You may have spotted Olivia Palermo rocking a seriously sleek military jacket recently.

If you didn't – well, she looked ALL sorts of fab. 

And suffice to say if chic Miss Olivia is wearing military outerwear – it's a sure thing fashion-wise. 

The bad news is that the coat is by Tibi and costs more than €1,000. And €1,000 is sadly out of your January budget (or, ya know, ANY budget ever).

HOWEVER, there is light at the end of the trend tunnel: Penneys has this fab number AND it's landing in stores next month

The very best part? It costs just €23.

Ah Penneys, we truly love you for all of your affordable fashion and beauty essentials, but this gift bag mishap is beyond hilarious.

Some eagle-eyed Irish shoppers were quick to point out the flaw in this seemingly harmless geometric print gift bag.

While the slogan may seem to say "no peeking", the font makes it seem like it's saying something else all together.  

The way that this font is designed gives the slogan a triple-meaning. 

While no peeking is definitely relevant to Christmas, we're not sure if "no puking" or "no peeing" is exactly what you'd expect to see scrawled on your Kris Kringle gift bag.

 Although, no puking might be relevant after hitting the vino a tad too hard over the party season.

We love nothing more than a bargain, and Penneys have done us proud once again with their latest shoe collection.

Penneys have released a line of party heels and they come in two different styles, so those of you who hate getting your toes out- fear not!

There’s little better than finding a One4all gift card nestling in the middle of a birthday or Christmas card.

But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t regularly curse the fact we couldn’t put it to good use at our favourite Irish store – Penneys (obvs.)

It looks, however, like our luck has finally changed!

If there’s one thing the world needs more of, it’s Penneys!

Liffey Valley has announced that it will open Ireland’s 37th Penneys store at 9.30am on Tuesday December 6.

Occupying almost 54,000 square feet of retail space and generating 386 new jobs, the outlet will be filled with fashion and footwear for the entire family, as well as accessories, lingerie and homewares.

Denis O’Connell, Centre Director at Liffey Valley SC, welcomed today’s announcement, saying: “Penneys represents an exciting new phase in the development of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and we look forward to officially opening the doors to this iconic store in December.”

“Welcoming Penneys to the Liffey Valley family once again demonstrates our commitment to establishing Liffey Valley as Ireland’s top shopping destination by providing customers with an extensive retail mix.”

Bring on December!

Even though Christmas is a while away, we don't care because the Late Late Toy Show has teamed up with everyone's favourite store, Penneys, to bring you some deadly branded gear.

Penneys is usually the place we all go to to pick up, well… anything.

A new top, leggings, socks, underwear – it's basically an Irish gal's favourite place on earth.

But saying that, it's not usually the first place we think of when it comes to dressing up – both for men and women.

Your other half might buy a few nice hoodies in there, but it's not the shop he goes to to get suited and booted… until now.

Yep, Penneys is after giving its men's suits a very fancy upgrade and we're all for it.

This month, the chain retail store is collaborating with Molloy & Sons to bring the man in your life a Donegal tweed range. 

It has a full two-piece suit coming in at €160, and if you want to add a waistcoat, it still won't break the bank.

However, with coats coming in at €140, some people are a little bit worried Penneys will start to have notions like Dunnes Stores.

We're loving the sophisticated selection though. Now, go forth and drag him to Penneys.

Yes, the nation's favourite store is releasing its Christmas fashion stock towards the end of October. We've just had a look at it, and it's totally DIVINE!

Milling around Penneys while snapping up the latest must-have fashions and accessories could easily be considered a national pastime at this stage.

And while most of us could offer a thorough assessment of most sections of the high street store, the Home department doesn’t always get the props it deserves.

Until now, that is.

It looks like the good folk behind the insanely popular high street store have decided it’s important we have the perfect setting for our post-shopping spree fashion show, and after getting a sneak peek of what’s on offer, we are totally on board.

Launching their Autumn/ Winter 16 season, Penneys have tapped into our nation’s love of Scandinavian-inspired furniture and created a clean, contemporary range which speaks to us on an emotional level.

From the geometric grid prints and colour blocking to the metallic accessories and stunning stationary, the Scandi Cool look has us seriously re-thinking our current décor.

 And with prices coming in as low as €7 a pop, we're totally OK with that.

Penneys has gone global over the last year with stores opening up in the US, Spain and most recently France. With level upon level of immaculately arranged clothes and accessories, beauty salons, phone charging areas and entire walls of cosmetics, these are no ordinary Penneys stores either.

After every new megastore opening we've lusted over the pictures on Twitter and Snapchat, all the while wondering when our humble Irish stores would get the same uber-glam treatment.

Well, it seems we didn't have long to wait, as one Penneys branch in the heart of Dublin has just re-launched after a major image overhaul. The re-design was done in stages over the last six months to avoid having to close the store entirely, so if you've been battling with hoarding and closed-off escalators whilst shopping there recently, that's why.

So, does the O'Connell St branch compare with the amazingness that is Primark Madrid or Boston? Let's take a look…
