Attending a glitzy fashion event last night, she arguably looked like any other tall, beautiful, wealthy teenager who has the privilege of being on the guest-list.

But 16-year-old Maya Thurman-Hawke is certainly not just another pretty face. For one, she is the daughter of Hollywood royalty Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

Secondly, she gets to wear spectacular dresses that aren't even released yet.

Clad in a stunning Zac Posen tulle gown from the designer’s 2016 resort collection, she was attending the CFDA Awards in New York’s Lincoln Centre – an annual event which marks excellence in American fashion – accompanied by the designer himself.

Zac had earlier in the evening taken to Instagram to share a video clip of 26-year-old Canadian model Coco Rocha recently shooting in the same item.

And just as Coco can be seen in the video moving from side-to-side to allow the full-effect of the dress to be appreciated, Maya gladly obliged last night, twirling for the waiting cameras.

The capped-sleeved number features a black fitted bodice and full petticoat which is covered with a transparent layer of lightly-beaded material adorned with a colourful floral motif.

Her parents, actors Uma and Ethan, married in 1998 two years after they met on the set of Gattaca.

As well as Maya, they have a 13-year-old son, Levon. The couple separated in 2003 amid allegations of Ethan’s infidelity and their divorce was finalised in August 2005.

He went on to marry Maya and Levon’s nanny, Ryan Shawhughes, and now has two more children with her: Clementine, who was born in 2008, and Indiana, who arrived in 2011.

Understandably, Ethan has had to defend the union, and said during a sit-down interview in 2013: “I know people imagine some kind of Sound Of Music type love affair, but the truth is by the time Ryan and I were falling in love, it had been a long while since I had employed her.”

Meanwhile, Maya is fast becoming something of a fashionista: she's walked the red-carpet before alongside her famous parents, and last summer she attended a Miu Miu resort show with her mother in Paris.
