The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child into the world today and the public are eager to find out their tiny tot’s name.

Prince Harry revealed that they will introduce their son on Wednesday, May 8.

The new dad told Sky News that they have yet to pick a name for their little boy, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. Some fans have been using a random name picker for possible names.

Harry and Meghan are expected to pick a traditional name for their son so it’ll come as no surprise to hear that the top three names predicted are James, Albert and Arthur.

Other popular predictions include Alexander, Louis and Philip.

However, the new parents are more likely to stray away from tradition and may opt for a non-traditional name like Oliver, Spencer and Robert.

We will just have to wait until Wednesday to see what name Harry and Meghan have chosen for their baby boy. There’s no doubt the family-of-three are enjoying every second together.

Meghan gave birth to their son in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.

They stated: “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.”

Prince Harry was present for the birth, and added that the couple are still thinking about names for their infant, who was delivered today at 05:26 BST.

Buckingham Palace stated that;

"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.

"The Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage."

The Duke of Sussex couldn't stop beaming as he delivered the news to the press, lavishing praise on his wife enduring the labour.

He added that the little one had been "a little overdue" and that he will be making another announcement in two days' time "so everyone can see the baby."

When quizzed on his experience in the delivery room, Harry smiled and said: "I haven't been at many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible, and, as I said, I'm so incredibly proud of my wife.

"As every father and parent will ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to-die-for, so I'm just over the moon."

Harry and Meghan's baby boy automatically acquired US citizenship via the former actress at birth, so is a dual citizen.

He is currently seventh in line to the throne, behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children, and Prince Harry. The infant is the Queen's eighth great-grandchild.

Prince Harry has rescheduled a planned trip to Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

The British royal was scheduled to fly to Amsterdam on May 8th in order to launch the one-year countdown to the 2020 Invictus Games – a sporting event for military veterans.

The trip has been postponed by one day, to May 9th, with fans of the royal family speculating that the decision has come due to Harry's wife Meghan Markle being due to give birth.

'Due to the logistical planning for the travelling press to cover visits and engagements by the Royal Family, we have taken the decision to postpone the Duke of Sussex's scheduled visit to Amsterdam,' reads an official palace statement to PEOPLE.

'The Duke is currently scheduled to travel to The Hague on Thursday 9th May for the launch of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 as planned.'

There is major global anticipation for the birth of the new royal, so this postponement has made many believe that the Duchess of Sussex is on the cusp of giving birth.

The couple have thus far kept the gender and due date a secret. along with maintaining privacy around their birth plans.

On April 11, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to let the nation know that they would not be immediately sharing their birth experience and details of the royal arrival.

‘Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,’ the statement declared.

‘The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.’

'The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.'

The bookies have some very traditional favourites when it comes to naming Baby Sussex – with Alice, Grace or Victoria favourited for a girl or James, Edward or Arthur for a boy. Diana and Grace are two less traditional royal lineage names that have found favour at the bookies, with Diana of course being the name of Prince Harry and Prince William's late mother, Diana The Princess of Wales.

Prince William and Kate Middleton paid tribute to Diana by choosing Diana as one of their second child, Princess Charlotte's middle names.

Whether it is her dislike for bloodsports or her fondness for breaking royal dress protocol, Meghan Markle has faced more scrutiny than any other royal spouse in recent memory.

The former actress has had every act dissected since she was first connected to her now husband, Prince Harry, and with the announcement of the couple’s first pregnancy, the fishbowl-like surveillance on Meghan’s every move increased ever further.

From critical articles claiming that Meghan has a vice-like control over her husband, leading to alleged distancing between Harry and his family, to accusations of animosity between Meghan and Kate Middleton, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge – Meghan has not been painted as a pleasant character by much of the media and the public.

Even George Clooney, a close friend to Meghan, told Who that Meghan ‘has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it’s history repeating itself,’ amid reports that he and wife Amal would be godparents to Baby Sussex.

Critique of the Duchess of Sussex has not eased off since the announcement of the conception of Baby Sussex, and so Meghan and Harry’s recent and somewhat controversial choice to keep their birth plan and child’s arrival a secret from the public is understandable.

So, unlike Kate and WIlliam’s three births, Meghan and Harry will not be descending the steps of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital with a new babe in arms following Meghan’s labour.

While it is true that the royal family has a duty to maintain a public image for those living under the monarchy, starting a family is a joyous concept that many of us reading this article has had the pleasure of experiencing – and having a baby is not a royal duty, nor a female duty, nor a wifely duty, it’s a cherished gift.

The apprehension, tension, excitement and often fear all culminating in the birth of a child, a love for whom you will share with your partner for as long as you both live, is overwhelming, and it seems unsurprising that Meghan may not want to culminate this sacred experience with a postpartum performance.

Even the beloved Princess Diana, Harry’s mum, admitted that ‘she had “felt the whole country was in labour’ with her, which is reflective of the level of surveillance placed on these women.

Juggling royal duty and the joy of motherhood cannot be easy (despite Kate making it look like an absolute dream), so perhaps Meghan knows that as her life, and by extension the life of her child, will be filled with public appearances, dutiful events and photo ops for eternity, she wants to keep a few cherished days or weeks with her baby to herself.

This longing for privacy doesn’t make her a ‘diva duchess’ or call for a ‘Mexit,’ it makes her a mum, a human, and displays the person she was before she traded her past life for one of public royal duty.

UK and global citizens alike may feel disappointment that they will not know immediately whether Baby Sussex is male or female, or how much they weighed at birth, or how the couple are feeling following Meghan’s labour, but the public will be privy to every detail of the child’s life from the moment Meghan and Harry go public onwards – and we need to accept that.

Labour and birth are difficult experiences, and Meghan’s reluctance to play a role once becoming a new mum is admirable – if the couple feel that some days of privacy are what is best for themselves and Baby Sussex, then who are we to parent-shame them for doing so?

With Doria Ragland’s arrival in the UK signifying that Meghan is soon due to give birth, we can only wait in hope that Baby Sussex has a safe arrival, and rejoice with the new parents when they feel comfortable enough to share their news with the world.

It is believed Meghan and Harry hired designers Vicky Charles and Julia Corden of Charles and Co. to refurbish their home.

The 10 bedroom house has been turned into a lavish family home. It features a nursery and even has space for a yoga studio and a gym.

The plans for the house included two conservatory extensions, extensive landscaping, permission for a bedroom to be built above a studio on the property, and a few new fireplaces.

The parents-to-be even had a £50,000 green energy unit installed in the eco-friendly pad.

The property is extremely special to the royal couple. Not only will it be their first family home, but they also held their private evening wedding party and shot their engagement photos at Frogmore Cottage.

There’s no doubt Harry and Meghan are overjoyed to have settled in at their new home in Windsor.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to welcome her first child soon and is already asking some talented names to teach her little one some skills.

And one of them is Sir Elton John.

Sir Elton played four songs at Harry and Meghan’s reception in May 2018 after which the prince joked, ''Does anyone here know how to play the piano?”

The 72-year-old was a close friend of Harry's mum Princess Diana and performed a tribute version of Candle in the Wind at her funeral in 1997.

He has also worked with Harry for numerous charities, particularly on HIV.

We can't wait to see how baby Sussex will take to the piano but with a teacher like Elton, they have the greatest teacher of all.

Stop the world, we're getting off. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have once again proven how iconic and culture-shaping they are by putting a painting of Queen Meghan Markle behind them, and now it's for SALE in poster format.

The Carters won the Best International Group gong at The Brit Awards over the weekend, and paid tribute to the Duchess of Sussex herself in an ode to their incredible APESH**T music video in the Louvre.

Captioning the unreal video, Beyoncé wrote;

"Thank you to the Brits for the award for Best International Group. I won this award back in 2002 with my besties, Kelly and Michelle." Destiny's Child is for life, it's not a phase, mom.

"How lucky am I to have been in a group with my other best friend, the GOAT Hova. In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy," she concluded.

Well, all other artwork is now irrelevant. The Renaissance is CANCELLED. The Louvre is to be shut down, except for this one painting that precedes all others. Picasso never happened. It's only Meghan Mona Lisa that matters.

Prolific artist Tim O'Brien is the man behind the amazing painting, and has done some amazing works to represent American politics and culture.

O'Brien works as a professor at the Pratt Institute and is one of the world's most famous illustrator, having covering Time magazine over and over again.

Every wall can now be dedicated to the Duchess yourself, because these posters are for sale. If you have $100, that is. If you're a rich b*tch, we HIGHLY recommend purchasing this rare art form.

O'Brien's website has loads of unreal work up for sale as prints, and even has a Beyoncé feature in Elizabethan garb, reminiscent of her Mrs. Carter world tour announcement. It's $85: Worth it.
