Hollywood history has just been made.

Sandra Oh is the first Asian actress to earn an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

And we are chuffed for her, to say the least.

Oh is nominated for her role as agent Eve Polastri in BBC America’s spy drama, Killing Eve.

Nominations for the 70th annual Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday, July 12th.

Along with Oh, the lead actress category includes Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Claire Foy (The Crown), Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), Keri Russell (The Americans), and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black).

However, this is not Sandra's first Emmy nod. She has racked up a fab five Emmy nominations as Best Supporting Actress for her role as Cristina Yang in Grey’s Anatomy.

Sandra has spoken in the past about how important representation is on television.

She gave an interview to Elle magazine where she discussed how this is such a pivotal time in Hollywood right now.

A post shared by Sandra Oh (@iamsandraohinsta) on

''I realised how deep the internalization was. I’ve done a lot of work, I’ve worked consistently; and in that moment, 30 years into working this industry, it really rocked me.”

“That is how challenging it is: It’s not just, ‘I can’t get a audition,’ because that’s true, but it’s also internal. That’s still the dragon that I am trying to mount and ride,'' she added.

Social media was understandably excited for Sandra, with one user tweeting, ''Sandra Oh is a hero who created the legendary Cristina Yang. After Grey’s Anatomy she didn't’t receive any decent offers for four years. She’s never won an Emmy. No Asian actress has. She’s deserves it.''

Let's hope that Sandra takes home the gong at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, which are taking place on September 17th.

Poor Caroline Flack.

Not only is the end of her engagement being strewn across the press with seemingly EVERYONE having a say about it, but now the reason behind the split has been made public.

And it's not good.

While Caroline was reeling from the sudden break up, her new ex-fiance was sitting in a meeting with the producers of Celebs Go Dating. Unbelievable.

According to The Mirror, just one day after they parted ways, she posted to her Facebook page calling out Andrew for his shady behaviour.

She wrote, ''when you find out your fiancé had been planning a meeting to go on Celebs Go Dating, and has the meeting the day AFTER you break up. In utter shock. Kill me now."

We can actually feel her heartbreak through that post.

It was reported by The Sun that Andrew had met with producers of the dating show in an attempt to enhance his fame.

Wait, is this coming from a guy who shot to fame on the Apprentice and then CBB? It just doesn't add up. *rolls eyes*

A friend of Caroline's told the paper that she ''is livid'' and we don't blame her.

It also alleged that Andrew is being a complete pr*ck and making the break up “as difficult and painful for Caroline as possible.''

If this all wasn't;t bad enough, Flackers literally just told the whole world via her Cosmopolitan mag cover/interview that she had found ''The One'' in Andrew.

She wrote, '''my life was complete before you came into  it – a man doesn't’t complete your life. But I wanted to make room in it for you. I look at you and I think, ‘Yes, Andrew, you’re the one I’ve been waiting for.’''

Awks.

Social media have voicing their disgust in Andrew, commenting, ''Andrew Brady is a user who will do anything to extend his 5 minutes of fame he just needs to go away. If I ever see him I will clout him.''

Others made it clear that they weren't surprised.

''Anyone with half a brain worked him out on Celeb BB. Complete fantasist, user and fame hungry. A vile human being,'' one user wrote.

Mostly, though, people just wished Caroline well because, let's face it, heartbreak is tough enough without the intense media scrutiny mixed in.

''Poor old Caroline Flack….however Dr Alex is still single…'' one person tweeted  and another said, ''sorry for Caroline but I’m glad her and Andrew are over! He’s a horrible, immature boy – from watching him on celeb big brother, his behaviour was appalling.''

The former couple announced their engagement in April after a whirlwind two months together.

All we have to say is – Caz, you had a lucky escape!

Yep, it's 1994 again because we are talking all things The Babysitters Club.

If you were born before 2000, these books should have been a staple of that horribly ''wtf?'' time in your life aged 11 – 14.

Every summer for those formative years, I could be found curled up literally anywhere, enveloped in the adventures of Kristy, Ann-Marie and co.

I felt I knew those tweenage girls from Connecticut for real so it's safe to say this news is pretty f*cking exciting.

A retro box set of all of the OG novels is due to be released.

According to BustleThe Baby-Sitters Club retro set will include six original BSC books, which will be: Kristy's Great Idea, Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls, The Truth About Stacey, Mary Anne Saves the Day, Dawn and the Impossible Three, and Kristy's Big Day.

Twelve-year-old me is screaming RN.

Each book will have its gorgeous original illustrated cover, plus they will come inside of a cute retro tin.

It definitely looks like this blast of 1980's/1990's nostalgia is here to stay as Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that there may be a brand new TV adaptation of the series on the way.

''The adaptation comes from Walden Media and Michael De Luca, which will be producing and shopping the modernized version as half-hour episodes,'' it was reported.

There was a TV show from Scholastic in the 1990's, as well as a 1995 movie starring Rachel Leigh Cook and Larisa Oleynik.

''As lifelong fans of The Baby-Sitters Club and its enduring messages of entrepreneurialism, empowerment, diversity and most importantly, female friendships, we couldn't’t be more thrilled to work on this special project with Rachel and Lucia,” says Naia Cucukov, Walden Media’s senior vp development and production.

“We feel incredibly honoured that Ann M. Martin has allowed us the chance to introduce the BSC to a new generation of future thought leaders and influencers.”

Now the real question is…is it too early to add that vintage tin of books to my Christmas wish list?

Lazy people, rejoice.

You can now see your doctor and get that refill prescription all from the comfort of your own bed.

McCabes Pharmacy has announced their agreement with VideoDoc, a company who deliver diagnosis and a prescription to patients at home and we're pretty excited about it.

VideoDoc is an online doctor service and each one is registered with the Irish Medical Council and has received remote services training so it's all legit.

They are available for consultations online via the videodoc.ie website or through the videoDoc app.

So, where does McCabes come in all of this?

Basically, if you can't get to the pharmacy to collect your medicine,  videoDoc can send the prescription to McCabes Pharmacy who in turn will deliver the medication to the individual’s location of choice.

They offer the same day delivery in Dublin and a next day delivery service for anywhere else in Ireland.

Amazing, right?

“Our delivery service ensures that  patients never run out of much needed medication. videoDoc who provide online doctor consultations extend healthcare even further to those who might have mobility or scheduling issues,” said Cormac Loughnane, Superintendent Pharmacist of McCabes Pharmacy.

Mary O’Brien, Co-Founder and CEO of videoDoc, has said, ''I believe this is an example of how developments in technology can give people precious time back in their day.''

Social media is all here for it, with users tweeting, ''When video doc saves your life when you get tonsillitis at USI Congress'' and ''Great example of how tech can be leveraged to help the healthcare sector and specifically mental health.''

videoDoc is available seven days a week from 8am to 10am, to patients anywhere in Europe.

Plus, it's just 20 quid a visit.

Right, we're off to download that app STAT.

They were set to play the All-Ireland qualifier against Cavan this Saturday.

Nevertheless, it seems that all is not well with the Mayo ladies football team.

Reports have just emerged that there has been a mass walk out, with 10 players leaving the squad.

The Mayo News has said that the dispute was caused by welfare issues.

The players who have walked include captain Sarah Tierney, vice-captain Fiona MacHale and Cora Staunton.

The team selector Michel MacHale – who is the father of Fiona MacHale – has also left the set-up.

The paper reports that the players informed manager Peter Leahy of their decision and then the county board.

Public Relations Officer Susan Rodgers confirmed that players had left the squad in the last week.

''Mayo Ladies County Board can confirm that a number of players have departed the county panel. Preparations are ongoing for Saturday’s All-Ireland Qualifier against Cavan and we will not be making any further comment until that game is over,'' she confirmed.

Mayo would have been considered championship contenders going into this season after losing last year's All-Ireland final to Dublin.

Watch this space but it sure looks like the future of the Mayo ladies football team is on uncertain ground for the time being.

The X Factor is coming back to our screens very soon!

So, bring on the the sick Granny sob stories and the so-bad-they're-truly-appalling singers that the producers put through just to fill up the Daily Mail Showbiz comment sections.

Excited?Us neither.

If you are an X Factor fan (all twelve of you that are left) then here's some hot off the press news about the judging panel.

Proving that he's come full circle, 1D pop star Louis Tomlinson is said to have nabbed one of the much sought-after seats.

Joining him will be the highly exciting line-up of  Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Field and of course, Mr Simon Cowell.

Now if that's not a reason to tune in, we don't know what is.

According to The Mirror, ''Louis is very much a part of the X Factor family.''

“He’s a close friend of the show and would make a brilliant judge. Simon mentored One Direction and signed them to Syco Records. Simon hopes the deal will be done in the next few days.”

His addition will make the panel three men and one woman for the first time in the competition's 15-year history.

Social media's reaction to the news was as we'd expect…tumbleweed.

However, there were a few people who had their say, tweeting, ''oh god what a FLOP'' and ''I have no interest in X Factor anymore, it's gone really down hill. But IF this is true than I will be watching only for Louis.''

So it seems that this might draw in some much-needed ratings.

The 15th series is getting underway with auditions starting on July 18 at Wembley Arena in London, so expect it all to come crashing back onto our screens in a matter of weeks.

Kylie Jenner is known for many things.

Her lip gloss range, her reality TV show, the fact that she's part of one of the most famous showbiz families on the planet…oh and her now-iconic full pout.

While she initially denied having anything done to her lips, she admitted all in 2017 on her show Life of Kylie

She told Complex magazine at the time that, ''it has been an insecurity of mine all my life. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”

Explaining why she had originally lied about the cosmetic work, she explained that she had panicked.

''What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn't’ want to be a bad influence. I didn't’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself.''

However, it seems that she has had a change of heart.

She posted an image of herself with what looks like her old lips.

Her 110 million followers were quick to notice, with some commenting, ''even more beautiful now you’ve took them out. Natural is beautiful'' and ''so totally beautiful …The natural look is so good.''

In the past, she admitted that she might have gotten carried away with the injections.

“When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far.”

While people were purely speculating about the Insta snaps at first, Kylie then confirmed her different look by saying, ''I got rid of all my filler'' followed by worried emojis.

Kyle recently spoke about how her baby Stormi had not inherited her lips, but has big beautiful eyes.

She told friend Jordyn Woods during a YouTube Q&A that, ''she has the biggest eyes ever. The one thing I was insecure about, she has. She has the most perfect lips in the whole entire world. She ain't get those from me. Thank her dad for those.''

After a fabulous Pride month, there is another huge reason to keep the celebrations going in the LGBTQ community.

For the first time ever, a transgender woman has been victorious in the competition for the Miss Spain title.

Angela Ponce took home the crown on June 29th, beating out 22 other contestants.

And now she'll take it one step further, by competing to become the next Miss Universe in the Philippines this December.

Angela took to Instagram to share her joy at this momentous achievement.

''Today I have fulfilled a dream that I always had,'' she wrote in Spanish. ''I'm going to the @missuniverse, with the awareness and commitment to carry forward a message of inclusion, respect, tolerance, love for oneself, love for others.''

Social media has largely backed Angela's victory, with one user saying that, ''trans can participate in any scenario, in the perspective of an inclusive society.''

Others were not so happy with the news, with one person commenting that, ''I agree that it is a revolutionary idea in pushing the definition of a woman. On the other side, I don't wanna lose the essence and tradition of our most loved pageant.''

This win is a monumental step when you think of the fact that until six years ago, trans women were actually banned from entering the contest.

According to Express, the rules were changed after trans model Jenna Talackova threatened legal action against the competition.

President Paula Shugart later said, ''we have a long history of supporting equality for all women, and this was something we took very seriously.”

Hopefully this means that more inclusion in pageants worldwide will soon be a reality.

Listen up, Ryanair fliers.

Ialpa pilot union members who work for Ryanair are planning to strike for 24 hours next Thursday, 12th July.

The strike will begin at 1am on the 12th and continue until 1am the next day.

Ryanair has responded  to this announcement by saying that they are ''disappointed'' in this ''unnecessary'' course of action yet they believes that the majority of Ryanair passengers will be unaffected by this.

July is a busy summer month for airlines, with huge numbers headed off to sunnier climates for their holidays.

Understandably, many people who have booked with Ryanair are panicking about the consequences that this may have on their travel plans.

People are voicing their concerns on Twitter, with one user saying, ''you're basically giving me two days or 48 hours to arrange alternative flights.''

After negotiations with the airline broke down, the Ialpa Union said that a landslide 99% of their members had supported the industrial action in a ballot.

The dispute is over management’s approach to the transferring of pilots between it's African and European bases.

The Irish Airline Pilots’ Association has also released a statement giving notice of the strike.

It states that, ''our member pilots directly employed by Ryanair complain that there is no transparent system for the determination of important matters including voluntary/involuntary base transfer/allocation, command upgrade, allocation of annual leave and promotion.''

With the strike action set to take place next week, let's hope that this mess gets sorted before then.

Otherwise, there's going to be a lot of unhappy Ryanair customers.

Scarlett Johansson has disregarded claims that playing a transgender character is problematic.

The actor is set to star as Dante ''Tex'' Gill in Rub & Tug, a biopic about a transgender man who is also a crime boss.

The movie will take place in Pittsburgh’s underground sex work industry during the 1970's.

The reaction to this news across social media has been widely negative, with many being quick to condemn Scarlett for choosing to take on this role.

Twitter lambasted Scarlett for taking roles away from people who are actually trans.

One Twitter user claimed that, ''Scarlett's been tone deaf on a heap of social issues,'' while another said, ''Scarlett Johansson…you should check your privilege. Also, and this goes for all casting directors, step up and break the cycle of misrepresentation.''

However, not everyone on Twitter was criticising her choice to play Dante.

One said, ''it’s a movie!! Who cares, it’s a business!!'' while another user reiterated the fact that she is an actor who is simply doing her job.

''There is no law that says only trans can portray a trans person in a film. Now f**k off with your insufferable moral grandstanding. Sincerely, A Trans-woman.''

Scarlett has responded to this accusations with her own statement to Bustle.

She said: ''Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment."

This response has not been taken well by social media, with many calling it ''trash.''

''Clearly ScarJo doesn't’t give a sh*t about the trans community and wants her Oscar,'' one user tweeted.

Others still seem to see her point of view, with someone else pointing out, ''blame the casting director, not her.''

This movie will be the second time that Scarlett will have worked with director Rupert Sanders.

Their last film, Ghost in the Shell also faced major controversy.

Scarlett was accused of whitewashing the Asian character that she played, which was based off of a Japanese manga character.

''I certainly would never presume to play another race of a person. Diversity is important in Hollywood, and I would never want to feel like I was playing a character that was offensive,'' she told Marie Claire last year.
