So, we all know Halloween is a total free-for-all.

Wearing a bin liner all weekend? Go for it. Rocking a bikini for the night? Good woman, yourself. Dressed as a wheelie bin until November 1st? Sure, no better man.

Unfortunately for Michelle Keegan, she never got the memo, and in a move which has infuriated Twitter users, the actress decided to shame women who opt for a skimpy costume.

"Halloween… For the people who dress up in underwear and throw blood on themselves and think it's ok… It's not!" the actress wrote in a post this weekend.

Wasting no time calling the star out on her supposed hypocrisy, Michelle's followers asked her to justify her comment considering the fact she's wearing a bikini in her profile picture.

"Smh at you and your hypocrisy I mean look at your profile picture? Let people do what tf they want if it isn't hurting," insisted one.

"Dumbest tweet ever… Look up hypocrite or research what Halloween is," advised another.

Highlighting Michelle's supposed lack of support for the sisterhood, one Twitter user asked: "Sorry but when did you write the rules? Girls can do and wear what they want without being shamed."

Well, that went down well, Michelle.
