UD icon.

Press the button to unveil the eye-candy inside, along with an oversized mirror and an double-ended brush.

For most women applying mascara is a no brainer – find one you like, give your lashes a few quick swipes and off you go.  But apparently this process should be a lot more labour intensive than you’d think.

According to Allure, using just a couple of layers of mascara applies nowhere near enough product to achieve the volumising and lengthening effects you’ve been promised.

Makeup artist Amy Nadine claims it takes exactly 30 strokes per eye to get lashes on fleek and the technique used to apply the mascara shouldn’t exactly be haphazard either.

Amy told Allure the stokes should not be long and precise and that instead you should use “quick brisk strokes” when putting on this product.

Given that she’s recommending 60 strokes per day, they’d want to be pretty brisk indeed.

The ravages of time can be a cruel mistress for the Hollywood starlets desperately trying to preserve their youthful exuberance.

Still, it seems that Rachel Bilson – FOREVER Summer Roberts to us – isn't a mere mortal.

That's because, and close-to a decade after the The OC wrapped up (we're still not over it) she looks the exact same.

Love seeing this beauty @jennaldewan for @target #catandjack #targetpartner

Indeed, while hitting a chic Target fashion event in New York with BFF and wife of Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Rachel looked all sorts of totally gorge.

Although the actress, now 34, maintains that she's decidedly low-key when it comes to a beauty routine since the birth of her daughter 18months ago.

Chatting to Allure magazine recently, she said: “In my own life, it’s a little bit of mascara, a little Chapstick, and I’m ready to go.

“Maybe I’ll add a little eyeliner in there to spice things up. Maybe a little bronzer.”

She added that her daughter, whom she and her long-term actor partner Hayden Christensen, 35, named Briar Rose, doesn't even recognise her is she's sporting a lot of slap.

“If I ever have anything on – like if I have mascara on – my daughter just stares at me for, like, five minutes: ‘Who are you?’ Ms Bilson laughed.

Between smashing her current Revival tour and becoming the proud owner of the most liked photo on Instagram, it’s happy days for Selena Gomez.

And it seems those at camp Gomez are getting in on the good vibes as the star’s makeup artist Melissa Murdick has released a new makeup tutorial in which she demonstrates one of the singer’s best Revival looks.

The informative video was posted to the Revival Tour Instagram account this evening and explains to viewers how they can recreate Selena’s copper smoky eye.

The step-by-step clip states that you should apply a medium copper eyeshadow to the lid and into the crease of the eye in an elongated shape, before applying a deeper shade to the outer corner and inner crease.

Melissa then applies a thin line of black liquid liner along the lash line.  She explains that for extra drama false lashes can also be added at this stage.

The celebrity MUA then advises viewers to add definition to the eye by applying a brown shadow below the lower lash line and finish the look by filling in the brows.  Ladies, it’s that simple.

If you’ve ever been doing your foundation and accidentally applied one layer too many, you’ll know what it’s like to feel caked in makeup.

But a Swedish beauty blogger who YouTubes under the name Jeely has decided to take that experience to the extreme by applying 100 layers of foundation to her own face.

According to The Daily Mail, Josefin Lillakas spent three hours applying the drug store product with a beauty blender which eventually left her looking like she was wearing some form of greasy mask.

Naturally Josefin filmed the process for YouTube and in the video description she very honestly describes the experience as “craycray” and “messy af”.

Throughout the clip – which has been viewed over 175,000 times since it was uploaded last Thursday – she jokes that “at least it’s full coverage” and asks “am I flawless yet?”

She is also seen blow-drying her face at multiple stages during the process in an attempt to dry her makeup–laden face.

Josefin has previously applied one hundred layers of mascara to her lashes which leaves us wondering what her next 100 layer challenge will be.

If you're in the habit of sacrificing a made-up face for an extra ten minutes in bed in the morning, it might be worth noting that that very habit could be costing you a lot come pay day.

Yes as much as it sucks, a pair of American sociologists have found that physically attractive people generally tend to make more money than those of us who are only of "average" good looks.

According to Marie Claire, researchers Jaclyn Wong and Andrew Penner found that "attractive individuals earn roughly 20 percent more than people of average attractiveness”.

But before you get too upset and start blaming your financial woes on genetics, it might be worth noting that the study shows the relationship between good looks and income is reduced when grooming is controlled for – which basically means that by wearing makeup to work, you boost your chances of making more money.

While it was previously believed that women's looks have a greater effect on their pay check than men's, this study actually found that perceived attractiveness is of equal importance for men and women when it comes to their income.

The report states: “Further, while both conventional wisdom and previous research suggest the importance of attractiveness might vary by gender, we find no gender differences in the attractiveness gradient.”  Wohoo for equality!

Interestingly – and again stressing the value a bit of slap can have in the workplace – the researchers did note that while grooming can fully make up the looks-income gap for women, it can only fill in half the difference for men.

So next time the man in your life tells you make-up is a waste of money, you now have the info to put him straight.

If there’s one thing the Internet can’t stand it’s airbrushing, so you can imagine how much online hate stars like Selena Gomez get when they share their picture perfect selfies.

But a new Instagram post by Selena’s makeup artist Hung Vanngo has silenced her critics as it shows the star’s picture before and after it was retouched and, naturally enough, Selena looks totally flawless in both.

In the caption Hung wrote: “Instagram photo 101.  Here is an unedited & edited versions of an Instagram photo.”

He then used the hashtags “#brightness #contrast #warm #saturation #color #vignette #sharped…#TheSkyIsTheLimit #NowTheHatersCanChill” before finishing the post with a cheeky “Enjoy!”.

The only obvious difference between the two photos is that one is much brighter than the other proving that Selena’s hair, makeup and skin really are as perfect as they seem to be.

We love a good beauty transformation here at SHEmazing! so naturally we were excited to find talented Instagrammer Annelies Marie Francine who is exceptionally good at recreating old-school Hollywood looks.

The Belgian teen is currently studying history at the University of Leuven but as a self-described “girl with big dreams and a vivid imagination” she also has a major passion for make-up and vintage fashion.

To channel this love, 17-year-old Annelies transforms herself into a variety of Hollywood stars including Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh and Kiera Knightley, as well as Disney characters like Snow White and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

She told Seventeen: "I have always loved using makeup and hair to transform myself into other people and movie characters."

"A year ago I cut my hair into a pixie cut and people started telling me I looked like Audrey Hepburn. I wasn't very familiar with anything old Hollywood related at all, but when I looked her up I fell in love with the elegance of vintage silver-screen glamour!"

Don't bite the apple!  I love Snow White  #snowwhite #disneyprincess #disney #snowwhitecosplay #topvintagemodel
