A video-tape allegedly showing notorious R&B singer R. Kelly engaging in sexual activity with an underage girl has been discovered.

Attorney Michael Avenatti has released a statement declaring that the footage shows Kelly "engaging in multiple sexual assaults of an underage girl." According to Avenatti, the tape is "clear" and is 45 minutes long.

He said in his statement; "Our work has been painstaking, detailed, expensive, and time consuming. Mr Kelly is a predator and a criminal who has preyed on young, vulnerable girls for far too long. ‘The time has come for him to finally be held accountable for his actions."

American news publication CNN say they have viewed the tape, and claim the girl appears makes references to her "14-year-old p***y".

The man in the video reportedly asks her to urinate, and then afterwards he urinates on her.

Avenatti also claims that the new tape is NOT "in connection with the prior criminal matter in which Mr Kelly was charged nor does it depict the same instances of sexual assault".

The prosecutor’s office would neither confirm nor deny that an investigation was underway, a spokesman said.

Steve Greenberg , R. Kelly’s lawyer, wrote a statement saying: "This morning I woke up to reports that a video had surfaced showing R Kelly allegedly with an underage girl. The reports were prompted from a tweet by Michael Avenatti, who himself was the subject of unfavourable news articles just yesterday."

The statement continued; "Timing is everything. ‘The calls and emails I received were the first I’ve heard of these allegations. I understand that CNN says that they have seen this video."

"If the video were what it is claimed to be, by sharing it with CNN Mr. Avenatti would be committing a felony, as would the reporter who viewed it. I doubt if either would put themselves in that position. That combined with the other facts that I know lead me to question the reports."

Greenberg said; "I have not been contacted by anyone connected with law enforcement, nor has R Kelly. Mr. Kelly denies that he has engaged in any illegal conduct, of any kind whatsoever. He would like to be able to continue to write and sing and produce and perform."

He also mentioned the infamous Surviving R Kelly documentary on Lifetime, which shocked the world with dozens of sexual abuse allegations spanning 30 years.

"Unfortunately, as a result of a documentary that regurgitated long ago rejected claims, he has been adjudged guilty in the public eye. In this age of hashtags we are too quick to rush to judgement simply because something is associated with a hashtag."

It continued; "A hashtag does not make claims credible. All of the claims by these women were brought forth years ago, rejected by the police, and/or rejected by the courts, but now for their own gain they have rehashed them."

"Each of the women in that documentary are out for money, whether they have suddenly filed a lawsuit, they have all of a sudden released their own song, or they have written a book," he wrote, saying the woman who have accused Kelly are simply in it to capitalise.

"In this country people are entitled to presumption of innocence. Absent conclusive evidence, proof beyond reasonable doubt, I would ask that people follow the principles that make this country great. We will have no further comment," said the lawyer.

"Thanks to all his fans and their support. He will continue to work on his album," it concluded.

The singer only just announced a 2019 tour of New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lanka, after the documentary was released. He has been accused of having sex with girls as young as 14, and holding women hostage in a sex cult.

Kelly has continuously denied the allegations against him. Time will tell what this new evidence will bring to the shocking story.

Singer Ryan Adams has been hit with claims of emotional abuse, sexual misconduct and harassment.

The claims surfaced in a New York Times report where seven women came forward to say that the singer-songwriter had offered them help with their music careers before things became sexual and then abusive – both emotional and verbally.

The published report said that a 20-year-old female musician, going by her middle name Ava, had inappropriate conversations with Adam while she was 15 and 16 – he was 40.

Ava also claimed that Ryan had exposed himself in a video call.

The report said that Ryan had pet names for her body parts and messaged her that, ''If people knew they would say I was like R Kelley lol.''

Andrew B. Brettler, Adam’s lawyer said that, ''Mr. Adams unequivocally denies that he ever engaged in inappropriate online sexual communications with someone he knew was underage.''

Adams’ ex-wife, actor and singer Mandy Moore, also said that he was psychologically abusive towards her during their marriage.

In light of the report, Ryan took to Twitter to address the allegations.

The 44-year-old said, ''I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.''

He continued, ''But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false. I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period.''

The singers Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Jaye also alleged that Ryan behaved inappropriately during their relationships.

The article claims that Ryan became obsessed with Phoebe and, ''He began barraging her with texts, insisting that she prove her whereabouts, or leave social situations to have phone sex, and threatening suicide if she didn’t reply immediately.''

Ryan is a seven-times Grammy winner and is set to play two sold out concerts in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on March 30 and 31.

A 'Rats Out of the HSE' protest took place today outside the Department of Health's office in Dublin, following a leak of patient information.

The woman had legally obtained an abortion, but was then phoned and harassed by anti-abortion groups, according to TheJournal.ie

The protesters were calling for better protection of confidential patient information and for an external investigation to be launched after last week's data breaches.

Roughly 12 people took part in the protest at lunchtime, carrying placards and holding cut-out rat masks at Miesian Plaza.

A number of investigations were launched last week into the shocking claims.

A woman had an abortion at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin, otherwise known as Holles Street, and was later verbally abused over the phone by a man who had somehow obtained her personal information.

On Friday, anti-abortion protesters stated that they were given information on when abortions were scheduled to occur at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Councillor Éilis Ryan of The Workers’ Party has said the HSE needed to clearly explain the steps it had taken to ensure that staff were providing abortion services in a trustworthy, fair and transparent manner.

"It doesn’t seem that any thought was put into how to change the culture of our hospitals to ensure people who might have anti-choice feelings themselves are not biased in how they carry out their healthcare provision”.

Her worry regarding the ability of our healthcare services to adapt without bias is felt by many.

Health Minister Simon Harris has admitted that an internal probe will take place, but “given the scale of scandals linking to the HSE in recent years we don’t feel that an internal investigation can be trusted or is sufficient”, according to Ryan.

She feels that Gabriel Scally is trustworthy, after he carried out the Cervical Check screening programme review.

Simon Harris said on Friday  that it was “extraordinarily concerning and disturbing” that a patient’s details of her own abortion could possibly become public.

"The idea that anybody might leak a woman’s confidential information is reprehensible, it is grotesque, it’s disgusting and that is why I asked the HSE yesterday to investigate the matter and report back."

The HSE, the Dublin Well Woman Clinic, the National Maternity Hospital and the Data Protection Commissioner are apparently making inquiries regarding the apparent incident.

Picketing officially began this morning for the nurses' strike, which is only the second time in 100 years that the group have carried out work stoppages.

According to The Journal, three-quarters of Irish people support the nurse's 24-hour strike, which is being carried out over an apparent recruitment and retention issue.

Nurses and midwives across the county will be out on the picket line today, fighting for pay and better working conditions at hospitals and private clinics nationwide.

Nursing unions are seeking pay parity with other health service grades, such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) has announced that talks which were held at the Labour Court on Monday night did not lead to any breakthroughs.

The INMO has over 40,000 members, and announced the strikes earlier in January. Over 90 percent of members which were polled voted in favour of industrial action in a ballot held in November.

According to nurses, increasing their pay is the only way to retain nurses, and this would improve working conditions, as well as the recruitment and retention crisis among members.

The government has expressed it's concern over pay rises for nurses outside of the broader public sector pay agreement reached last year, and has refused to give in to the nurses' demands.

The strikes have gone ahead after the Labour Court claimed it would not intervene in the dispute in a formal way, as the government are anxious that other industries will also request pay rises if the nurses obtain their requested 12 percent rise.

A Claire Byrne LiveTheJournal.ie poll of 1,000 adults by Amárach Research found huge support for the nurses' action, with 74 percent of participants expressing agreement with the 24-hour strike.

Only 17 percent said no, while 9 percent were unsure.

Members of the public have been requested by the HSE only to attend emergency services in hospitals if it is totally necessary.

Liam Woods, HSE national director of acute operations, commented; “We would appeal that patients would only attend the emergency services if absolutely essential."

In emergencies, there will be an emergency response, and any patients whose appointments or surgeries have been cancelled will achieve priority in the weeks following the strike.

The INMO has also said that further strikes will take place on the February 5 and 7, and then February 12, 13 and 14 if an agreement cannot be reached.

People have been asked to not post any images or footage of the fatal accident that occurred on the M50 yesterday.

Around 11:30am yesterday morning, gardai and emergency services were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on a slip road just off the M50 at Junction 5 in Finglas.

A woman in her 30s sadly passed away after her car collided with another, being driven by a man in his 50s.

Shortly after the crash, images began to circulate online.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and minor damage was caused to a truck and a third car.

Gardaí yesterday asked people not to share the images out of respect to the woman’s family and the other people involved.

Independent Senator Lynn Ruane is among those how have taken to social media to ask people to please refrain form posting the distressing images.

Lynn, a family friend of the victim, wrote, ''My friend has lost his sister and the last thing his family need right now is an image of the accident.''

She also asked anyone who sees photos of the incident to share the URL link with her.

She continued, ''Facebook has created a digital fingerprint for the images that will prevent them from being re-uploaded to the site but it still need links to remove the images from any networks on which they remain. The loss of a loved one so sudden is traumatic enough without the added trauma of an image.''

Gardaí have said that some motorists were “slowing down unnecessarily while passing the scene” of the incident and causing delays.

If anyone has any information, please contact Finglas Garda Station 01 666 7500 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

It was announced yesterday that upskirting will become a criminal offence in England, carrying a two-year prison sentence.

The offence of taking photos under a person's clothing without their permission is currently still legal in Ireland, but is illegal in Scotland.

Gina Martin has been an ardent campaigner for the criminalisation of upskirting for over two years, and said she was exhausted and happy after it was decided the offence became illegal.

The bill passed its third reading in the House of Lords yesterday, meaning upskirting is to be a criminal offence.

In June, the Ministry of Justice claimed it would support the ban which formed an aspect of the Voyeurism Offences Bill.

Gina Martin, a freelance writer from London, has headed the campaign since her own experience as a victim of upskirting herself at a music festival in 2017.

"I am over the moon. Upskirting will be illegal. After becoming a victim and recognising a gap in the law, I partnered with Ryan Whelan of Gibson Dunn and began 18 months of exhaustive, emotional and life-changing work."

"Now? We have changed the law! I always thought politics was impenetrable but with the right help and willpower you can do it. We did it. We made upskirting a sexual offence!"

"I am exhausted and so so happy!"

Gina said she spotted one of the men who upskirted her sharing the image on his mobile in front of her. Despite grabbing the phone and showing it to police, four days later the case was closed.

The offence will gain a two-year sentence; victims previously had to try other avenues to get justice, such as outraging public decency.

We think it's high time this became a legal offence in Ireland. Congrats Gina, you're one badass lady.

Gardaí are now investigating an alleged sexual assault which took place last Thursday in South Dublin.

The incident involving the teenager apparently occurred on Lower Kilmacud Road in Stillorgan on January 10, around 7pm.

The young woman was walking down the road towards Dundrum and noticed a man following her, according to a Garda source.

The man in question is accused of ejaculating on the woman before walking away, after following her for about two kilometres before the attack.

The teenager’s clothes have been taken by the Gardaí to be tested for DNA evidence. A significant amount of CCTV evidence has also been recovered.

A spokeswoman for the Gardaí confirmed officers were investigating “an alleged sexual assault on a female on Lower Kilmacud Road, Dublin on 10th January 2019 at 7pm”.

Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry.

The rumours were FLYING last week which whispered that 45-year-old Kate Beckinsale left the Golden Globes with none other than PETE DAVIDSON. *gasp*

Yup, the same Pete Davidson who dated Ariana Grande until their engagement was tragically brought to an end last year. That's the one.

The actress has now responded to the gossip with a sufficiently catty Instagram comment that would make RuPaul, AKA Queen of Sass, very proud.

Maybe the duo just left the party early to grab some classic drunken fast-food, celeb style? Who can say.

It definitely seems like the internet has overreacted and made a big fuss over nothing though…

If you require abortion information or help, please be careful about fake websites.

The HSE has issued a warning about a bogus website which is imitating the newly launched MyOptions website.

The official MyOptions web page is run by the HSE and provides correct information about abortion services available in the Republic of Ireland.

A freephone line was also established by the HSE with trained professional counsellors on the other end.

You can find the helpline phone number through the MyOptions.ie web page.

However, a bogus MyOptions has surfaced online when users search for the free helpline.

The fake site reads: "Call us now and book a free ultrasound if you are thinking about termination and need to know how far pregnant you are and all you need to know to be fully informed.”

It includes an Irish mobile number listed under the contact information and an email address.

The site is linked to an anonymous Facebook page, which began sharing anti-abortion videos in May 2018.

A spokesperson for the HSE confirmed that the website isn't linked in anyway to the official MyOptions helpline or website.

“We are aware of a number of websites and ads that are appearing in search results and social media that claim to be providing unplanned pregnancy support services under variations of the myoptions name,” the spokesperson stated.

The spokesperson added that unreliable agencies mightn't be "upfront" about their motivation behind the information they are providing people.

“Some unreliable agencies may not be upfront about their intentions and may try to influence a person’s decision. The HSE recommends that people should only visit a recognised or HSE-funded unplanned pregnancy counselling agency,” they said.

“If people are looking at information online, look for the HSE logo.”

They added that the correct freephone number for people seeking information about their options is 1800 828 010.

The HSE has released a number of warning signs that usually means the source you've sought help and information from, is unreliable.

These include extended periods of time between appointments, meeting in public places such as a hotel or car park and a delay in pregnancy test results.

Your results should be provided to you immediately.

If you receive information or leaflets with limited information and it contains negative or frightening language, is another indication.

Lastly it you are shown inappropriate media such as pictures and videos during counselling sessions is a big red flag, as they are used to sway a woman's choice.
