While Adele refuses to court the paparazzi in order to maintain control over her private life, the acclaimed singer is often more than happy to share personal details with her fans.

Proving that she considers her global fan base an extension of herself, the British star recently revealed that she's very eager to give her son a baby brother or sister.

Speaking from the stage at a concert in Nashville, the When We Were Young singer revealed that she's becoming broody as her little boy gets older.

"My son is about to turn four very, very soon," she explained according to the Daily Mirror. "I’m starting to get very emotional about it because I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby anymore."

And it sounds like 28-year-old Adele is only dying to go through the baby stage again, adding: "My womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby,'"

But for anyone who may have thought this was Adele's way of telling the world a baby was on the way, the singer quickly clarified that she is not currently expecting.

"I’m not pregnant. I won’t get pregnant until the end of the tour," she insisted,

Adele will be finishing her tour in November, so, you know, watch this space…

When it comes to the vast majority of reality television couples, their respective social accounts generally act as a barometer of how well the relationship is going.

With this in mind it's perhaps no surprise that Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor's fans and followers are under the impression that the Celebrity Big Brother couple may have called time on their romance.

The rumour mill went into overdrive at the weekend when the Geordie star appeared to delete all trace of her new boyfriend from her Instagram account before posting a message – which she quickly deleted – which read "Over before it begun'.

And if that wasn't enough to pique the interest of the public, Lewis added fuel to the fire by tweeting a message which suggests he may have already come to terms with  the split, writing: "One door closes, another one opens, that's how life works."

Assuming that the couple's time together had come to an end, Lewis' followers were quick to weigh in, with one writing: "Don't give up so easily. Fight for the girl you love and what you have,"

"You should fight for the ppl you love if you really love each other you will get trough it no matter how hard it is," wrote another (sic)

"Nooooo… don't give up. You guys are too goals to give up," added another fan.

And while Lewis was taking advice from die-hard romantics, it seemed Marnie was doing what she does best – nursing a pretty hefty hangover.

"I only had the 1 picture I posted. I know total blur of a night. STILL never drinking Again haha," she wrote last night.

Aw, what about this ring Lewis was planning to place on Marnie's finger?

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of American sprinter Tyson Gay’s daughter, Trinity, who was shot in Kentucky in the early hours of this morning.

The 15-year-old was fatally wounded in a restaurant car park in Lexington when two cars of men opened fire on each other at around 4am local time.

Police say Trinity – who was a promising track star – was not a passenger in either of the vehicles, both of which fled the scene after the incident.

She is believed to have been an innocent by-stander who got caught in the crossfire.

Shortly before she was killed, Trinity managed to Tweet about the shooting when she wrote: “Of course they start shootin (sic)”.

Her Olympian father – who is the second fastest man to run 100 metres in history – confirmed her death to CNN.

He said: “She didn’t make it.  I’m so confused.  She was just here last week for fall break.  It’s so crazy.  I have no idea what happened.”

Trinity’s mother, Shoshana Boyd, told the Daily News that her daughter wanted to become “the fastest woman in the world” and to be a surgeon.

She said: “She was so innocent, she was so innocent.”

“I just want people to stop shooting and realise who they’re hurting. It’s just random. They don’t understand, they don’t understand who they’re hurting.”

Social media is already flooded with tributes to the teen.

In light of her death, people are once again calling for better gun control laws in the US.

In a move which has captured the attention of more than half a million people today, one Instagram user has uploaded a video which seeks to highlight the pressure placed on young women in today's society.

Karolina Maria, a 20-year-old makeup artist from Norway, begins her message by showing herself scrolling through a social media feed before becoming disillusioned by the images beamed back at her.

Seeking to alter her appearance in an attempt to meet the ideal depicted on countless social media accounts, a fresh-faced Karolina begins applying make up, but after overhauling her appearance with the help of cosmetics decides she's still not up to par.

Explaining the motivation behind the video in the accompanying message, Karoline wrote: "I think it's just so crazy how plastic surgery and fillers have become so normal."

"Don't you ever compare yourself to someone else and think you are less, because only YOU are you, and you are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are."

Karolina's post has been inundated with support from Instagram users, with one writing: "Such a powerful video I hope this reaches women everywhere."

"Love the message of this video! Nowadays it's so impossible to fit the beauty standards," added another.

It took us most of our teenage years to master how to blend our foundation into our jawline, but once we had that down, we thought we were sorted.

We weren't, of course, because while we were busy dealing with our jawline, we were completely neglecting another line – our hairline, obvs.

If you've ever arrived to work or college and realised your base is giving your hair a grey tinge akin to your granny's 70th birthday snap, then you're not alone.

And if you're one of those girls who used your fringe to avoid properly blending your make-up, then meet your sisters.

But it looks like we need no longer fear the washed-out septuagenerian look if Margot Robbie's recent tips are anything to go by.

Speaking to ELLE, the Aussie star revealed her top trick for avoiding the look we've spent too much of our life rocking.

"My friend taught me this trick that I use it every day. When I put on foundation, I use an eyebrow brush or toothbrush to brush it into my hairline so that it all blends," she explains.

"Especially because I have blond hair but tanned skin, if I don't blend it, it looks gross – you can see the foundation in my hair."

Unlike the rest of us however, Margot's boyfriend struggles to understand much of her beauty routine.

"I do that every single day, and every time my boyfriend [Tom Ackerley] is like, what are you doing? And I'm like, I'm brushing my makeup into my hairline! And he's like, girls are crazy."

Crazy… but perfectly blended thanks to your girlfriend, Tom.

When it comes to tedious stereotypes, the ‘Irish Mammy’ is definitely up there.

Along with the ‘Basic Bitch’ concept, the archetypal 'Irish Mammy' stereotype has become so overused you can now attribute any number of traits – no matter how atypical – to a woman with children and she’ll instantly become an ‘Irish Mammy’.

However, the reason the term resonated so widely at the beginning is because there truly is a few distinct characteristics which help to set 'Irish Mammies' apart, but on the whole mams are mams are mams.

And when it comes to phone conversations, they are ALL the same.

1. She will tell you who died

It’s a like morbid game of Guess Who, but your parents can’t get enough of it.

“Ah, have one more go and then I’ll tell ya.”

2. She will talk to the family pet

We used to live with this woman and we know the family cat never followed her around the house, so we can only assume she’s the one doing the following.

“I can get nothing done with her.”

3. She will call you by the wrong name at least once

You can be pretty selective with what you choose to hear during one of these conversations, but the moment you’re called by a sibling’s name, all bets are off.

“Will you calm yourself. I’ve called you much worse when you weren’t listening.”

4. She will ask after a friend whose name she can’t remember

She knows you have a friend, and she knows something’s happening with that friend, but she’s killed if she can remember who that friend is.

“Tell me, how is that lovely… oh, who is… her mam had a fall recently… who am I talking about?”

5. She will tell you something she told you yesterday

You had a 20 minute conversation the day before about your dad’s new jacket, and here she is again raving about it.

“And he didn’t want me to buy it, and sure now he won’t take it off. I’ve no hope of getting it in the wash.”

6. She will remind you about a grown-up matter you were purposely ignoring

You made the mistake of mentioning a letter you had received from the Credit Union a week ago, and the woman now has you plagued.

“You don’t want to ignore them, love. Stay in good standing with the Credit Union, that’s what we always say.”

7. She will tell you the place is ‘upside down’

A running commentary on the state of the family home is par for the course when it comes to a conversation with the mam.

“Honest to God, I’d be embarrassed letting anyone past the front door. It’s like we live in a hovel.”

8. She will ask when you’re next coming home

You might be only minutes on the bus back to the big smoke, and she’s on the blower asking when they’ll next see you.

“Honest to God, you’d swear we lived in Timbucktoo, you lot.”

Remember the last time you were forced to watch a sex scene in the presence your parents?

No? That’s because you blocked it out.

Unfortunately for the Ryan lads from Limerick, blocking it out wasn’t exactly an option today as Gogglebox Ireland viewers insisted they relive the moment over and over again on Twitter.

Surpassing the Cavan twins in the popularity stakes this week, the two young Limerick lads were forced to endure an episode of Kevin McGahern’s America –  a show which documented the cam girl scene in the US – alongside their mam.

And in fairness, they played an absolute blinder.

Take a moment to consider the photo for your college ID.

At best, it’s passable, and at worst, it should never see the light of day again and definitely shouldn’t be something you have to present to people for the guts of four years, right?

Yeah, we thought as much.

But, no matter how hideous you might believe yours to be, it has nothing – and we mean nothing – on the photo this lad had to use after he decided to provide officials with a Snapchat-filtered image which was, in turn, accepted.

That’s right ladies, it was actually accepted.

Taking to Facebook to share his distress, Dáire wrote: ”Jesus Christ I drunkenly applied for my NUS card and it asked for a photo so I picked one with a Snapchat filter.”

Asking what we’re all thinking, he added: “Why did they accept this? I can never use it as ID.”

Unsurprisingly, Facebook had an absolute field day with thousands of social media users taking the time to like, share and tag their mates in the post.

“This is amazing,” wrote one while another missed the point entirely, writing: “I’m going to do this!”

You can’t help some people…

Just days after the Cathríona White’s family announced that they had filed legal action against Jim Carrey, the Hollywood star has reportedly recruited the service of two private investigators in an effort to malign the White family reputation.

According to reports emerging across the pond, the Bruce Almighty star has responded to the two wrongful death lawsuits – one of which was filed by Cathriona’s estranged husband – by attempting to source information which may be damaging for the family of his late girlfriend.

It is understood Larry Broadhurst and Ed Guttierez approached friends of the Tipperary makeup artist in a quest to ‘dig up dirt’ on the family.

Concerned by the motive behind the intrusion, Cathriona’s friends reportedly alerted the White’s family’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, and informed him of developments.

Commenting on the situation, Mr Avenatti said: “Within the last 48 hours, two private investigators working for Carrey have been doing everything they can to come up with information for Carrey to use.”

Elaborating on the private investigators’ intentions, the attorney explained that the “questions [were] designed to get White’s friends to speak badly about the grieving family”

"How dare Carrey and his Hollywood lawyers try and malign the family and intimidate them,” he said.

“Sending private investigators out to dig up dirt on a grieving mother is disgusting. These people have no bounds,” he added.

Cathriona died in September 2015 after overdosing on prescription medication.

Just days after her fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Stpehanie Davis, debuted a brand-new look, Megan McKenna decided to get in on the action.

And if her Instagram account is anything to go by, her fans and followers are all over it.

Sharing a snap of herself rocking a long slick style with thick blunt fringe, Megan wrote: "Heyyyyyy  Thankyou so much @shane_o_sullivan for my new look! I am in love with my@easilockshair hair!!"

On the post which racked up more than 45,000 likes in an hour, one fan wrote: "Wow Megan! You look amazing! That hair cut really suits you!"

Using Megan's snap to weigh in on the current Pet Wixks drama, she added: "Mind you, you would look beautiful in a bin bag! Pete must be insane to mess you around. Onwards and upwards girl! The world is your oyster."

And while some fans were effusive in their praise, other followers were clearly schooled in the backhanded compliment way of life.

"Can't say I've always been a fan of your look (a bit chavvy for me) but honestly, this is stunning," she wrote.

Well, we're sure Megan will be only thrilled with that one…

Look, we'd be the first to admit that there'd want to be a fairly hefty sum of money waiting for us if we were to agree to a trip through New York's 'scariest haunted house'.

And by the looks of things, that was also Kevin Hart's and Jimmy Fallon's criteria when it came to taking a trip through Blood Manor for Jimmy's nightly talk show.

Having survived a now infamous rollercoaster ride together in 2014, the two showbiz mates decided to show viewers exactly what they were made of by taking on the Blood Manor challenge.

And it turns out they're not made of much.

From Jimmy's pre-pubscent screams to Kevin admitting the whole situation was 'giving him gas', these two lads would have been better suited to a brief ride on the ghost train.

Like, we genuinely think we could have handled this… ahem.
