If you've spent much of your life wishing you could be more positive and productive in the morning, then you may need to take a lesson from this adorable daddy/ daughter duo.

Currently taking social media by storm, Ron Alston and his daughter Aliya gave the world an insight into their morning routine, and it really makes us question our 'drooling on the Luas' approach to the day.

Standing in front of a bathroom mirror, Ron helped his three-year-old child recite a list of affirmations to prepare her for the day ahead.

From reminding herself of her good qualities to promising to respect others, Aliya's start to the day beats ours hands down… and that includes the days we manage to dry our hair, wear mascara and make it to our desk in time.

Racking up more than 12,000,000 hits in just two weeks, this is daily inspiration many of us have been looking for.

Ah, the National Ploughing Championships – yep, it’s officially that time of the year again, ladies.

And by the looks of things, rugby star, Dave Kearney, decided to go all out for the big occasion which identifies and awards top dairy farmers around the country.

As an ambassador for the National Dairy Council, Dave is no stranger to the Ploughing Championships, but this may be the first time he channelled his inner NSYNC member in honour of the popular event.

Who's the strongest?! #todaysor #rteradio1 #ploughing16 @robkearney @dave.kearney

Inexplicably opting for the bleached blonde look at this year’s championships, Dave seemed only delighted with himself while making a special appearance alongside his brother, Rob.

Sharing a snap of the duo on their Instagram page this afternoon, RTÉ Radio 1 got busy asking which sibling was strongest while the rest of us got busy wondering what exactly Dave had been thinking…

As of today, Leap Card users will be able to use their cards for more than just the city’s train, bus and tram systems.

According to emerging reports, us lucky Dubliners will be able to use our Leap Cards to access the hugely popular Dublin Bike scheme.

And while we won’t be able to pay for the bike trip through our Leap Card account, it does allow us to hold registration for both schemes on one card – vital when you considered the weight of our handbags, right?

“This will make it very easy and convenient for new and existing bike share members, to easily link with other modes of public transport,” Lord Mayor of Dublin Brendan Carr said.

“I have no doubt this will prove to be an attractive feature for commuters who want to use the one card to link their bike journeys with other sustainable public transport services, at various connection points across the city,” he added.

Those of you who are already registered with Dublin Bikes can link your Leap Card to your account by following the instructions on the Dublin Bike website while those who are new to the scheme can choose to register with a Leap Card or a Coca-Cola Zero dublinbike membership card.

Considering the success of the Leap Card, Anne Graham,  chief executive NTA, is confident the new development will be widely welcomed.

“Adding the customer ID for Coca-Cola Zero dublinbikes to the LEAP Card should make people’s journeys around town a little easier; with the bike scheme accessible on the Leap Card, people will have one less card to carry around,” she said.

With a nod to those who have yet to make use of the bike scheme, Ronan Farren, Director of Public Affairs and Communication said: “ We hope that this move, which further integrates the city’s public transport system, will enable those who haven’t tried the scheme yet to give it a go.”

On yer bike, ladies.

Four teenage girls who were caught in a rip current in Bundoran over the weekend are trying to make contact with the bodyboarders who rescued them.

The girls got into difficulty while swimming at a beach in the County Donegal town just after 6.30pm on Saturday.

According to The Irish Times, the group had been helped to safety by a number of bodyboarders before the Bundoran Lifeboat – which had been deployed after a member of the public called 999 – arrived on the scene.

The girls were airlifted to Sligo Hospital on a precautionary basis and have since been released.

They have asked for the bodyboarders to come forward so they can thank them in person.

The group can be contacted through the Bundoran Lifeboat Station Facebook page or email at bundoran@rnli.org.uk.

Jim Carrey has released a statement after being sued for wrongful death by the estranged husband of his late girlfriend Cathriona White.

A coroner previously ruled that Cathriona, a native of Tipperary, took her own life Los Angeles last September, but Mark Burton, who was still married to Cathriona at the time of her death, has contradicted the ruling.

Filing a case against Jim Carrey, Burton claims Mr. Carrey provided Cathriona with prescription medication, saying: "Carrey wrongfully and illegally obtained these drugs in clear violation of California law."

Further to this, he accused Carrey of trying to "conceal and obfuscate his involvement and culpability in Miss White's untimely and tragic death".

Speaking out in the aftermath of the legal filing, the 54-year-old actor released a statement denying all accusations.

"What a terrible shame. It would be easy for me to get in a back room with this man's lawyer and make this go away, but there are some moments in life when you have to stand up and defend your honor against the evil in this world," it read.

"I will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved. Cat's troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone's control," the star insisted.

"I really hope that some day soon people will stop trying to profit from this and let her rest in peace," he added.

Speaking to E!, legal expert, Troy Slaten, offered his assessment of the case, saying: "To prevail in this civil wrongful death lawsuit, the plaintiff must prove that Jim Carrey was the 'proximate cause' of this woman's death."

"In order for the police to investigate Jim Carrey on this matter, they have to believe that, one, a crime occurred and, two, Carrey likely committed the crime." Troy continued.

"After the police fully investigate a case, they present it to the district attorney with a recommendation. It's up to the district attorney to decide whether and what kind of criminal charges are to be filed."

"Even if Jim Carrey loses this lawsuit, he does not face any jail time arising out of this civil litigation." he added.

Let's face it, Marnie Simpson has made her career from going out, guzzling down and getting 'mortal'.

But it looks like the hard partying lifestyle is taking its toll on the reality star's body after she was recently rushed to hospital.

Opening up about her experience in her column for Star magazine, the 24-year-old admitted that professionals fear her symptoms stem from excessive alcohol consumption.

"I was rushed to hospital last week with a kidney infection and kidney stones." she wrote.

"My kidneys aren’t working properly and doctors think it could be from drinking too much alcohol," Marnie revealed in a candid assessment of her hospital stay.

Marnie, who recently told Twitter followers that her 'body was giving up' on her, explained that she had been out with a  former co-star when she was unable to continue socialising.

"I went out with Charlotte Crosby last week and only lasted an hour because I had no energy," Marnie explained.

Thankfully, Marnie's mum, who championed her throughout her controversial stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, is currently on hand.

After 13 years together, James Barry decided to pop the question to childhood sweetheart, Orla Gallagher, and Instagram can barely contain themselves over it.

Enlisting the help of sand artist Sean Corcoran, the City of Waterford Brass Band and photographer Alan Magner, James set the scene for one of the biggest moments in his relationship.

And he nailed it.

On a wet and windy Sunday morning, James took Orla to Stradbally Cove where he revealed an enormous heart drawn in the sand which contained the words 'Orla. will you marry me?'

As Orla was led across the beach, the band began playing Gilbert O'Sullivan's Matrimony as the photographer captured the moment on camera.

"So on a rainy day, in Stradbally, James proposed to Orla and she said "YES" wrote Alan on Instagram.  "It's been weeks in the making."

"One path created, one sand artist@the_art_hand, one marching band, one rainy day and one couple in love, it's been fun and I'm delighted to have been a part of it."

Commenting on the selection of photos, Alan wrote: "It was so much fun, got absolutely soaked but it was totally worth it!"

Instagram users couldn't get enough of the footage, with one writing: "Every other guy in Waterford will now have to step his game up massively!"

"Awww lucky lady, that's so adorable!" added another.

Ladies, we're officially melting.

If you happened to be staying in Schull Harbour Hotel at the weekend, and didn't get a glimpse of the red-haired wonder that is Mr. Ed Sheeran, you have our deepest sympathies.

It turns out good ol' Ed, who was recently cut from a Beatles movie, decided to get a little secret R&R on the Emerald Isle this weekend, and Facebook is now having a field day.

Sharing a snap of the award-winning star, staff at the hotel wrote: "Look who popped in for a fry up this morning! #edsheeran#yummybreakfasts #schull."

Some fans were devastated that the singer had rocked up to the People's Republic without so much as a heads-up, with one social media user lamenting: "Cant believe Ed was in Cork and I didn't know."

"Let's call in sick tomorrow and try to find him," wrote one girl whose mission is definitely clear.

And other fans felt more concern for Ed that he hadn't gotten a taster of their bants, with one Facebook user writing: "Imagine how much fun he would have had with us!"

"Oh he would have been WEAK for us…." added another.

Too true girls, too true.

Just days after gushing over her 'special' relationship with Justin Bieber, Sofia Richie and the Love Yourself singer have called time on their romance.

The couple, who had been dating just six weeks, came to the public's attention in August when Justin shared a snap of the pair looking cosy on Instagram.

And, as expected, all hell broke loose.

After being slammed by his followers and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez for flaunting his budding romance with Nicole Richie's younger sister, Justin did what he does best – threw a major strop and deleted his Insta account.

"I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand." Justin raged. "If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people like that.”

And whether pressure from fans or scorn from an ex took its toll on their romance, no one is quite sure, but reports emerging Stateside have confirmed that Jofia are officially no more.

"They’re broken up for now," a source told PEOPLE this week.

Although if his insiders are to be believed, Justin and 18-year-old Sofia's relationship was never built to last.

"These girls all go crazy for him, but he’s not settling down. It’s virtually impossible where he’s at in his life and career for anything to last with these girls," they previously said.

Lucky escape for Sofia, perhaps?

To some, Kim Kardashian is nothing more than a poster girl for nude selfies and high-profile marriages, but to millions more she is an astute businesswoman who often lends her voice to discussion surrounding race relations and various other cultural issues.

And as a woman of Armenian descent, Kim took exception to the Wall Street Journal's decision to accept for publication a full-page ad which denied the Armenian genocide of 1915.

In response to the ad which ran in April of this year, Kim, who recently visited her ancestors' homeland, took out a full-page ad in the New York Times deriding the WSJ's decision to run the denial.

While Kim spoke of her disgust in a blog entry at the time of the ad's publication earlier this year, the reality star knew she would reach a different demographic by reiterating her thoughts in the New York Times.

"Money talks, and right now it’s talking crap," she wrote. "My family and I are no strangers to BS in the press. We’ve learned to brush it off."

"Lies make good headlines, good headlines make great covers, great covers sell magazines. But when I heard about this full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal denying the Armenian genocide, I couldn’t just brush it off," she continued.

Addressing the theory that Armenians were to blame for the 1.5 million deaths in 1915, Kim wrote: "For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting, and dangerous."

"It’s one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like the WSJ to profit from genocide –  it’s shameful and unacceptable," she said.

An emotional day at the genocide museum.

"If this had been an ad denying the Holocaust, or pushing some 9/11 conspiracy theory, would it have made it to print?" she asked. "We have to honor the truth in our history so that we protect their future. We have to do better than this."

Kim has been commended for her contribution to the argument, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.

"KimKardashian please do more like this, your voice is so powerful & strong, so many people begging to be helped and heard." wrote one of the star's followers this week.

When it comes to the red carpet, there's no doubt that Amy Schumer sees it as the perfect platform to showcase her offbeat humour.

Using it as an extension of her TV and film sets, the actress is much more content to crack a few gags and fall at the feet of Kim and Kanye than chat about her gown with the rest of them.

And this year's Emmys was no different.

While being interviewed by Giuliana Rancic alongside her sister Kim, the Trainwreck actress responded to the classic 'Who are you wearing?' question with something that could ONLY have come out of Amy Schumer's mouth.

Ladies, behold.

At this stage of the game, we’re used to our pals across the Irish Sea coveting what’s ours.

From the British media claiming Colin Farrell and Katy Taylor as their own when it suits them to discovering Netflix have categorised Brooklyn under 'Best of British', the whole thing is a running joke at this stage.

Unfortunately though for one sports broadcaster right now, no one’s laughing.

While covering the Dublin v Mayo game last night, a Sky Sports presenter made a gaffe of such epic proportions we‘re still cringing into our hands here at SHEmazing! HQ.

Despite mentioning Irish counties and running footage which included the Irish National Anthem, this woman was fairly certain that thousands of us had tuned into the All-England final yesterday.

That's right, the All-England.

Prepare yourself for this one, ladies.
