When One Direction split, Niall Horan went down a road we didn't expect.

We all knew he had a keen interest in golf, but the Mullingar man went on to open a golf management company, Modest!, and it's been doing pretty well so far.

But then rumours started to spark that he was going to go down to solo musician route… and it looks like his first song is coming out… today?!

In a now-deleted tweet, Radio Disney wrote: "Surprise! Listen to Radio Disney RIGHT NOW to hear @NiallOfficial's brand new song #ThisTown! And stay tuned to hear from Niall!"

Fans have also pointed out that the singer now has a new, verified Spotify page, which again suggests he's gearing up for a debut solo album.

It's unclear whether the tweet was intentional or not, and nobody has confirmed if the tune will indeed be released today.

Jealous? Yep, us too.

The lads, who are part of the London Irish Crew (along with Bressie and Laura Whitmore), are soaking up the sunny rays in Hollywood at the moment and decided to have a little splash in the pool yesterday.

The Mullingar man captioned the photo: "This was a bad idea. Any guesses why?"

No doubt he's talking about how sore that splash was on his bare skin, but to be honest, we rather that than the freezing chill hitting us when we wake up in the morning.

Niall Horan fans, we've some pretty bad news for you all today.

The singer has sent his fans into meltdown after revealing he was admitted into hospital.

The Mullingar man shared a photo on his Snapchat of himself in a hospital bed with plugs strapped onto his chest.

He told his followers on the social media site that he is suffering from Acid Reflux.

He captioned the picture: “Hooked up at the docs office – acid reflux is no  joke."

Acid Reflux is unfortunately known to affect your vocal chords, which can result in a scratchy, uncomfortable voice.

So, it might be a while until he can record that solo album he just signed with Universal Records.

We hope he gets better soon!

Even though Shawn Mendes' second album is coming out in only a few weeks, the singer is already thinking ahead to his third album.

But we'll be honest, he has a pretty great reason to be looking that far ahead. And that great reason is Niall Horan.

While speaking to the Daily Star, Shawn opened up about the collaboration:

"I'll definitely be working with Niall very soon. I got a chance to speak to him recently and we are definitely going to write together. 

“I would love to do something for my next record as well as his – we will have to wait and see."

Even though we're going to have to wait a while, we're super excited about this mix of artists.

It looks like Niall Horan is ready for his housewarming party.

The singer was spotted out shopping in a local supermarket, and left the store with trays of beer – Stella Artois to be exact.

Niall has spent the last six months renovating his €3 million LA home, so this week might finally be the week he properly moves in. 

And he was being a smart lad while shopping and also bought a crate of water… because we all know having a few drinks in the heat is not all it's cracked up to be.

However, we're not sure his neighbours will be too happy about a party since they had a little falling out a few months ago.

According to The Sun, Niall wanted to remove a tree from outside his home since it was blocking natural light from getting in.

His neighbours tried to protest the removal because they said the tree was historical. 

Let's hope they've worked everything out now!

Look, we all know guys and girls are pretty different when it comes to wishing their mates a happy birthday online.

Us ladies pour our hearts out and make an effort to recall each and every milestone moment in our friendship.

And lads? Well, lads do not.

Case in point: Our very own Niall Horan from Mullingar.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, Niall paid tribute to his former bandmate, Liam Payne, on his 23rd birthday, and managed to be fairly creepy in the process.

Sharing a photo of Liam cuddled up against his pal, Niall wrote: "Happy birthday @liampayne!! Miss your scent…"

Miss your scent? Well, if they're not the words left by a deranged stalker in a teen slasher flick, we don't know what are.

Surprisingly though, it looks like we're on our own when it comes to this particular post because thousands of Directioners are all over it.

From admitting that the snap had brought them to tears to declaring their love for the duo, it looks like it was only us grossed out by the wording… and the poo emoji.

Oh, well.

Niall Horan seems to be having a lot of problems lately.

Not only are his new LA neighbours not happy with him, now he and fellow 1D member Louis Tomlinson, have come under fire on Whatsapp.

The pair revealed that they have been receiving "disgusting" messages on the messaging app, and frankly, they're pretty fed up with it.

Taking to Twitter last night, Louis wrote: "Time to change my number.. Getting some disgusting stuff on Whatsapp (sic)… Losers!"

Shortly after, Niall jumped to his BFF's side, saying: "Me too mate. Horrific. Some of the things people are saying (sic)."

Trying to make the ordeal a little light-hearted, Louis then suggests they have a rap battle with the haters.

However, it looks like Niall has totally had enough as he later tweeted: "I wonder when they'll stop annoying us!"

Niall Horan has only recently bought a new home in Hollywood, but his neighbours already don't like him.

The singer is causing a stir with the residents as there's a historic tree in front of his house that he took down.

"These sort of celebs disrupt everything with no regard for others," said one neighbour.

According to The Sun, the One Direction star bought his new $3 million home in the same neighbourhood as Robert Pattison and Justin Timberlake.

The neighbour added: "Workers spent hours with a crane to lift the tree out."

It looks like Niall might have to throw a house party to sweeten his neighbours up!

Meghan Trainor has revealed she fancies our own Niall Horan.

The singer revealed her crush after she admitted that when she was at an event with One Direction, Niall was the only one to go over and have a conversation with her.

Not cool, guys, But, fair play to Niall.

"All the other boys walked by and he came up to me and I got swept off my feet by his Irish charm."

As anyone who’s ever flown long haul will know, there is nothing better than sleeping as you fly.  But as One Direction’s Niall Horan has discovered, catching forty winks mid-flight can have its disadvantages.

The Mullingar man shared a few choice words on Twitter last night after an overenthusiastic One D fan snapped him while he slept.

After finding themselves flying alongside the popstar, the fan shared a picture of Niall's nap with the caption: “And to sum up the PERFECT European adventure, I sat directly next to Niall from One Direction for 9 hours on my flight home from London last night.” 

“He was sick and asked for no selfies, but here is a pic I snapped when he was sleeping lol he was so friendly!” 

“Talked about Ireland, LSE, lolla, and more.  Not a British Duke…But an Irish Popstar will do.  Thanks for treating me so well Europe.”

Clearly Niall was less than impressed with his privacy being invaded as upon discovering the post he screenshotted it, re-shared it and wrote: “I think this sh*t is unreal.  I mean if you can’t sleep on a plane without people taking photos of you, what can u do” (sic).

 

 

In classic One Direction fashion, the band’s fans already have a hashtag trending over the incident.

#RespectNiall is currently doing the rounds on Twitter as fans share comments like “There are no words for this” and “All I can say is ‘HE’S REAL’”.

First Harry signed a solo recording deal, and then Liam sent fans into a frenzy when he revealed he was going out on his own as well.

But now, it's Niall Horan's turn.

Simon Cowell has revealed that Niall is set to announce his solo recording deal very soon, and he's teaming up with the major music mogule for it.

"Niall is the most loyal. We are expecting to announce something soon with him," the X Factor judge told People.

“I think they’re all going to do great. I worked with these guys for six years, so I always hoped they would all stay within what I call the Sony family, but I think only one won’t,” Simon added.

He's obviously referring to Liam here, who just signed with Capitol Records last week, and then went on to delete all trace of One Direction from his Twitter account.

We're sure Niall is used to female attention since blowing up with One Direction, but this time he took a moment out for his younger fan base.

The singer was playing golf in Co. Down over the weekend, and nine-year-old Holly Carlin couldn't believe it when she found out she was near to the star in the golf club.

Her mother told the Belfast Telegraph that they headed out to the golf course after word spread he was playing, but they certainly didn't expect to meet him face to face.

"I didn't want to tell anyone because I didn't want word to get out.

“This was our one chance to see him, and eventually he came out. We waited for a few hours, but it was all worth it. Holly was in tears. She was so emotional, and in the pictures she was half crying and half smiling.”

And Niall, being the gentleman that he is, even gave Holly his golf glove.

“She is still in the clouds. It was like a dream come true. She has loved him since she was four. She’s always asked me if I think she’d ever get to meet him.

“We were planning to go to the Open on Wednesday, and I had warned her that she probably wouldn’t get near him, so it’s unbelievable that it happened like this,” Holly’s mam said.

Niall is currently gearing up for the Pro-Am tournament at the Northern Ireland Open in Galgorm next week.
