Actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy has revealed the reason she decided to design a plus-size clothing line.

Melissa was talking to Redbook magazine when she spoke about the difficulty she had in finding a dress for the 2011 Oscars, saying: “Two Oscars ago, I couldn’t find anyone to do a dress for me. I asked five or six designers … Very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people, and they all said no.”

The Bridesmaids star also spoke about the hard time she has when shopping: “When I go shopping, most of the time I’m disappointed.”

Thankfully, Melissa knows exactly what is important in life – and it isn’t fame or the “perfect” body: “Success doesn’t define us [her and her husband], even though we love what we do. The important thing is our family and kids.”

Well, we hope those silly designers are kicking themselves now!

It’s been a month since the Oscars, but it seems that John Travolta cannot escape that infamous introduction of Idina Menzel.

Travolta’s confusion over Idina’s name went viral, as he managed to call the actress something that resembled: “Adele Dazeem.”

Idina has finally opened up about John’s name mistake and admits that his introduction threw her before she had to perform.

“It threw me for like eight seconds because I had done this whole preparation to make sure I really was in my body and didn’t get too nervous. And there was Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep sitting there make me so nervous. “

The Frozen actress admitted that she got through her big Oscar performance by imagining she was singing the Frozen hit to her son.

“So I was picturing my son Walker and singing it to him like we do in the bathtub and make sure I breathe — and then [Travolta] said my name like that and I was like, ‘Did that just happen?'”

John has clearly felt terrible about his mistake and has even sent a bouquet of flowers to the Frozen actress. But Idina is willing to Let It Go and is choosing to focus on the positive outcome that came from the famous name slip.

“I don’t want to keep saying it because I don’t want him to feel worse or anything, because he sent lots of apologies and everything that were really nice.”

It’s been two weeks since the Oscars but it seems that John Travolta is still not over his embarrassing name mix up at the award ceremony.

Travolta introduced the Frozen star, Idina Menzel as “Adele Dazeem” just as  she was about to perform the Frozen hit Let It Go.

Travolta decided to make up for the mispronunciation by sending a bouquet of flowers to Idina at the location of her new musical in New York.

Even though Idina has said to have laughed off the name mix up; it was still nice of John to send her the bouquet.

‘Batkid’ was funded by the Make-a-Wish Foundation and saw 5 year-old Miles Scotts’ dream of being Batman for a day come true.

Miles is recovering from lymphoblastic leukaemia. The entire city of San Francisco got involved and even President Barack Obama had a role. See the video above.

‘Batkid’ was supposed to be honoured at this year’s Oscars ceremony.

When the producers of Sunday’s Oscars ceremony were forced to cancel Batkid’s segment, no one was more upset that Andrew Garfield.

It was arranged that Miles and his family would go to Disneyland where Andrew drove down to meet them.

The Academy have taken full responsibility for the unfortunate event saying: “Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production.”

It is not known if this incident has anything to do with Emma Stone’s unexplained absence at the awards ceremony.

The Oscars 2014 ‘In Memoriam’ section included many famous faces in the industry that were lost since last year such as Roger Ebert, Shirley Temple, Paul Walker and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

However, Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on Glee and also starred  in movies  Monte Carlo and the upcoming McCanick, was omitted from the memoriam.

Camera assistant, Sarah Jones, who died in a tragic on-set accident on February 20th was mentioned following a social media campaign #ribbonsforsarah.

Meanwhile, Cory’s girlfriend, Lea Michele, has released a song that is said to be about Cory’s last words to her called If You Say So. So heartbreaking.

This is SO much worse (and funnier) than Leo’s PhilMania slip at the Golden Globes.

While trying to introduce Frozen‘s Idina Menzel, John Travolta uttered something that resembled “Adele Dazeem” instead of the Broadway star’s actual name.

We can only assume he has about twenty people to tell him his one line, as well as having it in front of him while reading it aloud, so how did he get it wrong?

Watch the hilarious clip above – it is so cringe-worthy.

Despite Travolta’s rocky intro to her performance, Idina absolutely killed it on stage and her performance was flawless.

Cate Blanchett has confessed that she is pretty nervous about this year’s Oscars.

Talking to Ok ! Magazine, the Blue Jasmine star  admitted that she has “butterflies” in her stomach ahead of tonight’s award ceremony.

The actress, who was awarded an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Aviator in 2004, has been nominated for Best Actress for her role in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine.

Talking about the awards ceremony, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star said: “A lot of effort goes into effortlessness of walking up that marathon red carpet. I wake up with butterflies in my stomach. You never know the outcome. It has been an extraordinary year in films, so to be at the banquet is a privilege.”

She said: ”Fortunately I have the most extraordinarily supportive family and friends, and my identity is not based on either my work or any of this.”
