Penneys is arguably the backbone of Irish fashion and homeware, and there's nothing quite like being able to say 'thanks hun, Penneys,' to someone after they fawn over your new dress/coat/couch cushions.

However, before you get to that stage, there is the shopping in Penneys, and the transportation of your wares back home.

The brown paper bags with their Tiffany-blue font have carried many the pack of fluffy socks, new bedding or holiday wardrobes from the check-out to the homes of the Irish public.

Woe betide you if it rained and went soggy, but other than that, the bags are an iconic beacon of nice new 'bits.'

Thanks to their famous, recognisable status, for April Fool's Day, the mega bargain brand decided to pay homage to the bag

In a tweet, Primark posted a series of images of a new brown paper bag inspired collection.

From brollies to t-shirts to gorge heels, we were honestly considering snapping something up foir the irony factor alone – if only it actually existed.

So, you may have realised it by now… I am a massive Disney nerd.

Seriously, at 26 years of age, I refuse to drink my tea out of a mug that doesn't don my favourite characters.

That's why I am SO freakin' excited about the shiny new range of Disney goods from our pals at Penneys.

They've gifted us with everything from 101 dalmatians PJs, to Chip cups and Minnie Mouse jumpers.

But now, they have introduced a homeware collection inspired by Aladdin and his mates.

What does it all entail, I hear you shouting at your screen?

WELL, you can get yourself a shiny tea pot, in the form of the gold magic LAMP. I actually can't.

There are also some really gorgeous cushions, including one featuring the smiling face of Genie!

Fancy sipping your morning brew out of a Genie head? Well, now you can.

There's also gorgeous bed linen and tea towels for the taking!

Ladies, Chip Cup mayhem is about to recommence.

One of Beauty and the Beast's most beloved characters has been immortalised by Penneys over the last year, in the form of ceramic mugs, backpack, and the coveted chip cup purse.

Now, Penneys is treating us to a new style of Chip Cup, and it's the cutest one yet.

Disney fans will recall the heart-warming scene in Beauty and the Beast, in which Chip shows Belle his party trick, blowing bubbles in the tea he is holding.

The new Chip cup portrays that scene, and after Disney fans stormed Penneys stores last year to procure the original cup, we're sure this one will be just as much of a sell-out.

The Chip Bubble mug is going for €6.00 in Penneys stores, and is available right now.

Along with Chip, you can also pick up his Mum Mrs. Potts to keep him company.

So, the snow is pretty much a distant memory, and we can all start getting excited about Summer.

The sun, the holidays, the cocktails… but most importantly – the CLOTHES.

No more heavy jumpers and rain jackets (well, almost), when the summer arrives we'll have a chance to wear dresses, sandals and all the good stuff.

However, as we all know, Summer in Ireland lasts approximately 6 days, so we can't justify spending a fortune on sun-friendly fashion.

Ladies, listen up!

So, you may have noticed that Penneys has seriously upped its beauty game over the past few months.

From fancy makeup brushes and affordable lip kits to gorgeous nude eyeshadow and nifty nail polish, it's easy to see why everyone is raving about the ever-growing collection.

And as if we didn't already love it enough, beauty buffs are no comparing the brand's 'My Perfect Colour' longwear ultimate matte foundation to the holy grail of high-end cosmetics, Estée Lauder's Double Wear.

Both products promise perfect coverage that stays in place all day long – but seeing as a 30ml bottle of Double Wear retails for around €36.00, Penneys' €6.00 alternative is definitely worth a try.

Insta MUA says Penneys’ beauty is the best thing she’s found this year

OK, in case you haven't noticed already, the girls here at SHEmazing HQ are just a little bit obsessed with Penneys' beauty products.

From build-your-own eyeshadow palettes to lip kit dupes, the PS beauty range is packed with high-quality products – minus the extortionate price tag.

We fell in love with the collection upon its release in 2014, and it has remained a staple in our makeup bags ever since.

And it looks like we're not the only ones that feel this way.

Kattan, or @hudabeauty as she's known to her 24 million Instagram followers, is a beauty blogger/ makeup artist turned businesswoman.

Famous for her Kardashian-like looks and owner of her own business, Huda Beauty, it's safe to say Kattan knows a thing or two about makeup – which is why we were delighted to hear that she's a huge fan of Penneys' budget beauty range.

Reviewing the PS liquid lipstick, the MUA admitted that the bronze shade was "surprisingly pigmented", but did warn users that they should expect to reapply.

Next, she tried the brand's Diamond Lip Toppers which she said give a pretty shimmer to lips that are not in your face or excessively glittery” and “smell like the sweet glosses of the 90s, but we love the throwback.”

According to The Independent, while she did note that the collection's packaging is not very high quality, the beauty mogul said she loves "that this gives you the chance to play, especially if you’re not massively into makeup or just want to try out new trends.”

Describing the range as the "best thing we've discovered this year", Kattan was hugely impressed at the cost saying: “You could probably fill an entire makeup bag for less than £30.”

That pretty much sells it for us tbh.

There’s a pop-up florist opening in PENNEYS on Valentine’s Day

From 12th–14th February, Dublin’s most fashionable florist The Crate will be popping up in Penneys flagship store on Mary Street, selling unique wildflower-style bunches.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the pop-up will offer Penneys customers a chance to get their hands on a medium or large bunch of fragrant blooms for their home, office, or that special person in their life.
