A massive police hunt for a ‘kidnap victim’ was launched after a man told his terrified girlfriend he was being held hostage – just so he could stay out partying!

Well, we never!

The investigation – which cost several thousands of pounds – saw officers raid a number of homes, trawl through CCTV footage and mobile phones and even arrest one man on suspicion of kidnap.

Hours after the police investigation started, officers found the man partying at a house in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He told the police it was a “wind up” before he was arrested and given a fixed penalty notice for wasting police time.

That’ll teach him!

The search started after the man's girlfriend became worried when she called her boyfriend's phone at 6.30pm on Friday night.

Another person answered the phone and told her that her other half would not be allowed home until he had paid a £50 debt.

A short time later, she received a text that said he would be home within the hour. But when she spoke to him again shortly afterwards, the boyfriend said he was being held against his will.                                

A number of houses in Bolton in the UK were searched before police found the man at a different house nearby.

Detective Inspector Jo Clawson, said, “The man’s girlfriend was absolutely beside herself with worry and genuinely concerned that he would come to harm.

“Considerable resources and time then went into finding this man, who it transpires made the entire thing up so he could stay out and party.

“This is without doubt one of the most foolish and irresponsible incidents I have been involved in.”

Prince Harry is in for a birthday bash to remember, after sis-in-law Kate invited two of his MAJOR exes!

The Duchess of Cambridge is organising a party at Kensington Palace on September 15th to celebrate Harry’s big 3-0!

And his old flames Cressida Bonas AND Chesly Davy are both on the guest list.

Kate has also invited Harry’s new love interest, charity worker Camilla Thurlow.

Harry has kept in close touch with Chelsy, who is now dating jeweller Charles Goode, since their six-year romance ended in 2010, but hasn’t been seen out with Cressida since they split in April.

Fireworks ahead?!

Kate has been overseeing arrangements for the bash with help from hubby Wills and Harry’s BFF club owner Guy Pelly.

They are planning to give one of the rooms in Kensington Palace a nightclub theme, with sexy dancers and a cocktail mixologist.

We wonder how this will go down with the rest of the Royals!

The singer delighted fans recently when he turned up to a pool party in Las Vegas with his friend Jazzy Jeff. His son, Trey, was also hitting the decks at the Palms Casino Resort.

It wasn’t long before Jump On It began to play, and, never one to disappoint, Will ripped off his T-shirt, hopped on stage and did the moves.

It has been reported that Made In Chelsea star, Alex Mytton, collapsed at the Secret Garden party in Cambridgeshire. 

The reality TV star and former boyfriend of Binky Feldstead, was said to have been attending the party with co-stars Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews where witnesses said Alex was seen having a “seizure-like” episode.

His spokesperson later said of the incident: “Alex was taken ill at the Secret Garden Party this weekend due to heat exhaustion and dehydration. He was treated at the medical tent and was soon able to rejoin the event.”

Oh no, we hope you feel better soon, Alex!

Wow, look at her! Cheryl celebrated her wedding to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini last night by hosting an extravagant wedding party.

Cheryl wore a stunning black gown by Ralph and Russo and looked every inch the glam bride.

The event was held in London and attended by many of Cheryl’s close friends such as Kimberley Walsh, Nicole Robert, Rochelle Humes as well as her mum, Joan.

One Direction’s Harry Styles is said to have gotten back together with his ex-girlfriend, model Paige Reifler.

The pair were originally linked in 2013 but in a series of photos posted to Instagram, the singer is seen posing and kissing the 19-year-old, sparking rumours that their relationship is back on track!

Harry and Paige were also spotted getting cosy at an exclusive party at Shoreditch House in London this week.

The super hot couple apparently left the main party, which was on the rooftop next to the pool, and went downstairs to the more private restaurant.

Ooo-er!

Paige is said to be absolutely smitten with the 1D star and who knows – she could the one to finally tame his flirty ways.

Is it ok that part of us hopes that she isn’t?!

Frankie Sandford’s bandmates made sure she had the best possible send off by planning her a fabulous second hen do last night!

Fellow The Saturdays’ star Mollie King still can’t believe that her bestie is getting married to footballer Wayne Bridge later in July, and captioned her snaps from the night, “Frankie’s hen! Can’t believe she’s getting MARRIED.”

The girls partied into the night at the plush Henley Royal Regatta, and even sipped (licked) champagne ice pops at one point.

Yum!

Frankie had already partied up a storm on her first hen do in Ibiza, but who can blame a girl for wanting another girls-only bash?

Party gal Vanessa even posed with an entire bottle of vodka. Yikes! She also found an gatecrasher who was catching forty winks near by, and posed for a snap with him, adding, “Don’t fall asleep next to a hen party….”

We couldn’t see snaps of our very own Una Healy with the girls, but on July 1st she tweeted, “Tonsilitis.”

OK, so we all know how upset Miley Cyrus was when her dog Floyd died in April.

But isn’t this taking it a bit too far?

Miley and her friends all got matching tattoos of Floyd onto their sides at a party at the singer’s LA home yesterday.

The Wrecking Ball star posted the snaps of the tattoos to Instagram – which include a speech bubble saying, “with a little help from my fwends.”

We thought Miley was finally getting over Floyd after she adopted an adorable new pup called Emu last week, but now we’re really not so sure.

She had the work done after she posted a picture of herself taking a not-so-sly puff from a ‘joint’ being held by a man wearing a unicorn head… as you do!

Miley’s pal posted the snap with the caption, “Finally at Cyrus’s place with rainbow unicorn passing a joint…”

There is always a few of these people at a college house party. Try to make sure you aren’t one of them!

1. The Snapchat Story guy
The guy who spends more time taking photos and adding them to his “Snapchat Story” than he does actually socialising with anyone at the party. Why he feels the need to catalogue everything about his boring night so he can look at it in the morning and “show off” to his friends, we don’t know.

The ridiculously drunk guy who freaks out because somebody ashed into his drink by accident. Everybody proceeds to take the p*ss out of him because of his hilarious antics, until he lashes out at the closest door, wall or chair in his way. Silence follows, usually by him being kicked out of the house.

w3. The turn-the-music-down kid
Don’t be this person. “Hey, guys could you turn the music down a little?” Nothing sinks your buzz more than this.

This is the person who is at EVERY party – the one who cannot handle their drink, slips and slides all over the house and slurs their words before 11pm. They usually have someone “taking care” of them just after midnight and either pass out on the couch or get taken home early.

e5. The random guy
The guy who nobody knows! Nobody invited him but he’s showed up and managed to sneak in, wearing the creepiest grin you’ll ever see. He stands against the far corner wall, his knee propped upright to support him, sipping on a can of Miller Lite and eyeballing every girl in the room. Agh!

wild-card6. The annoying photo-bomber
This one shuffles around the house at a tremendous speed, not speaking to anybody for over 5 minutes, and jumps halfway across the room to ensure that his fat head leaps into the frame of every girl who’s trying to take a picture with her friends.

7. The drinking game guy
The one who barges into the party late, attempting to clear everything off the table and shut down the music so he can set up BEER PONG! Or even ignite a game of “Kings.”
