The third season of The Crown sees a new guard sweep into Downing Street, as Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family struggle to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing Britain.

A press release from USA Network has divulged that the second season of the hit show will focus on one of the messiest divorces in American history, culminating in a double homicide.

Dirty John only has one season on the podcast, so initially it was unknown whether the TV series would even get a second season commissioned.
We now know that season two will focus on a marriage gone horrifically awry, in the tale of convicted murderer Betty Broderick. The show will move from Bravo to USA Network this time around.
Amanda Peet will play Betty, while Christian Slater will play her ill-fated husband, Daniel Broderick.
"The first season of Dirty John was a story of twisted love and coercive control — and both these insidious elements are also present in and integral to the story of Betty Broderick, whom I have wanted to write about since I became a writer," series creator Alexandra Cunningham said in the press release.
"I can’t wait to see Amanda and Christian bring it to life." Betty Broderick was the wife of Daniel, and she cared for their San Diego-based family while Daniel attends medical school and then law school
Daniel hires then 21-year-old Linda Kolkena as his legal assistant, and Betty becomes totally convinced that Daniel is having an illicit affair. Daniel denied Betty’s allegations, which later proved to be true.
Daniel and Betty's marriage ended soon after, and Daniel and Kolkena married. Betty began acting erratically while the pair underwent divorce proceedings,
According to a 2017Los Angeles Times article on the Broderick case, Betty spray painted Daniel’s house, drove her car into Daniel’s front door, and left “obscene” messages on his answering machine.
Betty believed that she was Daniel's victim, seeing as Daniel had considerable influence in the law community. Betty was briefly admitted to a mental hospital, neglected to pay support payments and filed a restraining order.
Betty truly felt that Daniel intended to drive her insane in order to easily divorce her. The ex-wife later shot Daniel and Linda in their home on November 5, 1989,
“I bought into a 1950s Leave It to Beaver marriage…and Daniel stole my whole life,” Betty told The Los Angeles Times. “This was a desperate act of self-defense.”
Most of the public saw her as a cold-blooded killer, but others sympathised with the woman whose husband left her for a younger woman after she supported his career for years.
Demi Lovato has revealed that she will join the upcoming season of Will & Grace, posting a photo of herself reading a script on the NBC show's set.
The 27-year-old pop star revealed the news to her Instagram fans on Tuesday, captioning the image; "Will & Grace & Demi @nbcwillandgrace #WillandGrace."

The publication reports that she has accepted the role of Jenny, a "guarded woman who comes into the life of Will (Eric McCormack) in an unexpected way."
The reboot is set to air in 2020, with McCormack tweeting his excitement at the prospect of acting alongside the star;
"First shot with Ms Demi Lovato! #WillandGrace," the 56-year-old actor tweeted.
This will be Demi's first on-screen appearance since the 2016 show From Dusk til Dawn: The Series. Lovato also voiced a character in 2018's animated film Charming.

It’s safe to say we were delighted when Netflix revealed they were adapting the Baby-Sitters Club book series for modern TV.
The family series will feature 10 half-hour episodes and will follow the babysitting adventures of Kristy, Claudia, Dawn, Mary-Anne and Stacey.
The streaming service have yet to reveal who will play the five best friends, but they have found two of their cast members and we’re very excited about them.

According to Hollywood Reporter,Clueless icon Alicia Silverstone has joined the show and will star as Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, Kristy’s mum and Watson Brewer’s love interest.
Mark Feuerstein will star alongside Silverstone as Watson Brewer.

The show will broach topics from the books including racism, divorce and belonging, as well as issues facing modern day teens.

Teen drama 13 Reasons Why has been renewed for a fourth and final season on Netflix, Variety has just reported.
Season 4 is currently in production, with the trailer for Season 3 being released yesterday teasing the death of a major, yet controversial, character at Liberty High.
The core cast's graduation from high school will be featured in the final season, and Season 3 will debut on August 23 with 13 more drama-filled episodes.
Season 3 is set to pick up eight months after the events from Season 2, focusing on Clay (Dylan Minnette), Tony (Christian Navarro), Jessica (Alisha Boe), Alex (Miles Heizer), Justin (Brandon Flynn), and Zach (Ross Butler) discovering methods to handle the cover-up together while helping Tyler (Devin Druid) move on from his issues.

According to Variety's source, suicide will not be part of Season 3.
Timothy Granaderos, Anne Winters, Steven Weber, Brenda Strong. Amy Hargreaves, and Grace Saif will also feature in Season 3.
Showrunner and creator Brian Yorkey will executive produce with Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin, Selena Gomez, and Joy Gorman.
The show is based on the novel of the same name by Jay Asher, which wrapped up at the end of the pilot season. Season 1 gained notoriety for its depictions of teenage suicide.
Season 2 was regarded as a step down from the first season, with critics and fans alike disapproving of the storylines. Netflix have only recently edited out the scene in Season 1 where Hannah (Katherine Langford) commits suicide.
The scene now shows Hannah staring at her own reflection in the mirror before cutting to her parents’ reaction in a later scene, without showing the gruesome wrists-slitting bath scene.
"On the advice of medical experts, including Dr. Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’ve decided with creator Brian Yorkey and the producers to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from season one," a statement from the show read.

Jamie-Lynn spears is rumoured to be in talks to reprise her role in the Nickelodeon hit show Zoey 101, which was cancelled back in 2008.
The 28-year-old actress will be making her return to acting in Netflix's Sweet Magnolias, but whispers are circulating that she's hoping to make her way back to the hit teen show.

Brilliant Phoebe Waller-Bridge BBC show Fleabag landed 11 nominations, including a Lead Actress nod for the writer/actress, whose show Killing Eve also received multiple nominations.

Netflix has deleted the controversial suicide scene from season one of 13 Reasons Why, two years after the show originally aired.
In a statement released by the streaming site yesterday, Netflix said;
“We’ve heard from many young people that 13 Reasons Why encouraged them to start conversations about difficult issues like depression and suicide and get help—often for the first time.“
"As we prepare to launch season three later this summer, we’ve been mindful about the ongoing debate around the show," they added.
After consulting with psychologists and doctors, Netflix made the important decision;
"So on the advice of medical experts, including Dr. Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’ve decided with creator Brian Yorkey and the producers to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from season one.”
The scene instead now depicts actress Katherine Langford, who plays the show's protagonist Hannah, staring at her own reflection in the mirror before cutting to her parents' reaction in a later scene.
There is no longer any depiction of Hannah's suicide. The graphic and undeniably harrowing scene first aired during the season one finale, and showed Langford slicing her wrists with a razor blade before dying in a bathtub of blood.
The show faced immediate backlash regarding the depiction of suicide, with many activists and health professionals expressing concerns that the scene could contribute to copycat suicides among teenagers.
“It was our hope, in making 13 Reasons Why into a television show, to tell a story that would help young viewers feel seen and heard, and encourage empathy in all who viewed it, much as the bestselling book did before us,” showrunner Brian Yorkey wrote in a statement.
He added; “Our creative intent in portraying the ugly, painful reality of suicide in such graphic detail in season one was to tell the truth about the horror of such an act, and make sure no one would ever wish to emulate it.
"But as we ready to launch season three, we have heard concerns about the scene from Dr. Christine Moutier at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and others, and have agreed with Netflix to re-edit it," Yorkey emphasised.
"No one scene is more important than the life of the show, and its message that we must take better care of each other. We believe this edit will help the show do the most good for the most people while mitigating any risk for especially vulnerable young viewers.”

A number of suicide-related organisations and industry professionals have showed their support for Netflix' move, including; the American Association of Suicidology, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the American School Counselor Association, Stanford’s Dr. Helen Hsu, Mental Health America.
Cedars-Sinai’s Dr. Rebecca Hedrick and The Trevor Project have released a joint statement regarding the news;
“We support the decision to edit the scene in which Hannah takes her own life from 13 Reasons Why. There has been much debate about the series in the medical community."

They added; "But this positive change will ensure that the show continues to encourage open conversation about mental health and suicide prevention – while also mitigating the risk for the most vulnerable teenage viewers.”
The streaming service originally added a new advisory video in front of the second season episodes, with stars Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Justin Prentice and Alisha Boe explaining to viewers how they can get help if they are negatively affected by the show.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings later defended the show, saying, “It is controversial, but nobody has to watch it.”
The news of the show's choice to edit the suicide scene was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The first season of crime drama Mindhunter had the world and it's mother absolutely hooked, and season two is on the horizon.
Good news for all the superfans: The release date has been confirmed by executive-producers David Fincher and Charlize Theron, and it's SO soon.
Theron let slip to radio host Howard Stern back in May that we'll be getting the new series in August of this year, saying;
"Season 2 is coming out in August," she said. "Yeah, can't wait. Deep, dark… it's wonderful." Was she meant to tell us that? Most likely no, but Charlize does what Charlize wants.

David Fincher later added on KCRW's The Treatment podcast, that Mindhunter season two will air on Netflix on August 16 of this year. That's only 35 days, people.
The intense show is set in the 1970s, and follows FBI agent Holden Ford and colleague Bill Tench as they interview some of the most notorious serial killers of all time.
Why? Basically to understand why they turn into psychopaths, so they can prevent future murders through the magic of psychology. Holden is actually based on real-life FBI agent John E Douglas.
Season two will definitely feature Charles Manson, and the unnamed killer that pops up throughout season one will reappear. He's based on the 'BTK Killer' Dennis Rader, allegedly.
John E Douglas also spoke to John Wayne Gacy, 'Son of Sam' David Berkowitz and Charles Manson while he was an FBI agent, so these chaps will probably show up to creep us out.
Stars from season one Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany are set to return as Holden and Bill, and Hannah Gross will hopefully return too. Netflix are keeping quiet about who will return from the cast…
Justified actor Damon Herriman has been cast as Manson in the next series, Colliderhave reported. Weirdly, he's also confirmed to play Manson in Quentin Tarantino's film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Manson was the infamous leader of a dangerous cult who were brainwashed, and murdered pregnant actress Sharon Tate. The followers will appear in season two of the show, which should be fascinating.
Tex Watson led the group of Manson followers who murdered Sharon, which include; Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, Gary Hinman, Leno & Rosemary La Biance, Steven Parent, and Donald Shea.
One INSANE theory suggests that Jonathan Groff's character Holden is actually a sociopath, which would blow our minds. Groff has disproved this theory though, which is slightly devastating.
"Everyone has said to me after they watch the show that they thought the character was a sociopath," he told Vulture. "And I had no idea! No idea… So many of my friends texted me, saying, 'OK, so when are you gonna start killing people?'
"I think the thing that they are aligning with… that I think is very similar, that we start to see more and more in our characters is this characteristic of narcissism and becoming self-obsessed."
