While X Factor viewers took to social media in their droves to slam the show's reliance on novelty acts this weekend, the latest contestant to leave the show is much more matter-of-fact about the whole thing.

After losing out on a place in next week's show, Ryan Lawrie appeared to suggest that he knew he'd be heading home if he was to go up against controversial act, Honey G.

Appearing on both This Morning and Lorraine earlier today, the aspiring star took the results in his stride and suggested that the judging panel are more interested in the entertainment value of the show rather than the search for a star.

"I knew when I was with Honey G, I was going home," he admitted while reflecting on his time on the long-running ITV show.

Sounding unperturbed by the results, he added: "I just feel like the whole entertainment production vibe, that was what the judges wanted than me."

Unsurprisingly, when Ryan was asked his opinion of the aspiring rapper, he attempted to be diplomatic, but it sounds like he's as baffled by her success as the rest of us.

"Sometimes she’'ll be really posh and then she’ll be street talk," he revealed. "The accents change. She’s really smart and it's working really well."

"I personally think Honey G… Well, I like to use Keith Lemon as a good example. I think it's a character she has."

Admitting that he was sad to go but grateful to have taken part, he added: "It was a bit frustrating when you’re trying your hardest but I’m happy I got the opportunity."

So, Honey lives to rap another week…

If you spent your entire morning commute cursing the icy conditions which have descended upon the country, Met Éireann's latest update won't do much to cheer you up.

According to emerging reports, we're not likely to see the back of the current weather any time soon, with the good folk behind the nation's meteorological service issuing not one, not two but THREE yellow weather warnings.

Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, Meath and Wexford are the main focus, with forecasters confirming that wind and rainfall will intensify over the course of the afternoon.

It is understood that these counties should expect strong north to northwest winds in addition to heavy rainfall and spot flooding.

And if that wasn't woeful enough, we should also expect sleet and snow overnight while tomorrow morning is set to bring rain and sleet with temperatures expected to plummet to 0 degree Celsius.

Oh, joy!

Just hours after performing on Strictly Come Dancing last Saturday night, Gorka Marquez was the victim of an unprovoked attack in Blackpool.

According to emerging reports, the professional dancer, who was partnered with Tameka Empson, was with fellow dancers Alijaz Skorjanec and Neil Jones when he was attacked by a group of individuals.

Speaking to The Sun, a friend of the popular dancer explained: "Gorka and a few of the other dancers were heading to a nightclub to let their hair down after another brilliant show."

"All of a sudden this group of local louts came out of nowhere," the source continued. "One of them punched Gorka in the face and broke two of his teeth."

Confirming the incident, a spokesperson for the show said: "Gorka was sadly the victim of an unprovoked incident in Blackpool on Saturday night but he will be back in training this week and is looking forward to the group routine next weekend."

Stunned by the incident, Gorka's friend expressed disbelief, saying: "This was an entirely random and shocking attack on a group of friends simply trying to enjoy a night out."

According to a source close to Gorka, the dancer, who returned to London for dental treatment, is equally stunned by Saturday night's attack, saying: "He wasn't angry, he was just more shaken by the event."

It is understood Gorka will be returning to scheduled training in preparation for the show's Christmas special.

In a move which won't endear her to many Frankie Bridge fans, Wayne Bridge's ex, Vanessa Perroncel, may be on course to join him in the Australian jungle.

Vanessa, who had an affair with Wayne's team mate John Terry, is reportedly set to join the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here cast as revenge for being kept in the dark about Wayne's decision to take part in the long-running ITV show.

According to reports, Vanessa, who shares a nine-year-old son with Wayne, is furious that she was misled when her former partner told her that rumours he was set to enter the jungle were nothing more than 'gossip'.

"Vanessa was offered the jungle six years ago and refused. When she texted Wayne to ask him if it was true or not, he told her to ignore the gossip," a source told The Sun.

Apparently, Vanessa is furious that her ex-partner accepted an offer of a reality TV show when she has made a habit of turning them down since news broke she had had an affair with John Terry.

"Now he'll be in the jungle for weeks and she wasn't even told," the insider added "It was only very late in the day that he did admit it. The gloves could come off – until now she's refused many shows."

Wayne is now married to Frankie of The Saturdays fame and shares two sons with the 27-year-old singer.

We wonder how Frankie will take the news…

If you've spent the last few weeks insisting that you and your mates would have been a better choice for Gogglebox Ireland than Paul and Paul from Youghal, then it's time to put your money where your mouth is.

With news emerging that TV3 have commissioned a second season of the hilarious Thursday night show, this is your chance to show the nation just how much craic you and the squad really are.

Giving the nation an insight into what the good folk behind the scenes are looking for, series producer, Simon Proctor, reminded us that potential candidates need to possess more than just a love of telly.

"Families, friends and partners can all be considered – two, three or four people who are already connected, so long as you are opinionated, funny, likeable, smart and have lots to say about what's on the box."

Oh, and if you happen to have a priest or nun in the family, now is the time to call in a favour.

"Top of our list would be a member of the clergy so, if anyone has an aunt who happens to be a nun who loves her telly or knows a perfect priest, we would love to hear from them!" Simon added.

So, if you think you were what was missing from the show's debut season, it's time to step up and email casting@kiteentertainment.com

See you on the box, ladies.

When it comes to speaking her mind, Helen Woods is an absolute pro.

The former escort, who came to public attention after sleeping with Wayne Rooney, has, since then, made a name for herself on reality television, so it's no real surprise she feels equipped to comment on the dynamic currently playing out in the Australian jungle.

But unfortunately for Helen, she underestimated the support Scarlett Moffatt has in the general public, and looks to be backtracking on the remarks she made last week when discussing I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

"She tries soooo hard to be funny, when in fact she's funny putting zero thought into what she's saying. People who try too hard get on my t*ts, leave the comedy to the experts like Joel," Helen suggested at the time.

Reflecting on the backlash she endured as a result of these comments, the former Big Brother star attempted to clarify her point in her latest Daily Star column.

"Didn't half ruffle a few feathers calling out Scarlett Moffatt's fakery last week, did I? Chill your boots," Helen wrote. "It's obvious she knows she's in with a good chance of winning."

"I actually said I think she's funny when she doesn’t try, but it's the little things that get on my t*ts."

"Like how she clicks when everyone laughs at something she said, so she'll says it again, and then a third time. Okay love, find a new joke, stop recycling ones that got rusty before the omnibus."

Suggesting that the nation's love for Scarlett stems from her ability to shed weight, Helen then added: "I don't know what it is about the great British public, but have you noticed if anyone goes from fat to thin, loses a bit of timber, everyone falls at their feet like they've found the cure for sodding cancer?"

Finishing off the rant, Helen stuck the knife in one last time, adding: "As a nation, we are bleeding soft for the chubster transformation sob stories."

Top-notch clarification, Helen.

From cosmetic surgery to substantial weight loss, there's very little the Geordie Shore girls haven't tried in an effort to overhaul their appearance.

And it looks like 27-year-old Sophie Kasaei is the latest cast member to undergo a transformation after falling victim to online trolls in recent months.

After rejoining the show, the original cast member gained 21 lbs over the course of a six week filming schedule, and ultimately shed a staggering 14 lbs of it over just seven days at a boot camp favoured by celebrities.

"I love filming Geordie Shore but it totally wrecks your diet. I was in great shape before we started filming the last series but that all went out of the window by the end of the series," Sophie explained.

"It is party central for almost two months and there is no time to go to the gym. You need so much discipline to stay in shape and I lost it big time."

Branded a 'whale' on social media after gaining weight due to the amount of alcohol and junk food she was consuming while filming Geordie Shore, Sophie decided to sign up to a military boot camp in Norfolk – an experience which she says she won't forget in a hurry,

"The 6am wake-up call was the biggest shock – that is the time I am normally getting back in from a nightclub when I am on Geordie!" she admitted.

"I loved every minute of it and I was thrilled to lose 7 lbs in five days. I could not believe the difference – I felt so much firmer all over."

Focussing on long-term goals, Sophie reveals she plans to return to the camp, saying: "I want to go back and do a proper body blitz and get seriously in shape like Holly and Charlotte."

Reflecting on the impact filming can have on the cast members, Sophie said: "It does take its toll on the girls in particular and a few of us do start to feel insecure about our bodies by the end of the filming."

"It is worse for me because I am only 5ft 1in, so there is nowhere for me to hide my weight," she added.

If you were big into piercings back in the day, chances are you have a couple of tiny holes in your ears which you no longer adorn with jewellery.

And while most of us assume every small hole in a person's ear is the result of a past piercing, this isn't actually the case – something you'll be all too familiar with if you have a rare condition called preauricular sinus.

Preauricular sinus presents as a tiny hole where the ear cartilage joins the face, and is a harmless condition which affects, on average, one in 100 people.

First documented by scientist Van Heusinger back in 1864, preauricular sinus appears during early foetal development and is hereditary.

If you've never noticed anyone with this feature before, social media is here to clue you in.

#preauricularsinus #babycenter #allaboutbaby #FistulaPreaurikularKongenital

Drake isn't like other rappers.

Unlike the rest of the crew, Drake wears his heart on his sleeve and doesn't care who knows it.

And if he's scared or creeped out, he's not going to try hide it if yesterday's upload to YouTube is anything to go by.

While appearing on David Blaine's Beyond Magic, Drake looked like he needed a right ol' sit-down for himself when the world-famous magician began doing what he does best  – messing with people's minds.

Mouthing 'I don't like it' over and over, Drake made his feelings for David's act pretty clear, and after you watch it, you'll probably see why.

*Grabs sick bucket*
