Carrie Underwood has announced that she and her husband, Mike Fisher, are expecting their first baby.

The singer, who rose to fame on talent show American Idol back in 2005, revealed the exciting news on her Twitter account with an adorable photo.

Showing her two cute dogs, Ace and Penny, wearing little jumpers that read “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister”, Carrie wrote: “In honor of “Labour” Day…Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier!”

Carrie and Mike, a hockey player for the Nashville Predators, have been together since 2008 and were married in 2010.

Well, if that’s not the sweetest announcement we’ve ever seen, we don’t know what is!

Congratulations to the happy parent-to-be on this exciting news!

We certainly weren't expecting Chris O'Dowd's Ice Bucket nomination – but Dawn O'Porter was, and IS expecting! (See what we did there?! No? We'll see ourselves out…)

The Roscommon man took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and used the opportunity to announce the fantastic baby news by nominating ‘Baby O’Porter’.  He then turns the camera to Dawn who pours a glass of water over her baby bump, so there is absolutely no confusion – there IS a baby on the way! 

By the sounds of it he or she will be an O'Porter, rather than an O'Dowd – which makes sense seen as Dawn added the 'O' to her name as a way of recognising their union. And Chris has spoken out about how he'd like to be an O'Porter too!

"You know, I thought she was joking when she mentioned it at first. And then I just thought it was so cool. I mean she got a lot of stick for it in the UK. I think the people thought it was a silly celebrity thing or something.

"She's a feminist, so she didn't want to give her name away. But she also thought she wanted to take something of her husband's, you know, and the O is hugely meaningful. O only exists in Ireland. So you're taking on my nationality as part of your name. I found it very touching. I would have loved if we were both called O'Porter."

Awh – could he be any lovelier?! We bet he's going to be a great dad too!

Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley has revealed that she is expecting her first child with her fitness trainer boyfriend Tom Pitfield, and she says it feels “100% right”.

The actress, who plays Eva Price in the soap, says that “It's like everything has gone fast forward, but it's not remotely scary.

“If you'd told me that before my next birthday I was going to meet someone as amazing as Tom, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, that we were going to be planning for our first baby, I would not have believed you in a million years… it's crazy.”

She says that while she hasn’t been with Tom all that long, she knows he’s the man for her:

“People say that when you meet the right man you know, but I never ever believed that. I thought, 'No, you need to get to know someone'. But after three months of being with Tom I knew he was absolutely The One. And it's the most amazing feeling.”

The couple are expecting their baby in March next year, and we can’t help but wonder if Corrie will write her pregnancy into the script! How cute would that be?! Congratulations guys!

Hayden Panettiere has finally admitted that she is pregnant!

The actress has been very tight lipped on the subject since speculation began, although her visible bump had given her away some time ago.

Now it seems as if the star is finally ready to reveal to the world that she is expecting her first child – and what better way to do it than with an ice bucket challenge?!

Hayden’s ice bucket challenge was shared on Twitter and Instagram by her friend, Derek Hough who wrote: “Couldn’t figure out hoe to post it on @haydenpanettier twitter so I’m posting it for her #als #icebucketchallenge (Hayden shortly went into labour after this) Jus kiddin.”

Hmm, judging by Derek’s joke, the actress must be due sometime soon – how exciting!

Hayden also confirmed the news herself in the video, saying among the names she nominates: “my unborn child” before being doused in ice cold water.

This will be the first child for Hayden and her partner, Wladimir Klitschko, who became engaged in October of last year. 

Congratulations to the happy couple on this news, we're sure they are super excited about their growing family! 

Today is also the actress' 25th birthday so we hope she is being spoilt rotten! Happy Birthday Hayden!

Huge congratulations are in order for actress Milla Jovovich – she’s expecting her second child!

The Resident Evil star took to Facebook yesterday to announce the good news:

“This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town, South Africa to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, but… My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!!”

Yep – that’s right, Milla’s having another baby and you’re going to have to wait a while longer for the next Resident Evil. There’s no chance of anyone else filling Milla’s shoes in the film either as her husband is the director. The pair, who already have one daughter named Ever Gabo Anderson, have decided to wait until their baby is born to start filming:

“Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes…”

Hey, we would choose cupcakes over zombies ANY day so we can’t really blame her! She added:

“In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition.”

Don’t worry Milla, we understand! Just promise to keep us informed on all the possible baby names ok?

Kimberly Wyatt and Max Rogers were on their honeymoon in New York last April when they discovered they were going to be parents for the first time!

The former Pussycat Doll and current Got To Dance judge is VERY excited, and she’s planning on raising the baby in England, even though she’s American herself:

“I love the life Max and I have built here. England is home for me now.

“And there is nothing cuter than having a baby growing up with a British accent.”

Well, that’s as good a reason as any really, isn’t it?

Kimberly says that keeping her pregnancy under wraps was a bit of a struggle at times, especially when she had to do a naked photo shoot for a fitness campaign! How on earth she managed this, we’ll never know, but it must have been in the early stages as she doesn’t think she’d get away with it anymore: “I feel like in the last day or two I have literally gone ‘pop’.”

The singer is still best friends with her former band mate Ashley Roberts and says that she was delighted when she heard the news:

“When I told her, it was so emotional – she was thrilled for us, which was lovely.”

Oh – and guess what? It’s a girl!

“We went for the second scan, at 20 weeks, and they said, ‘You’re going to have a daughter’.

“And then when I felt her kick, it really connected with me – I’m just delighted.”

Zoe Saldana’s pregnancy may have sparked some concern for Avatar fans as she is meant to be filming the sequel where she reprises her role as alien warrior Neytiri, and how is she meant to do that with a baby bump?!

However, director James Cameron said that it won’t affect the filming schedule at all:

“The beauty of doing the performance capture is that she can be as big as a house and it doesn't really matter.

“She might have some physical limitations running around through the jungle, but we can get around all that stuff, because we're not photographing her, we're 'capturing' her.”

Besides, Cameron says that Zoe may well have given birth before filming starts: “The way the writing and preproduction is working out, we probably won't start until the first quarter of next year anyway.”

Fans watched with fear as Big Brother contestant Kimberly Kisselovich was removed form the the house and rushed to hospital two weeks ago. 

Now, it has been revealed that Kimberly’s medical issues were caused by an ectopic pregnancy.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilised egg develops outside the womb.
 
Ectopic pregnancies are life threatening for the mother and baby.
 
Kimberly has since said she became pregnant during her time in the Big Brother house, having slept with contestant, Steven Goode. The model has been warned by doctors that she will likely need surgery to remove the egg from her fallopian tube.
 
Kimberly is devastated by the diagnosis, and has been told there is a possibility she will not be able to have children in future: “I’m really concerned. Steven’s speaking to all the doctors – he’s really upset … The doctor has said that there’s a chance I won’t be able to have children. I’m trying to keep positive because we don’t know for certain.”
 
Poor Kimberly, this is such a difficult thing to go through, we hope she feels better soon.
