With shows like The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea constantly blurring the lines between fact and fiction, it's no real surprise that the public often find themselves questioning whether reality shows – in their original definition – even exist anymore.

For a long time, Geordie Shore was touted as one of the few remaining reality shows which didn't manipulate scenes, create story lines or provide scripts.

"We couldn't be like TOWIE. We wouldn't be able to remember our scripts," Gaz assured sceptics whenever the subject arose.

But it looks like his co-star, Chantelle Connelly, is having trouble keeping a lid on the whole thing if remarks she made on social media ar anything to go by.

While responding to criticism that she had been unfaithful to boyfriend Tommy Sayers, Chantelle hit back insisting that a kiss she shred with Gaz had been part of the show's story line.

After being accused of cheating, Chantelle raged: "Think you need to get your facts right! My bf knew I had to have a story line with Gary." (sic)

"Was totally honest with him and he was ok with it!" the Geordie star added.

Raging with Chantelle for blowing the show's cover, one MTV fan remarked: "Storyline #all #false @chantellegshore just spoilt @geordieshoremtv for us all there or just me."

Well, that's it ladies, the dream's over.

As his wife is forced to endure unnecessary scrutiny in the aftermath of her ex-husband's divorce from Angelina Jolie, Justin Theroux would be justified in shutting down any reporter who quizzed him on the celebrity split.

But it looks like Justin has decided to take the high road and has, instead, expressed concern for the couple's six children.

Speaking to Business Insider, Justin offered a personal insight into divorce and reminded the public that empathy is vital during these situations.

"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children, and that's all you can really say," he responded.

The actor, who recently revealed the key to his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, admitted he didn't feel overly compelled to comment on the split which has dominated headlines over the past seven days.

"It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time. That's horrible," he added.

Justin and Jennifer tied the knot last year after four years of dating.

If there’s anything we love more than boozy cocktails, it’s boozy bespoke cocktails.

Created just for us and with more than a passing nod to all our favourite flavours and garnishes – bespoke cocktails allow us to channel our inner Carrie Bradshaw without all the whinging.

And with a ‘bring your own cocktail’ pop-up bar opening in Dublin next month, it’s no real surprise that everyone here at SHEmazing! HQ has cleared their entire diary for the Autumn/ Winter period.

Located on Francis Street, Drop Dead Twice provides a two-hour slot for just €20 – yes, you read that right – and allows customers to bring their spirit of choice along with them.

Once you and the ladies have pulled up a stool, the bar’s expert mixologists will get to work creating five completely bespoke cocktails using a range of mixer, liqueurs and garnishes.

Opening its doors on October 13th and catering to the Irish public until December 31st, Drop Dead Twice is our new one-stop shop for all things cocktail-related.

But with just over 10 weeks to enjoy it and savour all they have to offer, it looks like we’re going to have to bring some birthdays forward.

Ladies? You’re welcome.

Looking for a place in Dublin is a nightmare right now.

Whether you're competing with over-eager house-hunters who will stop at nothing to get their feet under the table or grappling with the astronomical cost of rent these days, finding somewhere to call your own is a minefield.

But fear not! If you're currently hoping to relocate and would like to set up shop in a place most people reserve for rusty bikes and toolboxes, you can!

And it will only set you back €890 a month… plus bills.

Located in Drimnagh, this one-bed shed is advertised as a studio flat and while it has a separate entrance from the main house, it only offers minimal cooking facilities (except for a hob and microwave) and the washing machine can be found in a separate shed.

Currently advertised on Daft, this 'studio flat' is described as a 'compact dwelling… just minutes walk from the Red line Luas."

Form an orderly queue now, ladies.

While rumours may be circulating that Zayn Malik is struggling to maintain his solo career on account of anxiety issues, it doesn't sound like the Bradford-native misses being part of a band.

Opening up about his decision to leave the five-piece at the height of their success, 23-year-old Zayn insists that he knew he was reaching the end of this time with his band mates.

"I just knew it was my time," Zayn explained in a recent interview with Highsnobiety. "I knew I wanted to do something different and start expressing the way I felt about certain things."

Widely considered the quietest member of the band, fans and followers feared that the singer would be the first to call it quits and it seems Zayn picked up on this.

"I know that musicians are seen as one-sided people a lot of the time. But we do have other elements to us as well. I didn't feel good. Do you know what I mean?"

Confident he made the right decision last year, Zayn added: "And if you don't feel good… you need to be able to express what it is that you are. I'm free at last."

And while he knows there is a huge amount of public interest in his life and career, Zayn is unwillingly to feed into the hype.

"I think it's a dangerous road to go down, thinking of yourself as a celebrity, because then you somehow automatically think that label makes you superior to other people," he reasoned.

No regrets, right?

The vast majority of us have, at some stage in our lives, tried to hide the fact we're ever so slightly intoxicated from our parents.

Whether it was sneaking up the stairs before passing out behind the shower curtain at 18 or feigning surprise at the number of gins we got through after Christmas dinner at 25, protecting your parents from your vices is just something you do.

And our thoughtful nature in this regard means that the notion of being wrongly accused just doesn't sit well with most of us… including poor ol' Rachel Gelmis from the United States.

Having been subjected to a drug test at her high school four years ago, officials asserted that the then 16-year-old Rachel was positively chock-full of illegal drugs – heroin, meth, pot and cocaine… the works.

Except she wasn't.

"I was freaking out!" Rachel told BuzzFeed. "I was so scared. I kept racking my brain for a reason that I might have tested positive for everything, and I had no idea.”

After being forced to choose between rehab options with her parents, the school eventually fessed up and admitted they had completely misread the teen's results.

So, Rachel's mam did what any upstanding mother would do in that instance – she poured her heart out through the medium of baking.

In other words, she apologised with the help of a lot of blue icing.

And in a throwback move this week, Rachel decided to share an image of the dessert with social media users, writing: "That time my mom genuinely believed I was doing every drug at once bc my idiot school misread my drug test."

Humble pie much?!

“What’s the Facebook that fades?”

Familiar as I am with trying to follow my mother’s somewhat erratic train of thought, this one, in particular, threw me.

“The… sorry… the Facebook that fades?” I repeated slowly.

“Don’t look at me like I’ve ten heads. Just tell me,” she demanded.

Staring straight ahead, I tried to visualise a social media page that fades, and then the penny dropped.

“Snapchat?” I ventured.

“That’s the one!” she beamed. “The kids are mad for it. Are you on it?”

The woman – who thinks I should work for Google because I know how to turn off our router – stared at me beseechingly.

She waited for me to tell her all about this magic fading Facebook so she could commit the information to memory for ten minutes before forgetting we ever had the conversation.

And I couldn’t let her down.

“Yeah Mam, I’m on it. All the time. Love it. Can’t get enough. Bye now. Have to go snappin’ and chattin’. Laters.”

I’m not on Snapchat.

And this is because I’m 29, and must resign myself to the notion that Snapchat is for kids… or people with much more patience than me.

I have officially mastered all the social media sites I’ll ever need to, and I’m just gonna have to live without this one.

Don’t get me wrong; I tried, alright.

Oh, I downloaded it, and I made some pals, and I got random photos of people with dogs' ears on their heads, and then I deleted it.

Because… what the hell?

“But it’s so much craic,” I’m told.

Well, either I’m no longer any craic or they’ve changed what craic is, but seeing a photo of my friend with a rainbow over their head is about as funny as… well… it’s not that funny.

And even if I did love it, and couldn’t get enough of their slick rainbow stylings, I’d have ten seconds to enjoy it before it disappears forever.

What the hell is the point?

And believe me, I was more than happy to rattle out this spiel whenever the subject arose, but as the months go on I’m getting fewer and fewer nods of recognition.

In fact, my disdain – OK fine, my confusion – regarding the app is now met with the same face I reserve for my father when he insists he can’t work our family’s cordless phone – incredulity mixed with smugness followed by a large helping of fear.

“I might turn out like her one day,” they’re thinking. “Christ, she’s probably still on Bebo.”

I’m not on Bebo, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Jimmy Kimmel’s Lie Witness News segment, it’s that the public really don’t like to admit when they don’t know the answer to something.

From bigging up bands which don’t exist to weighing in on a debate which has yet to happen, there isn’t a subject we don’t think we can wing when it comes to the crunch.

Unfortunately for the US public, Jimmy Kimmel and his crew are often on hand to expose the gaps in their knowledge, and while it’s hideous for those involved, it’s pretty hilarious for the rest of us.

Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump went head to head in a presidential debate, and while most people had a lot to say in the aftermath, there were a select few who thought they could offer their opinion on certain remarks… before they had even been made.

Oh, you guys!

After 69 years attending the annual matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna, one 92-year-old farmer from Tipperary hasn't given up hope that he'll one day meet the woman of his dreams.

Speaking ahead of the festival's 160th anniversary this year, bachelor Mick Burke revealed that while he often came away with a 'pocketful of phone numbers' he never had any intention of tying the knot.

"I fell in love with several women I met in Lisdoonvarna. I used to go home with a pocketful of phone numbers – this was my fodder for the winter!" Mick said, according to The Independent.

After almost seven decades attending the well-known festival, Mick hasn't tired of the routine, saying: "I love coming back every year, meeting old friends and dancing and there’s never any trouble here."

"I would say the best thing about coming to Lisdoonvarna is to come with no expectations and you will never be disappointed."

Despite years of dating, Mick never made it up the aisle and firmly believes the remote location of his farm had an influence on potential partners.

"Once I was dating a woman from Dublin and she came to visit me on the farm," Mick recalled.

"It was particularly bad winter and we got snowed in for a few days. After the snow thawed she got straight on a train back to Dublin and that was the end of that."

"I think the remote location put a lot of women off," he added.

Reluctant to give up on love, Mick insisted: "I have to go as far as my eyes can see."

And now we're melting.

As the US presidential campaign went up a gear this week, Katy Perry decided to contribute to the discussion by reminding US citizens to exercise their right to vote on November 8.

And she did it naked.

Teasing fans with her plan on Twitter yesterday, Katy tweeted: "TOMORROW, I USE MY BODY AS CLICK BAIT TO HELP CHANGE THE WORLD."

And after spending much of the intervening period sharing her thoughts on last night's presidential debate, Katy finally revealed her video.

Created in conjunction with Rock the Vote, the Firework singer assured the public that it didn't matter what you were rocking when you rocked your vote as long as you had your say in one of the most controversial presidential campaigns in US history.

From your PJs to your birthday suit, it's all good in the American Constitution… until it isn't.

Turns out Katy needed to brush up a little on her polling booth etiquette, but hey she was half right…right?

21st birthday parties are a big business.

But when you’re a member of one of the most famous families on the planet Earth, big doesn’t cover it… and Las Vegas heavy-hitters know this.

Determined to attach their venue to the publicity surrounding Kendall Jenner’s milestone birthday in November, owners of numerous high-end nightclubs in Las Vegas are currently in a high-scale bidding war to secure the event.

And according to insiders, the competition is only going to heat up as the model’s big day edges ever closer.

“She is the biggest 21st birthday ‘get’ since Justin Bieber – and the money’s already at Bieber levels,” an insider revealed.

As it stands, bidding has already reached the $1 million dollar mark, and something tells us those Las Vegas bigwigs wouldn’t be backing down any time soon.

It's a world away from the local GAA, right?

At this stage, we’ve all heard that placing your phone in a bowl of rice will dry it out if it makes contact with water, right?

But did you know that you could create a handy little headphone jack with just a power tool and a total loss of common sense?

Well, you can!

If YouTube is anything to go by, a worrying number of iPhone 7 users have fallen for an online prank which promises to help them create the headphone jack that Apple didn’t deem necessary to include in its latest design.

And depending on your perspective, the prank worked a treat, with the cerebrally challenged among us actually taking a drill to their new device.

“I tried this, and now there's no sound coming out my phone,” lamented one while another explained: “I drilled the hole in it. The headphone doesn't go all the way in.”

“Do I need to drill deeper? Also my phone turned off because of low battery I think. I'm charging it for an hour now it doesn't turn on, is this normal?”

But while some people were getting busy with their drill bits, countless others were feeding into the prank by leaving ‘helpful’ tips on YouTube.

“If you make a horizontal cut with a blade, you can also have expandable memory,” revealed one.

“If you throw your phone off into the Grand Canyon and the put a jack-hammer to it, it gives you unlimited apps for free and unlimited memory!” advised another. “If you throw it into a volcano it will print money!”

You heard him, guys.
