According to numerous emerging reports, Gardaí from Balbriggan and Lusk are investigating yet another shooting in our country's capital this morning.
Just days after a man was shot and killed in Dublin's south inner city, yet another individual has fallen victim to the country's rising incidents of gun-related violence.
It is understood that the incident occurred just before 10am in Dun Emer estate in Lusk, North County Dublin today.
It is believed that the victim was shot multiple times, but his condition is not yet known and paramedics are currently treating him at the scene.
If Rihanna and Beyoncé know anything, it's how to work (work, work, work, work) a packed stadium, but unfortunately they just weren't given the opportunity to do so during their respective UK tours in recent weeks.
Despite the fact their concerts were touted as 'sold-out' just about everywhere, both Ri-Ri and Queen Bey ended up playing to a half-empty Wembley stadium during the UK leg of their tours.
And while some feared that the poor turn-out was due to a waning interest in the female stars, it turns out the rows upon rows of empty seats in the world-famous venue had more to do with ticket touts and less to do with the ladies' popularity.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, ticket touts did what they do best and bought in bulk when the gigs were announced – we just LOVE when they do that, don't you?
And then due to their overly-inflated prices and the fact that most people can't justify shelling over hundreds even if it to see their idol, they simply weren't able to shift them in time for each gig.
So, there's that, and then there's the fact some fans actually FORGET to turn up…
We all know that the TV and movie industry can be a cut-throat business, so we shouldn't be overly surprised that stars miss out on acting roles because of other people's egos, should we?
But we're still a little stunned to learn that David Hasslehoff, who played Mitch Buchanan in Baywatch, ensured the Oscar-winning actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, didn't secure a role on the world-famous TV show when he was 15.
Having tried out for the role of Hobie – David's on-screen son – Leonardo ultimately failed to secure the role despite the fact the production team were all for it.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, show producer, Michael Berk, said: "We actually had DiCaprio ready to be cast. But David thought he was too old to play his son."
Concerned how he would appear to the show's global audience, David persuaded the team to re-cast for the role, with Michael revealing: "David thought it would make him look older. He had a lot of concerns of that type."
The role in the show, which ran from 1989 to 2001, ultimately went to nine-year-old Jeremy Jackson whose star never really ascended as high as good ol' Leo's.
With discussion surrounding rape culture – and its prevalence in everyday life – continuing to rage around the world, it's no surprise that things got more than a little heated on Zendaya's Twitter page yesterday when she saw herself included in a post about rape.
Sharing an image, which has since been deleted, the 19-year-old actress expressed her distress over our generation's regard for women and sex crimes.
According to The Independent, the former Disney drew her followers' attention to a post which featured her, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna alongside a reference to 2013 film, The Purge.
Drawing on the premise of the movie – where all crime is legalised for 12 hours – the Twitter user asked: "If the purge was real, who y'all raping?'
Understandably horrified by the post, Zendaya lashed out at the Twitter user, writing: "This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself."
"Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? she asked "People are sick."
This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? https://t.co/brqVohkX9E
Having gotten the star's attention, the Twitter troll basked in his newfound online notoriety before Zendaya cut him down with a quick assessment of his characteristics.
"The only thing that's lit is your immorality and inhumanity young man. I pray you find some sense," she wrote.
"I don't think I've ever seen something so disrespectful," wrote one of Zendaya's followers in response to the post while another questioned: "Why are people like this allowed on earth?"
Zendaya's posts on the subject have been liked more than 40,000 times since yesterday.
The closest we’ve ever gotten to a yacht is singing I’m On a Boat over and over while our mates threw flipflops at us, so getting to steal a sneak peek inside a real one is kind of a big deal.
And to know that a five-deck, 240-foot beauty, which could be ours for a mere €119 million, is currently docked in Kinsale, Co Cork is almost more than we can bear.
So ladies, should you want to 'feel the wind in your harms' as our favourite Friend Rachel Green might say, Grace E will set you back €600,000 a week, but hear us out cos it’s totally worth it.
Boasting a pool, hydrotherapy bath, open-air Jacuzzi and gym, Grace E, which is believed to be owned by Florida-based billionaire Bob Stiller, is exactly what dreams are made of.
Oh, and did we mention the fact it sleeps 12 guests across six suites and even rocks its own beauty salon, massage area and film library? Well, it does, and we want IN!
With a crew of 20 to tend to your needs, time spent on this award-winning vessel would set us up for life.
It's a quarter to four in the morning, you and your BFF are slumped across the kitchen table after a night out and as one of you cracks open more vino with the heel of your shoe, the other begins to have what can only be described as an existential crisis.
Teetering perilously close to the edge, she insists you mean more to her than – hic – anyone else in the world, but – hic – what is the point in this whole – hic – thing called life?
If that sounds familiar, you're going to feel like you've already read Justin Bieber's latest post because it basically sounds like all of us after a few too many gins with a few less hiccups and a lot more punctuation.
"It's crazy how some people don't even question or ponder the reason for their existence and are okay going through the motions," he began in a post which has clocked up 427,000 likes in just two hours,
"We don't live to die," he insisted." We have purpose and meaning! Step outside your comfort zone and challenge your friends by asking those tough questions like what do you think the meaning of life is? What do you think your purpose is?"
"I'm not saying you have to believe the same thing I believe but at least have the discussion," he pleaded.
"Sometimes it can be scary opening yourself up to what can come from those conversations, and I think it can be easier sometimes to just avoid and not think about it."
Finishing off the post before faceplanting signing out, the Love Yourself singer wrote "But I think it's worth it!!!"
Good man yourself, Justin. Sure, you're dead right.
We've seen some gas things at Luas stops in our day, but none of them have ANYTHING on this Irish dancing bride who was captured on camera this weekend.
While waiting at the Jervis Street stop, Facebook user, Christian Murdoch, found himself understandably captivated by the scene unfolding in front of him, and thankfully grabbed his phone in time to share it with the rest of us.
In a floor-length wedding gown and veil, a woman decided to kick up her heels (literally) and dance a jig with another girl while a bystander provided the soundtrack for their performance,
The footage, which has been viewed more than 5,000 times since its upload, was captioned: "I was really enjoying this then the Luas came!"
While Facebook users were quick to give props to the two dancers, an even bigger number were impressed by the singer, with one member of the public writing: "Let's hope the video goes viral and he gets some kind of recording deal!"
In an industry which consistently focuses on the aesthetic, Aussie actress, Rebel Wilson, insists she has no intention of conforming to Hollywood's beauty ideals, and even credits her shape for her global success.
According to The Independent, the Pitch Perfect actress insists that despite what Hollywood would have you think, gaining weight actually did wonders for her career and celebrity profile.
Reflecting on the moment which caused her to question the link between appearance and audience appreciation, Rebel recalled being in a play with an actress larger than her.
Speaking to The Telegraph, she said: "I was like: ‘Oh. That girls’ getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?’ Because I don’t think there’s much difference in talent."
"And I remember distinctly thinking: ‘I think it’s because she’s fatter’. And then, I don’t know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought: ‘How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter…’ And then suddenly I was fatter and doing comedy,” she explained.
Rebel said her appearance has predominantly worked to her advantage, once telling Cosmopolitan: "When I walked into my agent’s office for the first time, they looked and me and said, ‘Wow, we have nobody on our books like you.’ And they signed me on my second day here."
The 36-year-old actress, who suffers from a hormonal imbalance, acknowledges that her perspective is far from the norm in Tinseltown, saying: "I saw my size as being an advantage whereas so many women see it as a disadvantage."
Becoming pregnant by a member of One Direction last year made Briana Jungwirth instant internet fodder as die-hard Directioners clamoured to share their thoughts on the relationship that existed between the LA-based stylist and Louis Tomlinson.
And unfortunately for Briana, the new mum has had to face an inordinate amount of criticism and scrutiny since welcoming her son Freddie in January of this year.
Taking to Twitter last night, the 24-year-old, who is reported in a custody battle with the One Direction star, pleaded with the public to respect her and her child as they reluctantly navigate life in the public eye, but unfortunately for Briana it did NOT go down well.
"To all those who feel the need to make disparaging, hateful and inappropriate comments concerning me and my son Freddie – I am sincerely sorry that you all have chosen to focus your time and attention on my life and the life of my son", she began.
"Surely you must have better things to do than pry into the personal ife of a single mom and newborn child," she continued.
"I am a proud new mother that is extremely joyous about my child being in this world and have shared that joy with my friends and family on a daily basis – often times through social media."
"However, that does not give anyone the right, or an invitation to be nasty and disparaging toward me," she wrote. "So, please stop prying into the private and personal facts of my life and my son's life in order to weave stories and peak public interest."
In the lengthy post, Briana urged people to rethink their approach to her and her son, writing: "I am confident that in the days and weeks to come, you all will find that your negativity and venomous attacks were little more than time wasted."
Unfortunately for Briana, it looks like her words fell on deaf ears with many Twitter users using the post as a platform to slam the single mum.
"I know none of this is real but she's making herself look like a f*cking idiot (I'm loving it), like honey sit ur ass down," wrote one.
Slamming Briana's post, another wrote: "She literally follows every acc out there abt her & "Freddie", also she can put accs on private if she wanted privacy lol." (sic)
Insisting that she's simply looking for attention, Briana's followers suggested she check her privacy settings before suggesting that her personal life is being invaded.
It's hard to believe that it's been almost two decades since Posh and Becks tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Dublin's Luttrellstown Castle, isn't it?
Two years after becoming one of the most high-profile couples in the world and just months after welcoming their first child, David and Victoria said 'I do', and today the footballer has paid tribute to that milestone moment in his life.
Taking to Instagram with a throwback snap of their wedding day, 41-year-old David wrote "Wow 17 years ago to this day this happened… I was lucky to meet someone who has the same drive and wanted the same things in life."

"We have created 4 beautiful children that I couldn't wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them," he continued. "Happy anniversary I love u." (sic)
Equally moved by memories of their special day, Victoria also took to Instagram this morning to share a snap of the pair hugging, and wrote: "I feel so loved and truly blessed. My best friend,my love."

"The kindest man who inspires me every day," she continued. "Happy Anniversary to the best husband and daddy in the world!! EVER!"
The couple's posts have clocked up more than half a millions likes between them, with fans of the world-famous family rushing to congratulate Posh and Becks on their anniversary.
"Happy anniversary to both of you, inspiring couple," wrote one while another tagged a fellow follower and commented: "I hope we find our David Beckham one day."
We've all dabbled in a little online shopping after a few too many gins, and the worst that generally happens is we receive a dress three sizes too small which a drunker and more positive version of ourselves had such high aspirations for.
While we can forgive ourselves those early morning misdemeanours, we'd struggle to get over buying tickets to see Queen Bey and then forgetting to actually show up as one woman in the UK did over the weekend.
Last Thursday. 34-year-old Tammy, fuelled by a few drinks, decided to go online and nab herself, her husband and her son three tickets to experience the Formation World Tour.
All was well until the happy trio were on their way to Sunday night's performance, and Tammy realised they were late…a full day too late, to be exact.
My thirst for lemonade remains unquenchable… @Beyonce
Pumped they'd be finishing off the weekend in the presence of greatness, Tammy opened her Ticketmaster app while on the train to the stadium and swiftly decided that alcohol and online activity shouldn't mix.
"It said only past events and I saw it said Saturday and realised the show was over and we couldn’t go anymore," she told BuzzFeed after sharing her story with Twitter.
On the train to Wembley. Just realised the 3 @Beyonce tickets I bought for tonight were actually for last night. #devastated
"I think a lot of Beyoncé fans on Twitter could relate to me feeling devastated," she said. "There were the odd people laughing at me, but a lot of people were genuinely devastated for me as well, so that was nice, in a way."
Update on the situation… My husband sang single ladies to me and we went off to the London Dungeons.

Brooklyn also shared an image with his 339,000 Twitter followers, which shows the two cuties wrapped around each other in a loving embrace. You guyyyysss.
We are getting serious #powercouple vibes from these two teens!
