We're only two weeks in, and it looks like Lord Sugar isn't the only one who can barely believe this year's Apprentice contestants have made it as far as they have in life.

Following last night's episode which saw teams, Titan and Nebular, go head to head in an advertising campaign for Japanese jeans, Twitter went into complete overdrive.

From Jessica's tearful meltdown to Karthik's nonstop ranting, this year's contestants have a long way to go before they've proven they're up to the task.

And with Lord Sugar looking like he'd be more than happy to pull the plug on the whole thing with every passing moment, this year's series is definitely one of the most tense to date.

Thankfully however, the episode – which saw neither team win – was peppered with classic one-liners, woeful puns and individuals you wouldn't leave in charge of a balloon, let alone a quarter of a mill investment.

Twitter, take it away.

Just days after Geordie Shore's Scotty T opened up about his struggle with ADHD and hypomania, TOWIE's Sam Faiers chose to discuss her experience living with OCD – Trichotillomania.

Addressing fans and followers in a YouTube video, Sam explained that she has lived with the compulsion to pull out her eyelashes since the age of eight.

The 25-year-old reality star recalled the seemingly innocent incident which set the habit in motion before explaining that recent sessions with a psychotherapist shed further light on the compulsive habit.

With the help of the therapist, Sam soon realised that her habit was accelerated by the trauma of seeing her father imprisoned.

While Sam has been told that trichotillomania is relatively common, she hopes sharing her experience will help other sufferers.

At this stage we all know that Zayn Malik felt hemmed in during his time in One Direction.

Having joined the group aged only 17, Zayn didn't even own a passport when Simon Cowell worked his magic and made him, Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis one of the biggest pop bands in living memory.

And while Zayn lapped it up at the beginning, he hasn't denied the fact that there came a point when he no longer wanted to conform to the boy band way of life, and eventually jumped ship.

And, sure, he's often cited the band's sound and image as something he railed against, but it turns out something even more pressing was weighing on his mind during his time with ID.

Zayn wanted to write about sex, and damn it, no one would let him.

Opening up about the barriers which restricted his creative process in his autobiography, the now 23-year-old explained that once he went solo he was able to write more sexy lyrics than you could shake a stick at.

"I was also able to sing about a subject that I hadn’t really been able to go near while I was in One Direction: sex," he explained.

“Every lyric I’ve ever written has a story behind it. All the hard work that went into the creation of Pillowtalk was worthwhile because, as soon as it was finished, I intuitively felt I was on the right path."

Thrilled by his debut single's performance, Zayn gushed: "It was a sick cut, nailing the exact sound I wanted to capture in my music."

Good man yourself, Zayn.

Full disclosure: we dropped the ball on our round-the-clock Jaden Smith watch at some point in the recent past, and it turns out we missed A LOT during that time.

While we simply assumed he was busy composing more enlightening tweets on subjects like education and nutrition, it turns out Jaden was actually doing what we all do during a hangover day – hiding from natural light.

Why? Because he was a vampire, ladies, that's why.

Revealing all during an interview with French fashion magazine Numéro, the 18-year-old actor explained: "I was a vampire, for real. I could not expose myself to the sun and I was only wearing black trench coats."

"During a period of my life, I was Gothic. I was only wearing black and I was hiding from the sun because I was a vampire." he explained.

Thankfully for everyone involved, Jaden ultimately decided it was time to shed the trench and re-enter the world as we know it.

"Now I’m not a vampire, I’m out of this phase," he assured all concerned parties. "I open myself up to wear brighter things, to go out in daylight. I share much more mixed energy."

You hear that? He shares much more mixed energy.

We're all safe.

It looks like Rihanna isn't the only one who can post cryptic messages in the aftermath of a break-up if Drake's latest Instagram offering is anything to go by.

In a move which has fans and followers questioning just what went on between himself and the We Found Love singer, Drake shared a pretty sombre shot and accompanied it with an even more mournful message.

The post, which has clocked up 622,000 likes in just a day, suggested that Drake was having trouble with the fall-out from his split with Rihanna.

Too mix up in drama to free my mind but I'm praying for you even in your darkest times.

"Too mix up in drama to free my mind but I'm praying for you even in your darkest times", he wrote on his Instagram yesterday.

Offering the Hotline Bling singer some support, one fan wrote: "I am praying for you. You are much stronger than you think. You need to find yourself Drake."

"Let go of Rih for now. I know it’ll be hard cos you love her but it is best." they added.

Drake's post comes after Rihanna threw shade at her exes in a message on Instagram earlier this week.

Recent studies have shown that the use of punctuation in text messages can send most of us into an absolute meltdown.

From using fullstops to omitting emojis, the textual landscape is an absolute minefield.

And nowhere is this more prevalent than in exchanges which play out between us and our significant others.

From the one-word response to the passive-aggressive intro, we’ve rounded up the worst texts you can send or receive if you’re hoping to actually, you know, stay in your relationship.

1. The 'fake concerned' text

He said he'd be back after two pints, but six hours later you're crawling into bed alone.

"Hey babe, can you let me know you're OK when you find a second please?"

2. The 'one-word' text

When you're angry, but can't be arsed explaining yourself, so you go for the classic 'one word' reply.

"Fine."

3. The 'fullstop-laden' text

You'd rather die than let that eejit off the hook, so you send more fullstops than you can shake a stick at.

"OK. I don't mind. See you later."

4. The 'cryptic' text

You've decided he doesn't ask enough about your day, so you play him at his own game by spoonfeeding him information like you'll be charged for it.

"I don't know. Maybe 8pm. Oh, you don't know them. Where? Dunno."

5. The 'throwback' text

You're irked but can't decide why, so you rack your brain for something to fight about

"Remember that time you smiled at the girl on the Luas? Remind me again what that was about."

6. The 'drunk with the girls' text

You think you're looking sexy and being hilarious, but he thinks you sound drunk and are being ridiculous.

"Babe, remember the guy I used fancy? He's here and asked to buy me a drink. As if… lol… wait. Hello?"

7. The 'purposefully annoying' text

You know he's watching a match, but you don't see why he can't text at the same time.

"Who's winning? Anyway, will I get a blunt fringe or not? And did I tell you what your one in work said?"

8. The ' I didn't see it' text

He asked about plans you have no interest in, so you don't reply and then play the dumb card.

"And what time was that at, hun? Oh God, I don't know how I missed it…"

9. The 'awkward' sext

You think you're going to make his day with a random sext during the afternoon slump, and you get no reply.

"Eh hello? My bra? Write back!"

If you – like us – struggle to maintain a kale-obsessed, protein-fuelled diet because… well… snore, then this incredible little device is about to become your best friend.

Aimed at people who would rather opt for cake over cucumber, scientists have come up with an ingenious little gadget which TRICKS your mouth into thinking you're a kale kinda girl.

The Taste Buddy, which is placed inside the mouth before eating a less than desirable foodstuff, has been designed to emit thermal and electric signals which stimulate the taste buds and trick the individual into enjoying the food.

As it stands, the current model only offers a sweet or salty mode, but researchers behind the tool are confident that they will soon be in a position to transform the taste of all food.

"What started out as a fun engineering experiment has now led to something much more exciting with the potential to have a positive social impact," Adrian Cheok  – creator of the device – explained.

The device, which is a 2cm tab is heat-activated tool, will be available for the public to try for the first time at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair early next year.

We'll take 'em all.

Most of us grew up knowing that when it came to Irish icons, Gay Byrne wasn't far off it.

Whether it was hearing his radio show on days off school, waiting on the Tayto and Club Orange you got once The Late Late kicked off on a Friday night or giving The Meaning of Life a cursory glance as an adult, Uncle Gaybo has been with us every step of the way.

So, it's probably no surprise that when Tallaght-born comedian, Al Porter, was offered some sage advice from the man himself, he grabbed it with both hands.

Speaking to RSVP, Al revealed that Gay had suggested he ditch the booze during performances after seeing the young comedian struggle to keep up after downing pints.

"I had a beer on stage with me at the gig and I was drinking the beer and the audience started to cheer, 'down it, 'down it' and I did. I had told a guy on the crew when I finished  my pint to put another one at the side of the stage," Al recalled.

"He put one out and the audience thought it was a joke so they started to say 'down it, down it'. So, for the craic, I downed that one too and for the next couple of jokes, I had to suppress getting sick on stage," he admitted.

Explaining that the situation hadn't escaped Gay, Al said: "Nobody really noticed, but Gay did. He told me he loved the show, but then said, 'Don't drink on stage, it's not professional and I don't like it. You are in control, not the audience.'"

And, according to Al, he's been on the water ever since.

Mr. Byrne? You job here is done.

Most grooms fear they'll return from their stag do in some way incapacitated, but for one lad from Roscommon the bad luck befell him before the whistle was officially blown on his pre-wedding celebrations in Poland.

And it looks like his wingmen are more than happy to go on without him… as long as they can find a suitable replacement.

Taking to Done Deal with a clear mission, more than 20 lads from the West explain the need for a quick deal, stating: "Unfortunately the stag had accident with stairs broken ribs punctured lung bla bla bla."

Putting the call out for a replacement stag, the lads – with clear concern for their fallen brother – gave a quick round-up of what would be required of their new mate.

'Must be fit, healthy and able to answer to Eamo." the ad reads. "Must be good craic and have passport. Leaving Roscommon 12.30 Friday. €100 to change name on ticket. Good weekend assured."

Who'd say no to that?!
