With her lean figure, perfect curves and flowing blonde hair, Gigi Hadid seems like perfect model material to us, but not everyone agrees.

The 20-year-old model took to Instagram yesterday to hit back at critics of her body shape, saying she refused to take cruel comments to heart any longer. 

"I'm human, I'm not going to lie, I did let the negativity get to me a little," she admitted in the post, which she wrote over several days before posting online.

While Gigi's athletic body is a change from the boyish, super-skinny models so often seen on the catwalks, she says the progression should be seen as a good thing.

"I represent a body image that wasn't accepted in high fashion before," wrote the LA native, who has walked for Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg and Versace over the last fortnight alone.

"Yes I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm fitting into the sample sizes."

With a 64cm waist and 89cm hips, Gigi is just a few centimetres bigger than fellow model and BFF Kendall Jenner, but it seems that size difference has made her a target for some.

"I went to almost all of the agencies in New York when I first visited. A lot of them wanted to sign me but also kind of indirectly were telling me that I needed to change in some way," the model told Vogue.com yesterday.

"I signed with IMG because of how they supported me, who I am and who I already was. I always said I’m not going to change for anyone because I was really proud of who I was."

As a former volleyball champ, Gigi favoured a more muscular look in her teens, and says being skinny was never something she aspired to.

"I had crazy muscles and I [ate] like a man – more than the man that I eat like now, like a bigger man – and it was crazy but at the time I didn't care what my body looked like," she told Daily Mail last month.

"I just wanted to be the best volleyball player I could be so it didn't really matter to me."

We're loving Gigi's positive body image attitude.

During the week Kanye West debuted his new Yeezy clothing line at New York Fashion Week. The controversial show attracted lots of attention. Firstly because of the star studded FROW, at which North West completely stole everyone’s attention.

Then there was also the fact that his designs have become the topic of much debate. While his family, the Kardashians including, have yet to stop raving about his designs other celebs are not so taken with his vision.

Rapper Ice-T, well known for his role on Law & Order: SVU as well as his hip-hop fame, took to social media to let the public know exactly how he felt about the new designs.

He definitely didn’t hold back:

He posted a photo of several of the models dressed in a range of black and green outfits from the rapper’s debut collection, Yeezy Season 1. He then added that because he’s “not POP” he can speak freely about his opinions on the designs.

While Kanye’s latest collection featured mostly nude shades perhaps Ice was doing something of a ‘throwback Thursday’?

Kanye has not commented on the tweet as of yet, but Ice isn’t the first person to take issue with the Yeezy line.

When Kanye announced that his show would take place this week, it came quite some time after other, non-celeb designers had done their promotional rounds for their shows.

Specifically, designer Anne Bowen was pretty miffed about the whole thing and told Women’s Wear Daily:

“Our show date has been scheduled for months and has been on the Fashion Calendar for weeks…  Yesterday we learned that Kanye West is having a show at the same time on the same date as ours.

Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It's like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this."

Both Drake and Lorde were in New York to enjoy one of the most fashionable events of the year. While many people were concerned about Lorde’s eye which was looking quite red and swollen and generally painful, other eagle-eyes fans noticed something far more exciting.

When she and Drake posed for a photo at Kanye’s show, music fans around the world got very excited.

Then they realised what Drake had captioned the image:

“Wifey (Low Key,” and some fabulous diamond ring emoji’s were enough to send fans into overdrive.

The fact that Lorde already has a song called Tennis Court, which we know is a place where Drake spends a lot of time, only got people more excited because clearly this means they have some common interests.

She then of course responded to the excitement of Drake’s caption with a cute little tweet of her own. She seemed pretty pleased about Drake’s affection for her, although we don’t know who wouldn’t be.

Serena Williams more than likely. Serena and Drake have been spotted looking mighty cosy out and about of late. The Canadian rapper has also been on hand to show Serena support at her last few tennis tournaments. The pair did cause quite a stir at Wimbledon.

We just hope Drake doesn’t caption the next post with a lady friend “bae” because apparently Serena didn’t appreciate his term of endearment for Anna Wintour. The comment has since been deleted but it made the rounds earlier this week:

New York Fashion Week has taken its toll on New Zealand singer Lorde, who took to Instagram yesterday to show off a rather nasty beauty disaster.

The Royals hitmaker posted two selfies showing off her "screaming and weeping" right eye free of make-up, though she was still working the winged liner on her other eye.

Rather than answer the same questions over and over again for journalists at Kanye West's Yeezy show that day, Lorde chose to address the issue on Instagram instead.

"One question: what happened to your eye?" she captioned the first selfie, taken in the middle of her hair and make-up session.

And after returning to her hotel following Kanye's show, the Kiwi singer gave some further insight, saying she would rather be out and about than holed up in her bedroom.

"The skin is peeling off my lips and hands these days I very rarely see the sun," she wrote.

"My eye is weeping and screaming and it's fashion week and everyone already thinks i'm strange and it's a kanye show where the freaks are beautiful so why not say fuck it and let's dance with the melodrama?"

We like her attitude.

Eye infection or not, Lorde took pride of place in the front row at the Yeezy catwalk presentation, sitting between Kourtney Kardashian and Givenchy creative director Ricardo Tisci.

So important was Lorde's presence that poor Kendall was renegated to the second row behind all of her sisters – awks.

Even with pink eye, she's still killing it in the style stakes… total win.

Poor Kendall Jenner has obviously been feeling the strain that comes with being a sought-after model during NYFW, but she's still smiling.

The 19-year-old model took to Instagram yesterday between catwalk shows to give us a glimpse of the chaos.

In a video shared with her 36.7m followers, Kendall sits in the front seat of her car, with her black jeans rolled up to the knee, casually shaving her legs.

Definitely a time-saver… as long as you don't drive over any speed bumps mid-shave. 

The reality-star-turned-supermodel has already walked for Givenchy and Diane Von Furstenburg so far this NYFW, the latter with her "fashion week partner in crime" Gigi Hadid.

This is Gigi's first NYFW, but we doubt she was too nervous as she's had both Kendall AND her younger sister Bella by her side for her shows so far.

The Hadid sisters wowed on the Tommy Hilfiger catwalk yesterday, even stopping for a kiss mid-strut.

Talk about a proud hubby.

David Beckham was sitting front and centre beside Anna Wintour at his wife Victoria's New York Fashion Week show, and he couldn't have looked any happier to be there. 

16-year-old Brooklyn also came along to support his mum, but for once it wasn't any of the Beckham kids that had us saying 'aaaaw.' Behold, the grown man's smile that will melt your heart:

Dressed smartly in a brown suit and white shirt, David seemed totally at home amongst the fashion elite, though he didn't forget his signature flat cap.

Taking to Instagram after the show, David seemed elated by his wife's success, writing "Amazing show" alongside a loveheart emoji and a picture of the models' final strut down the catwalk.

Brooklyn also posted on social media earlier in the day, sharing a picture of the empty Meat Packing District venue with the caption, "Good luck mum."

The new collection features a bold jewel-toned palette with lots of vibrant prints – a first for Victoria, who said she was "excited" to introduce more colour and texture.

The 41-year-old's show also introduced the 'half moon bag,' a gorgeous oversized leather tote which we predict will be next season's most coveted arm candy.

Speaking about the new collection – and her brand ethos – after the show, Victoria said she hoped it would have a wide appeal.

"It’s a collection for all shapes and sizes — I always say it, but I just want women to feel like the best versions of themselves."

Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner are Fashion Week veterans at this stage, but it was their younger sister Kylie who stole the limelight last night.

The 18-year-old sat front row at the Alexander Wang show at New York's Pier 94, and even brought her boyfriend Tyga along for the occasion.

In standard Kylie style, she was sure to share some behind-the-scenes videos of the evening via Snapchat… including one very telling clip of herself and 25-year-old rapper Tyga.

Dancing with her man, Kylie looks into the camera before leaning in to kiss his top lip.

It doesn't look like the most romantic of smooches, given that Tyga's massive gold grill gets in the way, but there's no denying they're locking lips.

After posing for cameras in her black Alexander Wang AW15 black button down dress, Kylie made a quick change for a night out with her girls, Justine Skye and Anastasia Karanikolaou, known as Stassie.

Kylie posted a group selfie of the trio in her hotel room before they headed out, saying she was ready for a "much needed girls night."

Despite talk of it being a girls' night, Tyga was again present for the evening's main event, the Alexander Wang after party at Up & Down in the West Village.

Since turning 18, Kylie has been getting more and more open about her relationship with the rapper, although recently she tricked fans with a seriously sexy – but fake – video.

The intimate video shows Kylie locked in an embrace with someone who looks like Tyga, but in reality is one of Kylie's friends dressed as him.

Despite massive speculation surrounding her marriage of late, Julia Roberts was all smiles as she made an appearance a the Givenchy show in NYC last week.

The 47-year old was chosen by Ricardo Tisci as the new face of the brand and was named a "generational icon of beauty and elegance. 

Wearing an all black outfit with a natural make-up look, she joined guests Kim and Kanye West at the big bash. While Julia was busy rubbing shoulders with other A-Listers she seemed pretty content.

However, media outlets were reporting that while she was away in NYC, back home in California things were not going so well. 

RadarOnline reports that various moving vans were spotted outside her Malibu home which has added further fuel to rumours that the actress and her husbnad Daniel Moder are headed for divorce. 

Since last year rumours have been floating that the duo were splitting up. However just last month the couple, and their three children Hazel, Henry and Phinnaeus seemed happy as could be as they were spotted with pro surfer Kelly Slater.

However, TMZ has reported since last year their marriage was in trouble. According to a source "there are a lot of issues with money."

The insider explained that "Julia said she doled out millions of dollars in mortgage paymenrs for [Moder's father]. She helped him out for at least five years, and she got tired of footing the bill."

In February of this year it was also reported that Daniel did not attend the funeral of Julia's mother when she sadly passed away.

We thought we knew as much as there to know about Kylie Jenner. The 18-year old reality TV star keeps everyone updated so frequently with her daily Snapchat stories that some days we feel like we know her better than some of our actual friends. She likes to keep us all in the loop.

As it turns out, there is one major skill that she has been keeping from us all this time. We knew she had mastered the art of the selfie a long time ago, and there's no denying she can do hair transformations like no other. However, we had no that the youngest Kardashian-Jenner is quite the chef.

"Kylie can throw down in the kitchen, she can cook!" her bestie Justine Skye told E! News about Kylie.

The singer couldn't stop talking about Kylie's skills in the kitchen as she made an appearance at the Fashion Police New York Fashion Week kick-off party. 

The Emotionally Unavailable singer (who makes an appearance in Kylie's Snapchat stories from time to time incase you were curious), believes that the brand new adult is something of a domestic goddess. 

"She is just an amazing cook. I literally can live in her house and have her cook for me."

Cooking actually is not the only skill that Kylie's been working on according to Syke. She thinks that Kylie's hair transformations are worthy of serious praise. 

Her frequent style changes continue to impress it would seem. She noted that right now is the perfect time for Kylie to experiment with her style:

"I feel like we are young and it's necessary cause we are young and we are just having fun and we are experimenting."

She added that "You got to do it all now while you are still a teenager and young adult."

"'Cause when your older, you gotta be more conservative and like womanly so I feel like now are just having fun!"

Her kitchen skills though still take centre stage when it came to heaping praise on her friend:

"She makes the bomb fried chicken. I know everybody is gonna say something, but she actually makes the bomb fried chicken.

Rihanna has found herself linked with several different famous faces over the last number of months.

The Umbrella singer has not confirmed any of the rumour surrounding her relationship status aside from calling out one NBA player who claimed they were item. They were not.

Now TMZ is reporting that anyone who thought Rihanna and rapper Travis Scott were the latest celebrity couple may not have been wrong. The pair have been rumoured to be an item since the beginning of September according to Hollywood Life things between the duo are getting serious.

A source claims that Riri thinks “he is super sexy and the right amount of bad boy that she is attracted to. She is having fun with him.”

She also thinks he is a “rapping genius” and a “super stylish guy to be around” so she is really enjoying his company.

Not surprising then that the pair were spotted at one of the many parties taking place in NYC for Fashion Week.

The pair were at the New York Edition Hotel certainly looked like a couple as they met with Justin Timberlake. Their PDA filled escapades were captured by paparazzi at the party as they got nice and cozy at the DJ booth.

They also threw some serious shapes on the dancefloor when Bitch Better Have My Money was played. There was a lot of fist pumping happening.

Never one to miss the chance of donning the finest pieces her wardrobe has to offer, Kim Kardashian stepped out at New York Fashion Week with husband Kanye West.

The reality star took some of the constant attention away from her growing baby bum as she wore a beige high-waisted peplum top with a skirt by Givenchy. The beige outfit left plenty of Kim’s leg on show, and also, her toes.

Interestingly it seems that it was her footwear that Kim seemed most concerned about. The reality TV star took to social media to share some details of her outfit and Kanye fans got excited.

 

SNEAK PEEK- YEEZY SEASON2

The peep toe thigh high boots appeared on her Instagram just hours later with the caption: “SNEAK PEEK – YEEZY SEASON 2”.

Kim does seem to have a thing about peep toes recently. Earlier this week while out about with daughter North she paired a brown pair with a body con mustard dress. North wore some badass looking biker boots, FYI.

While her ensemble certainly looks Kanye inspired, there has been no actual confirmation that he’s going to be branching out from high-end trainers just yet.

What has been announced recently however was the full price list for Kanye’s Yeezy line with Adidas. Complex referred to them as “mind-bogglingly large” and we are inclined to agree.

Apparently he has tried with season 1 to make his prices more accessible, and maybe some fans will be content, but we’re struggling to justify almost €400 for a long-sleeved t-shirt.

While none of us can deny the importance of a good winter coat, shelling out €2700 for one with Kanye’s name on the label might be pushing it.

Life just got a lot busier for Lauren Conrad.

The 29-year-old former reality star took to Instagram this week to reveal she'll be Fashion Week bound come September. Lauren's newest LC Lauren Conrad collection will debut at New York Fashion week on September 9th, with all items available to purchase online directly after the show.

Posting a picture of herself wearing a flowing white gown from the new line, Lauren wrote, "I am so excited to announce that I’ll be debuting a new @LCLaurenConrad collection at #NYFW on September 9! We have been hard at work for months and I am so excited to finally be able to tell everyone! #LCRunway."

The pieces on show at NYFW are all inspired by fantasy and wonderland, which is fitting considering that Lauren's previous two collections were based around Cinderella and Minnie Mouse themes.

This time around, expect lots of pastels, lace, tulle and florals. If you're keen to get a first look but can't quite make it to New York, panic not as the full show will be streamed live on LCRunway.com on the day.

It might be NYFW, but the LC line is very budget-friendly indeed, as is to be expected given that it's all designed and sold in partnership with US department store chain Kohl's. Prices for the Fashion Week collection will range from around €15 to €200… not bad for a runway look.

Lauren has been working with Kohl's since 2009, and the low-key line has been far more commercially successful than her high end range, The Lauren Conrad Collection, which flopped in 2008 after just two years.

We'll be looking out for Lauren's new husband William Tell and bestie Lo Bosworth and sitting proudly in the front row on September 9th…
