Since the advent of social media, the internet has been awash with people naming and shaming each other.

Tagging mates in compromising positions and sharing snaps of someone else's fail have been part and parcel of social media since we first heard the term BeboStunnah.

But knowing where to draw the line is, and will continue to be, a contentious issue among social media users.

Dividing Facebook users yesterday, Stevie Wilcock made the decision to share the description of a random woman he assumed was cheating on her partner.

Without knowing the context of the conversation he overheard, Stevie came to the conclusion that a woman he encountered in a coffee shop was cheating on her partner, and decided to raise the alarm on social media (As you do.)

Offering a description of the woman – he estimated her age and described what she was wearing – he then went on to reveal her location and her car registration number in a supposed effort to alert her partner to her assumed infidelity.

While some social media users praised Stevie's supposed detective work and immediately cast aspersions on the woman in question, others were understandably irate that a stranger would jump to conclusions and go on to share someone's personal details in a public post.

"This is terrible, there but for the grace of god for goodness sake, not knowing the facts this unfeeling person could be causing so much damage I despair of the human race," wrote one.

"She's in a petrol station talking to someone and….? Telling them a story??! Big deal," wrote another. "Be careful what conclusions you jump to you could be wrecking someone's life for no reason at all! Numpty."

"Chinese whispers spring to mind. U should get the facts straight before uploading private information on her car and her life all over FB – u have no idea of the story behind that woman," slammed yet another stunned Facebook user.

"In all honesty there could be 100 different reasons whilst she's there. Doesn't mean she's a cheat," she added.

Sorry Stevie, but we're with them on this one.

You know how awkward it is to call someone by the wrong name? Well imagine doing something very similar, but on a much grander scale.

Done it? OK, you're now a lot closer to imagining the face-palming that went on in RTÉ offices yesterday afternoon when Coronation Street star, Jane Danson, pulled their publication up on an error.

After interviewing the popular actress for the RTÉ Guide, they took to Twitter to share the good news with followers, and majorly effed-up in the process – something which didn't go unnoticed by the star herself.

"We chat to@bbceastenders star @RealJaneDanson as she tells us what's in store when Leanne Battersy announces her pregnancy," they wrote in the now infamous post.

Copping their mistake, Jane responded, writing: "Erm I think you mean Coronation Street! I mean I have only been there 20 years!!"

She then went on to retweet the Guide's post on her own page, joking: "They had one job."

With people ripping it out of the Guide online, they quickly responded to Jane writing: "@RealJaneDanson oops!!! Sorry! Gonna blame baby brain for that! D'oh!"

Oh, the humanity.

Most of us here at SHEmazing! HQ are seriously regretting giving our Speech and Drama classes the heave-ho after primary school since hearing how much the cast of The Big Bang Theory are being paid nowadays.

According to Deadline and People, not only have the ensemble cast made a mint through production deals, bonuses and various other perks, everyone's favourite on-screen nerds have started earning a whopping $1 million per episode.

While it's well-known that the cast of Friends were on a sweet mil per ep when they finished up in 2004, David Schwimmer and co. reportedly had to spend much of their time on the show arguing for equal pay rises as the show gained viewers and rose in the popularity stakes.

So, while the Central Perk kids spent years reaching the million dollar mark, it's understood the BBT guys took just a couple of years to reach those dizzying heights after pay negotiations began back in 2014.

Up until two years ago, the cast fronting Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady's geeky bonanza were taking home $325,000 per ep, but it sounds like Chuck is more than happy with the new arrangement.

"Everybody should be very successful and happy and rich. They earned it," he told E! News. "It's a great cast. It's their time."

Just think about it – another mill in the bank every time a director yells 'That's a wrap!'

The internet is a weird and wonderful place where you can find information on pretty much everything.

And while we could use it to broaden our knowledge on a vast range of subjects, most of us use it to search for answers to questions we’re too embarrassed or lazy to ask other people.

‘How to tell if you have a fungal infection’, ‘When do I have right of way?’, ‘Can you break a penis?’; the list goes on.

And while the powers that be at Google quickly realised we’re a mortifying bunch of people, and swiftly provided features which allowed us to delete entries, that didn’t stop most of us seizing up when opening our Google app in view of anyone else or finding ourselves stunned by some of the ads targeted at us.

But now, according to Wired, those tech wizards have gone one step further.

Launching a new tool called My Activity – which combines data history from all of its services – Google allows you to delete entries based on topics, services or date ranges ,and lets you in on just how much those Googlers know about you.

Further to this, they have introduced a feature which – if enabled – can harness information from your Google account and ultimately improve the advertisements you see while online.

While Google already uses this feature to customise ads within its own services, the new tool will actually feature on ANY site which uses Google’s AdSense service.

Users will have to opt-in to avail of the service, so if it’s not for you, you don’t have to get on board, but it does sounds like a sweet way to keep track of how much you're being tracked.

A Dublin Airport taxi driver has been fined after it was ruled that he failed to use the shortest route to his customer's destination.

Barry Burns, who pleaded not guilty to a taxi regulation charge of not driving as directed by his passenger. denies the charge and maintains that he allowed his customer, John Conroy, to choose the route.

According to the Irish Examiner, John Conroy requested that Mr. Burns take the M1 to his home in Blackrock, Co Dublin last March, but was told by the taxi driver that it was closed and that the M50 or Finglas route would be quickest.

Despite assuring the customer that the fare would cost €10 to €15 more than the standard €35 fare had they taken the M1, Mr. Conroy was ultimately charged €64.40.

The Dublin District Court heard that the customer felt pressured to agree with the suggested route, telling the defence barrister: "The whole atmosphere was not pleasant, that is the way I go, through the tunnel, I felt under pressure."

"I wanted to go the M1 and I was told there was an accident and it was blocked, that was not the case, " Mr. Conroy added.

Mr. Burns, who recalled heavy traffic on March 20th, agreed that there was a quicker alternative route but claimed the customer chose the route they ultimately took.

After fining Mr. Burns €250, Judge Walsh also ordered the taxi driver, who has been in the profession for ten years, to pay €130 in witness expenses.

Even if you think Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are totally set to last and live happily ever after, it's hard to deny that their relationship is definitely one of the showier in the industry.

From allowing paps to get shots of their long walks on the beach to wearing items of clothing which declare their love for one another, the TayTo romance is playing out for all to see, and they seem to love it.

And while media outlets around the world are busy speculating about the pair, it seems the answer to the 'Is it real or not?' question lies with none other than…Philip Schofield.

That's right ladies, Schof apparently has the inside scoop on the romance, and he said as much during a This Morning segment devoted to the pair.

With Rylan Clarke pouring scorn on their countless PDAs and the speed with which their relationship is developing, good ol' Phil decided to add his tuppence in.

"I was talking to someone yesterday who knows him very well and said he wouldn’t do the T-shirt thing – it’s not in his nature to that," Phil revealed.

"She's leading everyone on," he added. "She's leading everyone on. I'm pretty sure. I'll stick my neck out here"

That's it! If Phil says Tom wouldn't wear a T-shirt dedicated to his girlfriend, then who are we to question him?

With news emerging that police in Sweden are currently investigating five rapes and more than 10 sexual assaults at the Bravalla Festival in Stockholm, Mumford and Sons have vowed to boycott the event until there is a substantial improvement in security.

The band, who headlined the festival which took place between June 29th and July 2nd, took to their official Facebook page yesterday to condemn the action of some festival-goer's

"We're appalled to hear what happened at the Bravalla Festival last weekend," they began in the post which has been liked more than 25,000 times in 24 hours.

"Festivals are a celebration of music and people, a place to let go and feel safe doing so," they continued. "We're gutted by these hideous reports."

Making their feelings clear, they finished the post by confirming they would not be playing at Bravalla again until something is done to prevent such crimes.

"We won't play at this festival again until we've had assurances from the police and organisers that they're doing something to combat what appears to be a disgustingly high rate of reported sexual violence."

The post has been shared more than 1,000 times since its upload, and has opened a debate among the band's followers on how to approach the issue.

"Unfortunately the effect of any actions taken by the police and/or organisers will be limited because the root of this problem is on a much deeper societal level, where boys are raised in to thinking that this kind of behaviour is okay," began one Facebook user.

"We must teach our sons that it is never okay to rape, and teach our daughters that they should never accept to have their bodies and integrety violated in any way, shape or form in their lives," she added. (sic)

Another suggested the band need to play a more active role in combating the issue, writing: "OR you play at festivals but before each gig you actually tell the audience to look around and be more aware of the problem. Be part of the solution to reach out."

According to The Telegraph, Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Lofven, has vowed to tighten laws relating to sexual assault.

According to emerging reports, Lionel Messi has been sentenced to 21 months in prison after being accused of tax evasion.

The 29-year-old international footballer was accused of creating a number of fake companies in Uruquay and Belize in order to avoid taxation on image rights between 2007 and 2009.

While the footballer will not actually spend time behind bars as the Spanish system states that prison terms under two years can be served on probation, he was fined €1.9 million by a court in Barcelona and will face imprisonment if he reoffends.

It has been established that Messi, who earns more than a quarter of a million euro a week and won Fifa World Player of the Year five times, attempted to evade €4.1 million in tax over the course of two years, but insists he was unaware of these financial oversights

Messi's father, Jorge, who – according to his son – dealt with the footballer's financial affairs, received the same sentence as his son.

Love them or loathe them, the Kardashian family are going nowhere.

Public fascination with reality TV stars coupled with the family's innate desire to feed that fascination with the help of complex love lives and dysfunctional relationships means the Kardashian family will, whether you like it or not, always be prime watercooler fodder.

And with Kylie and Kendall carving names for themselves, and the arrival of Mason, Penelope, North, Reign and Saint, we're already gearing up for KUWTK: The Next Generation after Kim, Kourtney and Khloé finally decide to go live in their walk-in wardrobes and never emerge.

And by examining this obsession with the Calabasas clan, one University of Durham has just earned herself a first-class degree.

Sociology student, Eliza Cummings-Gove, was told she was 'ridiculous' for devoting her 10,000 word dissertation to the famous family, but it looks like the powers that be had other ideas, and awarded the 20-year-old Londoner the highest honour.

"I think there is a lot of cultural snobbery about it," Eliza said. "The Kardashians are everywhere in the media and they are shaping many of the girls today into the women they will become."

"In my dissertation I didn't have enough words to talk about the men in the family and their role in a post-feminist world," she explained. "The relationship between women and their partners, ex-partners and, in Rob's case, their brother is a really interesting and complex."

Eliza, who admits she was 'euphoric' upon hearing of her results, explained that she watched 80 hours of the reality show as part of her research.

80 hours? That's basically us when we have a duvet weekend…

If social media is anything to go by in the last two days, hell hath no fury like an American scorned on July 4th.

And while we're pretty sure most people found Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston's July 4th celebrations more inappropriate than Kaley Cuoco's Independence Day slip-up, that hasn't stopped the Big Bang Theory actress from dropping to her knees and grovelling like there's no tomorrow.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the popular actress paid tribute to her country by sharing a snap of her three pets chilling out on an American flag, and people are NOT happy.

"Thank you @the_pet_handler for taking care of the squad while im out of town! 4th of July pups!" wrote Kaley in a move which Instagram users have deemed inappropriate on so many levels.

"Showing disrespect for the flag, it should never touch the ground, or let your pet stand on it!" wrote one while another remarked: "That's not a towel. I believe in the right to burn the flag in protest as long as it's in context, that's why so many people gave their lives, for freedom."

"But this is not that, this is simply disrespectful," they added "That's a flag. A symbol of what people have sacrificed for."

Acknowledging her major misstep, Kaley swiftly deleted the offending image before replacing it with heart-shaped stars and stripes snap.

I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday , that has caused lots of controversy. First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word. I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes , past and present. Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post. This is no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always.
