While we've always found Ben & Jerry's works best in the aftermath of a break-up, there is a school of thought which says the best way to get over a man is to get under another.

And it sounds like Gigi Hadid is a true believer in that one.

Barely a week after Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston called time on their three-month relationship, Taylor's BFF has decided it's time for her squad leader to move on… with a new man.

And in a bizarre turn of events considering the singer's relationship history, Taylor isn't actually with Gigi on that one.

Speaking to HollywoodLife, a source close to the ladies, said: "Gigi and Zayn want to set Taylor up with some of their friends but Taylor has no interest whatsoever.”

"Gigi and Zayn want Taylor to go on some double dates with them, and go out and be social," the insider explained before revealing that Taylor has different priorities right now.

It sounds like the Shake It Off singer has decided to take advice from Selena Gomez who reportedly encouraged the singer to focus on her career rather than potential relationships for the time being.

"Taylor knows they mean well," the insider continued. "But she’s choosing to remain solo and concentrate on new music."

From the moment Cheryl Cole stepped out in an ill-fitting grey dress at Liam Payne's sister's wedding earlier this year, rumours have been swirling that the former Girls Aloud singer may be pregnant.

The official line simply claimed that Cheryl, who has been dating Liam since December, didn't want to distract from the bride, and while not everyone was convinced, the speculation did indeed calm down for a month or two.

And then L'oreal only went and released their latest ad campaign and inadvertently stoked the fire again as viewers debated whether Cheryl's appearance might mean there could be a baby on board.

Looking stunning with a slightly fuller face than we're used to seeing her, Cheryl in addition to reminding us that she was worth it reminded die-hard Directioners that they had some speculating to do.

Taking to Twitter to gush over this unconfirmed pregnancy, one wrote: "Why did Liam suddenly change his bio and is like "the luckiest man" i think that Cheryl is pregnant omg!"

"Wait, what the f*ck? Is Cheryl pregnant?" questioned another social media user.

And while we all know Directioners are known for losing their cool from time to time, it seems they may have the backing of a few inside sources who recently revealed that Cheryl is currently preparing for motherhood.

"Cheryl's never been more determined to have a baby. It's like it's the only thing in the world that matters to her," they revealed.

"Cheryl has a stash of pregnancy and motherhood books she's always reading. She's never been so focused on something," they added.

Sounds like those eagle-eyed viewers may be on to something…

Remember the last time you were forced to justify your choice of knickers to a member of your community?

Yeah, us neither, but that's exactly what happened to 65-year-old Rozamund Perrin when she dared hang her underwear out to dry… in full view of a primary school in Stokeinteignhead, Devon.

We know, we can barely believe her cheek either.

Taking to Facebook to highlight the incident, Rozamund's daughter, Charlotte, explained that her mother had returned home to find her underwear pushed through the letterbox along with a note written by someone with absolutely no chill.

"It is total inapropriate for this type of garment ti be displayed opposite the village primary school," they raged. "There are member of this community that would welcome a halting of this." (sic)

Sharing an image of the 'offending' garment alongside the handwritten note online, Charlotte wrote: "Seriously the small minded , prudishness of this village is UNBELIEVABLE!"

"My mum found this note & her knickers posted through the door this morn ….didn't know there was a law against hanging your knickers on the line?? The prude can't spell either."

Unsurprisingly, Facebook is with Rozamund and Charlotte on this one, with one writing: "Such scandalous behaviour: wearing knickers, washing knickers and then drying knickers on the line. Tut tut."

"Oh my god, I can't believe they took them of the line!!! Let alone a letter!!! What a tw*t" added another.

No seriously, what is this life?

From Anap to Furnunculus and Langlock to Reducio, those Hogwarts kids had their work cut out for them mastering every spell in the book.

But one guy –  a Muggle, no less – has managed to incorporate almost every single spell into a rap, and YouTube officially has a new hero.

Alex Day uploaded the impressive footage on Monday, and since then the clicks have been going through the roof.

After sharing the words of the rap with YouTube users, Alex realised he had accidentally omitted Levicorpus, and used Mobilicorpus twice.

"I was devastated whe I realised," he wrote, but it doesn't look like anyone is holding it against him as thousands have flocked to the page to check out the performance.

"Holy sh*t, everything about this is perfect," wrote one while another YouTube user added: "This is simply the best thing that happened today."

Ladies, prepare yourselves for this one.

Just hours after it was confirmed that The Great British Bake Off would be leaving the BBC and heading to Channel 4, fans of the shows have been dealt yet another blow.

According to a report on the BBC, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins have decided to step out of the famous, confectionary-filled tent for the last time.

After six years hosting the super popular baking competition, the two hosts made the decision to leave the programme after making their position on the situation clear.

"We were very shocked and saddened to learn yesterday evening that Bake Off will be moving from its home," they said.

"We made no secret of our desire for the show to remain where it was," they continued. "The BBC nurtured the show from its infancy and helped give it its distinctive warmth and charm, growing it from an audience of two million to nearly 15 at its peak."

In a puntastic statement Mary Berry would be proud of, the hosts said: "We've had the most amazing time on Bake Off, and have loved seeing it rise and rise like a pair of yeasted Latvian baps,"

"We're not going with the dough. We wish all the future bakers every success," they added.

Channel 4 have signed a three-year agreement with the programmes production company, Love Productions.

Ladies, it's the end of an era.

After splitting up with Ryan Dorsey back in 2010, Naya Rivera discovered she was pregnant and made the decision to secretly terminate the pregnancy.

Opening up about the experience in her memoir Sorry Not Sorry, the Glee star hoped her story would come as solace to other women.

"I know some people might read it and say, 'What the Hell?' But I hope someone out there gets something out of it," she explained last month.

"I think it’s always on your mind, and it’s one of those little scars in life," she said. "When I was writing the book, it was really important for me to include that, because this is a part of my story and a part of who I am."

After offering an insight into her take on the situation, Naya has, this week, chosen to share an another aspect of the story – her husband Ryan's reaction to the news.

Having gotten back together and tying the knot, Naya decided to share her secret with Ryan in a decision which she says ultimately brought her much comfort.

Speaking to ET, the actress admitted: "Telling Ryan about the abortion was really nerve-racking.I didn’t know how he would react, obviously."

Without going into too much detail, Naya said: "It had been so many years. He ended up saying, you know, one of the best things that any man in that situation could have ever said."

It seems her husband's reaction to his wife's news confirmed what Naya already knew of their relationship.

"And I think that it’s just a true testament to him and us, and I’m grateful for where we are now."

Naya and Ryan are now parents to one-year-old son Josey.

If you – like us – swap your phone from one hand to the other while chatting, you may want to reconsider that one… especially if you struggle with receptions issues during phone calls.

According to a recent study from Aalborg University in Denmark, the hand in which you hold your phone during conversations actually has a massive effect on the quality of the call.

Apparently, It all comes down to the connection between the position of the phone's antenna and side of the head it is placed against… depending on the model, that is. Plus as an example, researchers established that the phone actually had 20 times more signal when it was held in the right hand instead of the left hand.

So, it's time to size up your model, pick a hand and stick to it, ladies.

In a world full of Kardashians, we’re encouraged to be a Diana, but it’s not always easy to establish your own style and sense of poise when confronted by the same faces and trends day in and day out.

Finding your feet in the world of fashion takes time, but one woman who has done it with aplomb is Irish model, Louise O’Reilly.

Not only has she forged an incredibly successful career for herself as an international model, Louise has amassed a loyal following by sharing her own style insights on her blog Style Me Curvy.

We caught up with Louise, who recently joined forced with Dublin Fashion Festival and Westcoast Cooler as part of the #ThisIsMe campaign, and picked her brains on all things style-related.

1. Can you tell us what the #ThisIsMe campaign means to you?

I'm really thrilled to be part of a campaign that celebrates individuality and diversity. It's so important to encourage people to use fashion to embrace who they truly are.

I just loved West Coast Cooler's whole ideology behind the campaign for Dublin Fashion Festival and what it represents.

2. Have you followed trends in the past which didn't accurately represent you, and if so which ones?

There are so many trends each year I tend to pick and choose what works for me the best in terms of my own individual style and taste buds.

Definitely in the past – growing up as a teenager – I would have tried to copy my friends' style as I was so unsure of what to wear myself, but I think everyone goes through that phase.

3. With Irish weather in mind, what trends are you all over this season?

I'm a big lover of Autumn/ Winter. I love layering, particularly high neck jumper styles mixed with skirts for a 60s style that works wonderful with tights for the colder months.

I love to invest in styles that will be here to stay for a few seasons, so A-line cut skirts with zip detail is definitely worth noting, a long lined structured coat or cosy parka with interesting trimming such as leatherette details or faux fur.

4. Did the world of modelling change your perspective on what it means to be 'stylish'?

It definitely has in many ways. On the model side we are somewhat restricted in what we can wear to castings for example.

The "model uniform" as such would usually be a black t-shirt, black skinny jeans and plain heels for castings, meaning your arriving to a client as a blank canvas for them to cast you for something.

But in the same way getting to travel around parts of the world and work on interesting fashion shoots or shows means you become totally open to other cultures sense of style and how they might put things together in a totally different way than we would.

It's definitely something that has changed the way I view fashion and style and has only made my obsession with shoes worse!

5. What are your three golden rules when it comes to your own personal style?

 I never avoid a trend I like because I'm a size 16.

Comfort yet style is always the key agenda. I have to be comfy!

I try add colour where possible and don't over accessorise.

6. What three items of clothing could you not live without?

My Oasis biker jacket, River Island LBD and my biker boots

7. Who is your Irish style icon, and why?

I don't really have as style icon as such, but one person who I really admire would be Saoirse Ronan, her style is really individual to her, she's never afraid to show who she is and I love that in a person.

8. As an international model, you travel constantly – what is your go-to airport outfit and three carry-on essentials?

Usually it's all black as when I travel for work as you never know if you will have a last minute casting straight after your flight.

At the moment I've stuck to a suedette biker jacket, a black  jersey wrap dress, Adidas originals for added comfort and an oversized handbag to fit my blog camera and all my essentials.

My three carry-on essentials are Carmex lip balm – brilliant for travelling and for all weather types – travel size Vichy Idealia moisturiser or Image Vital C hydrating moisturiser (both are brilliant) and Mac Studio Fix fluid foundation.

9. Your blog is hugely successful, why do you think it resonated with so many women?

Thank you so much! Well, it's been a long journey and something I've worked so hard on.

The key point to Style Me Curvy is that it's about fashion for everyone. It's not about creating size divisions so whether a person is a size 6 or a size 28, there will always be something available for all sizes on my blog.

I also like to get people out of the 'size' mindset. I wear a size 16, sometimes an 18 or sometimes a 14. I buy what fits and that's what's most important, the fit and cut not what the label says.

10. What are the three pieces of advice you would give your 16-year-old self when it comes to life, style and career?

What's meant for you won't pass you by

Stop dressing like someone twice your age.

Stop obsessing about your weight and take advantage of all opportunities that come your way. You only live once!

She may be worth millions and have oodles of insider info at her fingertips when it comes to style, but that doesn't mean Victoria Beckham doesn't like to nab a bargain or two in the beauty department.

The star, whose New York Fashion Week show became the talk of Instagram this week, revealed that she swears by a product most of us could find in our kitchen cupboards.

Speaking to This Morning, the acclaimed fashion designer paid tribute to the wonder that is – wait for it –  coconut oil.

Offering a hint into her daily routine, Victoria confirmed that she's only mad for the kitchen staple, saying: "I use coconut oil, the kind of oil that you would cook with."

"I use it all over my body as well because it's really really moisturising," she added.

And while we know numerous celebrities use coconut oil to stay looking their best, we wouldn't have pictured the mum-of-four stocking up on beauty staples in the oil and condiment aisle.

But if Victoria, who has access to the best products on the market plumps for the humble coconut oil, who are we argue?

Form an orderly queue, ladies.

Individuals who circulate explicit images of another could face up to 12 months behind bars and a $1,000 fine under a new bill introduced by New York City Council this week.

In an effort to crack down on revenge porn, lawmakers have made it a crime to post, text or email naked images of an individual without their express consent.

While the act of secretly recording explicit images is illegal in New York, the same rule does not apply to cases where an individual willingly exchanged photos only to see them circulated at a later date.

Commenting on the introduction of the new legislation, Councilman Rory Lancman said: ”Leaking naked pictures of someone without their permission is despicable, but our laws haven't caught up with technology to make 'revenge porn' a crime.”

“This legislation takes a stand against this disgusting violation of privacy and sends a strong message that this behaviour is unacceptable in New York City,” added Councilman Dan Garodnick.

As it stands in Ireland, the laws surrounding revenge porn are less clear.

While there are laws against persistent harassment under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, the circulation of explicit images doesn’t fall under that definition as the perpetrator need only send the image or footage once for maximum circulation.

In an effort to tackle the issue, the Law Reform Commission will be submitting a comprehensive paper to the government later this year.

Commenting on this development, barrister Stephen Fitzpatrick sounded optimistic, saying: “The Law Reform Commission are going to be doing a paper on the laws… their papers are normally excellent and normally very comprehensive.”

“Given their past papers I expect what they come out with to be really well thought out.” he added.

Here’s hoping.
