There are some Instagram accounts which make us want to literally climb inside our computers and set up home, and Created and Found is definitely up there.

The brainchild of Jette Virdi, the account showcases a range of contemporary Irish-made homeware and lifestyle products which actually has us lusting after chopping boards and wooden spoons

(And as the children of Irish Mammies, it's not often we find ourselves fantasising over a life filled with little more than wooden spoons.)

Speaking of mammies, with Mother's Day fast approaching, Created and Found could be right up your street if your mam is obsessed with all things lifestyle-related.

And if she's not? Well, more for you.

From ceramics and sundries to wood and linen, this site has us imagining the beautifully decorated home we have yet to get our hands on.

Oh, and if you do decide to gift your mum with something from Created and Found before March 20, the good folk behind the range will throw in a surprise free gift.

It was a total shocker last week when Blac Chyna announced her pregnancy, that we hardly even believed it.

Many took to social media to fill the Internet with theories of revenge, and while some of them were very funny, it seems that we're the only ones laughing since Rob sent out a very serious and heartfelt message to his baby mama-to-be.

Celebrating Mother's Day over in the US, Rob took to Instagram to share messages about nearly all the women in his life.

He wrote about Kim, Kourtney, Kris and his grandmother MJ in four separate posts.

We can't even tell what's going on in this family anymore. Do they love each other? Hate each other? Who knows…?

We have no doubt the Victoria Beckham will be spoilt rotten this morning, with her four children and dashing hubby David there to give her presents.

But the designer took a bit of time out to thank her own mother for always being an inspiration today.

Victoria took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of her mam and herself when she was a tiny little baby.

In the caption, Vicky wrote: "Happy Mothers Day. You inspire me every day and I love you so much."

David also decided to praise his mother with a throwback snap. He looks like his youngest son Cruz in this photo, but before you start ohhing and ahhing, wait until you read his caption.

"Happy Mother's Day mum… You have been my number one fan from day one but more importantly your support , honesty , and tireless love for not just me and my sisters but for your grand kids which really shows the type of person you are … Amazingly generous .. Thank you for being my mum."

Meanwhile, David also shared the cutest post to honour Victoria on this special day. Taking a black and white photo of their four children picking flowers, David captioned the photo: "17 years ago our brood started and these little ones have the most amazing mummy that they love so much.

"And I love her for many reasons but the main one is because she gave me the most amazing children … Happy mama's day as the little ones would say."

If you've ventured into your local supermarket recently, then you probably have a fair idea that Mother's Day is approaching, given the large volume of Milk Tray and floral bouquets strategically placed right inside the front entrance.

But just in case that fact had passed you by, we've come up with a few last minute – and decidedly non-cheesy – things to do with your mam this weekend.

Baking, culture, cocktails… you're bound to find something on this list she'll love. And if all else fails, you know where to go to get a cheap bouquet.

1. Baking Masterclass at Le Pain Quotidien
Book yourself and your mam in for an afternoon of eating and baking at Le Pain Quotidien in Kildare Village, where they're running two-hour masterclasses on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's attendees will whip up hot cross buns and speculoos cookies, while Sunday's group will keep things cleaner with raw vegan chocolate cake and five-seeded bread.

You'll be served up canapés during the workshop, plus you can bring home the fruits of your labour along with a special (edible) gift.

Cost is €50 per person. Contact Le Pain Quotidien at Kildare Village on 045 499190 to reserve your space (essential).

2. Women Of Notes/Mná Na Notaí at Thirty Four Lennox St
A photography and prose exhibition featuring some of Ireland's most successful female musicians launches at Thirty Four Lennox St this Saturday, to coincide with International Women's Day. See images of artists like Mary Black, Lisa Hannigan, MayKay, Choice Prize winner SOAK, Heathers and more, all photographed by Ruth Medjber and interviewed by journalist Louise Bruton.

This is the first part of what Ruth and Louise hope will be an ongoing series documenting some of the fiercest and most hard-working women in the Irish music industry.

The launch kicks off this Saturday March 5 at 1pm at Thirty Four Lennox St, Dublin 2. More information here.

3. Pop-up portraits and sketching at Arnotts
Yes, it might seem like a bit of a cop-out to drag your mum out shopping, but Arnotts have a whole heap of (mainly free) Mother's Day events this weekend that will make the trip more than worthwhile.

On Saturday there'll be a pop-up photography studio in-store for that perfect mum-and-daughter snap, while sketch artist Conor Merriman will be on the first floor for a more unorthodox family portrait. Plus mums can grab a complimentary facial, makeover or arm massage at one of the many beauty counters over the weekend.

4. VHI Lust For Life 5k/10k Walk/Run at the Phoenix Park
Kick off your Mother's Day weekend with some fitness down at the Phoenix Park, where over 4,000 people are expected to take part in the Lust For Life walk/run in aid of mental health charity Aware. Even if you're not taking part, head down to cheer the runners on and enjoy the buzz.

More information can be found here.

5. A Very Peculiar Afternoon Tea at The Westin
If you can't get a space for this weekend, we highly recommend booking this in as an IOU. Baked Alice In Wonderland-themed treats, sambos and Hendricks gin cocktails all served up in the gorgeous surroundings of The Atrium Lounge at The Westin. Perfection.

Cost is €34 per person. To book call +353 (0)1 645 1324 or email theatrium@thewestindublin.com.

2. The failsafe
Irish mammies love tea. It’s a scientific fact. This card is perfect for any Mam, from Cork to Belfast. Make her an actual cup of tea (and get some good biscuits) for extra brownie points.

3. Taken for granted
We all do it. ADMIT IT – we take our lovely Mammies for granted. Whether it’s bringing home a load of laundry at the weekend when you’ve got a fully functional washing machine or shneaking a few extra bits in the shopping trolley. Hopefully she’ll see the subliminal message behind this gas card from Rob Stears.

Find it here.

4. MAAAAAAAM
MAM. MAM. MAAAAAAAM. MAMMY. You’d feel sorry for your mother having to endure 18 years of you shouting when you can’t find your top/swimming goggles/car keys. Remind her of the good ol’ days…

Available here.

7. Sound as a pound
We want to buy this card in bulk and use it whenever the occasion befits it. After all, who wouldn’t like to hear that they’re pure sound?

Buy it here.

8. Not a notion in sight
‘Tis far from prosecco brunches we were raised, and while we do enjoy the odd mimosa of a Sunday, at least we know what’s what underneath it all. Thanks mam.

Mother's Day is fast approaching, so before you have a meltdown on Saturday evening and panic-buy seven Terry's Chocolate Oranges and a bunch of roses, take a few moments to check out our gift guide.

We've rounded up our fave mum-appropriate pressies for 2016 – things your mum will actually use rather than just relegating to the back of the bathroom cupboard. Promise!

Here goes…

1. A relaxed evening in
Wine, truffles and natural soy candles… talk about luxury. We love this Hampers & Co gift set – find other varieties on their site too, and use the code MUM16 for a 15% discount.

Candle Light Evenings Set, €44, Hampers & Co

2. The perfect night cream
If your mum has sensitive skin or hates overloading with heavily scented products, treat her to some TLC with La Roche Posay's repairing and soothing night cream, Toleraine Ultra Overnight. The Toleraine range is specifically designed for skin that gets dry and tight.

La Roche Posay Toleraine Ultra Overnight, €18.50, pharmacies nationwide

3. Brilliant basics
It might be springtime, but the weather is as wintry as ever, so keep your mum's skin protected from the harsh cold with a Vitamin E boost from The Body Shop. We LOVE the presentation of this simple but spot-on gift set.

Vitamin E Gift Set, €37, The Body Shop

4. A cuppa with a difference
If your mum has a sweet tooth, get her something different than the usual box of chocolates. This Love Bug hot chocolate gift set comes with a teeny grater (for grating chocolate on top, doncha know) and a whisk for frothing. Pair this with a luxury bar of dark chocolate and you're good to go.

Teatime Gift Set, €5.49, Aldi

5. Some arm candy
Jewellery can be a risky gift for mums unless you REALLY know her taste. So keep things safe with this Mother's Day offering from Swatch, which is a twist on the traditional 'flowers for mum' gift idea. Rather than a bouquet, present your mum with this pink Swatch featuring a beautiful rose on the silver dial.

Swatch Only For You Mother's Day Watch, €75, Swatch stores (Grafton St, Arnotts, Dublin Airport)

6. An all over body treatment
While face moisturisers are always packed with top-end ingredients, body creams can sometimes fall short of the mark. That's why we love Vichy's Ideal Body range, full of active ingredients traditionally used in face care, such as hyaluronic acid and a host of luxurious oils. The result? Firmer, smoother and more radiant skin.

Vichy Ideal Body Balm, €22, pharmacies nationwide

7. A touch of sparkle
We love the simple, classic lines of this Newbridge Silverware tealight holder, perfect for cosy evenings by the fire, or even a relaxing candlelit bath.

Tealight Holder (includes three tealights), €45, Newbridge Silverware

8. An uber-glam wallet
This J By Jasper Conran pink and cream wallet is the ultimate spring accessory – if you can bear to give it away!

TayTay is well known for her kind and loving nature, she often reaches out and offers advice to Swifties in need and this is one of our favourite things about her.

The singer has done it again in a very moving Tumblr post to support a heartbroken girl on Mother's Day.

A fan called Kaileen wrote to Taylor telling her about her beloved mother, how "she's in heaven" and how hard it is at the moment because her mum was her best friend, Taylor then responded with an emotional piece about how losing her own mother is her worst fear and telling Kaileen that she is sending her a hug during this difficult time.

This comes after the recent news that Taylor's own mother, Andrea, is battling cancer. Taylor expressed her sadness to her loyal followers on Tumblr last month by writing: "I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer.”

This will no doubt be a big struggle for Taylor as she tries to focus on her 1989 world tour, without her mum being there for all of her shows.

We adore how supportive Taylor is of all of her fans, we love that girl too much.

Our thoughts are with Kaileen and Taylor during these tough times.

Kris Jenner was expressing her love for her famous children on Instagram over the weekend to celebrate Mother's Day.

However, as much as she seemed to speak about her equal love for all of her children, we think Kendall and Kylie may be the favourites for this year.

She began by posting a picture of a bouquet of flowers and then proceeded to make everyone super jealous, even those of us who aren't mothers… and no, we aren't talking about the fancy staircase or sparkling floors, but rather the giant collection of balloons expressing how much Kris is loved.

Woah!

Kris captioned the photo "And then THIS arrives!!!!!!!!!! Whoa!!!!! Thank you @kendalljenner @kyliejenner !!! I love you both so much #ikindofhavethebestkidsintheworld #loved #overwhelmed #family #blessed."

The photos didn't stop there, Kris continued to dedicate posts to Scott Disick and Kanye West, spoke about being a grandmother, and posted two photos back to when the Kardashian/Jenner gals were little, awww!

Kris is one very lucky woman.

Now where can we get ourselves this many balloons?

Eva Mendes has made the decision not to celebrate Mother's day this year, despite the fact that she welcomed her first child, Esmeralda, with Ryan Gosling in September.

Eva spoke to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover: "There is no plan. I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way. My daughter is 7 months."

She has taken the decision to focus on her own mother for the day, rather than herself.

"This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom. She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her," she said.

She then added: "We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love."

Mendes also went on to say how she loves it when mothers dress like their daughters: "It's so sweet to me. My mother was always one of those mothers that dressed me like my sisters. Like exactly alike — and there's a huge age gap!" she said. "My poor sisters were 8 and 9 years older than me and dressing like a 5-year-old."

We wonder if she will do the same with Esmeralda if her and Ryan decide to have another baby.

Esmeralda is the couples first child. They have been together since 2011.

If you're still struggling to think of a Mother's Day gift idea for your mum, or if you just want to treat her to a day out soon, why not try a spot of afternoon tea?

It's got that little extra special touch over a normal restaurant lunch – and you don't have to stick to just tea, of course!

Here are some of our favourite places around Ireland for a girly afternoon…

Dublin
The Atrium Lounge at The Westin

Try their traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, cake and loose lea tea for €28pp, or have some fun with their Most Peculiar Aftertoon Tea for €30pp, a Alice in Wonderland-style menu which includes a "Victorian mojito" in a teapot. Fancy or what?!

Cork
Hayfield Manor

You can choose to be served in the hotel's bright lobby area or in the elegant drawing room, with an afternoon tea including tea, sandwiches, cakes and homemade chocolates for €27pp, or for €39pp with a glass of Champagne.

Galway
The g Hotel

This boutique hotel offers afternoon tea in true style, with an assortment of sweet treats, sandwiches and tea for €26 (€42 for two people), or the above with a glass of pink Champagne for €37 (€59 for two).

Limerick
Adare Manor

The old Dunraven family home is now a stunning hotel, offering an elegant afternoon tea for €28.50pp (vegetarian option available) or €37.50pp with a glass of Prosecco or Prosecco Rosé.

Belfast
Titanic Suite at Titanic Belfast

Enjoy live jazz music as you are served up a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, sweets and freshly baked scones with clotted cream, plus your choice of a slice of one Titanic signature cake, cut at the table for you. Prices start at £24pp, and go up to £29 to include a glass of Prosecco and £34 to include a glass of Champagne.

Mum, Mam, Mammy, Mom… whatever you call your mother, if you're one of the lucky ones she's your best friend and your biggest hero.

Mother's Day is this Sunday and we've been taking some time to reflect on why our mums are simply the best.

Here are just a few of the reasons why…

1. They ALWAYS know where to find things
"Do you know where that ski jacket is I haven't used since 2006?" "Third drawer down in the spare room." WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!

2. They give the best advice
It's all the life experience, doncha know.

3. They always think you're the best, even when you're not
"You definitely should have gotten the job love, they don't know what they're missing out on." Thanks Mam!

4. They'll always offer an honest opinion on how you look
"You look a bit… chesty."

5. They won't mind if you call them at 2am in tears
Sure they were well used to waking up in the middle of the night when you were a baba!

6. They've seen you at your worst
Covered in your own poo as a 2 year old? Yup. Vomiting on your bed after your first teenage drinking sesh? Yup, that too.

7. They give the best hugs ever
Make sure you give your mum one back this Mother's Day.

While shops may be brimming with flowers, chocolates and cards, not everyone is in a position to drop money on their mum this Mother’s Day.

If you’re skint, it doesn’t mean all you can do is make your mum a card (although it’s a nice idea) there are also some other things you could do…

Here are some things you can do for your mum this Mother’s Day that won’t cost you a penny (well, maybe about 30c..):

1. Breakfast in bed
Major cliché – but for a reason. No coconut flour pancakes with an acai and kale smoothie here – that stuff costs. Keep it simple with tea and buttery toast and we reckon your mum will wake up with a smile on her face.

2. Walk/hike/cycle
Whatever your mum’s preferred method of exercise, why not offer to join in with her? A lovely walk in the woods or a hike somewhere will lead to some very beautiful mum-daughter selfies when you reach the peak!

3. Movie day/night
Grab blankets, popcorn and a rake load of mum-daughter friendly movies such as Now and Then, Stepmom and Fried Green Tomatoes. Light the fire and snuggle up for a movie marathon!

4. Clean
If you live at home you should be pitching in on this anyway but there’s no doubt it would take a load off your mum’s mind if you did a good spring-clean of the kitchen. Why not pick some flowers from the garden to surprise her with too? Just make sure they’re not her award-winning roses…

5. Write her a letter
Handwritten letters are underrated these days. Getting one is a serious novelty, especially if you live far away. Write your mum a letter, try to find news you haven’t told her over the phone yet, and remind her of all the amazing reasons she’s the best mum in the world. We promise she’ll treasure it and all it will cost you is the stamp.
