We have to say, we were pretty delighted that all the One Direction lads showed up to the X Factor to support their band mate, and friend, Louis Tomlinson.

Louis took to the stage on Saturday night to sing his debut song, Just Hold On, in tribute to his late mother, Johannah Deakin, who passed away last Wednesday.

The 1D lads were all there in the audience to support him and even went out with him afterwards in London.

However, only a few hours later, Niall Horan was back in the US, and when reporters asked him why the quick visit, Niall simply said he had "a very good reason."

As the Mullingar man stepped back on US soil, a reporter shouted to him, "Weren't you in the UK like an hour ago?"

Niall replied, "Yeah, I flew home for… I was in the UK for twenty hours. For a very good reason."

A source who was behind the scenes at the X Factor told The Sun: “It was an incredible and special thing for them to get back together as a four and be like brothers again.

“Niall flew in overnight from New York so he could be there and Liam came from Los Angeles. It was that important they were together. 

“They were all in Louis’ dressing room together and it was obviously an incredible emotional night," they added.

It's safe to say that One Direction broke our hearts when they announced they were taking a break.

And, even though we've had time to get used to the idea, the boys have given no sign of reuniting… until now.

Yep, our fave, Niall Horan spoke to Sunday People and told them that it would be "ridiculous" if they didn't get back together.

“We will back. We would be silly not to… ridiculous.

“At the moment we are all doing our own thing. Harry wanted to do his movie and everyone is just chilling.

From Gigi’s impersonations to Selena’s heart-wrenching acceptance speech, last night’s American Music Awards ceremony was an emotional rollercoaster for all involved.

And it seems Zayn Malik did not escape the intense level of social media scrutiny allocated to the event as he has been criticised online for slagging One Direction during his acceptance speech.

Picking up the award for best ‘New Artist of the Year’, the 23-year-old popstar looked towards the crowd before excitedly saying: “This one just has my name on it, right?”

He then paused before thanking his family and fans for their support, but failed to mention his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

Having eagerly awaited Zayn’s run-in with former bandmate Niall Horan, One Direction’s followers were left disappointed as they witnessed the PILLOWTALK singer’s surprised reaction to the Mullingar man’s handshake.

“THE FACT THAT ZAYN WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE HE DIDN’T THINK NIALL WOULD WALK UP TO HIM,” tweeted one saddened fan alongside a tearful Kris Jenner meme.

“I’m positive Zayn would have never gone up to Niall…Niall’s a genuinely great guy and I’m sure he misses his friend,” wrote another.

The brief interaction has prompted the “ZiallOnAMAs” hashtag on Twitter.

Having spoken openly about his issues with anxiety, Zayn Malik has now revealed he suffered from an eating disorder while he was part of One Direction.

In his new self-titled autobiography, the singer admitted to not eating for days at a time in a possible bid to feel some sense of control over his life.

As reported by The Sun, the 23-year-old wrote: “When I look back at images of myself from around November 2014, before the final tour, I can see how ill I was.”

“Something I’ve never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder.”

“It wasn’t as though I had any concerns about my weight or anything like that,” he continued.  “I’d just go for days – sometimes two or three days straight – without eating anything at all.  It got quite serious, although at the time I didn’t recognise it for what it was.”

“I think it was about control,” confessed Zayn.  “I didn’t feel like I had control over anything else in my life, but food was something I could control, so I did.”

“I had lost so much weight I had become ill.  The workload and the pace of life on the road put together with the pressures and strains of everything going on within the band had badly affected my eating habits.”

Despite his book’s claims, on Friday Zayn told The Associated Press that he was never officially diagnosed with an eating disorder.

He also suggested that he now has a better relationship with food, saying he is “a bit older and a bit more wiser (sic)”.

If bets are anything to go by, it looks like Niall Horan could be the next member to leave One Direction.

Despite Niall saying last week that a reunion is in the "foreseeable future," bookies believe that he'll soon say goodbye to the lads.

Since the Mullingar man dropped This Town, there has been a huge surge in bets on him quitting.

Tim Reynolds, Sun Bets spokesperson told The Sun: "We've seen money this morning on Niall to leave One Direction, and a most of it has come from Irish punters, we think they might know something we don't.

"We had Niall as the 5/1 outsider to be the next band member to leave 1D, but after the number of bets we've seen today we've now suspended betting.

"One way or another, I suspect this could be the end of One Direction," he added.

Having recently confessed his reluctance to working with girl bands, Louis Walsh has now taken a pop at The X Factor’s biggest success story, One Direction.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine, the outspoken television personality called the lads “monsters”, before predicting that Harry Styles will be the only member of the band who will have continued success.

The 64-year-old Mayo man said: “Too much money, too much success, too quickly.  They all think they’re going to be solo stars.  They’re not.  Only Harry.  That’s it.”

Continuing to bash the band, Louis suggested they will eventually regret breaking up.

“Then they’ll be sorry they broke up,” he continued.  “And it’ll be too late because there’s another boy band.  That always happens in boy bands.”

On a lighter note, the music mogul was optimistic about Liam Payne and Cheryl’s relationship.

He admitted: “I think Liam and Cheryl are going to work out…He’s a nice guy and he’s in love with her.  He’ll make her happy.”

Their short-lived marriage barely limped on for 18months, but the subsequent divorce of Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini and Chery Cole has been in the offing for close-to a year.

However, it has now been revealed that the former X Factor judge and her estranged businessman spouse will be granted a divorce in a London court on Thursday.

Neither party will be required to appear in person.

It is believed that Jean Bernard – affectionately known as JB to his friends – will not receive a financial settlement as part of the split. 

A source told The Sun: "This has been the result of months of negotiations, but Cheryl and JB reached an agreement two months ago. And there has been no financial settlement… JB is not going to be paid any money by Cheryl."

In light of her relationship with One Direction star Liam Payne, 23, Cheryl has been eager to get her divorce finalised as soon as possible. 

Several photographs of the popstar suggest that she is pregnant with her first child – another motivating factor in bringing her second marriage to an end before the year is out.

It is not know how far into her pregnancy the 33-year-old is, but some sources have told tabloid publications that she is already nearing the six-month mark.

Liam Payne tweeted the Mullingar man yesterday sending him support and saying he was proud of him. 

Former One Direction member Harry Styles also sent our Nialler a tweet, complimenting the new single! 

Louis Tomlinson, proud dad to Freddie Reign, sent Niall a tweet telling him he was "super proud" of him. 

We love how supportive these lads are with each other.

HOWEVER, Zayn has been very quiet on the matter.

The Cheryl Cole pregnancy rumours continue apace – after her mum was spotted buying a pregnancy pillow in Mothercare. 

In an image posted to Twitter, Joan Callaghan can be seen at the till, paying for the item.

The pillows can be used during pregnancy and after the baby is born and are designed to help support an expectant mother's bump, back and knees.

Cherly, 33, and Joan, 58,  are know to be particularly close.

Earlier this year, fans were critical of Ms Callaghan's continued presence during the dates of her daughter and Liam Payne, 23.

Indeed, Cheryl felt compelled to issue a comment on the matter in March of this year.

Taking to Twitter "to clear a few things up," she stated: "There have been a lot of unfair comments about my Mam today and I have to clear a few things up in her defence.

"While I am extremely close to my Mam and respect her entirely, she does not and never has had any influence in any of my relationships.

"As a 32-year-old woman I make my own decisions and choices and take full responsibility for them."

Joan lived with her daughter and Ashley Cole during their marriage and it was widely rumoured that the constant presence of his mother-in-law caused the former footballer considerable discomfort. 

Cherly and Liam began dating last December following the break-down of her second marriage to French businessman Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini.

Numerous sources have said that with the former X Factor judge recently celebrating her 33rd birthday, she is desperate to have a baby with her One Direction love.

Jealous? Yep, us too.

The lads, who are part of the London Irish Crew (along with Bressie and Laura Whitmore), are soaking up the sunny rays in Hollywood at the moment and decided to have a little splash in the pool yesterday.

The Mullingar man captioned the photo: "This was a bad idea. Any guesses why?"

No doubt he's talking about how sore that splash was on his bare skin, but to be honest, we rather that than the freezing chill hitting us when we wake up in the morning.

Few bands have fans as obsessive as One Direction, so it’s no great surprise that even the smallest hint of the band’s reunion has sent their followers into total overdrive.

Despite announcing their hiatus earlier this year, a button labelled “future events” recently appeared on One D’s official website and fans are taking it as a major sign that their beloved Liam, Niall, Harry and Louis are planning to regroup.

It is unclear as to when exactly the button appeared, but according to The Express until recently the tour section of their site only included a “past events” section.

But just as a “ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection” hashtag began to produce gold on Twitter, fans were floored as the “future events” button was once again deleted.

 

And as if that wasn't bad enough, it has now been reported that the lads could be headed for the Irish High Court.

While it is not yet known what the case relates to, the Irish Independent has reported that a County Louth law firm has issued action on behalf of a client named David Lewis in which all five of the band’s original members as well as three songwriters who worked on Story of My Life are named.

This news has further rocked the band’s so-called “fandom”.

Simon Cowell held their hands and helped them get into the big-time, but now it appears he's a little bitter about the One Direction lads going their separate ways.

With Zayn quitting, Niall and Liam signing to different labels and Harry taking a stab at acting, they all seemed to veer off from Simon's reign in the past year or so.

And it's getting the music mogul down. He told The Sun: "I hear so many things now which they're doing, which I'm not involved with.

"It's a bit like I'm getting the hint you don't want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous"

"It's a bit annoying, if I am honest with you. Mainly because it's another label who has now got your artist and who you worked with for so many years."

We get where he's coming from, but let them live, Simon! You can't control everything.
