We generally expect our phones to bow to our every command, and for the most part they do.

But when the fight back, they really fight back.

And it sounds like the new iPhone 7 has no problem showing its user when it's done with their demands if emerging reports are anything to go by.

According to Twitter users, the latest model emits a strange hissing noise if overloaded or forced to run too many apps simultaneously.

Those in the know have suggested that the hissing noise is connected to something known as 'coil whine', and it appears the sound is not, in fact, unique to the iPhone 7 or 7 plus, with older models also emitting the noise on occasion.

'Coil whine' or not, Twitter users needed to have their say on this one…

He may have looked pretty slick on the night, but it looks like the run-up to the Emmy Awards was anything but plain-sailing for Jimmy Kimmel.

In footage which has racked up more than a quarter of a million hits in less than 24 hours, the much-loved host can be seen hitchhiking to the venue with the help of some of our favourite TV stars.

After escaping the clutches of Modern Family's Phil and enthusiastically chiming in with everyone's favourite driver (James Corden, obvs) Jimmy finds himself, yet again, without a ride to the show.

The intro to this year's awards has come in for massive praise from YouTubers, with one writing: "Jimmy Kimmel is f**king gold."

"Funniest guy on late night currently imo," added another.

Ladies, check this out!

You know that feeling you get when you stay at a luxury hotel or spa resort, and can’t ever see yourself leaving?

The notion that we must return to our bog-standard lives doesn’t sit well with any of us as we luxuriate on king-size beds and pretend not to notice how much they’re charging for a Snickers in the mini-bar.

But we man up, and check out because that’s just what you’re meant to do, right?

Well, not according to Malaysian businessman, Raejali Buntut, who spent three weeks living the high life after missing his flight to Kaula Lumpur.

According to the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old spent the best part of a month flaking out in executive airport lounges after downloading and editing images of boarding passes issued by Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines.

After inserting false information into more than 31 images, Raejali tucked into top-notch meals, got his chill in front of the TV and curled up for a snooze in a variety of plush loungers laid on for the more privileged among us.

But after arousing the suspicion of airport staff, Raejali, former business development manager with Royale Consultant Management, was eventually arrested and charged with forgery before being jailed for two weeks.

Ah, Raejali.

Ever since he began hosting Big Brother's Little Brother way back when, we've had a thing for Dermot O'Leary.

And after graduating from the reality show's spin-off programme, he came to further prominence as the host one of the biggest shows on the box – The X Factor.

So when he turned his back on the show last year, viewers were left distraught wondering if he'd ever make an reappearance.

Thankfully for Dermot die-hards, the 43-year-old did, and he gave everyone a right ol' treat in the process… well, that's if Twitter is anything to go by, that is.

While rocking a pair of fitted cream trousers during this weekend's episode of the singing contest, the presenter grabbed the attention of viewers who wasted no time sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

Jeez guys, contain yourselves.

As far as we're concerned here at SHEmazing! HQ, the kids from Stranger Things get more adorable with every passing day.

From Gaten Matarazzo's approach to photos with fans to Millie Bobby Brown's reaction to Aaron Paul's telephone interview, these young stars are a total breath of fresh air.

And just when we thought they couldn't get any sounder, they proved us wrong this weekend by cycling through the audience at the Emmy Awards while distributing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eager (and hungry) TV stars.

Dressed as the characters which propelled them to international stardom this summer, Gaten, Millie and Caleb provided some of Hollywood's biggest stars with America's favourite sandwich from the baskets of their classic 1980s bicycles.

Give each of those kids a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, damn it.

If you had been holding out hope that Dublin Bus drivers might rearrange their days of industrial action in order to facilitate commuters on the day of the All Ireland replay, you're about to be sorely disappointed.

According to reports, National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) general secretary Dermot O’Leary has expressed his distaste for the suggestion.

Speaking to The Journal, Mr. O'Leary insisted that demands to reschedule the strike on Saturday October 1 "just to facilitate a one-off occasion is frankly insulting to both staff and their regular commuters."

Further to this, Mr. O'Leary reminded the public that there will be two days of industrial action prior to the All Ireland replay meaning that the drivers' resolve is likely to be strengthened by the time the replay rolls around.

"Those who are calling for this suspension would be far better served if they were to focus their energies on getting this dispute resolved for the benefit of all those who use Dublin Bus services," he said in response to calls for a postponement of strike action on October 1.

Well, there you have it.

If you – like us – have been waiting with bated breath to get a peek at the peeps allowing TV3 into their living rooms for our viewing pleasure, the wait is now over.

Ahead of the show's launch this Thursday and in effort to keep us ticking over before the big moment, TV3 have introduced a few of their chosen telly addicts, and now we're even more excited.

First up are the Gruffertys from Co. Kildare.

Des, Laura, their daughter Danielle and the family's two Jack Russells might just be Ireland's answer to the McCormicks.

Next on the list are Aga and Szymon.

Originally from Poland, the couple met in college 16 years ago, and here's hoping they fill the void left in our hearts by Steph and Dom.

And finally we have mates Jamie, Lindsay, Ashley and Grainne from Cabra in Dublin.

Friends since childhood and die-hard reality show fans, something tells us we're going to love these ladies.

Let the slobbing out begin!

If you're a die-hard Harry Potter fan, then chances are you've probably spent more time than you'd like to admit pondering the place it all began – 4 Privet Drive.

The humble beginnings, where we first met Harry in JK Rowling's debut novel, set the stage for the epic journey which we went on alongside the young wizard for over a decade.

And now it's up for sale.

According to The Independent, the detached family home in Berkshire, which was chosen as the set of the Dursley's home in the first Harry Potter flick, is now on the market, and it can be yours for just £475,000.

Having previously gone on sale in May 2010 for £290,000, it looks like its association with the smash-hit franchise has done much to increase its value.

According to Chancellors estate agents, the three-bedroom property is 'situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location' and has 'recently undergone complete renovation to an extremely high standard.'

Oh, and the kicker? It still boasts Harry's famous cupboard under the stairs.

From his role as Joey in Friends to his recent gig on Top Gear, Matt LeBlanc has always been seen as cute, harmless and pretty damn lovable.

But it looks like a recent remark he made at the Emmys this weekend may go a long way towards turning that perception on its head.

While walking the red carpet at the weekend, the 49-year-old actor offered his opinion of Game of Thrones – and Twitter has been having a field day ever since.

While being interviewed alongside GoT's Emilia Clarke, Matt revealed he wasn't a die-hard fan of the show, but Emilia's nude scenes may change that.

"I saw the first season and then kind of fell out of touch with it…and I guess that’s when she started getting naked, so I need to catch up," he said.

And then all hell broke loose in the Twitosphere as social media users debated the nature of the comment.

According to the DSPCA, 59 puppies were seized at Dublin Port over the course of two nights this week.

On Tuesday evening, five puppies were seized by authorities while the following night a staggering 54 were discovered by the DSPCA , Customs Officers and Gardai.

It is understood the first five puppies had been concealed in a horse box while the other 54 had been hidden in a van.

According to the DSPCA’s Facebook page, both shipments were seized under the Pet Passport Regulations of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.

Over the last two months, authorities have recorded seven incidents of puppy smuggling bringing the total number of animals seized by officials to 150.

Commenting on the Facebook post, members of the public have expressed their distress over the recurring incidents.

“This will continue to happen until the Irish judicial system takes these crimes seriously and imposes proper sentences of imprisonment on these people and their associates,” wrote one Facebook user.

“Well done to all concerned in saving these beautiful pups thus allowing them find the best homes possible,” added another.

This week’s seizure, which consists of a mixture of small and medium breeds, are currently under the care of the DSPCA and receiving veterinary care.

Look, we’d be the first to admit that sports bars aren’t exactly top of our list when it comes to happening hotspots around the city.

Unless Ireland won or there was a 3 for 1 special on G&Ts, memory of time spent in sports bars aren’t our most cherished

And up until now, we’ve been of the opinion that it’s impossible to enjoy a night in a sports bar unless you enjoy sport, but it looks like new bar, Buskers on the Ball in Dublin’s Temple Bar Hotel, might have actually done the impossible.

The one of a kind social interactive sports bar and entertainment venue offers so much more than endless football or – God forbid – golf commentary,  and instead caters to anyone up for a bit of craic.

So, while your other half or football-obsessed mates are glued to the semi-final of whatever’s on, you can get stuck into games of ping-pong, pool, foosball and shuffle board.

Speaking at the launch on Fleet Street last night, General Manager Patrick Kenny: “We wanted to create a space where sport, socialising and entertainment all come together to create an experience that everyone can enjoy.”

“It doesn’t matter if you are here to cheer on your favourite team or to socialise and have fun – we have something for everyone.”

Oh, and the drink?

Well, from craft beer to cocktails, you won’t exactly be stuck for choice this weekend.

Aaaand it’s official – we’re converted.

As Carpool Karaoke segments go, Britney Spears' appearance on the uber-popular Late Late Show segment was underwhelming to say the least.

Maybe the bar had been set too high with past Carpoolers or maybe our inner teenyboppers just really wanted Britney to smash it, but for some reason, it just didn't, well, work.

And James Corden, who did his best to get Brit to chill out and loosen up, faced a grilling from fellow chatshow host Jimmy Kimmel this week when the guys sat down to the show’s Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts segment.

Going in for the kill, Jimmy asked: ”Were you as miserable doing Carpool Karaoke with Britney Spears as it looked like you were?”

Looking genuinely taken aback by the accusation, James replied: “I’m very sad it looked like that. I wasn’t, I wasn’t miserable at all. “

“It… it was great! I wasn’t, I genuinely wasn’t. I think she’s great. I do,” the British star added while trying to contain his nervous laughter.

But Jimmy wasn’t having it, and he made no secret of it either.

Skip to 3.00 for that magic moment.
