Just two months ago, Halle Berry furiously denied rumours she was splitting from her husband of two years, Olivier Martinez.

But now it seems the pair are indeed going their separate ways, with TMZ reporting that Halle filed for divorce this week.

"They have a personality difference," a source tells the site. "They're just very, very different people."

It's thought last week's court drama involving French actor Olivier and an airport employee further exacerbated the couple's ongoing marriage troubles.

In January Olivier reportedly hit a staff member at LAX with a child's car seat while trying to get out of the way of crowds of fans and photographers. He was officially sued for the incident last Friday, October 23.

As far back as August, Halle was pictured without her wedding bands on, leading to intense speculation that the couple's marriage was over.

But her rep soon clarified that the actress had in fact lost her diamond engagement ring while visiting Mexico for the Acapulco Film Festival.

At the time a source said there had "been no discussion about divorce with an attorney."

Halle and Olivier have one child together, two-year-old Maceo, while the actress also has a six-year-old daughter named Nahla with her ex, Gabriel Aubry.

The impending divorce will mean more relationship drama for Halle, who recently took Gabriel to court over claims he had tried to make their daughter appear Caucasian by dyeing her hair blonde.

At the time Halle said Gabriel's actions could cause severe "psychological damage" to their daughter.
