Meghan Markle

The Duchess of Sussex has opened up about being a working mum during a royal engagement in South Africa.

Meghan, who welcomed her son, Archie on May 6 has been adjusting to life as a new mum, but her royal status doesn’t stop her from experiencing the same hurdles many of us face on this journey.

Meghan just returned to work this September after three months of maternity leave.

During their conversation, Meghan said that juggling motherhood and work life can be very tricky.

Emily Andrews reported, “We're only 5 months in right now. Being a working mum & travelling as well with a baby, it's a lot, but it's all so exciting.

“There are days when it’s a lot to juggle but then you meet someone, have an impact on them & it’s so rewarding,” the mum gushed.

Baby Archie made his first appearance on the Sussex royal tour this morning and he looked as cute as pie.

The Duchess of Sussex’s style is second to none. She has stunned in gorgeous Givenchy dresses, chic pant suits and stunning evening gowns, but it’s her casual outfits that always seem to win us over.

As a member of the royal family, Meghan obviously has to abide by certain fashion rules but she always manages to look effortless and today’s look is no different.

The outfit reminded many of Princess Diana’s iconic everyday style. It was her off-duty looks that made her one of the biggest style icons of our time and now it looks like her daughter-in-law is following in her shoes.

Jameela Jamil has stepped in to defend Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle against the cruel treatment by the British press regarding her usage of private planes to go on holiday last week.

Celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Pink, Elton John, and Meghan's best friend, Jessica Mulroney, have all blasted the media for degrading the Duchess consistently and unfairly.

The Good Place actress and activist Jameela Jamil has now had her say, pointing out that the reason why the royals take private planes is because of their assassination risk.

"Ugh. Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she’s black, and him for marrying a black woman and be done with it God dammit," she wrote on Twitter.

"Your bullying is so embarrassing and obvious. You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up.

"I will never forget reading an English sh*t rag, writing the words, “Meghan’s exotic DNA shall certainly THICKEN the royal blue blood line…” (bangs head against table and throws up in own mouth.)" Jamil added.

"ALSO, it’s not safe for us to be on the same planes as royals or presidents you absolute muppets. They are prime targets for kidnap and sometimes assassination. It’s in the interest of us civilians to not be endangered by proximity to people in such powerful positions."

You can have your chance to stay in a property beside Prince William and Kate Middleton's country house in west Norfolk, and it's cheaper than a one-bedroom flat in London.

The Sandringham Estate listing have one catch; tenants must be cat-free and vetted, instead of a first-come first-served basis.

The house next door to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in West Norfolk is up for rent for just £700 per month, as Metro reports

The property has a huge amount of green garden space and parking, but its famous neighbours will most likely be the main draw.

The website points out that they prefer to rent their properties to people who "live and work locally," though they'll consider "those moving to the area."

They have a very strict no cat policy, but dogs will be "considered". The area has only 29 houses and a population of roughly 63 people.

Amner Hall was a wedding gift to Prince William and Kate from The Queen, with about £1.5 million spent upgrading the mansion before they moved in.

Most of the homes in the village were lived in by those employed at Amner Hall and the Royal estate.

If you're interested in applying for the property and having William and Kate nearby, you can do so via the Sandringham Estate website.

Apparently, the two couples exchanged talk over life with newborn babies, which is just adorable. They're real people too, see?

Many of us will remember the Brit Awards acceptance video for Best International Group, in which Jay-Z and Beyoncé created in the Louvre with Meghan Markle as the Mona Lisa.

"In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas," the Instagram caption read. "Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy."

Jay Z then apparently offered the royal couple a parenting recommendation, saying; "The best advice I can give you, always find time for yourself," he said.

What a surreal meeting between two powerhouse couples, busy inspiring the entire world with their talents. What we would have done to have bagged a seat at that premiere…

Meghan Markle's huge diamond ring was the subject of scrutiny when it was announced that she and Prince Harry were to be wed.

And now two years down the road, the Duchess of Sussex has put her own touch to her ring, which includes two of late Princess Diana's diamonds.

He revealed why he chose it during the couple's first sit-down interview with the BBC after they announced their engagement.

He said, ''The ring is obviously yellow gold because that's [Meghan's] favourite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewellery collection, to make sure that she's with us on this crazy journey together.''

At Trooping the Colour, Meghan also debuted the eternity ring Prince Harry gifted her for the first wedding anniversary.

The British editor has been a long-standing fan of the Duchess. In an interview with The Evening Standard, he previously expressed his hope of her appearance in the magazine:

Meghan's editorial debut will also include an opinion piece and a list of female 'change-makers', who will pen personal essays within the iconic pages also.

Yesterday, the eyes and ears of the world were firmly rested on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and their new baby.

The couple debuted the first photos of their newborn, and shared the name at St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle.

Little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is clearly adored by his royal parents, and Meghan chose to wear a very special trench dress by rising biracial menswear designer Grace Wales Bonner for the occasion.

According to Richard Palmer, the dress is intended to show unity between the two families. The royal reporter described the momentous event as, "A day for the couple to introduce their son to the family as well as the waiting world."

"It’s also my personal opinion that this was a good day for Buckingham Palace after the shambles of day one which exasperated British and overseas media trying to cover the story."

Archie is the first baby of mixed race in the senior ranks of the royal family since the 18th century, and the style of his mother reflected this wonderful merging of two loving families of two nations.

Meghan always embodies symbolism within her fashion choices, and she has chosen to send a vitally important message about representation while showing her first born to the world.

The pair managed to step in front of the cameras just 48 hours after welcoming a new baby to the world, but Harry and Meghan managed it with glowing smiles. Meghan's sleeveless, double-breasted trench dress was immediately noticed.

British designer Grace Wales Bonner runs her own namesake brand, Wales Bonner, and has won prestigious awards for her menswear collections. She was raised in Southeast London and has a Jamaican father and English mother.

It speaks volumes that Markle chose a biracial designer for one of the biggest moments of her life.

Meghan paired the beautiful dress with Manolo Blahnik BB suede pumps, and a gold and turquoise necklace by Jennifer Meyer. Her diamond stud earrings completed the look.

Markle has previously expressed a passion for representing her own racial background, and has been open about her struggles as a mixed race woman;

"While my mixed heritage may have created a grey area surrounding my self-identification, keeping me with a foot on both sides of the fence, I have come to embrace that."

Bonner has also expressed her emotions about her identity struggles, telling The Guardian in 2017:

“At school, I had some pressure to prove my blackness. It takes you a while to work out being ‘this’ doesn’t mean that you have to be ‘that.’”

The designer continued, "I have to be between places, because that’s a creative space for me. I guess that is the foundation of what I am doing, a meeting point and collision of cultures."

Bonner is only in her late twenties but recently won the coveted FC/Vogue Fashion Fund, which awards a £200,000 prize to a rising talent.

Grace is renowned for her menswear designs, but is known as one of the UK's most celebrated young designers. She was also awarded the revered 'LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers' in 2016, and graduated from the esteemed fashion school Central Saint Martins.

Each fashion choice Meghan makes is surveyed by the masses, and there's no doubt that she is aware of the ripple effect of her style. The Duchess is reflecting the diversity which the British royals must now embrace.

Grace welcomes gender fluidity in her stunning collections, as she told GentleWoman: "I love it when a boy puts on one of the embroidered jackets that the women wore and doesn't know the difference- my work is about being open to interpretation."

Bonner references black culture consistently in her work and draws inspiration from Nigerian writer Ben Okri and artist James Hampton.

We have seen the tuxedo/trench style on the Duchess on the tour of New Zealand in 2018 with Prince Harry, where she sported a navy blue tuxedo-style dress by Kiwi designer Maggie Marilyn.

In another fashion moment, Meghan wore an iconic striped tuxedo dress design by Altuzarra in as she attended a reception for the Commonwealth Youth Forum last year.

Archie marks a new age for the monarchy, with Meghan bringing positivity and genuine compassion to the royal family. The baby is the first biracial British-American royal, and is seventh in line to the throne.

Keep up with her apparel selections, and you'll be in for a symbolic treat each time she debuts a new outfit.

The historic image of the six members of the British monarchy gazing fondly at Archie has been shared across the world on social media, and offers a hopeful message for diversity in the UK.
