Kristen Stewart is the first to wear Chanel’s couture runners

Kristen Stewart has always proclaimed her love for runners and is often spotted after a red carpet event, swapping a pair of uncomfortable heels for a simpler pair of Converse.

But thanks to Chanel, Kristen can now be both stylish and comfortable after attending many of her red carpet events.

The French designer have created their first pair of Haute Couture runners, which of course Kristen was one of the first to wear at the Cannes film festival last week.

Kristen wore a pair of sparkly sneaks from Chanel’s Spring 2014 collection, which matched her jumpsuit perfectly.

But before you head to Chanel.com for your own pair, beware these come with a hefty price tag and can only be bought along with the full Haute Couture look.

Oh well, we’re pretty sure we can get a cheaper pair in Penneys anyway.

If you thought it was bad enough that every girl in your lecture was wearing your new dress, things are about to get a lot worse!

Primark are planning on opening a brand new store in Boston in America at the end of the year.

There are 270 Primark stores across Europe and the value brand have always had great success -but how will they fare up against other popular US value brands such as Target and WalMart?

The new Penney’s store in the US will open at the historical Burnham Building which is a massive 70,000 sq. ft.

Wow – that sounds like heaven.

Singer, Rita Ora has revealed that she regularly shops at Penneys. Rita said she prefers the budget clothes so much more, to all the designer gear she usually receives.

Rita says she goes to the discount store in disguise to grab some bargains.

“Sometimes I put on a hoody and shades and go into Primark (Penneys in the UK).”

The 23-year-old singer proved she was a woman of our own hearts, as she said she usually stocks up on Penneys’ underwear and socks, before she heads on tour.

“Last time, I bought underwear and socks cos I was on tour and I’d run out of everything.”

Can’t say we blame you Rita, but not sure we would choose Penneys’ gear instead of designer clothes though.

Ahh Penneys – the one true love of every Irish girl.

Below are some of reasons we truly love Penneys almost as much as we love our mums:

1. You can actually afford the stuff in there.

How many hours have you wandered around its labyrinth of reasonably priced everything?

2. You can buy an entire outfit in 40 minutes

Including shoes,underwear, the exact right shade of bra and 2 to 3 pieces of jewellery and maybe even have change for a Supermacs..

3. Displaying your haul on your bed is so satisfying-

4. Fighting with other shoppers over the last S/S 2014 essential kimono even though you don’t need it, But you want it.

5. Getting lost once inside but being secretly happy to ditch your friends just so you can browse easier

6. Tights – Who the hell buys tights in river island? Or Topshop ? or even forever 21- not Irish girls thats who-

7. Bras and Knickers. We honestly don’t know anyone who buys the majority of their underwear elsewhere

8. Their socks

9. Picking up a carrier basket even though you’ve only come in for ‘a look around’ can be tough..

They are deceptively deep..

10. It’s part of the Irish female psyche to need €4 ballerina pumps

11. Where would be on Saturday night without a trusty pair of Penney’s pumps in our handbags?
