Netflix are introducing a cool new feature to user profiles and we are rather excited about it.

Their profile icons are getting a major makeover in honour of a very special anniversary.

In August 2013, Netflix launched profiles. Netflix became uniquely yours, personalised to you and your taste. You no longer had to see your roommate’s movie suggestions in your Top Picks or your little sister’s cartoons in your Continue Watching. Your profile features the best suggestions based on what you watch.

The profile icons you’ve used for the last five years are getting a fun makeover. They’re also introducing a bunch of new icons — including some of the most beloved characters from Netflix shows and movies. Get excited, things are about to get a lot more personal.

Cathy Conk, Director, Product Innovation said “We know the series and movies on Netflix are more than just things you watch to pass the time. The stories — and the characters in them —are also your heroes, frenemies, soulmates and everything in between. We’re thrilled to give you a way to show your fandom and make your connection with Netflix more unique.”

“Profiles are key to creating a highly personalized Netflix experience. By watching on your own profile, we can showcase suggestions for TV shows and movies we’re sure you won’t want to miss,” she added.

“We’re always working to make it easier for our members to connect with stories they’ll love and creating your profile is the first step. If you don’t have one yet, we highly suggest you make one — and personalize it with an icon like Luke Cage, Crazy Eyes, or another one of your favourite characters.”

The new profile icons will be rolling out on the website, mobile, and TV devices over the next few weeks.

We binge-watched both series one and two of The Crown, and although it seemed like a wonderful idea at the time, we certainly regret it now.

We miss Prince Phillip’s cheeky attitude. We wish we could watch Claire Foy’s dazzling portrayal of Queen Elizabeth every single day. We miss the drama of Princess Margaret and her troubled love life. We even miss Tommy Lascelles and that iconic moustache.

We are longing for series three of the Netflix drama series, and we’re sure we aren’t the only ones missing The Crown.

To fill The Crown shaped hole in your heart we’ve gathered up everything we know about the upcoming series.

When will it air?

Rumour has it that series three of The Crown will air later than the first two series. Apparently, filming will take place in July, with reports stating that the third series will air on Netflix in the winter of 2018, or early spring 2019.

The cast:

Unfortunately, we have bid a fond farewell to Matt Smith, Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby and co. who played the Royals during the 1940s to the 1960s. However, some stellar stars will take over from the original cast with Olivia Colman taking on the role of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. The latest addition to the cast is Tobias Menzies who will be carrying on as Prince Philip after Matt Smith departs.

Vanessa Kirby who dazzled as the wild Princess Margaret revealed that Helena Bonham Carter will be playing a middle-aged Princess Margaret. Ben Daniels will star as the charming Anthony Armstrong Jones. Jason Watkins will play Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

The storyline:

It has been confirmed that the upcoming season will focus on Princess Margaret’s troubled love life, as it follows the breakdown of her marriage to Antony ‘Tony’ Armstrong-Jones'. We will also be introduced to Camilla Parker Bowles in series three.

The time frame:

It has been claimed that series three will be set during the 1970s. The Duke of Windsor passed away in 1972, so we have a feeling his death will be a major storyline if this is the series three-time frame.

We will keep you up to date on everything about series three of this glorious series. We cannot wait for The Crown to return!

The hotly anticipated third instalment of smash Netflix phenomenon Stranger Things may still be a way off but fans finally got a little nugget of what the next season has in store.

Netflix released the short clip, titled, ''Ahoy! Something is coming… to Hawkins, Indiana!'' yesterday to mass excitement.

It showed a brand new mall, Starcourt Mall, that's coming to Hawkins in the summer of 1985.

Big permed hair, cycling shorts and neon legwarmers followed as the mall came to life with 80's shoppers.

Not to mention the appearance of fan favourite Steve Harrington (Joe Kerry) clad in a sailor outfit at what we can assume is his summer job in Scoops Ahoy! ice cream parlour.

Btw, whoever okayed putting a hat on top of The Hair – which is almost a character in it's own right – has some serious answering to do.

Joining him was newbie Robin (Maya Thurman-Hawke), who looked as equally unenthusiastic about working there as our Steve.

So what does it all mean?

Well, fans are literally combing through each scene, looking for any clues that creators The Duffer Brothers may have slipped in.

One fan wrote, ''you don't know how much ive seen this clip. i NeEd mOrE sTrAnGeR tHiNgS 3!!!!''

Most of the crazy fan theories and assumptions are that something is not quite right with Starcourt Mall – why make a clip solely dedicated to it if wasn't linked in some way linked to the Upside Down?

One comment said, ''I bet there is gonna be some epic showdown inside the mall with eleven and all the kids trying to defeat a monster'' while another agreed that the mall hold's definite importance in the plot.

''Brenners gonna waltz Back into Hawkins to find a shopping mall has been built over his lab. Eleven and mike go on a date to the mall and bump into Brenner.''

Helluva day….

A post shared by Shawn Levy (@slevydirect) on

One fan suggested that the mall was built on the grounds of Hawkin's lab.

Hmmm, not sure about that one but I suppose we'll just have to keep on guessing for now!

The show has another reason to celebrate as it has just landed a whopping and well-deserved 12 Emmy nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, and nods for David Harbour (Hopper) and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven ) in their respective roles.

Shame that the amazing Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) missed out on a nom as he was insanely brilliant in S2.

Thankfully, a few more set secrets were spilled recently thanks to executive producer Shawn Levy's interview with GQ.

He explained that four of the eight episodes have now been filmed, but the Duffers are still writing the second half of the season while they edit the first half.

“We still are scrambling to find time for the [Duffer] brothers to write the second half of the season while we're making the first half. Like every creative type the brothers have their process, and no matter how resolved they are to be more efficient with their time or not, some things don't change.”

He also promised a turn in the plot “toward darker and bigger action-packed fare than we’ve ever attempted.”

Stranger Things 3 began filming in April in Atlanta but it looks like we'll have to sit tight til sometime in 2019 to see what the gang get up to next.

To scratch that ST itch, catch Summer of 84 next month and hold tight for that S3 trailer!

Is it just us or are you dying to get a glimpse at Olivia Coleman for Season Three of The Crown?

Well, wait no longer as Netflix has released the first image of Olivia as HRH Queen Elizabeth II with the  simple caption of ''Patience.''

Which is something we sadly don't have when it comes to the third season of the hit drama.

Olivia is set to take over the reigns from Claire Foy, who embodied the grace and quiet determination of Her Majesty with such ease, that she will be greatly missed.

However, fans are divided with their opinions, as some are excited to see what Olivia will bring to the role while others wish Claire could have stayed on.

One said, ''Isn’t it two-fold? 1. The Queen needs to age: I don’t think we can hang around while Claire Foy gets 20 years older. 2. As mentioned multiple times throughout the series, ‘The Crown’ is the most important thing, not the person wearing it.''

Another chimed in with, ''I'm really going to miss Claire Foy (and Vanessa Kirby!) but I'm excited to see this next chapter!''

Olivia has spoken previously about how stepping into Claire's shoes will be ''a very hard act to follow.''

A post shared by The Crown (@thecrownnetflix) on

She spoke to Radio Times about the challenge of taking over from Claire.

''She’s f***ing amazing and it’s a very hard act to follow. The grown-ups put us [Olivia and Claire] in touch, so I could ask her about it and she was just lovely – she’s one of the sweetest people ever and she’s brilliant.”

Other new members to the cast include Tobias Menzies as the Duke of Edinburgh and Call The Midewife's Erin Doherty in the role of Princess Anne.

The third and fourth series are also reported to cover the time span of 1964-76.

Producer Suzanne Mackie also said that Charles’ second wife Camilla Parker-Bowles will be introduced.

Series Three can't come soon enough!

We know Christmas is six months away, but we can’t help but feel the tiniest bit excited about this upcoming Netflix movie.

Last Christmas, we were completely obsessed with the popular and incredibly cheesy Netflix film A Christmas Prince. We must admit we tuned into the film more than once over the festive period.

We’re sure you’re going to adore this year’s Netflix original Christmas flick The Princess Switch, starring High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens and Nashville star Sam Palladio.

The romantic comedy is all about a Duchess and a commoner who trade places when they realise the uncanny resemblance between them. It sounds like The Parent Trap sprinkled with Christmas cheer and set somewhere a lot more glamorous than a campsite.

However, things get complicated when they both fall in love with men who have no idea who they really are.

Vanessa treated fans to a glimpse of the movie on her Instagram account. She shared a photo with co-star Sam Palladio in full costume.

A post shared by Vanessa Hudgens (@vanessahudgens) on

She captioned the photo: “Did someone say a royal wedding? That’s a wrap on THE CHRISTMAS SWITCH. coming to you this holiday season on Netflix.”

The Spring Breakers actress added: “I’m so excited for you guys to see this one.”

Vanessa may have mixed up the title of the movie, but we cannot wait to see her in the Netflix festive flick.

The film may not be released for a couple of months but we’re already daydreaming of cosying up in front of the fire and tuning into The Princess Switch.

Hello, Madam President…

Yes, it's finally her turn in the Oval Office.

Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood is making her mark on the presidency In newly released first-look images from Netflix for 'House of Cards.'

The sixth and final season will revolve around Wright’s Claire in the Oval Office, having taken over the reins from her husband, Frank. We don't yet know how the team will have written Kevin Spacey, who played the scheming politician and president during the first five seasons out of the show – and had filmed the first three episodes of the new series – before Netflix severed ties with the actor.

The actor was forced off the show late last year amid several sexual harassment allegations that came to light. Since then, he has all but left public life but after stalling production on the show for a number of weeks, Netflix announced the would continue, with Wright taking over the storyline.

So, now, rightfully, it is her time to shine.

Wright has earned five Emmy nods for her formidable work on the drama and fans are eagerly anticipating her chance to step into the central character. Wright, who has been credited with taking the character from mere arm candy to one who carried equal weight with that of the lead actor, steadily grew to be as popular as Spacey's Frank over the course of the show's run.

Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as well as Cody Fern join Wright this season alongside Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson and more.

We can't wait.

Netflix has pretty much revolutionised the way we engage with movies and TV shows.

There is nothing quite like scrolling through the streaming service's endless options and settling on your favourite show or finding an unexpected thriller flick.

However, sometimes you're after a specific show, and to your dismay, Netflix doesn't have it.

Well, it's a little known fact, but Netflix actually have a request line where you can submit suggestions for what shows and movies you would like to see that Netflix don't already have.

'Have a TV show or movie you'd like to see on Netflix? Tell us about it below! This form is the one and only place to submit content requests,' reads the site.

You can submit three requests at a time, and they're all stored and tracked.

'If you've already submitted a request for a title, you can sit back and relax – we've received your feedback and there's nothing more for you to do.'

'We keep track of all requests from our members, so there's no need to request a title more than once.'

We put Desperate Housewives in every box, tbh.

Season one of Trump: An American Dream will follow Trump's rise in the 1970s, his expansion into the casino industry in the 1980s, his financial problems, and turning his attention to politics in the 2010s, which will feature his decision to run for the White House.

The four-episode series shows how he has embodied many of the movements that have shaped American society since the 1960s, including capitalism, political disenfranchisement, reality TV and social media.
