Zoe Sugg might be the most successful YouTuber in the biz but that doesn't mean she's immune to mental heath problems.

The 28-year-old, who has more than eleven million subscribers and more than ten million Instagram followers, has proved that not matter how amazing your life looks on social media, that it is rarely the case.

She took  to Instagram to upload a picture of herself smiling in a cafe.

Zoe has spoken before about how she struggles with social media and the impact that it has on her mental health.

She said, ''I spoke a bit last year about the pressure, expectation and fear of posting that I have often experienced throughout my decade of sharing, but now more than ever, I second guess a lot of things I say or post.''

She continued, ''I also know that SO many of you do the same thing (regardless of follower count) and you can end up feeling a little suffocated and disconnected.”

Alongside Prada and Gucci's blackface scandals, major fashion brands have recently come under fire for making some major PC-related errors.

Burberry is the latest company to be added to this list of elite couture scandals, after their autumn/winter collection at London Fashion Week featured a hoodie with strings resembling a noose.

Liz Kennedy, turned to Instagram to illustrate her anger and disturbance after she was fitted wearing the hoodie, as suicide touches a personal nerve for her.

"Suicide is not fashion. It is not glamorous nor edgy and since this show is dedicated to the youth expressing their voice, here I go. Riccardo Tisci and everyone at Burberry: it is beyond me how you could let a look resembling a noose hanging from a neck out on the runway," she wrote.

She stated that the Burberry team "briefly hung one from the ceiling (trying to figure out the knot) and were laughing about it in the dressing room. I had asked to speak to someone about it but the only thing I was told to do was to write a letter."

According to Fortune, Marco Gobbetti, Burberry chief executive officer, said;

"We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by one of the products that featured in our A/W 2019 runway collection. I called Ms. Kennedy to apologise as soon as I became aware of this on Monday and we immediately removed the product and all images that featured it."

He continued, "Though the design was inspired by the marine theme that ran throughout the collection, it was insensitive and we made a mistake."

The fashion faux pas follows Gucci's debut of a $890 balaclava sweater that evoked blackface images earlier this month.

Liz Kennedy also mentioned the impressionable young women who would see the noose hoodie;

"How could anyone overlook this and think it would be okay to do this especially in a line dedicated to young girls and youth. The impressionable youth. Not to mention the rising suicide rates world wide. Let’s not forget about the horrifying history of lynching either."

Kennedy also claims that she attempted to speak to someone about it, but was brushed off;

"I had a brief conversation with someone but all that it entailed was “it’s fashion. Nobody cares about what’s going on in your personal life so just keep it to yourself” well I’m sorry but this is an issue bigger than myself."

"The issue is not about me being upset, there is a bigger picture here of what fashion turns a blind eye to or does to gain publicity. A look so ignorantly put together and a situation so poorly handled. I am ashamed to have been apart of the show. #burberry."

In an updated post, Kennedy wrote;

"My family and I were recently impacted by suicide so I know how devastating it is when someone you love decides to take their life. I’m not someone who is easily offended or triggered but I knew by the way this piece effected me, it would do the same to many others."

She continued, referencing Marco Gobbetti, Burberry's chief executive;

"I think the response by Burberry and their team since then is commendable. I believe this is a learning moment and they will think about these things more in-depth moving forward."

The model bravely spoke out about the incident, and the brand has responded. It just goes to show that fashion isn't completely rigid, and it's valuable to call them out on their mistakes.

"The positive that has come out of this is a reminder of the power of one voice, and the good that can be done when brands are held accountable."

Her post came the day after she wished her boyfriend and fellow Riverdale star Cole Sprouse a happy Valentine's Day; "You make me very happy. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love."

Sprouse himself has gotten candid about his normally-private romance with his beautiful co-star in GQ Magazine.

"It's not something that we hide, or it's not something that we show off," he simply said. "It's just something that exists."

Reinhart told ET in October that she wanted to show a realistic portrayal of her life.

“I try to be open because I'm not putting on a show,” she said. “I'm not trying to look perfect… my life in general is not extremely glamorous. I do a lot of really cool and glamorous things, but that's not my day to day."

"I like to show off myself as being in my natural habitat, which is pretty much just in my bed, eating," she said.

We truly appreciate her honesty and self-care PSAs; we all need time to ourselves, and mental health should always be a priority.

Pieta House has announced a new fundraising initiative aimed at corporates, businesses and SME’s to refocus their love and save ‘A Life A Day’ by donating €1,000 this Valentine’s Day.

Last year in Ireland, more than a life a day was lost to suicide and Pieta House is now calling on companies to donate €1,000 to reduce this number one day at a time. By sponsoring a life for €1,000, companies will fund a full counselling programme for one vulnerable individual suffering from feelings of hopelessness or despair.

Year on year, corporate gifting with flowers, chocolates and jewellery has increased nationwide so instead of dwelling on material items, Pieta House wants to refocus the love and kick-start the new fundraising initiative for ‘A Life A Day’ on what’s traditionally known as the most caring day of the year.

Over the course of a year, Pieta House is aiming to raise €1,000 from 365 companies to reach their target of €365,000 to save a life a day.

Speaking about the new initiative, Kieran Brady, Director of Funding & Advocacy in Pieta House, said; “We’re extremely passionate about life-saving work here in Pieta House and we rely heavily on our volunteers, friends and fellow organisations to support and encourage initiatives such as ‘A Life A Day’.

“According to official statistics from the CSO, more than 392 lives were lost to suicide in 2017, a figure which relates to more than one life a day. The average age of a Pieta House service user is under 30 so we’re calling on corporates, businesses and SME’s to be proactive and protect the wellbeing of their employees by supporting the fight against suicide. Since it was established in 2006 to provide free and accessible, professional services to people who are in suicidal crisis or who are self-harming, Pieta House has worked with over 44,000 people, and has become one of Ireland’s leading charitable organisations in today’s society where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced with self-care, hope and acceptance.

Pieta House, which started as a small, Dublin-based charity, now employs over 270 therapists and administrative staff nationwide and has 15 centres across the country.

In 2018 alone, over 7,400 people came through its doors. From day one, all of the services it provides have been offered completely free of charge.

Lady Gaga and her fiancé Christian Carino have been sighted at numerous high profile events together, looking VERY much in love.

However, fans are concerned after her recent Grammy appearance on Sunday that Gaga has called off her engagement, after being seen without her ring or Christian on her arm.

Fans have been keeping an eye on the A Star Is Born actress' left hand since her and Bradley Cooper sang Shallow together at her Vegas residency on January 26 without her ring. It was back on her finger on February 4 at the Oscars lunch.

It's safe to say they're a little… overwhelmed… at the thought of a single or heartbroken Gaga.

To be fair to Gaga, that pink diamond ring is absolutely MAHOOSIVE, so you can forgive her for taking it off every now and again. Pink also doesn't match with everything. 

Gaga has nine Grammys, so maybe didn't feel the need to bring her man to the event. However, he does normally make an appearance inside them, but he was nowhere to be seen on Sunday.

She also didn't mention Christian in her speech, she spoke more about a film which tackles mental health issues.

That's totally fair, she's allowed to talk about whatever she wants, but we are a TAD surprised that he had zero presence.

One eagle-eyed fan noticed that she isn't following Christian on social media anymore, so that ain't good. Yet he 'grammed a photo of her only a week ago:

"Beneath the make-up and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world," he captioned it, using a Marilyn Monroe reference.

The rumours are becoming even more frantic… they seem so in love so why would they break all of our hearts?

We really hope they're still happy together; what do you think about the whole debacle? Is Gaga single again?

Her little monsters will be ready to catch her if she falls, those fans are DEDICATED to Mama Monster, that's for sure.

Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan has revealed to Oprah Winfrey during a SuperSoul Conversation toping that he went to therapy after playing Killmonger.

The 31-year-old opened up about how he spent 'a lot of time alone; before and during filming the Oscar-nominated Marvel flick, and admitted that he found it 'tough to readjust to people caring about me".

He described his character's solitary and angry upbringing after the murder of his father;

"He didn’t have a lot of people he could talk to about this place called Wakanda that didn’t exist,’ he added. "It was a little tough for me at first. Readjusting to people caring about me, getting that love that I shut out. I shut out love, I didn’t want love."

He described how therapy helped him to progress past those feelings, and called on men to remember it’s more than okay to do so.

"Your mind is so powerful. Your mind will get your body past a threshold that it would have given up on way before,’" he said. "Honestly, therapy, just talking to somebody just helped me out a lot. Michael's character is presumed to be dead, but a body was never recovered, leaving that spot open for a sequel return.

The film has become a hugely important cultural milestone for cinema, with the cast winning outstanding performance in a motion picture at the SAG Awards.

 Chadwick Boseman, who plays Black Panther, delivered a rousing acceptance speech expressing the value of being "young, gifted and black";

 "We all know what it’s like to be told that there is not a place for you to be featured, yet you are young, gifted and black. ‘We know what it’s like to be told there’s not a screen for you to be featured on, a stage for you to be featured on." 

The 41-year-old concluded;

"We knew that we had something special that we wanted to give the world, that we could be full human beings in the roles that we were playing, that we could create a world that exemplified a world that we wanted to see."

Kendall Jenner has opened up to Allure about her self-esteem issues surrounding her acne and skincare routine since she was 14-years-old.

She only revealed to the world last month that she is a long-time sufferer of the skin condition which plagues mainly young teens around the world.

Taking to Instagram back in January, she wrote to her fans; "While there are much bigger problems happening in the world, suffering from acne for me was debilitating. She continued; "As humans, I don’t think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time where being “perfect” is the standard. We curate our life online and pick the pretty moments to post. I’d like to show a younger generation that not everything is perfect."

Jenner's goal is to create a conversation surrounding image and insecurity; "I didn’t think I’d see the day where I would feel confident posting a makeup free picture. My goal is to open up a dialogue around skin positivity.

She revealed more about her young life to Allure;

"I've always struggled with a bit of acne since I was around 14. It killed a lot of self-esteem and I had to really work past that." She is also a person who detests when her pimples are pointed out to her, as we all are.

A break-out at the Golden Globes caused her endless stress, saying, "I was feeling good about myself, and then when people say mean things I'm like, 'I know I have a zit. I know I'm breaking out. Those people are legit the worst. Rude, much?

She admitted; 

"I have cried endlessly for days because of things people have said to me, and I've had to become stronger through it. I mean, don't get me wrong: I am not superhuman. I definitely feel, and the things people say online are very hurtful."

We're happy for her that she's found a great skincare routine that works for her, and is starting the conversation. Young women are under such pressure to look picture perfect 24 hours a day.

One of the UK's most senior doctors, Professor Stephen Powis, has written in The Telegraph that weight loss advertisements which are celebrity-endorsed should be banned.

Professor Powis is currently the NHS' medical director, and has criticised well-known celebrities such as the Kardashians for promoting weight-loss products and aids such as teas, shakes and pills on social media, and has even called for Instagram to oppose them.

The doctor referenced the troubling statistic that more than one in 10 young people are affected by mental health issues in the UK, and are heavily influenced by body insecurity and famous faces encouraging them to lose weight.

He emphasised that mental health issues are one of the "most pressing issues facing out country".

SHEmazing recently wrote about the level of profit which people like the Kardashians can gain from the insecurity of their fans. 

Poor messaging can lead to dangerous consequences, and numerous organisations such as the National Eating Disorder Association have branded the Kardashian family’s representation of weight loss products as ‘triggering’ for those who struggle with eating disorders.

A shocking HALF of young girls say that they feel under pressure to lose weight, the doctor says that social media's ascension has escalated this pressure and both celebrities and the platforms themselves must take responsibility for their posts.

"Our young people are bombarded with ideas, images and advertising which set such a high bar for what they should feel and look like," he writes. "And yet there is little accountability for the impact this has.

"Where celebrities and the platforms which promote them exploit this vulnerability by pushing products like laxative teas, diet pills and other get-thin-quick solutions, they are taking the health of our young people in their hands and should act with far greater responsibility."

Activist and actress Jameela Jamil tweeted her support for Professor Powis:

Prof. Powis also suggested that practical measures should be taken to stamp out the 'exploitation' of youth, such as online platforms "banning adverts for products with a known health risk". YAS KING.

He argued that the NHS is working on understanding and treating mental health conditions in young people;

"Everyone, especially those engaging with young people like social media firms, and celebrities who profit from them, have a duty of care to do more for our health and wellbeing".

"The NHS can't keep putting out fires if some parts of society keep lighting matches," he concluded, using a pretty effective allegory. 

Kim Kardashian West has an especially long history of promoting weight loss products on social media, as well as her sisters, Kylie and Kourtney. Kim faced backlash in May for promoting appetite suppressant lollipops on her Instagram.

One of the world's most powerful women was literally telling other women and young girls NOT TO EAT.  The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil founded the i Weigh body positivity social media movement and Kardashian West "a terrible and toxic influence on young girls".

Jamil has consistently called out celebrities including Cardi B and Iggy Azalea for promoting 'detox' teas, claiming they're just selling digestion problems instead.

She also called Kardashian 'an agent of the patriarchy', for her incessant need to 'recycle self-hatred.'

Jamil herself experienced an eating disorder as a teenager, and skipped meals for years at a time. She spent money on "miracle cures and laxatives and tips from celebrities" which later left her with "digestion and metabolism problems for life".

The Competition and Markets Authority has announced a clampdown on celebrities who don't label their posts as promotional advertisements, but solid rules aren't in place.

NHS England's national mental health director Claire Murdoch expressed concern over the influence which these celebrities have young people at an "impressionable" stage in their lives.

"Both the celebrities themselves and these social media companies themselves should be more responsible," she told BBC Breakfast.

We're so glad the NSH are finally using their influential platform to steer people in the right direction. Time will tell what type of future diet fads will hold, but they're looking highly unpopular right now.

The critically-acclaimed and fan favourite Netflix series Sex Education has won the heart of every single viewer, for it's hilarious script, lovable (complex) characters and important themes.

The iconic show touches on everything from sex, consent, homosexuality, prejudice, mental health, gender identity, abortion rights and racism. Somehow, they also made it funny, with beautiful acting. HOW?

That's right lads, Sex Education is coming BACK for a second season, after leaving us on a major cliffhanger at the end of season one.

Creator of the show Laurie Nunn will return alongside executive producer Jamie Campbell. The first season achieved popular acclaim for it's poignant treatment of relationships and identity, we're OBSESSED with Otis' sex therapist mum.

Gillian Anderson is a certified boss.

We love the intersectional appeal of the show. I mean, a jock reading Virginia Woolf, and liking it? That's some revolutionary sh*t right there.

Multidimensional characters in a teen show can be hard to come by, but this cast has delivered it with heart.

Series creator Laurie Nunn said,

“The reception to series one has been so exciting. Seeing how people across the world have connected to characters that began as ideas in my head is incredible. I’m hugely grateful to every person that has taken the time to watch the series, and I can’t wait to continue this amazing journey.”

We've all experienced the highs and lows of Facebook, but recently it seems like the lows are endless.

From controversy surrounding Mark Zuckerberg, reports of paying children for labour to eavesdrop on conversations and using our own data for the company's agenda, it seems like the drama ain't worth the effort.

Now, researchers at New York University and Stanford University are saying that deactivating Facebook for just FOUR WEEKS can lead to a big improvement in people's mental health.

The researchers focused their study on the impact of quitting the social network on their mental health and behaviour.

The Welfare Effects of Social Media took place in the lead-up to the 2018 midterm elections in the US and 2,844 users took part in the study. The participants used the platform for over 15 minutes per day.

When the candidates deactivated their Facebook accounts, there was a noticeable increase in offline activities, like socialising with friends and family members.

Their well-being was also boosted, but the people involved were less informed about current events.

Researchers also discovered that anyone who deactivated their Facebook accounts were more likely to see a consistent reduction in their use of the social media app after the experiment concluded.

The authors wrote; "Our study offers the largest-scale experimental evidence available to date on the way Facebook affects a range of individual and social welfare measures,"

"Deactivation caused people to appreciate Facebook’s both positive and negative impacts on their lives," they said.

In a statement to The Washington Post a spokesperson for Facebook said its teams are working on creating meaningful connections across its platform. "This is one study of many on this topic and is should be considered that way," they said

Between busy careers, active social lives, and all the responsibilities life throws our way,  it can be easy to forget what really matters the most – yourself. 

At this stage we're all well caught on the importance of self-love and it's effect on our mental health, but in today's world, taking time out to focus on ourselves is easier said than done. 

So, in celebration of Blue Monday, we've compiled a list of 8 simple, and totally do-able things everyone can do for themselves on a daily basis. 

1. Forgive yourself, and others too

Nobody is perfect. Not you, not me, not anyone – and the sooner we realise this, the better.

Whether it's a missed email, a forgotten birthday or text sent to the exact person you didn't want to read it, just remember, mistakes happen. 

Don't sweat the small stuff. 

2. Get up 10 minutes earlier

It's amazing how far an extra 10 minutes can go when it comes to your morning routine.

Indulge in an extra long shower, plan your day over a warm coffee, or simply catch an earlier bus. 

Whatever you choose, you'll start your day as the calm, collected and punctual individual who always knew you could be.

3. Mark at least one thing off your do-to list

Book that doctor's appointment, send that letter, clean your car (for real this time). 

Sure, they may not be the most exciting tasks in the world, but you'll feel so much better when they're done and dusted.

Make it your mission to complete at least one thing on your list each day and you'll be surprised how quickly everything will fall into place.

4. Make time to meditate

With so many great apps and podcasts available nowadays, there has never been a better time to indulge in this ancient practice.  

Simply taking some time out of your busy day to focus on yourself can do wonders for your body and mind – meaning meditation is a habit that's definitely worth forming. 

5. Try a new recipe

Whether it's a Gordon Ramsay classic, or your own wonderful creation, spending time experimenting with flavours and ingredients can actually be quite therapeutic after a long day.

Not to mention the feeling of pure and utter satisfaction you'll get when discover your new go-to dinner party dish. 

6. Re-watch an episode of your favourite show

It's almost like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen in a while. 

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reminisce about old times – and you can do it all from the comfort of your own bed. 

7. Don't put things off

If it can be done in less than five minutes – just do it right now. 

It can be hard to switch off when you can't stop thinking about the mug that's been sitting in your room since yesterday evening. 

8. Reach out to someone you haven't spoken to in a while

Whether it's an old friend who moved away, the cousin you only see at Christmas, or even your own mother, a quick "how're you getting on?" phone call could be just the thing you need when you're not feeling yourself. 

Chances are they'll appreciate the long over-due catch up just as much as you do.
